“ War is coming. ”

For almost a decade, the continent of Kesuac has been ravaged by rot and war. The kingdom of Eleshe has thus far been able to avoid BOTH. However, their turn is nigh. The ever growing empire of Calvarat has chosen Eleshe as its next target and their drums o’ war have begun their banging.

Eleshe was shook by this news and now many abandon their farms and hamlets to flock to the capital city of Serene. King Laurent II is ill and old, thus his kingdom be in the hands of his two daughters.

But whilst the princesses plot their tactics- the capital city crumbles apart from within its 30 foot walls. The city guard has been halved… with the better half going off to war. This has led to an influx in crime activity, especially with the notorious Thieves Guild.
The Church Of Cissira has decided to take the city into its own hands and “restore order”, but their attempts have thus far been futile.

And to make matters worse, a sickness has started inside the city that causes people’s insides to go black with blight.

Will order be restored to the city?
Will the war be won?
Or will Serene’s walls fall?

War is coming.

-----------------------------

This RP will focus on the city of Serene and its inhabitants as their situation gets more and more dier and as a ferocious army comes closer and closer…

Here’s some things to know :

Eleshe -
Eleshe has prospered for decades whilst its neighbouring countries have not. The kingdom is fairly young and liberal. People come to Eleshe to be who they want to be and do what they want to do. There are three major cities in Eleshe, each by The Sea Of Songs. The rest of the country is just farms and forests and villas and villages.
Eleshe is also known for its arts and cuisine. Theatre troops travel cross country putting on plays and almost every native Eleshian knows how to make a good brisket stew.

Serene -
The heart of Eleshe, and “the city of sinners” ( as named by The Cissirian Church ). Serene is a large city surrounded by walls that reach 30 feet. The city is notorious for its ‘underbelly’. The Thieves Guild run rampant, as do brothels and drug dens. Poverty is prominent also. The slums of Serene are some of the worst on all the continent. However, the areas closer to the castle are bountiful in wealth and prosperity.
The city is a paradise to some, but a personal hell to many others.

Calvarat -
The Calvarat Empire was once simply just Calvarat. Until it waged war against The Ashen. Calvarat took their land and burned their cities until The Ashen were only left with, well, ashes.
That was almost thirty years ago- and since then Calvarat has conquered two other countries and incorporated them into their Empire. The Empire is ruled by its Empress, whose father was known as “The Conqueror”. The Empress has big shoes to step in and what better way to step into them than to conquer the kingdom of Eleshe.

Kesuac -
The continent of Kesuac lies within The Sea Of Songs. It is a large mass of land with six large countries. Kesuac’s terrain varies from shore to shore, with a boreal and mountainous region in the north to sandstorm filled deserts in the south. The people of Kesuac are also quite varied...

The Angakook are a race of dwarves that reign in the jungles of Angkook. They are fair skinned, but oft covered in dirt and camouflage. As they are dwarves, they do not grow higher than 4 foot. They are hairless and have terrible eyesight, but their other senses are more in tuned. They are persecuted by the other peoples of Kesuac and often referred to as “Ferals”.

The Ashen are a race of humans that used to call the northern island of Nayara their home. They are freakishly tall and have skin as white as milk. Their hair is usually cream coloured or grey. They are known for their peacefulness and piety. Since being conquered into The Calvarat Empire- The Ashen have fled their island and sought refuge in places like Eleshe, Kerrence, and Sathur.

The Calvarians are a human race that rail from the original country of Calvarat. They are fair skinned and usually don’t grow higher than 6 foot. They mostly have blondish red hair and are known for their military prowess and their tempers

The Eleshians are a human race that hail from Eleshe. Eleshians in the kingdom’s north are pale skinned with black hair. Whilst those in the south are more tanned, and are prone to be more brunette. They are known for their laid back attitude and romantic nature.

The Erritish are a race of Orcs. They hail from Urragal and Kerrence respectively...

The Urragalian Erritish are the more brutish of the two and are infamous for their immense strength and their bulky weight. Their skin is usually a shade of green. They are also known for their worship of a snake god and the fact that they eat their dead.

The Kerrencian Erritish are the more scholarly of the two. They are very tall and their hair quickly grows down to their toes. Their skin is usually a shade of pale blue. They are known for their cleverness and the Kerrencian College nestled within the heartland of their homeland.

The Maragiks are a type of being that possesses magic. They can be a dwarf, a human, or an orc. They are few in numbers due to the fact that they have been essentially hunted to extinction by everyone. The only race that accepts Maragik are The Sathurians. The Maragik have an in-depth magic season which will be explained later. You can identify if someone is a Maragik by the marks on their body- as for every spell cast, a small black line will appear somewhere on them.

The Sathurians are a race of humans that come from the deserts of Sathur. They are dark skinned and are often brunette. They are an odd people that don’t really get along with any of the other races of Kesuac because they basically keep to themselves. They are known for their skills in commerce and their toleration of magic.

Maragik -
Maragiks used to be plentiful. People born with a gift. There are three schools of magic used by Maragiks. Body, mind, and soul.

The school of body magic involves =
Conjuration

Healing
Puppetry

And Transmutation

The school of mind magic involves =
Coercion

Divination
Illusion
And Mental Manipulation

The school of soul magic involves =
Abjuration

Mediumism
And Necromancy

The easiest school to learn is that of the mind, followed by the body, followed by the soul. An average Maragik would dabble in all three, though dabbling in all three stuns your ability to become more focused and more powerful.

In order of easiest learnt magic to hardest =
Healing

Divination
Abjuration
Illusion
Conjuration
Coercion
Puppetry
Mediumism
Mental Manipulation
Transmutation

Necromancy

Everytime a Maragik successfully uses magic, a small black scar will appear on their skin. The more scars a Maragik has- the more likely that they are a powerful Maragik. However, the more scars also means that the Maragik is closer to death. As one scar removes one day from your lifeforce. So if a Maragik were to live up to 60 years of age, they would have to NOT use magic to preserve that date. Each spell cast equates to losing a day of your life.

Each class of magic can be enhanced via “blood magic”. Blood Magic is the act of cutting yourself and shedding blood before casting a spell. Doing this makes the spell much more powerful, however consistently using blood magic can take a huge toll on one’s health and mental state.

Maragiks are NOW only a few. Most Maragiks were hunted to extinction in the last two decades. Maragiks are looked at like they are the scum of society and they have no ‘rights’ whatsoever. Most now live in hiding, usually covering their body to hide their marks.

Though there is whispers of an underground Maragik Guild within Serene.

The Church Of Cissira -
The main religion on Kesuac is that of The Church Of Cissira. Cissira is The Goddess Of The Earth And Sun. The religion is most prominent in Calvarat, Eleshe, Kerrence, and Sathur. However, Calvarat and Sathur worship Cissira’s rival Astera ( who is The Goddess Of The Moon And Sea ).

The Thieves Guild -
The Thieves Guild is a prominent group of rogues and smugglers in Serene. They are led by The Lingering Owl, a master thief who is so good at what they do that most members of The Thieves Guild don’t even who he/she is.

So, is anyone interested? I am going to refine of the ideas a bit more before putting up threads- but I just wanted to see if anyone was up for it! I think it'll be pretty fun. If you have any questions - ask me below or shoot me a PM!
