Messiah of the New Night
Shortly after winning the American Revolution, and settling in to a new, Democratic government, settlements within the new United States of America were ravaged by a new fear. Those of the puritan faith began to call out many on accusations of being nonhuman, casting witchcraft, or being in league with the Devil. Those accused were often given unfair trial and sentenced to death. Many believe it was a time of ignorance and misbelief...
These accusations made by the puritans were not unfounded.
Magic does indeed exist. Demons of Satan's faith walk among the living, tricking them into abandoning God's light in favor of magic and power. As the American states expand westward, so too, does the influence of magic and evil.
While the pale faced Americans are easy to deceive, the Demons thought, their influence has found heavy resistance in the western tribes of Natives. Their connection to the spirits and the afterlife allow them to see through their disguises and keep their path pure. As the tribesmen find themselves growing further outnumbered by the palefaces, many have begun to resolve to assist them, to rid them of the Demon's influence.
A roleplay set in Colonial America, mixed with the presence of Magic and the Supernatural. Due to the existing xenophobia of the day and age, any and all supernatural creatures would be called demons, even if they insisted otherwise. Even if they're a benign species, such as an Elf or Fairy, in the eyes of the humans, they are Demons. These accusations made by the puritans were not unfounded.
