Private RP with Mobius


Shadow woke up, strapped to a cold metal table, like he usually was. He hated this place, and everything in it. He detested the scientists and the experiments they did which usually hurt him, he detested the cage he had to sleep in. To them, he was just an animal with a freaky power. He saw the scientist turn his back, and as quick as a flash, he broke the leather arm strap that wad holding him down, the scientist turned and grabbed a sedative, he was too slow as he crumpled to the floor, out cold. Soon, Shadow was running, faster than he had gone before, as he was being chased by security robots. He didn't trust anyone in this facility, they were all corrupt. He dodged the bullets that flew, before leaping down into the laboratory, narrowly avoiding the scientist with nets that we're trying to catch him, he kept going, the alarms continuing to blare loudly. "Project ChaosOmega is escaping. All staff must apprehend the subject. Do not allow it to leave the building." A robotic voice repeated over and over. Shadow quickly darted into a dark gap, watching the patrols pass by. He snuck behind them and ran for the window, smashing through it, bullets flying once more. He landed on his feet, and ran towards the jetskis that lay ahead of him, taking a guard's keycard he had just knocked out. He used it to turn the boat on, speeding off, others in hot pursuit. He weaved and dodged the bullets and torpedos that were fired at him. Clearly, they wanted him to remain there, dead or alive. He could see the shore, he quickly looped round the other jetskier, his torpedo hitting his own craft, it blew up, throwing Shadow many feet into the air, who landed with a thump on the sand, out cold.

Marley was reclining in a tree not too far from the beach,arms behind her head and tail hanging slightly off of the large branch supporting her.The night had been rather calm and the crickets reflected that in their slow,calming chirp.In the woods behind her,summer fireflies turned on and off as they moved about the land,setting a peaceful,yet a little unnerving scene.It was a new moon that night and no light could be seen shining through the tree leaves,which left Mar completely hidden.For that,she was grateful.Even though she was only approximately fifty miles away from the capital of the United Federation,Central City,there wasn't any sign of the world around her having been altered in any way.However,across a large body of water,twinkling spotlights could been seen.There lay the research facility for G.U.N.It was a high tech facility as far as Marley knew and she was curious about it.Many times had she thought about sneaking in to catch glimpses of the projects inside,for she had stayed in the general location of where she was now for a week or two.She had enough supplies stashed in a small cave hidden in the woods probably a quarter of a mile back.It was her plan to eventually reach Central City and hopefully get a job there,but she knew she wouldn't stay permanently.Ever since she left Spagonia she had been a sort of wandering spirit,getting restless if she stayed in one place for too long.The area she was currently in seemed to captivate her and she figured she would stay there until her provisions came close to or did run out.


When Marley's eyelids grew heavy out of laziness and her body threatened to fall into a slumber,she heard the echo of alarms at the research facility and was suddenly drawn into alertness.She sat up on the branch,her ears swiveled forward and her eyes eagerly watching the lights in the distance.A little while later,she heard commotion in the water and kept getting closer and closer.Eventually,she heard a boom and a thud.The thud coming from the beach nearby.What's going on? She wondered,desperate for some action,but not for conflicting.For a moment,she sat perched on the branch,staring towards the area of the beach where the thud came from.Finally,she decided she had to at least see what caused the thud,if it was there still.Carefully,she slipped to the ground,landing and walking forward within seconds.She looked around cautiously,hoping nobody had beat her to it.When she heard nothing,she started towards the figure lying unconscious in the sand.It's a hedgehog, she thought as she knelt down by the body,looking over it.Interesting looking thing... she continued to analyze,wondering what he had to do with the G.U.N. facility and why they'd want him blown out of the water.However,she didn't have to long to think because she heard boats getting closer and voices coming from them.She couldn't risk being seen,but she wanted to see how they would act if they didn't find the hedgehog.So she used the Dragon's Eye to lift up the hedgehog,carefully shaking him to get rid of the sand,and darted into the woods,keeping enough distance to where she could potentially be safe yet not too far away so she couldn't hear how the people would act.Gently,she rested the hedgehog on the ground,face towards the sky,and rested her ear on his chest to make sure he was breathing.Okay,good...he's alive.What did they want with you? She thought as she glanced back towards the beach.

Shadow slowly began to regain consciousness, he is eyes being met with a dark green canvas. "Where the hell am I?" Shadow whispered as he got up, his eyes finally focusing. It would appear he had survived his craft's explosion. He noticed the person standing before him, and G.U.N soliders looking for him. He walked up to the girl and stood next to her.

Marley stepped back a bit when the hedgehog began to move.Her sword was in it's sheath on her back and her hand slowly went to it,prepared to act in case she needed to.Meanwhile,she kept one ear towards the beach just in case the G.U.N. people did something or were coming in their direction.She kept the powers of her gemstone "off" so the purple thing wouldn't glow and give their location away.That would really stink on ice if they were found because of something as silly as that.When he came to stand beside her,she eyed him a bit warily,however she did nothing.She got herself into this mess and she would have to deal with this unknown hedgehog being close to her.


Suddenly,Marley heard one of the people announce that something who she assumed was the hedgehog was nowhere to be found.For a moment,there was silence.A nerve wracking silence that made her wonder if it was all just a trick.Then,after a few more minutes,she heard one say,"We can't just let the most dangerous weapon in history just get away." She heard boots on grass shortly after that.With a quick look at what she assumed was "the most dangerous weapon in history",she nodded her head in the direction behind them."I have a hideout a little bit away.We should be safe there if you want to regroup yourself," she whispered before starting to walk in that direction,not finding it safe to stand there any longer since the search party was getting closer.

(Computer issues) Shadow followed Marley, looking back once or twice to make sure they weren't being followed. "How far away is this hideout of yours?" Shadow asked, being wary of his new companion also. He knew those people on the beach were looking or him, that was evident. The rest, not so much.

Marley glanced back at him as he asked how much farther it was."Not much longer now," she answered,figuring it was pretty close.She then looked ahead again,fingers figdeting on the handle of her sword.What am I doing? She asked herself as she took a quick glance back at the hedgehog,He could be dangerous or uncontrollable. Once she thought that,they reached a section that somebody might not think any different than the rest of the woods.Marley knew better,though.She looked towards an area were a couple of bushes were lined up together and went over to them.She easily pressed the foliage down,revealing a small cave-like den with a Marley-made wooden door in front of the entrance."If you're hungry,I have a little supply you could choose from.There's some water bottles,too," she explained as she carefully moved the door without hinges before motioning with her hand for him to go in."Hurry,it won't take them much time to figure out to search the woods," she added as she glanced towards where they had came.
