Triple the love

• Muse A and Muse B are in a committed relationship and very much in love. Almost a year ago, they decided that it was the right time to try and expand their family. Unfortunately, Muse A and Muse B have not been able to conceive. Before they explore adoption as an option, they decide to see a fertility specialist. After some testing and a lot of worrying, it turns out that the couple could possibly get pregnant with the help of fertility drugs. Muse A begins to take the prescribed medications, and the two continue to try having a baby.
  
• On a follow-up visit to the doctor, routine blood work reveals that Muse A is now pregnant. The couple is thrilled! Even though it’s early, they immerse themselves in preparing for the baby’s arrival. When it comes time for Muse A to have their first sonogram. Muse B is of course as their side and so excited to catch a glimpse of their baby, their eyes glued to the monitor. The sonogram tech takes a deep breath before relaying what they’ve uncovered. Muse A and Muse B are about to become the proud parents of triplets.

Nicole took what must have been the millionth pregnancy test since she and Paul got married and they decided to start having a family right away. Almost two year later they were still childless. She stared at the two sticks she had peed on and screamed in delight when the first showed up positive "Paul! Paul! Look!" she said excitedly, showing him the positive result on the test "We're finally going to be parents!" she said with sheer delight, kissing him passionately.

Early morning sun had crept it's way into their apartment in a bustling New York City. Their apartment was a nice and basic set out. A living room, two studies, a small bathroom and kitchen along with a fairly small and cramped balcony. It was small but fairly luxurious for the middle of New York.


Paul's company had been making nothing but profit for the last months. The pharma company was always big bucks and Paul managed to be in charge of one. But, despite somewhat wealthy and happy, a large hole filled their life.


They want a kid.


Rolling over from the bed, Paul initially groaned until he processes what she was showing him. "Babeo," he muttered softly, slowly awaiting from his long sleep. "Wait. Wait. What, what is this?"


Throughout their relationship and marriage, Paul always blamed himself for them not being able to conceive.

"It's a positive pregnancy test!" Nicole said excitedly, kissing Paul passionately "We finally did it sweet heart, you're going to be a daddy!" she said excitedly

Paul, at first, was a little taken back but then it hit him. "I'm going to be a Daddy?" Michael asked confused before he worked out. Happiness rushed through him as it hit him. "We did it!!"

(You mean... "Yes I am"??)


Nicole nodded and kissed Paul lovingly "Do you have to go to work today? I really want to make a doctor appointment and an ultrasound" she said excitedly

Pulling her stop of him, he rested his hand on her waist. "Babe, I more or less run the company, off course I can have the day off!" Paul explained, a wide smile on his face had appeared.

"Yeah... But do you have someone to manage it today while you take off at my whim?" Nicole grinned, kissing Paul passionately as she gave him a bit of a lap dance.

"I'm suppose to have a meeting but I'll get Aaron to do it." Paul whispered softly inbetween the kisses. He didn't really like having to think about Aaron while Nicole was more or less giving him a lap dance. "But, I'm on the board of directors, I can do whatever."

"Well as long it doesn't hurt the company..." Nicole said smiling down at him "You're only going to get this for a few more months... Then I won't be able to give you attention like this, so you better enjoy it while you can" she giggled, going right back to kissing him and doing her dirty dance for him.

Paul just smiled, keeping his hands on her waist as she continued to do her dance on top of him. "Better make these next few months last. I want all the attention in the world." He muttered slowly.

Anna grinned and finished up with Paul "Ok, I really need to make this appointment, why don't you go get your shower?" she giggled, grabbing the phone


(So this is where he sees the negative test on the sink)

Standing himself, Paul stretched and gathered a towel to cover his bare body. Walking through the bedroom to their ensuited bathroom, Paul stood at the basin and noticed another test.


It was negative.


Picking up the stick, Paul walked back through their fairly messy bedroom and walked into the living area. "Babe? What's this?" He asked but Paul already knew what it was.

Nicole looked up at Paul and her smile fell when she realized what he was holding "The second test.... It's negative, isn't it?" she asked, her eyes and voice expressed just how disappointed she was as she hung up the phone. She hadn't gotten through to anyone yet at least. "I shouldn't have gotten my hope up..." she murmured, sitting down on the couch now and staring at her feet for the longest time before she looked back up at Paul "I think it's time we saw a doctor.... I think something is wrong...." she saw softly, trying her best to hold back her tears.

Seeing Nicole's heart break absolutely ruined Paul. Dropping the test into the rubbish bin, Paul walked over and sat beside Nicole, wrapping his arms around her. "I'll ask around. I think someone will know a good doctor. It's not your fault." For their entire marriage, Paul always blamed himself for not being able to conceive. He never told Nicole that he blamed himself but after every test, he'd fall into a mild depression and lock himself away in his office, claiming to be doing some work. In reality, he'd lock his door and sit playing video games, blurring loud music.

"No... These things just happen.... False positives...." Nicole murmured, wondering if she would ever be able to have a baby with Paul "I guess you don't need to take off of work" she sighed "I'll see you tonight" she said softly.

Paul looked at his wife and sighed. "If you want me to take the day off, me and you can have a day together. I could get you theatre tickets, for tonight? Maybe that would cheer us up?" Paul proposed, embracing his wife tightly. His eyes caught a quick glimpse of their wedding photograph.

"No, it's alright honey.... I really just need to get work done around here..." Nicole motioned to the immaculate house as if she were planning to wipe away all the imaginary dust "Besides, I thought you were going to go ask around for a referral?" she reminded him, feeling like she really needed time alone for a bit to get over the devastation she felt.

Paul nodded sadly, feeling a mutual feeling of utter sadness. "If you're sure, I'll go. If you want to come by later, we could get lunch or something." Paul whispered, letting go off the embrace before heading back into the bedroom. The bedroom had clothes scattered across it, the only none clean room in their small but comfy apartment.

"I think I'll take you up on that offer for lunch" Nicole said, brightening up a bit as she went to make Paul his black coffee that he loved so much, putting it in his special thermos and handing it to him as he came out in his business suit.

Taking his thermos from Nicole, Paul sighed tiredly. Embracing her, he kissed her gently on the lips before smiling. "Come by at one, we'll go where ever you want." He told her, picking up his backpack before leaving the apartment, leaving the door unlocked.

Nicole smiled a little, she felt like Indian food for lunch.


Paul's secretary, Jenny smiled when she saw him come in to work that morning "Good morning Mr. Cobb, your new intern is here" she motioned to Jessica


"Good morning Mr. Cobb! It's a pleasure to get to study under you!" Jessica said, standing up quickly and thrusting her hand toward him to shake his with firm confidence that she knew she was only faking. On the inside all she could think about was how intimidated she felt by his power and how unusually attractive she found him; especially when she had been expecting an old man!

Entering into the office, Paul first saw Jenny. She seemed more than eager this morning. "Good morning Jenny." He said, with a smile as he stopped. An intern? Who the hell arranged this. Sighing, due to him beign tired, Paul took Jessica's hand and shook it.


"I'm sorry if I seem a little confused, I didn't know I was getting an intern." Paul paused for a brief moment. "Or that we were accepting and taking on interns this year." Paul continued. His eyes didn't shift from the thermos so he didn't bother to scan her body in anyway.


"Just, follow me Jessica. And introduce yourself. I'm guessing you've just finished college?"

"Mr. Cobb? I brought you the applications about 6 months ago and you read through all 100 applications and picked her" Jenny reminded him "You signed the paper work any everything, do you want to see the copy?" she offered, riffling through a file and holding out the file on the applicant to him.


"Yes sir!" Jessica said excitedly "Now I'll be at your beck and call" she said in an especially bubbly tone.

Paul just look confused at the paperwork. "Oh yeah. That program." He muttered. "Alright then Jessica. Let's head into my office and we can talk." He told her, walking her back to his office. Sitting himself in his leather chair, he awaited for her to sit down and start to introduce herself.
