-Enhanced ability: A staple ability for soul mages, Enhanced ability increases a casters natural skills by nearly tenfold, though use of this ability is incredibly draining. For Alexander this means that he can increase his aim to inhuman precision and give himself the agility he needs to dodge projectiles and escape traps unharmed.

-Detonate: Alexander charges a bullet with soul energy causing it to rupture and explode violently when it hits its mark.

-Soul bullets: Alexander's pistol does not reload like a normal firearm, instead he shapes small pieces of soul energy into projectiles which can be fired from his pistol. This allows him to alter the effect of the shot, ranging from healing bullets to fire and poison, though the bullet must be altered before it's loaded into the pistol.

-Mage hand legerdemain: With his free hand, Alexander creates a floating hand out of soul energy which he can move anywhere within a 30 foot radius of himself. With some concentration Alexander can turn the hand invisible, but it reappears if this concentration breaks. The hand mimics his own actions allowing him to interact with complex objects at range, giving him the ability to do things like pick locks or disarm traps from a safe distance. Can use both hands to make two mage hands at the same time if both hands are free.

A mastercraft firearm, this pistol serves as Alexanders primary weapon as well as his spell focus, allowing him to not only cast powerful spells through it, but also utilize enchanted bullets. This revolver fires six specially crafted rounds before needing to reload.

A finely crafted sword gifted to him by an old party member, Alexander uses this sword as a backup in close combat.

Armor: Leather armor and his trademark backpack which seems to hold everything he puts into it without giving, Alexander's gear reflects his practical and agile nature.

Training: Alexander graduated Lyzander's academy with a major in dungeoneering, as well as training in all of the prerequisite skills. He also has a great deal of experience in the field.

Character Details

Personality: Straight and to the point, Alexander is a man who doesn't like to waste time with formalities or jokes. Often called businesslike thanks to his professional attitude and quiet nature. Alexander likes things that are practical and reliable, often sticking to and teaching his older methods, preaching their reliability over newer techniques. He prefers to make his class into a very hands on experience, and will often create trials which the students will spend the period completing to show their understanding of the concept. The man tries his best to help his students, taking their success in class and life as his utmost priority, to this extend he spends a great deal of time tutoring or performing one on one lessons late into the night, with classes the next morning. This means that he is usually a very weary person, coffee being the mans life blood to keep him coherent enough to carry out his lesson.

While Alexander is old for a professional adventurer he still keeps himself in good shape, whenever he isn't busy with school work he can be found practicing his techniques to keep himself sharp. His favorite thing to practice is mapping, an act that he finds somewhat calming, almost meditative.

Strengths:
-Expert marksman: Alexander has a high level of skill with his chosen firearm allowing him to fire quickly and accurately.
-Agile: Even for a man of his age Alexander is surprisingly mobile, able to outmaneuver most opponents.
-Dungeon smarts: As a professional dungeoneer, Alexander is familiar with many tricks of the trade allowing him to spot out many things that a greener dungeoneer would not such as mimicks and hidden rooms.

Weaknesses:
-Old fashioned: The definition of an old dog, Alexander sticks to the tricks of the trade that he learned years ago, forgoing more modern teachings.
-Physically weak: Alexander's combat specialty involves dodging and avoiding rather than meeting threats head on, this means the man strongly lacks in physical strength.
- Retired: The man hasn't set foot into a dungeon in years, because of this he may be a bit rusty.

History: Alexander Flinté was born to a family of noteworthy dungeoneers, the Flinté family was known for being the best in their time which left few options for the future of him and his brother, Andrew. Together the two took quite well to the craft, and soon became competitive in their accomplishments. When they were old enough to attend the academy they were quickly accepted and joined a party together with two others, an elven arcane mage named Lyssa and a paladin of light named Elric. Together the group of them formed the perfect team, Elric took the front, guiding the party with his deities light, Andrew and Alexander took to disarming traps, mapping the dungeon and taking enemies down at ranged, while Lyssa kept the group safe from magical traps and used her versatile spells to aid the party.

They passed the academy with flying colors and went on to gain renown for their ventures, but with great adventures came great risks. Elric was the first to die, slain by a powerful golem at the end of one of their ventures, but the group was tough and they figured Elric would want them to soldier on. In the next few dungeons the party went into dispair, Elric was an important part of their team, and they couldn't deal with the gaping hole he left in his absence. Lyssa and Andrew fell during a rather nasty encounter with zombies in one of the later dungeons, Alex just barely managing to escape himself and retired from adventuring soon after. With nothing left to do, Alexander spends the rest of his life dedicated to teaching the younger generation in hopes of preventing his own mistakes.

    Other: Martin is one of the few professors who'll join students in dungeons. He attends mostly to collect samples of flora or fauna from the area before returning with the students. There have been cases where he goes off alone or with a small group of teachers to help him collect what he needs.
