Futuristic The Madness- A futuristic Horror RP.

Set in the year 2052, humanity has been brought to its knees, though perhaps mutated is the right word. Human civilization encountered their last great challenge in 2020 when a newly created artificial virus called MS-66 was unleashed onto the population of the united states. No one knows who or what initiated it but it spread like wildfire. It took less than 2 years for the vast majority of humanity to be infected. That was when the symptoms began to arise, people started being paraniod, insomnia set in, followed shortly by vicious outbursts of Dedicated violence. They werent mindless attacks rather well thought out attacks by those who had lost their humanity and any form of resraint.

However it was the final symptom that made the virus so hard to combat. It mutated those who were infected granting them strange abilities from the animal kingdom. Violent Infected people began to gain Enhanced senses, physical attributes, and even mental metaphysical powers that seemed to defy the laws of reality. It was hell. However not everyone who was infected lost their minds, in fact a couple of hundred people worldwide managed to not only be immune to the Madness of the virus, but they seemed to bond with it in a previously unforeseen manner. They manifested abilities that rivaled the other infected, these people Came to be known as the Delta's. With governments struggling to contain the infected the wealthy and powerful began a two phase project to reclaim the world from the clutches of the Madness. Phase 1 was to gather the people who werent infected into massive bunkers across the world. Here they would wait out the virus. Phase 2 was a failsafe incase the virus wasnt cleared up. They gathered the Delta's and put them in a Stasis pod where they could be trained subconciously via Virtual reality.

Well thirty years passed and seeing as how the virus seems to drive the infected to continue to reproduce the population of infected has actually grown. With supplies dwindling in the bunkers the time to awaken the Delta's has come. But the question is can they succeed in their mission?

(Hey guys this Rp will be set in the mear future with modern day levels of technology. I will be typing up a list of powers for players to choose from when i get off work. Until then i am open to power suggestions. Hope it speaks to you feel free to ask any questions here and ill answer them promptly. Once we have 5-6 players i will produce the threads.)​
 
Power listings
All Delta's possess an immunity to any disease or sickness, in addition to a abnormal healing factor that allows them to heal from wounds in hours and days rather than weeks and months. They also seem to have slowed their ageing process down by a factor of 10 which has many people estimating the delta's will live for up to 1000 years.


Superhuman Strength- The holder of this power is absurdly strong able to punch through concrete and lift up to ten tons. Their body is resistant environmental stresses, has loads of stamina, and can even withstand low caliber bullets with minimal injury.

Superhuman Agility- Claimed by TheCoRgiGaL TheCoRgiGaL The holder of this power has uncanny speed and reflexes. Abke to reach sprinting speeds up to 120mph and react to things roughly 6x faster than a human being. Even master martial artists and foes with automatic weapons will find it hard to hit the holder of this power. The holder is also capable of a vertical leap up to 4x their height and 8x their height on a long jump.

Superhuman Sensory- Claimed by Maeve Valor Maeve Valor - The holder of this power has Flawless nightvision that is unimpeded by bright lights, their sense of smell can identify any known chemical within a 100 yards and even detect the scent of infected humans. Their Keen hearing can hear a footfall from up to 500 yards. They can even taste things in the air, and their sense of touch can detect even the slightest changes in temperature or air pressure. However all of these senses blend flawlessly and without effort in the hosts brain making it seem to be one Super sense.

Bioelectic manipulation- Claimed by Gradous13 Gradous13 - The holder of this power has the ability to generate large amounts of electrical currents within their body. The excess current is stored in an organ with seemingly no charge limit. This allows the user to stockpile electrical currents for future use. Everything from unleashing blasts of electrical energy to powering or depowering technology, even coating ones self in a powerful static field that can shock a mans heart to a sudden stop. The user can absorb electricity from alternate sources but it deals electrical damage normally to them as they do.

Pyro-Hemo (Liquid fire.)- the holder of this mutation has perhaps the strangest ability. Their blood is laced with a chemical that makes it ignite on contact with the air, burning at up to 2200°F it can reduce steel to slag in a matter of seconds. The blood pressure of the user is abnormally high allowing them to Squirt their blood out of wounds. Seemingly a defense mechanism, the heat of the blood cauterizes the wound. Since this is a passive power the user need not trigger the power on purpose, making it nearly impossible for them to bleed out.

Telepathy- Claimed by Human__Ramen Human__Ramen - the user of this ability gains limited telepathic abilities. They can easily communicate with the other Delta's, however the resistance that the delta's have to the offensive capabilities of this power only extends to them. Using this the holder can manipulate what the enemies see and even read their thoughts from long range to counter enemy plans. They can even manipulate what the enemy does or doesnt see. The range for this power is visual however, the user can only effect the minds of those they can see.

The Guardian- Claimed by S Shibe - The weilder of this power gains a strange invisible being that travels with them everywhere they go as if it were a shadow hense the name guardian. Studies show the Guardian to be a manifestation of the users Telekinetic power, it is an invisible body made of Force which can pass through matter, or interact with matter on a whim. The Guardian also acts on its own protecting the holder of this power from outside harm even if the Holder does not percieve the impending danger. Even while asleep the Guardian can be felt nearby by all who know the strange feeling of both pressure and being watched.

Accelerated Regeneration- Claimed by Wandering Grim Hollow Wandering Grim Hollow The holder of this power will find their healing factor greatly amplified. Able to grow back organs and limbs in a matter of minutes, with non critical injuries fading in seconds, their sense of pain is dulled but still there, and unlike the other Delta's the ageing for this powers holder has been cut off altogether. Studies suggest that even under the most extreme circumstances this Delta will live forever.

Biological manipulation- Claimed by HighSanguinaryPriest HighSanguinaryPriest - The Wielder of this power gains the strange ability to manipulate/evolve theirs and others biology. By consuming and storing biomass, the user can alter, grow, or even create different biomorphs, allowing them to servive in almost any situation. The even have the ability to expend biomass as bony projectiles, or even organisms that mimic/enhance organs. Consuming some creatures may even unlock DNA for the wielder to use, further enhancing them and turning them into a more effective hunter, and possibly the Apex predator.


All delta's possess a power, we are not the only delta's in the world, just the only ones in the Gulf coast of the U.S. all delta's are expected to be above the age of 15, and below the age of 50. (Not counting the 30 year stasis.) We all know each other but vaguely, we met in the three months we were being prepped for our mission. No one was kidnapped of forced into this against their will, but you wouldve been kept in the dark about what was going on until your life was signed away. The promise of being kept safe in all the Madness was enough for most, though others traded their service for perks and boons, maybe a spot in the vaults for a family member, hell maybe your life just sucked. Your History before the Stasis is yours just keep in mind we lived in modern day and are meant to be average joes turned awesome by the virus and Stasis so please no impossible military badasses, professional fighters, or super genius prodigies. Let the Madness begin.​

ANNOUNCEMENT

So just to fill you all in, we will be outfitted with badass gear, the best military equipmemt money can buy. Vehichles, Guns, Armor, medical supplies, our delta bunker is a refutable fortress with everything we will need to Purge the Gulf coast area of the infected. Hell it even has an A.I. to help manage and optimize missions, provide intel, among other things. The budget for each delta bunker is about 500 billion dollars, so in short we have almost the entire united states military budget worth of gear and equipment. So dont worry about weather or not your powers are strong enough, we have many more advantages than just that. :)

I believe you mean accelerated Regeneration right? Because accelerated ageing sounds less of a power and more like a death sentence lol.
 
Awesome that brings us up to 5. We need one more and ill start the threads. However we do have more available roles. Im gonna allow delta Vault 23 room for up to eight delta's after we get the 8th person applications will close until we reach the Delta Vault 21 on the west coast, Delta Vault 22 on the East coast, or Delta Vault 24 in the Rocky mountains right in the center of america. With the discovery of each Delta vault room for 8 more players will be open. Also multiple characters become available at that point. :)
