For thousands of years, the Empire of Tsuranuanni has ruled the civilized portions of the world of Kelwan. Ruled by the Emperor, the Living God and Light of Heaven, and the Warlord, the Empire has expanded and flourished. The lands of the Empire are divided into hundreds of estates and territories, each ruled by a House. The Lords and Ladies of these Houses are eternally locked in The Great Game of Council, a conflict between each of these various Houses to secure superior positioning within the Empire, and see their House advance in station. Outright war is forbidden between Houses, as such conflicts could risk destabilizing the Empire and exposing it to threats held at bay along its numerous borders. To play the Game, Lords and Ladies fight in the shadows of the Empire. Launching raids against trade convoys, burning crops at night, and out maneuvering their opponents in the markets to receive more profit.

So, that is a general feel for the world the rp will be set in. Not the most information, but if you have any questions I can do my best to answer them below.

A key change though is that metal is a very rare commodity on Kelwan. Only ruling lords and ladies are likely to have a sword made of steel. Instead, most weapons and armor are made from a special kind of wood that can be roughly equivalent to bronze in strength.
