As I wrote on the CS, write the role you'd like that character to have on there. I'll be going through the CSs at a later date checking the different roles and who wants them. Maybe I'll even find a character that I want another role applied to because I love it that much. Otherwise, people are mostly going to receive the roles the ask for.

I've started up my CS, but before I go all out on it, I need two infos:


1. Regarding the modern picture: Do we use real pictures or drawings/anime/animation/whatever? I'm just asking 'cause of the fantasy setting, which is often leaning towards drawn pictures. But then it says modern, which I personally associate with real ones. I'm guessing animation, 'cause it's the example style, but I just wanted to make sure.


2. Is there an explanation of the roles? I did read the lore and the tribe information, but maybe I've just blacked out somewhere. Is it just hierarchy or are there certain tasks tied to those positions?


I dig the setting more and more by the way. ^_^

A leader is... well, just that. He/she could act as a dictator or ask his/her people for opinions, but all the decisions is up to this person.


Second-in-command is the leader when the leader ain't there. Probably close to as respected as the leader.


The champions are the two best fighters in the Clan/Tribe at the time, second only to the leader, in case the leader was picked by his/her strength.

Actually, I do have one last question: Is our civilization modern or more... land-ish and old? 'cause the text makes me think Fantasy RP with villages and no electricity etc. but you asked for modern pictures, haha. I just wanna sure 100%</p>

Otherwise, yeah, people and things are modern. We just live in the middle of nowhere because dangerous monsters and animals ruin any large settlements.
 
Argh, yes, of course I'd forget the most simple, first information. >_> I'm so sorry for asking that. I just didn't wanted to give her knowledge of guns or... I don't know... modern tattoos in a primitive setting hehe...


But now an even greater love for this kindled. I LOVE modern settings with magic so much. ^_^ Alright, now onto my CS....
 
Very nice stuff Prizzy; you've convinced me. I love the whole modern mixed with non-modern stuff, plus the fact that everybody has fire related powers is a nice change! Reading the lore that's there so far gave me a good idea of a character to use too, so I shall be joining! That said, I've a quick question: what kind of post detail are you looking for? Whatever the answer, you might want to put it down in the rules tab :P


Imma start on a very rough WIP and then hopefully get the form finished by Tuesday!

I'm hoping to get wildlife and geography down in the lore section soon as well.
 
I was going to say 'Prizzy, where's the setting stuff wahhwahhh' but remembered you'd said you were still working on stuff :')


If you're still stuck on rules (and don't mind me sticking my nose in), you might also want to include how active you want people to be, how many characters we're allowed, and general grammar stuff: third person, past tense, expecting people to actually be able to write. That kinda stuff :)


 
I've got a very, very WIP up just to try and reserve a role. That said, I'm kinda waiting on the whole multiple characters thing before I even decide if I want to go with her as I've realised she'd be rather difficult to RP well.
 
Ah. Most of those things were things I wasn't going to specify, because I wanted to be lenient. Now that you say it and all though, I've never been a fan of multiple characters (though I might have to do it myself this time).
 
Just the one character then, ok :) I'll delete that mini form for now then as I don't feel fair holding a spot I might not even want there. I'll rethink my character for Tuesday then :)
 
In the rules section you mentioned that the 'default' role is gatherer, but in the char sign-up the lowest in the hierarchy was hunter and there was no gatherer. Are they the same?


Just making sure as well.


Also, I didn't quite understand if modern technology exists.
 
They are the same, although I think I had a brainfart. I'm just going with the definition Forager=Hunter/gatherer, so there you go.


I changed it in the CS's.


 
I'm about to touch on technology in the lore section, as well.
 
...and now that another day has passed, I've completely forgotten why it was I decided to ditch my old character :P Oh well, I know what I'm doing now anyhow and am going to pop up another very cheeky very-WIP to reserve a spot. I'll write it up properly tomorrow :)

Though I can say that @Azalea You're not going to be a leader at the age of 17, especially not when you're in the clan that lives to be 170 years old.

I've just been reading through the characters now, and it seems I've completely misinterpreted the Ebony justice system XP In any case, it seems the grand majority of the characters so far are quiet, independent folk, and my character was going to at least vaguely continue this trend so I'm once again gonna mix things up and come up with a different one :P
 
@SkyGinge Ebony Justice system? Indulge me, this is as much of the character's creations as mine at this point.


But aye, I would appreciate someone who's not black (ohgodthat'sracistkriyzestop). Maybe you'll be our first Purple?
 
Had I known how popular the Ebony ended up being, I would gone with Crimson. Argh. But I made my character preeeeeeeeetty much Ebony centered, so... no backsies. Emo Black 4 lyfe
 
Was just thinking the same myself, yeah. I was under the impression that 'you can do anything as long as it gets you the desire result' would lead to a lot more amorality, or at least in a new 'trend' that my ebony character would have been a part of. Not to worry; I can use some of my ideas and form a character different to those we have so far. I'll make some very minor edits to my very minorly created form soon so that you can update your data ;)
