Name: Ariiasqthylinh Auth Kaedos
Age: 16
Pronouns: They/them
Species: Banded water snake mutant

Appearance: Tmnt Arii part 2.png
Drawn by me

Standing at a solid 5'9" excluding the length of their neck, Arii is unassuming by yokai standards, save for the length of their tail, there's nothing quite unusual about them, being exactly average height. Their only real notable features are the necktie they keep on at all times, and their eternally-too-skinny build, with their ribs easily visible under their skin.

Personality blurb:
Arii is what they would refer to themself as "a cold mess". Whether or not that's true remains to be seen, but regardless, when they're not being incredibly anxious, they're focusing so hard on a menial task they forget to do basic health things such as eat. Their opinions change rapidly depending on who they're surrounded by, and convincing them of something is simultaneously the easiest and hardest thing possible, and any time anyone tries, they end up talking themself (and anyone else) in the vicinity in circles.

Backstory: Arii started life as a simple little banded water snake—living life, eating fish, swimming, and getting kidnapped by ultrom. Well—that last one wasn't simple, but to Arii's dumb snake brain it was. Thus passed most of Arii's early life, being experimented on every other week, and being fed far too frequently for an ectothermic animal. In any case, by the time the lab exploded, they were in their mutation's infancy, no more than a toddler meandering their way away from the loud noises and heat of the burning lab. They managed to swim their way out and end up in the harbor of New York, whereupon they were found by a well-meaning human who saw a very small lizard thing, and simply decided "Well, they're mine now."

Arii's been living with Jet ever since—with the help of a cloaking broach they... er... acquired.

Arii doesn't even know they have mystic abilities, at the moment.
How much of their past do they remember: Arii remembers only liking fish and the idea that there were less of "them" than before. Occasionally, they'll find themself missing someone they don't know.

Mystic ability:
Arii has the ability to create items so long as they know how they function (e.g; they could create a cup, but they wouldn't know how to make something like... a submarine). These items disappear once Arii's done using them. The larger something is, the more emotion they need to power it.

Inherit abilities: Arii can hold their breath for around fifteen minutes if pressed, they're pretty flexible naturally, they can see marginally better than most underwater, and the webs between their hands allow faster swimming.
Important skills: Arii knows computers inside and out, they can take things apart and memorize how they go back together while doing so, and they're officially certified to scuba dive.

Weapons of choice (optional depending on character): The closest thing Arii knows how to use in combat is a forearm-length knife.
Other:
They have a cloaking broach
The hidden city scares them
Neurotically straight-A student

Name: Luc
Age: 18
Pronouns: He/Him
Species: Mutant Border Collie

Appearance: A cheerful and deceptively tall ( 6'1 ) puppy of a guy
tmnt luc 2.png
Personality blurb: A bastard , but a fun one. His pranks are legendary ( in his own words ) yet plentiful. The boy doesn't seem to have a care in the world other than having a good time and annoying his friends.

Backstory: A human turned mutant that does not remember being human in the slightest. He is currently under the impression he was originally a dog. After being mutated and scurrying away from the lab that caused it , he found himself on a search for a new family - as every dog should of-course have a family. This had led to many-a-misadventure as he continuously fucked up and had to start over from scratch. Most of these fuck ups involved taking things that were distinctly not his.

How much of their past do they remember: Sometimes gets a familiar vibe, but nothing else.
Mystic ability: Gravity, he can create a thin bubble around himself and objects he touches to change the weight of the item, making it lighter or heavier. The bubble will dissipate 3 seconds after contact is lost.

Inherit abilities: Like a doggie, he can smell and hear very good.
Important skills: A fast talker with a silver tongue. He rarely looses arguments- despite not being all too smart. Charisma does all the heavy lifting.

Weapons of choice: Baseball bat. He pick it up and wack

Other:
- has no job, if he want something he yoinks it.
- Can and will make puppy noises
- Really likes going for runs, but rather go with someone else.

Name: Joe-Joe, people tend to just call him Joe, thinking the full name is redundant, much to his dismay.
Age: 19
Pronouns: He/Him
Species: Yokai, Japanese raccoon dog (Tanuki)

Appearance: Standing at around 5'11, Joe has a rather wide and chubby stature due to his natural body shape and his sedentary, laidback lifestyle. He likes to wear his favourite crimson red hoodie with Japanese caligraphies on it. He also wears a black bandana headband, just because he thinks it is cool.

[Nice works! You guys motivated me to try drawing him, I'll do it when I am able to! But this reference works really well, as it inspires the otaku part of the character.]

Personality blurb: Friendly, protective, and a little sassy (especially when his love for his Japanese picture books is offended), Joe has a generally warm personality akin to his fluffy stature, he believes treating people with kindness will welcome more creatures into his life and helps him make more friends instead of driving them away. He is caring and sensitive in the sense that he is motivated to help and protect anyone who is powerless.

"Oh, come one. These are NOT 'Japanese picture books'...... Look for the ESSENCE." Said Joe as he held up a Japanese picture book suitable for children from ages 4 to 8.

Joe is a complete slob, and can be 'overly laidback'. He has a fascination and compulsion of collecting garbage when he is not creating any, especially cherishing garbage from humans that he finds interesting, including the children's picture books he collected and some actual mangas.

"Garbage, it's the way of the raccoons......"

Backstory:

Sneaked into the lab that is the source of all chaos, the curious and playful baby Tanuki 'shapeshifted' into the various trapped creatures he saw with his power of illusions, wandering around the lab aimlessly. Mistook for a specimen, the Tanuki was caught and 'recontained' as a specimen to be tested upon, changing the course of its life forever. It was when the accident at the lab happened that he was able to escape to New York city and restart his life. In the alleyways, among the garbage piles, he saw raccoons rummaging around. The young, helpless, and hungry Tanuki saw himself in the raccoons, and unconsciously identified as a raccoon himself. He followed the raccoons around and quietly observed, learning their ways of living and surviving, learning to be a 'proper raccoon' as he thought he should be. After trying to blend in, he was successful for a while, able to get close to the raccoons and try to sniff their butts, which the raccoons are severely confused about but ignored.

It was when the Tanuki found a Japanese picture book for children that something within him clicked. The Tanuki learned to read and write, and soon he found himself learning to speak as well from that one single children's picture book (for children from ages 4 to 8). He started to take an interest in humans, and would often observe them instead. Finding himself wanting more, he discovered mangas, and when he finally get his hand on his first manga, he fell into the rabbit hole and learned more and more about how to be a 'human', to be just as cool as those characters in the mangas. He tried naming himself with some of those fancy names in the manga, in hopes that people will think that he is just as cool.

But his behavioral changes only made his fellow raccoons fearful of him, the raccoons would simply run away, not wanting him near anymore. He could only convince himself that everything will be okay, as long as he could read more of those pinnacle Japanese literature all day long......

How much of their past do they remember: Joe lost all memories of his childhood, even forgetting his identity as a Tanuki. His earliest memories was of him trying to survive in the alleyways of the city as he mimics the wild raccoons' way of life.

Mystic ability: Illusion manipulation. Tanukis as yokai are master trickters and has the ability to creat illusions. This allowed them to turn invisible, 'shapeshift' (to the effect of cloaking broach), or create mirages. Joe, however, doesn't remember how to do any of these.
Inherit abilities: Tanuki are agile and stealthy tricksters by nature. Joe uses his Tanuki agility to his advantage, despite being slightly out of shape.
Important skills: Joe is extremely resourceful. Joe learned to reuse garbage to an optimal level, to a point that he constructed a small alleyway hideout with only reused garbages. He learned to fix and reuse broken machineries, like TVs and radios. He always keeps some garbage in the pocket of his hoodie, way more than it should fit, he likes to call it a '4D pocket'.

"Aha! Eat my garbage you piece of...western comic!!"

Weapons of choice: Warhammer, except it is a trash can stuck onto a steel pipe.
Other: He tried giving himself a Japanese name, but he worried people might not get the forced reference.

(His original character idea was a raccoon mutant who admires and is envious of the Tanukis.)

Name: Zagan
Age: 15
Pronouns: He/Him
Species: Western Hognose mutant

Appearance: Your typical light brown hognose with darker spots all over, except as thick as a forearm and a meter and a half long. Besides the changes to his size, most of the mutation was subtler, making him able to pass off as a normal snake for those who don't know his species should only be small enough to be used as a novelty bracelet
Personality blurb: He likes to behave like an edgy cool loner who has everything figured out and doesn't need anyone else, using his fake confidence to hide his actual loneliness and self-esteem issues that stem from him not being all that strong, smart, or really useful at anything. All bark and no bite, when he can't run away from something he pulls out his 'impeccable acting skills' to pretend to be a strong big shot and scare the threat away. Whenever he gets too stressed or scared though, his hognose instincts take over and he plays dead, regardless if it actually helps or not.
Backstory: Born and raised in captivity to be sold as a pet, Zagan's early life consisted on hiding from giants and burrowing around, engaging pancake mode whenever he felt anything was too close for comfort. Which was most of the time. He was a spicy noodle. Anyhow, he eventually got bought by a pet store who sold him to a disguised lab employee, which is how he ended up in the lab getting fed dead mice injected with Empyrean and attacking fingers. The explosion happened soon after, and having nowhere to go nor the intellect to find a solution, Zagan ended up in the sewers, where he's been living all this time.
His first years were spent as a normal snake hunting for rats, but when he started becoming much smarter than your average animal, he started paying more attention to all the noise upstairs. After the first few times he revealed himself ended in screams and being hit with sticks, he learned to hide all the time, observing without interacting. While it taught him the basics of humanity, like a language and a vague idea of what was what, he's still very much ignorant about the finer points of culture and human inventions and doesn't know about the hidden city or the yokai.

How much of their past do they remember: He just remembers a time when he was comfy in an enclosed space with food being shoved directly into his mouth. And while he doesn't recall ever having a conversation with anyone, he can't shake the feeling that, somehow, he wasn't supposed to be alone.

Mystic ability: Hard light. Zagan can manifest solid body parts made of energy, and manipulate them as extensions of his own body. He has no idea he can do this yet.
Inherit abilities:
-Venom: Like other hognoses, Zagan has venom meant to paralyze prey. While the mutation increased its efficiency, allowing him to incapacitate creatures the size and weight of humans, he still has rear fangs with grooves rather than the inyecting front fangs of more known species like cobras, meaning he can't deliver it in a quick bite; he has to shove his prey all the way to the back of his mouth and latch on for a while for the venom to enter its bloodstream.
-Joints: Unlike normal snakes, Zagan's flexible enough to tie himself into knots, and is also able to 'lock' his joints in the position they are to perform feats like biting his tail and rolling away from danger like a deranged unicycle wheel.
Important skills:
-Very good at tracking things by scent

Weapons of choice: None
Other: He has bad eyesight but since he was born like that he thinks that's how everyone sees
