The Overlord
Titan Age: Reborn is the the sequel to the highly controversial game Titan Age. Due to certain legal reasons the company who developed that game had to hold out for many more years in creating a new game. In fact the only reason they are still in business is because of the technology they had developed that revolutionize the tech industry. After 30 years of waiting and turning control over to the new CEO, Leonard Scott, they are now able to roll out their new VRMMORPG.

After 3 months of the game being up it was becoming very popular with people around the world. As a result other companies begged and pleaded for some way that their brands could be associated with the game as to gain more business. At the 6 month mark Leonard had announced that Nation, the company he runs, will now have there own gaming channel displaying footage for others to watch and get news about the game. Many of the said businesses had also been backing this channel as they are the ones supplying all the adds in between segments of the station. This was a huge success increasing the number of players even further. It even gave way to a trend where people will even play the game to take a fantasy style vacation away from the real world.

As for what is shown on the channel, it tracks the majors oh what is happening with the top players. Such players are also paid a pretty sum since they are pretty much being a bit inconvenienced as this makes them a new breed of celebrity. Even movie and TV celebrities are shown playing the game to appeal to specific audience members. But overall it is a good way to get news out to players without hoping they read patch notes or forums for information, as not everyone does.

After the first year Titan Age: Reborn had become almost as popular as soccer, still the world's most popular sport in the year 2045.

In Titan Age: Reborn there is no such name for the world that the inhabitants call it. All that is known that most of the events that take place are on the continent of Barliona. A place full danger and adventure, torn from a constant power struggle. Everyone who is able fights to see who will reign supreme over all others. There are some who fight for peace, power, or just for the fun of fighting. Barliona has been without an Emperor strong enough to reign in everyone under one banner.

Needless to say you can do whatever you want as long as you are strong enough to do it. Be it become a bard telling tales, a powerful warlord leading armies, or a master of magic greater than anyone has ever seen. Everything is at your fingertips waiting for you to just grasp hold of it. So rally an army behind you for your cause. Go it alone and prove that you can do anything that any other would ever be able to do. Or just sit back and watch the story unfold before you while sitting beach side while someone serves you a cold drink.

Go out and do what makes you happy!

[Note: Titan Age: Reborn runs at an accelerated time frame so a single day of play translates to a week in game.]

Islesong Island
One of the many starting zones in Titan Age: Reborn, players of all kinds love to start here if they are looking for a less standard beginning. It is also famed for being one of the great vacation destinations that those looking to unwind can go for some fun, sun, and relaxation. Don't let this fool you though as the island is still populated by monsters and creatures that will rip you to shreds if you become careless (monsters are relegated to specific locations and will avoid all tourist locations to make vacations pleasant). Players can spend all the time they like on the island and have no fear as the entire island was designed for players at level 1 in mind. The adventures that will embark on this small island will be just the introduction to all the things you can possibly do in the rest of the world.

[Note: NPCs on the island cannot be recruited as followers]

NPC Followers

NPCs can be recruited by players at a price based on the NPC that they wish to recruit for each day that the NPC will be working for the player. The number of NPCs you can recruit is based off your CHA stat [read the CS for details]. One must remember though that because NPCs are designed to be as real as possible that if you do or say anything that they don't like they can up and quit on you and might not rejoin you unless certain conditions are met. Another important detail is that because a day irl is translated to a week in game it is advised that if you plan on taking time away from the game to make sure that you pay them in advanced while having them perform task while you are away so as to not risk losing them. NPCs can never be more than half the level of the player they are being paid by and as such higher level NPCs can't be recruited. You can higher more NPCs than your CHA stat but can't brong more than your stat allows into battle.

Reputation and Trust
NPCs in the game of TA:Reborn are all subject to a numeric system that determines the kind of quest and price of services that NPCs may give to players. Reputation determines how an area views the player from a broad perspective. A player with higher reputation is seen as someone reliable and likely to be able to help out when needed. In some cases depending on how high your rep may be NPCs might seek you out for your help or even to serve you. Things like doing good acts when there is no reward, doing certain quest, and contributing to the world in an impactful way can increase your reputation. One must remember that reputation is region specific so just because you have 100000 rep one place and go to another you will only have 0 rep in this new place. Any actions that result in harming the region or cause chaos on a big scale will result in offending player to lose rep. [Note: All players start at 0 Rep/ Players with a negative Reputation become mortal enemies of the region and are killed or imprisoned on sight/ Players who serve out there sentence or pay a fee of 1000 gold per level can have their Rep reset back to 0]

Bonuses
  • 100 Rep- People have heard off your name
  • 1,000 Rep- Officials are now aware of your work
  • 10,000 Rep- The leader of the region wishes to meet you
  • 100,000 Rep- Highly respected by all in the region and have max Trust with all NPCs (even those you have not spoken too)

Unlike reputation trust is a personal system between the player and every individual NPC that they meet. Unlike reputation trust can be easily gained and lost by doing something a simple as doing someone a favor or insulting them. The higher the trust you have with an NPC the more likely they are to do nice things for you like giving you a gift or helping you out with something without you even asking. The starting value for trust depends on the race you are and the race of the NPC you are dealing with (if meeting an NPC in a group the value becomes what the average value of trust factoring in all players). When dealing with anyone of the same race you start out with 15 trust since those of the same race trust each other a little more. When dealing with NPCs of other races players have a starting level of 10 trust [5 for werewolves and vampires]. The higher your trust the more you have to do to increase your level of trust.

Bonuses
  • 0 Trust- They will not want anything to do with you not giving you the time of day
  • 5 Trust- They are not sure about you but will give you one chance to make a good impression
  • 10 Trust- They trust you enough to talk you if they have a need
  • 15 Trust- They are more likely to give a little more when rewarding you
  • 30 Trust- They like you enough to come visit you when they are not busy
  • 50 Trust- They become likely to give you a gift just because they felt like it or because of a special occasion
  • 75 Trust- They become likely to do a favor for you whether or not you asked them
  • 100 Trust [Max]- They are likely to work for you for half the normal value
