Raneth
Woman of Letters
Name: Ethan Clancey
Age: 16
Appearance: Ethan isn't a particularly tall teenage boy, nor is he very short. He stands at an even five feet and nine inches, with a fairly average frame verging on the slimmer side. His short straight hair is a deep brown, appearing black under the right lighting, and his eyes are a rich chocolate. Despite these warmer features, his skin is quite pale.
Personality: A complete introvert. Given the visages he would see almost daily, ranging from mild to horrifying, Ethan has inclined to shut himself in more in order to protect himself from any non-believers or taunters. Along with that, he takes medication to tide off the undesired phantoms, and holds a deep fear that people in his regular life would find out that he's slightly off his rocker. When otherwordly apparitions aren't tormenting his every waking moment, however, Ethan is a relatively normal kid. He enjoys video games, music, and shitting on the crappy system that is known as life... even if it's just in online chatrooms and anonymous social sites.
History: From the minute Ethan can remember, he's been able to see things he shouldn't. What her perceives them as is cause of some form of insanity, refusing to believe that he can actually "see dead people." And while many can be quite tame, there have been rather invasive visions that have left him terrified and sleepless. At school, he had few friends, although he wasn't particularly harassed by anyone. He just did what he could to blend in and go unnoticed... and, for the most part, it worked in his favor. Few people ever seemed to acknowledge him and equal parts of him both cherished and despised the fact.
Only recently, he had caused a scene that turned his life around completely. Approaching him in the hall one day, right before the bell for third period, was a man that was missing an arm and had his head nearly cleaved off, the bone sticking up out of his neck where his head should have been. This had induced a breakdown within Ethan, and he became known as the school freak in practically an hour. But rather than openly make fun of him, they simply made jabs behind his back.
Believing that perhaps the town was just no good for him and he needed open country, his parents soon opted for a small home out in the boonies, where the fresh air would be plentiful. It worked well in his mother's favor, too, since a major city was around an hour away from where they would be living and provided better transit for her small business. And so, here they are. Two months after the incident, with only four months remaining in a new school where the population was significantly smaller and more judgmental than the last.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_04/655cafd7e441abcae6f195bea0123119-d41etpd.jpg.38990c63688d671c49f3161f5c57f588.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="116580" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_04/655cafd7e441abcae6f195bea0123119-d41etpd.jpg.38990c63688d671c49f3161f5c57f588.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>
