The Sorcerers Apprentice (Loke FullbusterXRobin man)

Loke Fullbuster

The Language Enthusiast
After the murder of his family, a young boy is placed under the care of a man whom he finds is really a sorcerer. Will the sorcerer and his apprentice ever warm up to each other? Will the boy be able to convince the corcerer to train him, so that he can exact revenge, and avenge his family's death?

Greyson followed his social worker, James up to the nice house. James looked back at Greyson and smiled as he waited for the door to be answered. "So... You ready to meet your new daddy?" He asked. Greyson looked up towards the man. "I'm not a kid you know... besides... He'll never be my dad." the boy said with a frown. James got down on one knee in front of the boy. "Cmon Grey. You can't be like that anymore. To be honest with you that attitude of yours is what threw all your previous adopters off. We've been at this for a year now and I'm afraid that this is your last chance, so give it a try." James explained. Greyson scowled at him. "It's what your parents would want." Greyson sighed and looked downwards. "Fine" the boy mumbled. James ruffled his hair. "Good." He replied. "Now, let's see if your "caretaker's" home." James knocked on the door once more.

Charles was asleep at the first set of knocks. He slowly sat mumbling something to himself. He looked at his alarm clock. 11:00am it said. Was it time already? He knew that the boy was coming today, but he never though this early in the morning. He slowly stood up and he cracked his back, making a few popping sounds. His doctor told him to not do that, that it'll make his back pain worst, but oh well. He got dressed, knowing the boy don't want to be scared shitless from the view. He put on a white sweater and normal blue jeans. Even in the middle of August he still wears a sweater, for some unknown reason. He walked through the dark house, no lights were on, all curtains were closed, so no light anywhere inside. He opened the door at the second series of knocks. The sunlight blinded him for a moment. "Is it time already?"

James looked at Charles. The man looked a little disoriented but... "This'll have to do." He thought. "Charles, I want you to meet Greyson." James said as he yanked the resisting boy in front of himself. "Say hi Greyson." Greyson waved nonchalantly at Charles. "I'm Grayson." He said non-enthusiasticaly. "Well you guys haven the rest of your lives to catch up... Why don't Charles and I go sign these papers, while you play in the den... If that's alright with Charles." James turned to look at the man. Without waiting for reply he walked past Charles into his house. "What a... dark, dark, and lovely home you have here." He said as he searched for a light switch. He clicked it on and set the papers down. "Now, I need you to sighn here... And here... Here... Here... There... Over there... Right here..."

As all this went on Greyson viewed the home. "It's a nice place." He said to no one. "Just wish mom and dad could see it..."

The house was surprisingly clean, considering that he rarely cleans. He went over to the saltwater fish tank. He smiled softly at his aquatic pets. He had around ten different saltwater fish in the tank. He put the fish food into the tank while he was saying where to sign. He looked back and sighed softly. "Alright." He said softly. He sat down and started signing the paper. Out from the kitchen a black Great Dane slowly lumbered out. He started sniffing the new kid.

"Hey doggy." the boy said as he slowly bent down. Don't worry, I'm a good guy." Greyson smiled as he scratched behind the dogs ear. "Um... Is this yours?" He asked the man. Grayson was reminded of his own dog, but it got taken away once they put him into foster care. After playing with the dog Grayson went over to the fish. "Cool." He thought. The boy began tapping on the glass causing the fish to dart off. "Grey, I'm sure Charles doesn't want you smearing your prints on his clean tank." Said James. "Fine." the boy replied.

Charles kept signing the papers. He looked over at the boy. "And it's not good for the fishes health." He finished the papers and sighed softly. "And do you mind if you take the dog out dear boy?" The Great Dane wagged his tail at Greyson.

Grayson had a stubborn look on his face. "It's your own damn dog... So instead of being lazy, why not just take him out yourself." "Woah! Grey what did we talk about?" James asked. Grey rolled his eyes. "Apologize to Charles or I am taking you back." Greyson sighed. "Sorry." the boy said through gritted teeth. "Now... Do as Charles asked and take the dog out. Grey did as he said. On the way out he heard James say. "Sorry for that... The boy can be a little harsh at times...you've heard his story haven't you?

Charles nodded. "It's not the same story I heard before. This isn't the first time I've been through this." He said softly. He looked back and saw Greyson. "Thank you lad."

Greyson ignored the man and walked out. "Let's go for a walk." the boy sighed. "I'm Greyson, what's your name." Greyson laughed. "I guess you think I'm weird for talking to myself huh?" he said to no one. "I did this at every other home so get used to it... just like I have to get used to you drooling on stuff and chewing stuff up." he noticed the dog wag his tail. "I'd like that too." the boy smiled as he rubbed the dogs tummy. After getting a couple rude glances from neighbors and finishing his walk, Greysonngot back to catch James leaving. "James... Where are you..." Grey was cut off. "I'm leaving kid. Now that we found you home you don't need me anymore." James got down on one knee again. "Sure I'll check up on you but Mr. Orian." Without a thought Greyson hugged James then quickly let go. "Sorry..." "Ahh come here." James said as he pulled the boy in for another hug. After a minute of hugs, goodbyes, and tears, James was gone... And Grey was left with Charles. The boy sat their akwardly on the couch facing the tank.

Charles was in the kitchen during the hugs. After James left he walked back into the living room. The Great Dane laied down in front of the couch. Charles smiled softly at the dog. "Glad Tank loves." Tank raised his head with a wagging tail. Charles kneeled down and started petting the dog.

"His names Tank." Grayson asked while staring at the fish. He didn't know what to do or say, then he remembered his luggage. "So... Where should I put my stuff?" the boy asked.

Charles nodded. "Follow me." He walked to the hall and walked down to the second to last room on the right. "The bathroom is right across the hall from this room, but this bedroom has its own bathroom. So you should be fine." He said softly as he opened the door into his new room. He spent two days getting it ready.

Greyson followed the man into the room. His jaw dropped to the ground when he saw its beauty. He had been stuck in a foster home for a year, and to see something like this, he was overwhelmed. "All of this..." He said sitting down on the bed. "Is for me?" he asked.

Charles nodded as he leaned against the doorway. "Yeah. This used to be all of my music stuff from when I was younger. I don't use all of this much anymore. But if you want to, have right at it."

He began rummaging through the music. "Ooh... My dad had been his one... And this too... And this cassette ta-" Grayson stopped and dropped the tape he was holding. "I see what you're trying to do." He said. "Trying to win me over with this?" The boy kicked the box of music over. "Well whatever you do it won't work. You're not my dad and I am not your son... Nor will I ever be." Grey shoved past the man into the bathroom across the hall, locking himself in.

Charles sighed softly as he stormed into the bathroom. He walked over to the box of music and he picked it up. He wasn't trying to make him like him. He was trying to decorate a room without spending money that he needed for other things, so he decided on using some old music stuff that was in his room. He looked down at his hand and he looked at a old ring that was on his ring finger. "I'm doing this for you." He said softly.

In the bathroom Gray was sobbing into a towel. "Why did they leave?" He asked. "Why did you leave me!!!" Grey kicked the door and threw some things around enraged.

Charles rolled his eyes and decided to go to the kitchen. It was almost lunch time, so he decided to make some lunch. He went to the fridge and he started to look around for something to cook.

After throwing a fit and placing everythimg the wait it originally was, Grey walked out of the room to suprisingly find no Charels. He finished unpacking and tidying up then walked into the main area to see Charles in the kitchen. He stood there staring at the man.

Charles was still looking around when he saw Greyson. "What do you like to eat Greyson?" He asked as he kite looking around. There was food yes, but he had no idea what he should make.

"I don't want anything." He said taking a seat in one of the chairs at the breakfast table. It was a lie but he wasn't taking anything else from that man "You got a phone I can use?" He asked the man.

Charles reached into his pocket and he pulled out a cellphone. It was a nice new from Verizon. He tossed it to him. "There. Then out on the counter when your done." He said before he looked again.

"Whatever." Grey said as he pulled up the keypad. The boy pretended as if he were on a call with a friend... But truth was... He had none. Grey placed the phone down as he heard his stomach rumble. "You know what I think a sandwich would be fine." He said aloud.

Charles pulled out pizza from the freezer and he out it in the oven. "There's some sand which meat in the fridge." He said as he leaned against the counter,
