One nodded along as Trinity realized what the mission was about. That was information he could go without sharing. He didn't need people knowing it but one person couldn't make much of a difference. At least, if he was ignored. He was one person and he made all the difference in the world. Trinity, though... She couldn't make a change in his plans. Not if he covered all possibilities. Not if he predicted everything perfectly.
"Where are we going?" One repeated the question. It wasn't a question he wanted to hear. Not in his current state. There wasn't much he could do. He had enough strings in his hands to do whatever he wanted. Even getting his own country wouldn't be a problem. It was the population which would be problematic. Humans. Always so difficult to control. To point at something like a weapon and get a desired result. So proud of their history, so hateful towards anyone above them. Getting his own country would be easy. Running it with such a population... Impossible.
"I'd rather keep the long term plans to myself. All you need to know is that we need to entrench our position. Make sure nothing can cut us down. We expanded pretty rapidly over the last few years." One explained. A diplomatic reply. Should be satisfying enough.
And then she asked another question. A more difficult question to answer.
"This project is focused on gathering the best soldiers." One slowly started to explain. "Regardless of their history. If their history comes knocking... We'll knock back." One smirked and made something like a wink under his bandages. "Now, go to your room. I'd like to get this lockdown started. The sooner it starts, the sooner it'll end."
