Leopold's father is the CEO of an internationally known tech company, Invictus Technology, a company he built from the ground up when he and his mother immigrated to America. It was the American dream that paved the Von Galen family a path of luxury and success. When they officially reached the mark of becoming multi-millionaires, Leopold was conceived and born as their only child and heir to the corporation. They are the ideal family and primary example of immigrants making a successful living in the land of the free. But like all picture perfect families, there was always a darker image behind the frame. The taste of wealth and prosperity corrupted his parents; his mother spends money like there's no tomorrow and his father would be buddy-buddy with up and coming tech creators, only to take their ideas for his own. In an environment like the Von Galen's, it was only natural for Leopold to be caught in the crossfire as he was growing up. Fredrick would force into his head the mentality he had, and whipped any weak trace out of his son. Young Leo during these times wasn't allowed to whimper nor cry, if any sound left him it would add on to the amount of lashes he'd get. Leopold was born to be strong and the processes Fredrick did onto him only ensured that, he built an image into his head that if you want greatness, you must do it yourself and do anything to achieve it. Success wasn't about the free handouts or helping hands, that just showed you were a coward, uncut for the barbaric world ahead. That's what Leopold has grown up to know.

His parents weren't very present in his life, the only time he would see his mother and father in the same room would be for holiday dinner with guests. Other than that he only saw his mother when she needed more clothes for her next trip and his father when his maids would inform him of a not-so acceptable grade in his papers. The only true form of company he had were with his music tutors in his youth and the numerous staff in his household that cater to his every need.

When the time came where he wished to be a part of Crators' Institute of Prestigious Comings, he didn't run to his father to bribe the school, Leopold took the entrance exam and passed with flying colors. When offered the scholarship he refused and prodded his father to pay the tuition, he wasn't a beggar desperate for a free education, he just wanted to prove that he wasn't a wealthy bimbo either. From there he spent his time at the academy creating a name for himself and gaining popularity from the student body for being an ice king with the brains and money to boot. In the eyes of the scholarship kids, he's a prick and to the majority of the old money kids, he was the shit. He wasn't a bully per say, but he made it known that he was better than every person in the school. Maybe that's why he was recently suspended from the debate team.

No matter, maybe he could find another thing to do while those idiots realize the mistake they've made...

【general description / projected aura】 Leopold stands tall and walks like a king in his palace. He bows for no man and pierces all who question him with his cold amber gaze, eyes filled with judgement and disdain. Some may say he wears an invisible crown on his head with the way he tilts his head upwards, always looking down at others as if they were beggars beneath his feet. His physique is slim, yet toned from all the swimming he does in the summer at his private pool, he could even throw a couple punches if needed. But if given the option, he'd rather not do any physical brawls for it would bruise his porcelain skin. The presence he has on people is magnetic, his voice is authoritarian and demands the attention of all who hears it, if he were to play an extra in a school play, the limelight would somehow find him nonetheless. Though he would never let anyone lay a finger on him, his skin is soft and his hands seem to have never worked a day of their lives, and they probably never had to be put through any form of labor whatsoever. Overall, a well-polished young man who looks the part of being one the old money kids who attend this school, and he takes that role with pride.

【vices】 If it wasn't obvious enough, Leopold is a prick. Everything he does, he does for himself. In order to ensure success he's willing to kick others down with no hesitation. His mindset is a dog eat dog world and at the end of the day, it's just business. He lacks empathy for people and sees any form of expression as weakness. It would be an understatement to call him selfish, and though he's practically drowning in wealth, he shares with no one. With extreme judgement in his eyes, he thinks people are as good as their social background until proven otherwise (and rarely do they prove themselves to him). His words are made of venom and they drip with his sarcasm and are naturally his weapon of choice in an argument. The only way he acts anything close to "nice" is if he feigns it; he'll only act the part if he requires something from you, and after you served your purpose he'll throw you away like chewed gum. People to him are the gravel beneath his Italian leather shoes and just mere stepping stones to get what he wants.
【virtues】 There is no doubt that Leopold isn't extremely ambitious. If he sets a goal for himself, he will do whatever it takes to reach it. He's incredibly strong-willed (even if that makes him also stubborn) and will never settle for 2nd place or settle for anything that isn't the best for that matter. And though his father has the big money to pay for his entrance, he has the intelligence to prove his place and pass the entrance exam, naturally being the top of his class and making even faculty sweat, fearing that at any possible moment he could curtly raise his hand to correct them. In terms of passing schoolwork, he's diligent and responsible, and though it seems like he could care less, he is hardworking when it comes to his academics, and would cancel any prior commitment to finish a project. He's a natural when it comes to making excuses up on the fly and somehow getting himself out of trouble, which makes him quick-witted and a natural liar (not like that's a virtue though) Leopold was born to be a leader and though he's not the most pleasant person to be around, he does his job as a commanding figure to his peers quite well.
【fatal flaw】 He has a superiority complex which makes him hard to make a compromise with.
【likes】 Springtime, iced coffee, opera music, French pastries, sunsets (he will always look out his window to see it), photography & abstract art (a guilty pleasure of his), and literature focused around tragedy.
【dislikes】 Rain, the color fuchsia, excessively sweet candy, being told what to do, cheap shortcuts, settling, hot drinks, alcoholic beverages, showing weakness and ugly / outdated wallpaper.
【fears】

• Getting yelled at / hit- Although he's not intentionally afraid of the two occurrences, no matter how many times he'll try to stand his ground, he cant help but flinch when a voice or hand is raised towards him.
• Rodent animals- If a rodent in any form is even in the same vicinity as he is, he will run.
• Thunderstorms- Much like his fear of getting yelled at, this is one of those fears that come natural to his body. The sound of the echoing booms from the dark sky will make him flinch and jump wherever he stands or sits.

【learning instrument】 Like everything, it all started with a hobby. Even to this day, he finds playing music as a hobby. His mother had purchased him a violin when he was 5 during one of her trips to France and from there, he was hired a professional tutor to teach him how to read sheet music, and effortlessly play notes. The journey of him learning how to play the piano wasn't all that different, his mother was always reckless when it came to what she bought on her many vacations, and her travel trip to Poland got Leopold a grand piano by the age of 10. The exact same piano still stands to this day in the foyer of their vacation in Amsterdam but now he has countless of others which he plays on occasion. His father finds it as an adequate way to impress house guests and business partners whenever they came for dinner. He even likes to remark that it'll help get him a fiance.
【understanding of music】 He sees music as the sheet music, he reads it as it is and plays it as it is written to be played. And although, admittedly talented when he plays piano, there's always a lack of emotion in what he does. He doesn't lack passion per say, rather he's holds it back when he plays.
【favorite song】 "Der Hölle Rache" in Mozart's "Magic Flute"
【favorite instrument】 Although he generally doesn't go back to it much, he has an appreciation for the first instrument he learned to play, the violin and still keeps the one he used as a child underneath his bed.

personality: On the surface Lila is a soft-spoken and charming girl, but to those who know her better, she is a flighty person, who is overly friendly and quite childish, throwing tantrums when things don't go her way. She also becomes obsessed with people and things easily, and will oftentimes go to extremes to obtain them. Her emotions are clearly strong, but she does not have a tight hold on them. What is undeniable, however, is Lila's pure heart. She may be a pain to deal with at times, but she is an innocent. She never wishes misfortune upon anyone. And she loves singing. More than anything in the world. It's like breathing to her, she needs to do it. She usually doesn't worry too much about how other people perceive her, but when it comes to singing, she can't stand people thinking she is not good enough at it.

She listens to music of all genres and could probably make you a playlist just based off of one conversation with you. Music, more specifically singing, is the only thing she's good at (or at least that's what she's come to believe). There is something so emotional about the way she sings.

history
bio: Lila comes from a fairly wealthy family. Her father is a chief surgeon and her mother is a corporate lawyer. She also has an older brother named Jacob. Growing up, Lila lived a very sheltered life. She got everything she wanted, but there were also high expectations for her to meet. Her parents wanted her to one day follow in their footsteps and barely ever gave her the chance to choose what she wanted to do. Not intentionally at least. When she was young she took flute lessons, then shortly after singing lessons, and it was in those classrooms where her love for music was born.

When it was time for her to attend secondary school, Lila's parents paid a large sum of money for her to go to Crators' Institute of Prestigious Comings just like her brother. Knowing that the school did not have any music classes, and was focused on academics, Lila fought against this decision. She would have gone to literally any other school so as long as she could study music. It was her passion. Her love. Her everything. Her parents did not view music as a possible future career for her, however, and forced her to go to Crators'. They also stopped paying for Lila's singing and flute lessons, and encouraged her to study other, more academic, subjects.

Today, Lila and her parents have a distant relationship at best. She continues to attend Crators', and, while she is not a troublemaker, she sometimes causes trouble for her teachers due to not wanting to follow instructions. Her love of music is much more hidden today, but it is stronger than ever. When she finally leaves the institute, she hopes that she can pursue her dreams of being a musician.
