The city of Black Stone was once a city plagued by crime. Gangs and mobsters held the city hostage, while the corrupt Cops, Judges and Politicians benefited from it. 5 years ago, a new Police Chief decided to change this. He promoted his most loyal and non-corrupt officers and arrested as many corrupt authorities as possible. Others died eluding capture. The Chief, in one swift motion, changed the course of their city. By turning on the corrupt, he was able to gain a foothold. For 5 years, the Black Stone PD worked to rid the city of gangs and drug dealers. Now, 5 years later, the Chief of Police has guaranteed that the Black Stone is the most crime-free town in the country. They have reopened recruitment, and a lot of new faces are being added to the department. Will they continue with the new way of life? Or will they fall to corruption and plague the city once again?

Your job, is to simply choose. Are you corrupt, or good? Are you a rookie, or a veteran? Will you change the course of history, or will you fall into its shadow? Its your choice to make. They will be your consequences to bear.

Name: Roger "Ice Man" White

Age: 29

Biography:Roger White AKA The Ice Man joined the Black Stone PD at the age of 21. By the age of 23, he arrested 154 people for various crimes, and had 3 different mob hits placed against him. He was approached by the Assistant Chief of Police and moved into a secret unit to investigate corrupt command and officers. He soon took over this task force, and assisted the Assistant Chief when he took command and quickly cleared out corrupt command staff, whether proven or suspected. In one swift night, he assisted in arresting and removing Officers from their command. He took a Lieutenant position and helped clean the streets. For 5 years, he was feared. He was known as The Ice Man. People said there was ice in his veins. He had no fear. He had the record of a 30 million dollar assassination order on his head, but then hunted down and arrested the mob head who placed the hit. He has 2 commendations from the Chief of Police. A lot of Officers are expecting him to be granted Assistant Chief. He is the second highest ranking officer in the department.

Biography: David worked for the British Armed Police for 4 years before requesting an official transfer. With his transfer complete, he joined the first round of new rookies for the Black Stone PD. Not much is known about his past.

Pablo is more of a jerk when you first meet him, but he's like that for a reason. He understands the world that he lives in is corrupt and he knows that people lie and deceive to gain power and wealth and those people happen to disgust him. He's straight forward and honest but also sensitive and kind at the core of his heart, which people don't get to see much of. He is guarded and has a heavy, sarcastic humor to hide parts of him that he doesn't want others to see or notice.
To his partners, or dear friends and family, he is loyal and giving. He would take a bullet for a handful of people, gladly, but it doesn't seem like it with his bad cop exterior and harsh personality. He isn't judgmental but he can be incredibly rude without realizing it. He also has a bit of a temper that flares when he's dealing with liars, or just bad people in general, and it's something he hasn't fully learned is a problem yet.

born and raised in the worst parts of Black Stone, Pablo knows what it's like to see hate and crime everyday. His dad left when he was 4 and his mom had no job and had to raise him on her own while she was on the streets trying to make money the only way she knew how. Pablo spent most of his time with the bad crowd, blowing off school and doing the wrong thing until about age 14 when he realized what he was doing. He witnessed his mom's death and it all hit him in a second that he needed to get away from this life. He saw her get shot by the boy's father who he'd grown around. The boy who claimed was his brother. Only a few weeks after that, Pablo tried to steer himself away from those "friends" and become a better person, swearing he'd protect the people of the city instead of hurting them. He wanted to become a better person and most of all, a man. Pablo turned his life around, not completely, but just enough to where he could get a footing in better classes and gain some respect for being a better person than he once was. After his mom had died, he lived with his aunt and uncle who lived in a better neighborhood and gave him better guidance in his life. He calls them mom and dad ever since they took him in and they really have treated him like their own. Even know, they help him out when he needs help, and offer a shoulder for him when he falls into the dark pit of despair (which happens every so often because of his last circumstances and current turmoil).

Eventually when he joined the police force, he became one of the most well respected men in his department. He was helping cases left and right, always seemingly doing the right thing, and well liked for his surface charm that he tried to display. He never talked about his fits of rage when working out in the field. Never talked about his speeding and his recklessness at times when there was no one watching. It was like a darker side would take over when he was alone. It would hide in the shadows, waiting to come out. Pablo knows there are targets on his back for the way he's treated some suspects, but he'd never tell. He'd do anything to keep stuff like that under wraps.

Name: Marcus Holloway aka “Burny” or “Marky”

Civilian: Civilian / reputable informant

Personality:

Positives: Marcus is a very kind person but most don’t, rather can’t get close enough to see just how kind he really is, save for those less fortunate than him and others who are homeless. His compassion for others, especially those like him, is quite rare to see in the city but there have been many times he has given up some food, a coat or a hoodie to someone who suffers more than him. With what money he gets for the information he gives to the police he will use what he can to get food for others. In some ways he is seen as the care taker for the homeless. There are a lot of times where he goes out on request to get something another is unable to get themselves, his only rule for that is “As long as it’s legal”

Negatives: If Marcus catches someone looking at him he runs, if a policeman he doesn’t know is on a routine patrol he runs. If cornered by police he sits in an area where he cannot be approached from behind and covers his head with his legs tucked into his chest until someone he is familiar with approaches him. Marcus is trying his best to fix this issue knowing it would benefit himself in the long run but struggles to remain composed because his flight mentality is engrained in him. This all stems from his paranoia and fear. However he will defend himself against non police threats. He may be timid but he can hold his own very well. Marcus has terrible nightmares from when he was attacked which makes him suffer from insomnia if he doesn’t have any sleep aid which he buys over the counter. One can tell if he is getting rest or not just by the look on his face. Marcus gets an expression of being high when he is very tired, especially when exhausted. Dropped eyes and a slacked jaw gives his tiredness away. Sometimes his adrenaline will give him enough strength to flee even when on the brink of collapse.

Typical activities: When he isn’t helping others he is observing everything that is going on around him, trying to spot something that he can use as information, even a small time drug deal will usually get him enough to support himself for a little while. Marcus is usually found around the industrial area or in the northern area just outside of the city center. If no one can find him here, Marcus can be found under the west bridge as this is were he mainly sleeps. If he isn’t there, usually another person who lives under the bridge can point an officer in the right direction.

Biography: A rough upbringing from a violent set of parents has made Marcus paranoid along with a stutter that is very prominent when anxious or frightened. This childhood of his also introduced him to street life and narcotics in his early teen years which got him into constant trouble. At fifteen he was picked up by the police and was put into rehab and a home for juveniles. Rehab was successful and after a year Marcus was released from house arrest and was put into foster care. But with his conditions he fled and began living on the streets. After a few more run ins with police he made an agreement to become an informant as his memory skills were very high. Though given the option to have a home with a reputable officer, Mannis sternly refused saying that being on the streets gives him a sense of comfort knowing he can run anytime he feels he needs to. Marcus’s abilities has given him the nickname “Burny” as in he can take of in an instant forcing anyone after him to do burn outs with their vehicles. Though he isn’t fond of the nickname and prefers any derivative of Marcus. The one thing he doesn’t talk about is when he was attacked and stabbed, even though he survived, the memory of it is often too much for him. It’s for the best that the scars and the incident is never brought up.

In reality he isn’t a bad person. Marcus is cooperative if someone familiar is talking to him, but that person needs to have a positive reputation with Marcus at least for the most part. Some don’t need that quality if Marcus get a positive vibe from that person. He is also compassionate for others, ignoring his instincts at times to help someone in need. He does this due to the negativity the homeless get and tries to make a better example. There are a few cases where Marcus has chased down petty thieves and returning what they stole. However most police see him as someone who is unpredictable and cannot be trusted. Some believe he should just be arrested and be done with it, so Marcus is lucky to have made enough good impressions that keep it from happening.

Marcus has very capable parkour and free running skills which he learned quickly from running away from something or someone he thinks is out to get him or going after him.

Looks: Marcus is five foot and eleven inches tall, has blue eyes and dark brown hair. He wears a lot of patch work clothing when he hasn’t been able to buy anything new. He wears a lot of blue and red, favorite colors of his. Marcus wears button ups with a hoodie over the shirt and a beanie or watch cap for the most part with heavily patched pants. Marcus wears a decent pair of lightweight hiking boots that he takes very good care of.



Tattoos/scars: No tattoos but has a three scars on his stomach from a knife attack when he was seventeen.

Extra: Marcus as a medium ranged voice that dips towards the deeper end of the vocal spectrum but not by much. He never carries a weapon incase he happens to be arrested. This way he doesn’t have to explain the weapon in his possession . Macrus normally has a backpack on him Incase he finds anything useful that had been tossed away. The pack also has a canteen and a couple of sturdy bottles that are always filled with water and a can or two of food most likely some kind of soup or chili. The only drug he carries on himself is over the counter sleep aids and he keeps them only to himself. He really wants a good pair of gloves.

Marcus has a few close friends, Jonas Keri, Darren Vaughn and Lily Carlyle.

Darren is his closest and most trusted friend. Darren has taken after Marcus in the sense of helping those around him but is afraid of police. However Darren is cooperative when they are around.

Lily is around thirty five and is someone Marcus seeks when he is unsure of what to do in a situation and sort of sees Lily as an older sister.

Jonas is a few years younger than Marcus and is very stubborn and has a bad habit of disrespect towards others even if that isn’t his intent. Marcus has been looking after him for a year or so.

Marcus have given allowed his friends to let Law Enforcment know where he is if they cannot find them.
