Eternia

Eternia, the realm of the gods and goddesses that rule over the mortal realm. Shaped by the desires of the deities that inhabit it, the palace of Eternia is an endlessly growing castle full of grand hallways and endless corridors with doors lining each wall. Behind each door was a separate dimension created by the god or goddess that lives in it. The walls of the castle rose up high into the crystalline sky, disappearing into the endless expanse.

The land of Eternia was, in a word, the most beautiful place in all of existence. The grand castle was constructed of bricks of divine diamonds that sparkled like the stars themselves. The castle courtyards were expansive seas of emerald green grass and the most beautiful flowers ever. Whole forests, complete with rushing rivers and hills are contained within the courtyard. On the bank of this river sat a woman dressed in gorgeous white robes. Her long blue hair spilled over her shoulders, flowing down her back and around her feet like the river in front of her. In the woman's hands was a golden lyre. Her fingers danced across its strings with incredible mastery. The music she played was calm yet unsure, like the rushing river before her.

Orifia, the goddess of music was younger than most of the other deities in Eternia but she was still quite wise in the ways of the mortals. She had spent many many years living among them and with them. She connected with them on a level that was closer than most of the other deities. This song she was playing reminded her of the time she had spent with them. It was curious and loving and weary and unsure of itself. Orifia removed her fingers from the strings and dipped her and in the river. "Perhaps I should give this song words." She thought aloud.

Orifia

While the forest had been a nice escape at the moment, when one lives for eternity, even the most beautiful places become dull and lose their charm. With a light sigh, Orifia picked herself up, gently grasping the ivory pole of her staff which ha been floating next to her just off the ground. She began to walk deeper into the forest, following the river's edge as she went. Orifia thought back to the centuries she had spent in the mortal world. Recently, these thoughts had been coming to her more and more though she knew not why. One memory stuck out from the rest today. If she closed her eyes, Orifia could see it so clearly. The pungent smell of a barnyard filled her nostrils, the sounds of the animals, even the sight of the moonbeams that bounced gently off the crystals of her staff.
Suddenly, Orifia was no longer walking through the forests of Eternia, her mind was back in that night. The night she had arrived in the mortal world.

Orifia examined her surroundings. She seemed to be quite a ways off the ground atop some sort of wooden structure. The sky was clear and cloudless as each star in the heavens danced and twinkled in celebration. An awful smell wash over her and Orifia scrunched her nose "What in all the worlds is that?" She thought aloud. When she spoke, something moved below her, causing something to fall over and crash. Orifia looked down, now realizing she was standing atop the roof of a building. Taking hold of her staff, she walked down from the roof through the air until her feet met the ground. The dirt was muddy and sticky. It clung to her feet as she lifted them. "How curious." She thought again. Orifia had been born with the knowledge of what she was meant to do here in the mortal realm, however, her knowledge of the world itself was fairly limited.

From inside the building, she heard another noise. It seemed like someone breathing yet, it was staggered and often incomplete. Walking around the building, Orifia found the large open doors and stepped inside. The distressing smell was even worse in here almost as if it had been concentrated in just this place. The sound she had heard from outside was more clear in here as well.
"Hello?" She called out. No answer came, the sound just continued on. She searched around the barn for the source of the noise until she found three small human children huddled in a corner. Tears streamed down the children's cheeks as they looked up at Orifia. The oldest of the children grabbed a small stick from the barn floor.

"S-s-s-stay away!" He choked out through his tears, still brandishing his stick. Orifia let go of her staff, allowing it to float freely in the air as she knelt down to the children's eye level. The young boy took a step back into the corner.

"You're very brave," Orifia told the boy with a pleasant smile "but you needn't fear me. My name is Orifia. Can you tell me your name, child?" The boy said nothing as tears continued to run down his face. The goddess reached into the air and pulled a golden lyre seemingly from nowhere "Please, let yourself be calm." She whispered as her fingers began to dance over the strings. Slowly, the children began to stop crying and looked on in curiosity as she kept playing. Eventually, the children came closer and huddled around her, completely entranced by the goddess' song. This was the first time music had been played in the mortal world and it was the most wonderful sound to the children. Orifia spent that night in the barn with them, singing, dancing, and rejoicing in the wonder of song.

Orifia opened her eyes, she was back in Eternia, in all its splendor. Orifia made her decision, she needed to return to the mortal world. Though it had been thousands of years since she had set foot there, the urge in her heart to return was too great now to ignore for any longer.

[div class=1]SUN GOD RA [/div]
[div class=interbox]Interaction: [/div] [div class=locbox]Location: Gods Hand[/div]

[div class=contentbox]
The Sun was not something that was optional, it was not something that could either exist or not as an arbitrary choice it was a fact, a fact so true that not even the primordials could deny any claim of its existence. That was one of the many reasons that Ra believed that he was who he was. God of the Sun, protector of the earth, Guard of Eternia, he had many names. Although regardless of what name he held it contained such complex dominance that bordered on overlaying delusions of grandeur, the normal human might fall to their knees and beg for acceptance by just overhearing such titles in a nearby conversation. Each name, each title, carried the immense heat and overflowing light that was the body of the Sun God Ra, flowing with so much Nuclear power, it'd be impossible to contain the amount of joy you'd feel by simply being able to let the syllables of the title roll off of your tongue, and even less so describe it. A Joy that, mostly, only deities of his liking were allowed such power. That, is the Sun God Ra. And a man of that stature should have the greatest of the great, be the one innovator with incredible ideas that brought the Gods even further in development, be that in their overall power or their domain, and especially the way the mortals saw them. But then with someone of his stature, his overwhelming power, and extreme courage, why did he feel so... empty? It was a question he'd been dying to seek an answer to, why the God of the Sun, with all his power and wisdom, felt.. empty. He was as dense as the sun itself, heat practically radiated from him so intensely that to make sure he didn't cause any more harm to the earth realm and Eternia Realm, The God of the Forge gave him the golden ax Sunshine. How could something like that be affected by something as silly as loneliness?

Ra was the sun, he illuminated the world itself. Even during the night, to make sure the world wasn't completely empty, he gave Artemis and Kale, Twin Gods of the moon, some of his sunlight. And they took it and spread his light out onto the world! He created Joy! He was above all else, at least in his mind he was, maybe that was the problem. Maybe his Pride was just... too much to bare. It was days like this that he missed the God of Wisdom, she was always such a good counselor. They'd sit down and drink a cup of Godly Nectar, with her being one of the few people that Ra felt that he could open up to. Well, her and Orifia. Orifia was such a kind soul, her music calmed his eternal heart, and soothed his burning soul. Speaking of... Where was she?
