Nocturne.
Hiatus!
Long ago, the sea lay an empty, dry wasteland. It could accommodate for naught.
U n t i l . . .
"May the sea rise."
A call.
Soon, inhabitants— human and Pokémon alike— began to fill the once empty wasteland. They built cities from the ground up, formed a strong community.
They called it 'Umibe.'
Hundreds of years worth of construction later— a combined effort of the citizens of Umibe and their Pokémon— Umibe is a bustling beach city town, filled to the brim with inhabitants and the biggest variety of Pokémon one could ever ask for. Lagun has taken his place among the people as their Champion, Mayor Tide runs her city with a resolve to prosper, and Professor Cove takes a great pride in the many Pokémon she researches. By all accounts, things are as perfect as can be!
However... one force has always been determined to destroy Umibe, and history repeats itself:
Team Drought.
Generation after generation of Drought alumni have tried to destroy the city by draining the very sea it is named for, but all have failed at the hands of Umibe's community. Yet... the newest leader, Drouth, has a determination like no other— and could easily finish his task single-handedly, if he so desired.
Umibe may stand tall, yes.
But some are to see it falls to its very knees.
Umibe's central oceanic scene and namesake, the Umibe Beach is a popular training, camping, and hangout spot. Many Water-types and Ground-types can be found roaming around the beach, let it be in the wading waters or the hearty mounds of sand it brings.
A city just off the coast of Umibe Beach, a plethora of independent businesses operate within Bay City's walls. Fire-type Pokémon certainly seem to enjoy the warm temperatures this city provides in surplus.
For those who desire both the warm hominess of suburban living and bustling life of the city, Wan is a true home. Most Pokémon Nurseries, Pokémon Centers, and Pokémon Shops find their place here, along with a variety of cafés, restaurants, and parks. Normal-type Pokémon seem to enjoy the many parks and recreational centers.
Where most homes of Umibe reside. For those unaccustomed to the bustling of city life— or those desiring to settle down with their Pokémon and loved ones— Utsumi is a true hearth. Grass-type & Bug Pokémon appear to enjoy the many gardens Utsumi inhabitants have installed in their homes.
Umibe's central cityscape and resident metropolis, most corporations reside within Kaiganno, and it is always bustling with city activity. If you're looking to enjoy a night out on the town, Kaiganno's the place to be. Poison-type Pokémon take a strange liking to the pollution. The main draw, however, is the Champion's Dome.
Umibe's main travel hub. Though mostly used for voyages to other regions though it is al
Where most Pokémon trainers go to find their companions. Rock-types perch over bridges of stone, Fighting-types engage in combat with the other Pokémon, while Fairy-types thoroughly enjoy the peaceful environment Umibe Forest offers. Many other Pokémon also roam about, in between the abundant vegetation.
Where most Ice-type Pokémon reside, a constant sheen of snow rests over the horizon. This area is one of the few Umibe sights not often visited.
Always cluttered, Professor Cove's lab is a haven of research nonetheless. Most Pokémon research pertaining to Umibe is stored on a variety of cluttered desks, along with a variety of plant life and historic relics.
Disguised as a dilapidated, closed-down restaurant, Team Drought's hideout hides in plain sight smack in the middle of Wan City.
Umibe's current mayor. Extremely headstrong, her main goals are to fight against Team Drought with vigor, and keep Umibe the vibrant beach city many, including her, love.
Umibe's resident Pokémon expert. She's studied in many other regions, but has maintained a steady career in Umibe, first and foremost.
Umibe's current Pokémon Champion. He may've started off with a mere Popplio, but he is living proof one can go from rock bottom, to the very top of the ranks.
Leader of Umibe's most feared adversary, Drouth leads Team Drought with a pure iron fist.
