Fantasy The Monsters

Madison letting the hunger overtake her, gets up and looked for her clothes. All she had was the hospital gown since she came straight from there. She frowned and wrapped her favorite blanket around her. The one benefit was the nice EMT people let her grab her blanket and she was allowed to keep it. She wrapped it around her thin body holding the corners over her so they couldn't see the bandages from the damage she done and walked out in a daze to the cafeteria. When she got there, she sighed seeing everyone was lounging around and eating. She saw a fruit basket and walked over, grabbing an apple from the basket to eat. Once she got her apple, she saw a spot against the wall where no one was and sat carefully down, keeping the blanket around her. Once she finally sat down she started to eat the apple.

By the time he had reached there to get an apple, he noticed – people were there. “People…” he murmured, the distaste rolling of his tongue. No, this most likely wasn't Sol. Maybe one of the others but not Sol. He gazed around, tightening his lips and staring with wide eyes. He would look like an innocent child amazed by the world, if he didn't have certain tendencies.

“I wan’. an – apple~” he said, his sentence slightly broken up like he couldn't speak very well at all. He took an apple, a green one ‘cause it was more close to the colour blue, his favorite.

When asked his name he simply replied “Klaus”. Today he was Klaus, not that bad. He took a large bite like he was eating candy before looking around. People were pouring in, he would give the occasional smile but would judge them later on.

“What idiots…” he spoke loudly, not really caring who heard him.

Shane laughed and smiled as Shiloh jumped up and down on the couch. He lifted the boy up and onto his shoulders. It being Shane, he was the only one who was allowed to pick the boy up. "Now hold on tight so you don't fall off, Shiloh", making sure the boy was secure, he walked over to the trays of food. He bent down a little so that Shiloh could grab his food. Once the tray was attained, Shane stood back up and walked over to the couch. Getting down on his knees, he lifted the boy up and off his shoulders, gently placing him on the couch. "Now be sure to eat all your food alright? If you do, I have a surprise for you". Shane ruffled his hair and smiled. "Now I'll be back in a minute with your meds okay".

Shane walked away after ruffling the boy's hair again, heading to the nurse's station. Once inside, he sat down in the chair and leaned back, yawning. In this position, Shane looked up at the ceiling. He had his appointment with the doc today, something he didn't always enjoy. But if he wanted to continue working here, he needed to abide by state law and make sure his brain hadn't flipped. Shane closed his eyes and took a moment to himself before he started sorting out meds and delivering them. He wasn't one to get overly stressed, he just needed a moment to himself like everyone else.

"Nice to meet you Penny."

As he shook her hand, he definitely felt a bit of a surge of residual energy. Still, could be caused by someone else contact with her, but, his suspicions were a bit more confirmed, and as he momentarily remembered he had something scheduled about now. He made motion to stand.

"Well, I'm afraid I have to go do something, I have a game of tag planned during outside time, if you'd like to join in."

And with that, he stood up and made his way toward the staff section, specifically the nurse section, where he knocked rather quietly on the door. A privilege he was allowed was to go into staff sections for...Certain reasons. And this one was important.

Hearing a knock at the door, Shane was brought back to reality. He looked at the watch on his wrist and frowned, who could it be at this time? He yawned as he slowly got up and out of the chair and walked over to the door. Upon reaching it, Shane opened it and seen the last person he expected to see. It was Glenn, the only person whom made Shane on edge all the time. He stiffened slightly,"..oh hello there Glenn. Is there something that I can help you with? I was just about to get everyone's meds sorted out",

Shane wasn't one to get made uneasy, but there was something about this particular individual, that made Shane's hackles raise. He couldn't quite put his finger on it but something was just wasn't right about the guy. He's the only person who made the hairs on his neck stand on edge. Despite all this, Shane gave the other male a smile. Hoping to cover up being uncomfortable in his presence.

"It's been awhile. Hasn't is Shane?" He smiled. A genuine smile, he hadn't seen Shane since he the last incident he'd been working with them on, and this day called for similar circumstances.

He welcomed himself into the office, despite his patient status and the fact he should probably wait for a invitation, he felt it was in necessary.

"You remember the last time I came to your office? Similar situation going on here..."

He seemed to get right to business, he couldn't exactly risk hanging around in the staff offices all day.

"Nothing Major. Just a slight decrease"

Balan & Damian~

Balan stared up at the ceiling,he didn't want to sleep nor did he want to get up either so,he just laid there thinking of nothing and staring at the blackness of his room.Constantly he was told to get up but, constantly he chose to ignore and after awhile, they just didn't care whether he stayed asleep or not.He food was put at the door three hours ago but,he didn't want it nor did he care if he starved today. They had injected his with his medicine so,for now he was acting normal and not psycho like he was in the middle of the night.Raising up slowly, the male just started to stare at the black wall in front of him for awhile and smiled widely thinking of ways to taunt people when he heard a small boy skip down the hallway;it must be Damian.
"Wakey Wakey everyone!Time to eatttt and it's time to play games with me againn!Wont' that be fun?" he said.Damian frowned as a nurse was backing away from him,she looked afraid."Don't be afraid!I'm not gonna hurt you...don't you wanna play a game with me?"he asked with a frowned more,he didn't like it when people were afraid of him.Balan raised an eyebrow and wondered why the small boy was always happy and cheerful...then again,he is a small boy.Flipping the covers off of himself. He stood up straight and cracked everyone bone in his body then snapped his fingers so that he could be clean and dress without moving at all.He thenn proceeded to walk towards the door and open it but, that's when the lights were flashed on.Balan hissed and covered his eyes quickly,he hated direct light more than anything. After taking time to adjust to it,he walked out of his room with all top doctors and security guards eyes on him.He was the main one that would have an outbreak every night and constantly needed medication when he did have them.Ignoring them,he just wandered the hallways trying to find something productive to do.

Sol began to wonder around; he at least managed to convince the nurses that he was sane with a bit of charm. Not that it would get him that far in here anyway but good behaviour usually does the trick. He raised his eyebrows at the sound of Damians voice. To Sol it would’ve been okay, he was a kid after all. To him now, it didn’t sit well. Apparently Klaus didn’t like it at all. He found himself walking towards the sound until he stopped midway in the hall. If he was to socialise with the kid, would he too be considered like that? Or at least perceived like that. What a nightmare.

“Tch. Annoying…” he whispered to himself as he stared at his bare feet. Was it really okay to walk around the place with bare feet? Ah – well. Life would be better if he died of an infection anyway.

He gaze turned upwards and he noticed Balan. What was he to do? Switch into someone else? That would take too much effort over a small situation. He tightened his lips as he tilted his head to the side and stared at him with dead eyes. It was like he was analysing him but he wasn’t. Who knew what went on in that crazy head of his? He rubbed his foot against the smooth floor as his gaze dropped.

“…” he opened his lips to speak but closed them. He really was at a loss for words.

Shiloh giggled when he was put on top of Shane's shoulders. This a normal routine for the two, Shane would help Shiloh get his tray down and then tell him to eat all his food. He opened his food tray and blinked at the contents. It was pancakes with a packet of syrup and some bacon. "This will be easy!" he chirped. He started to eat his pancakes when he heard Damian. Damian and him were the two youngest patients. Both attempted to kill their parents, while Damian succeeded, Shiloh failed. He nibbled on his bacon and looked at all the others.

Rei smiled at the girl "Fourteen years. It's not so bad actually." he said and watched as more patients came. He chuckled at Shiloh on Shane's shoulders. "For instance, Shiloh there is a sweet kid, and one of the youngest on the ward. While Damian." He said pointing to the kid terrorizing the nurses. "He's the one you need to look out for."

Balan~

Balan yawned as his eyes turned into a normal light blue color, for now he was acting as if nothing was wrong with him.Although everyone knew that, that was wrong, this state was the one they loved the most.Balan smiled and greeted people then noticed soft footsteps behind him of someone who wasn't wearing shoes or anything from the sound they were making. He turned around and looked at the male that was behind him then tilted his head."Urm...hello."he said in the best way possible. This was the first time he talked since he got situated and calm.He blinked a few times and looked a the male watching him for a moment before speaking up once more."You're...Sol...right?"he asked trying to start some kind of conversation with the guy since he probably wanted to talk to Balan in the first place."Did you want to talk to me about something?"he asked once more seeing that the male still wasn't talking to him.He wondered what he was thinking but, didn't care to much since it was his thoughts.

Damian~

Damian frowned as the nurse had speed walked away from him and ran into another room.He heard the small whisper from Sol and gasped,"No i'm not!"he protested before crossing his arms and walking off."I'm not annoying."he said in a grumpy way as he stomped off.Damian went into his room and grabbed his favorite octopus sailor then walked into the room where Shiloh was and sat beside him playing with the tentacles on his stuffed animal.Blinking.he over heard Rei and frowned putting his head down on the table,he was close to going back into his state before he took his medicine if he kept hearing people talk about him.He didn't like it and it made him very upset but,you will only see a frown until he goes complete psycho on someone.Suddenly,Damian didn't feel like eating and pushed his plate far away from him almost making it hit the floor and it probably would if someone didn't catch it before it decides to tip over and fall.He buried his head into his stuffed animal and sat their silently beside Shiloh not feeling happy anymore/

“Hello” he spoke quietly, giving a small smile. Might as well be friendly.

“No. I’m Klaus. Sol is… asleep. He said he didn’t want to socialise with anyone” he said. He bit the inside of his cheek nervously. This was the first time Sol ever let him speak without taking over. He never really let any of the other guys speak. He said they were too crazy and they would do something strange. What did he know? He decided to step forward; you could tell it wasn’t Sol if you knew him well. The hues of his eyes were different and his voice had a more – innocent tone to it.

“I don’t want anything. I was just lonely and you seem weird” he spoke bluntly. Pretences were exhausting so he decided not to put up any fake personalities for today at least. “But Sol wouldn’t want to speak to you…” he murmured lost in his own thoughts before he snapped back to reality. A faint blush appeared on his cheeks as he smiled. “Not that it really matters. We’re going to be let out anyway” he spoke happily as he giggled. His face then became blank again like the conversation they had never happened.

“You should stop pretending…” he whispered through sad eyes.

Shane frowned as he looked over at the other male. "So we're to that point again are we? You know how I feel about this. My feelings haven't changed since then". Shane didn't like helping him and his so-called "excorsit" abilites. To be quite frank, the man gave Shane the willies and if he could, he would stay as far away as possible from him. He didn't know what possesd him to help Glenn. "You know I can't do that. Unless Doc tells me other wise, Idon't feel right changing the patients meds. And speaking of patients, you need to get out of here before someone sees you. You may have certain priviledges but that doesn't mean you can come in here whenever you want. Now please leave, I don't want you in trouble". Though the man did creep him out and so forth, Shane coudn't stand seeing someone get in trouble if he could prevent it. It had to do with his compulsion to always want to help someone. Which was why he was here. After all, Shane was a nurse as well a patient. Just the patients didn't know about that part and Shane wanted to keep it that way.

Glenn sighed and shook his head at Shane's refusal

"I was hoping I could get them changed before Med time today. But I guess I'll just have to ask the doctor ..."

His look of disappointment wasn't really very genuine, as he knew that the doctor would most likely comply with him, and he could go and meet with him later.

"Fine, I guess it's a little to early to go changing about meds anyway...Although..You think you could add some more to mine? I like the flavor of the blue ones. And those pink ones are eerily like bubblegum..."

And by that point he was already standing halfway outside the door, wasting no time to comply with Shanes request that he leave.

Going through medications was stressful but quick work, within 20 minutes Haru managed to fix everything up. Now he just needed to talk with the patients to see how they were fairing with the medications and confirm his suspicions about if the doses were to high or low. With some of his work done for now Haru got up and stretched , cracking his knuckles and neck before walking out the door to try and find Shane and Glenn so he could discuss 'certain matters with them.' Walking over to the nurse's station Haru quite literally bumped into Glenn. Falling straight on his back Haru felt the wind get knocked out of him. For a few seconds Haru laid there until he scrambled back up with his signature dorky grin on his face. Straightening his kimono and silk shawl out Haru saw Shane was also here as well and a little bit of tension in the air as well. Deciding to brighten things up Haru greeted the two cheerfully.

"Good morning you two~ and sorry about that Glenn, usually I watch where I'm going."

The pale blond boy, who still had no name, was allowed out of his room for the first time since he was bought into Rusty Hearts. It had been a week, and even now it wasn't uncommon to hear him snarling loudly any time someone looked into, or went into his room. His sheets had been shredded again. Today, they decided to see if exercise would help him some, even if he was in a straight-jacket and had a muzzle on to make sure he couldn't hurt anyone. He had been medicated with his morning meal and while he was out, they'd 'dressed' him for his trip outside of his room.

He was led from his room into the common area, the sedative keeping him slightly woozy for now. His eyes darted from person to person, from item to item. From behind the human muzzle, a quiet snarl could be heard. The nurses escorting him, let him go and stepped back to let him roam. Of course, he tried to run but found his exit blocked anywhere he went. In the end, he tucked himself into a corner and crouched there awkwardly, glaring out at the room.

Madison finally finished her apple and got up to throw her apple away. As she stood up, her blanket fell to the floor. She quickly looked around the room hoping people didn't notice the bandages and picked her blanket up, wrapping it around her again. She walked to the garbage can and tossed the apple core into the garbage then wondered if she could go back to her room to hide more. She started back towards her room and saw the nurses guarding the halls. It must be social time she thought. She sighed and looked for a safe place to sit. Though she was usually full of energy and spunk she had none of that today. She didn't want to socialize because she just wasn't in the mood. She wanted to go back to her bed where it was warm and safe. She slid down the wall and started to absently pick at her bandages, staring straight ahead, off into space. As she stared its like the room went empty and no one else was around. "Finally a empty room" she said out loud and closed her eyes. She laid her head back against the wall, enjoying her hallucination while continuing to pick the bandages from her arms.

Shiloh frowned when he saw his friend sit beside him, he didn't like seeing Dammy sad. He put his food down, breakfast forgotten. He hugged Damian and glared at the people in the room before standing up on the couch. "Otay! If any of you be mean to Dammy again I um...I'll hit you. Cause Damian is my bestest friend and no one can be mean to him. Okay!" he said with a squeaky voice but his lips were set into a frown and his eye brows were furrowed. No one was mean to his friends.

Shane was just about to tell Glenn that he'd have to think about his answer when he seen someone bump into the other male. Just going by the voice, he knew it was the doc. Shane chuckled and leaned against one of the counters, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well good morning,Sir. It looks as though you are your usuall clumsy self. Are you getting any sleep, your absentmind state seems to be worse as of late". Shane looked into the older male's bright blues, but he could see the dull in them that came from lack of sleep. Though it wasn't his place, Shane was worried about his boss's mental health. Sighing, he shook his head and waited for Haru to explain why he was here.

(OMG guys I am SO sorry that I missed nearly 3 pages. I slept over my friends house for 4 days and forgot my laptop. Can I have a recap?)

As Glenn was leaving the nurses office, planning to head directly to the doctor to get the permission to swap around some pills. It seems heaven smiled upon his endeavors and delivered the doctor directly to him.

Now. They way this was done. With a Collison of almost epic proportions. If you mind his minor exaggeration, he collided with the doctor in a most.. Colliding manner. And both of them went recoiling onto the ground.

Haru seemed to have the wind knocked out of him. But for Glenn he seemed to simply stand and wipe himself off.

"Ah. I was just on my way to see you. "

And before explaining his needs for a small medicine change. He allowed the nurse to speak and waited for there exchange to finish. Not one for rude interrupting.

Haru waved Shane’s concerns off, sure he wasn’t getting sleep and he was physically and mentally drained but he was still running…on a copious amounts of tea, but still. He could probably pull off another night without sleeping but after that he’d have to sleep. He knew this was bad for his health but they were a bit understaffed, the influx of new patients, and the little ‘problem’ they were dealing with and such had him working his nine tails off. Laughing everything off Haru made his way over to Shane and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.

“I’m not that clumsy, so mean~” Haru whined while grabbing Shane’s cat ears and tugging on them a bit. “Anyways I’m just wondering when you want to meet up and talk for a bit, have some tea, maybe talk about certain ‘problems’ you know ‘vent’ a bit.”

Unwinding his arm from his shoulder Haru than looked at Glenn. “Really? Do you have anything to report about or do you need anything Glenn?”

Alex still had yet to make any friends. He guessed it was harder then it looked. He was homeschooled since he was little so he never had many friends. It was all confusing, so very confusing. It seemed as if they were all normal and he was the only weird one, but in truth they were all mentally deranged. Mary stopped his paranoid thinking.

"You're over thinking it too much, let me get into control," she said. It felt like he was being pushed inside a box as Mary forced her way to the surface. He became the eyes that saw everything now, almost as if he were in the second person.

"So much better but..." she paused and pulled of the hat and her long brown hair tumbled out onto her shoulders. Her yellow eyes gazed out onto the crowd.

So which one of theses suckers wants to be friends with Mary?

Catherine stomach growled as she finished her plans for the day. "I should navel stopped at Dunkin Donuts before I came," she mumbled. She had an hour practically before the group therapy started, she could go into the stuff room and grab a muffin or something, except she had no idea where the staff room was. He sighed and walked out of "her" room in search of someone to tell her where the staff room was or maybe she would stumble upon it herself.

With a smile as broad as ever. He waited for The doctor to finish his response. And put in his request. Rather bluntly, as Shane was correct, if he was seen casually talking with the staff, he would most likely be in quite a bit of trouble.

"I need a minor medication change. Not for myself..Although that's a secondary and completely unimportant request, but for a certain patient I suspect of..Certain things, nothing major, just a minor decrease."

He was hoping the doctor would be more accommodating, as it was important that it happen eventually, sooner would be best.

Although he was quite sure the Doctor would have questions...In this situation, he wasn't really the authority on the matter.

The pale blond-haired male was still crouched in the corner of the room, wild wide eyes glaring out at the others who were milling around doing their own things. The two nurses that had escorted him from his room were half watching him and talking to each other, hands in pockets. There wasn't much he could do to hurt anyone like this, except running into them, but that would involve him getting close to others by choice.

"C'mon you." The two men moved toward the cornered youth, who began growling loudly and snarled as the nurses grabbed his shoulders and hoisted him to his feet before carrying him back towards his room.
