Nothingness

Two Thousand Club

I95kH8v.png

? No God-modding or Controlling another person's character without their permission.

? Leave all drama back at the door and keep it out of the roleplay.

? Rules will be added and/or removed at random if needed.

? Since this is basically a simple walk-in roleplay. Your characters will normally always be accepted and you may immediately post. The only time I will message is sometimes I actually will say accepted if not, will tell you that you might need to change or remove something that might be overpowered for a character or won't make sense with the timeline. Ex: being born before the inn was made but yet knew it was going to be made is a big 'nono'.

? Have fun!~

Standing from behind the large bar counter the entire time, a young male with pitch black hair had within one hand a glass cup while in the other was a small white cloth that he had been using to clean each of the different sized cups. As he stood there, spending most of his time doing so; every so often, his dual colored eyes would direct their attention straight towards the door that led into the inn multiple times. For the past several days, the inn had been rather quiet other then those who had worked for him within the building; besides that, there didn't seem to be any new guests lately that had been traveling around these parts of the forest that actually were either curious or just too tired and needed somewhere to rest up for the nights.

Honestly, this didn't bother the young male too much since money was never too big of a deal to him to begin with anyway. It was mostly just the fact that it was rather lonely around the inn when there weren't any new guests to greet and welcome to the inn was all.

After several minutes of cleaning the glasses, once each of them were completely cleaned to the point that one would be able to easily see through the glass without even finding the smallest spec of dust or remains of alcohol within them; the dark haired male simply began to make his way around the counter and began to explore the rest of the large inn. This male's name was Yukito Himura, otherwise known as the owner of this entire building; unlike many owners of inns and hotels, Yukito was more of the type to prefer to actually wander around his own place that he built to get to know everyone around it rather then be the strange one that was almost never seen.

Yukito had no need to be concerned with the thought of him leaving the lobby unattended in case any guests actually did come through the doors since he always had his employees there to greet new people coming in at all times. The only reason he was behind the bar nearby the lobby was simply because he wished to help out his employees with the required duties that needed to be done almost daily to keep the entire place up and running smoothly but as well that if anyone did show up, he wanted to greet them personally as well. Although since there was no one entering currently, he would decide to take a stroll throughout the building and possibly visit his favorite spots within the inn for a bit.

The wind blew softly over Chazel, strong enough to make hairs stand on end, but too weak to make Chazel's ling and damp hair sway more than an inch in any one direction. In this breeze came an equally soft sound. The siren was used to the deathly peace and quite of the Lunar Forest, so this sound stood out like a rotting corpse at a birthday party. This sound was easily describable; it was like the slow beat of a cold heart. The rhythm seemed to be playing more music in Chazel's head, though. As the sound grew louder and louder, so did Chazel's song inspired by the darkness of the night. As Chazel took out his harp to play some notes with the beating, a simple idea came to his mind: "Footsteps." Chazel quickly liquefied himself and disappeared into the cold lake. In his place, the water rippled, making the moon shake. To any man with a twisted view, the two moons would be winking at them. The footsteps continued.

After a year of serving a power hungry war maniac, Adrasteia had finally broke away. For days she had wandered aimlessly through towns, terrorizing the townspeople. If she had a voice of her own, she would cry and explain that she meant no harm, that she was only looking for a place to stay. However she could say none of that, the most she could get out was a commanding wait, rasped out as if it was spoken by two people. So she wandered.

It took two weeks for her to reach the Lunar Forest and then from there, half a day to reach the inn. She hovered a few inches off the ground, floating in lazy circles around the buildings exterior before entering. Adrasteia landed softly on the floor and looked around slowly as though she was lost. Which in a way, she was. At the moment she was not a slave to someone else's will, which meant she had no sense of direction, no clue as to what action to take next.

Though somewhere in the dark recesses of her mind, her past self cried out that this was a safe place, somewhere she could stay forever, if she was allowed. But present Adrasteia could not perceive this, and had arrived here on what she assumed was merely instinct.

Annabelle watched as her boss cleaned glasses in silence, concerned, and yet at the same time, not. This has been a regular occurrence for some time now, as we haven't had many customers, which she was sure Yukito didn't like at all. He adored his vistors, she could feel it. This inn was his life, and all the workers here knew that. However, she hasn't spoke to him much lately. Although she loves conversation as much as the next person, for some reason, something been on her mind lately, but she didn't know what. Yukito started wandering around the bar, before leaving the main entrance, looking around the inn. He hadn't noticed her in the corner of the room, observing as he cleaned the glasses. "He must be really deep in thought if he didn't notice me...hes normally really aware of his surroundings.." she thought to herself

It was at this point someone came into the inn, a girl. She didn't notice Annabelle, and was looking around. Its almost seems like doesn't know where she is.

And since Yukito wasn't here, it was her duty to provide care for her the guests. So putting on a smile, she walked up to the girl, before stopping in front of her and bowing. "Hello. Welcome to the Lunar Lotus Inn. May I be of assistance?"

A lake full of beautiful flowers. Emma hummed at the thought. She skipped towards the lake, ecstatic, wanting to see the flowers. A quick blink, and she was by the edge of the lake. Still waters, smooth as glass, stretched out before her, unblemished by any interruption. The moon shone, seen twofold. Emma wilted, disappointed by the lack of lotus flowers, but she quickly regained her excitement. She could wait. It couldn't be long before the flowers bloomed. She needed to stop for food and drink, anyway. Orienting herself to where she thought the Lunar Lotus Inn rested, she set off at an unhurried pace. No rush. She would get there when she needed to.

Unaware of the employees that had paid actual attention towards Yukito who had left the bar unattended, the dark haired male had continued on his way down the marbled path of the lobby until he had ended up coming across a pair of staircase that lead upstairs. Tilting his head to the thought of heading upstairs, the young male would soon give a simple shrug of his shoulders before he would progress his way immediately up the staircase. The thought of what he was planning on doing was to go to the back of the inn and just begin doing his usual training of his martial arts there. Since there was no one that had entered the building at the moment, there was little to nothing to do since the employees were doing their usual duties around the place as it was.

It would be only a matter of moments as the dark haired male would reach the top floor that the sound of a pair of small footsteps would be rushing quickly towards him. Curious as to where the sound had been approaching from, Yukito had known well enough as to what was approaching him. Immediately, he would come to a halt from where he stood simply to prepare himself for the sudden jumping of a small creature. Just as he stood there, expecting what he had been sure to come rushing towards him; a small white and purple eyed fox creature rushed down the hall before jumping straight up into the arms of the male. As Yukito held onto the small creature, he would simply let a low chuckle leave his lips as he rubbed at it's stomach with the palm of one of his hands while the other kept a firm grasp upon it's back to keep it up in his embrace.
"Hello there my little Yuuki. What're you up to?" As he spoke to the small creature, it would simply nuzzle itself close to the male's chest before actually deciding to speak up. "There ish someone downstairs that just came through the doors!~" As the small creature spoke, the male's own crimson hues quickly widened in shock as he lowered his small creature to the ground and rushed straight back to the front entrance of the inn itself.

The small creature named as Yuuki simply tilted his head as he immediately chased after his larger companion down the stairs, simply to stand at a large distance to watch as to how the being that had stepped through the doorway was nothing more than younger looking female who wore a dark dress. She stood there right before another employee that had actually worked for the inn named as Annabelle; a maid of the place itself. Watching as Yukito had stepped up to greet the newcomer herself, the small white fox-like creature would simply lower himself down upon the marbled flooring of the hall as it rested it's chin upon the front two paws of it's front legs. All the while, it's nine tails had rested surrounding itself in a comfortable position.

Yukito on the other hand had now approached both Annabelle as well as the new younger looking female that had approached the interior of the building itself. Watching her for a mere moment, the dark haired male would place his right arm over his abdomen before bending to a respectful bow towards the female. Even though she had looked most likely younger than himself, Yukito had always given his respectful bows towards everyone new he had ever met before; this included humans. "Hello, and welcome to The Lunar Lotus Inn. My name is Yukito Himaru. May I or Miss Annabelle here be of any assistance to you whatsoever?" As he spoke in his usual kind of near silent whispered tone of voice, he had shifted his own weight to one side as he slipped a single hand into his pocket while the other remained relaxed at his side while he awaited a response.

The entire time he stood before this young female, his senses were nearly going wild as the sensation of a few nearby auras could be easily noticed to the dark haired male. Obviously enough, he hadn't brought too much attention to this since there were always mythical creatures and other beings that had wandered the Lunar Forest itself. Whether they had decided to actually enter the inn or not was their own decision. Although whenever the energy was strong enough and there were many, Yukito had always held high hopes that he would be able to meet and greet new customers.

Opening the door Rehiem scanned the room. His two Puppets towering over him in black robes. He walked slowly to the desk. Scanning people for their souls so that their body can be his up coming project. Taking alittle more time looking in the lobby he looked slightly at the bar seeing a dark haired male but didn't take much notice in him. As he got his room key Rehiem dropped a small sack of coin on the counter and set towards his room. Walking into Annabelle's direction he spoke. "Why hello do you work here" He said in his calm and high class voice.

She felt rather than saw the girl approach her. Adrasteia was to busy analyzing her surroundings to properly take in the other life forms in the room with her. She didn't respond to the girl and only actually made eye contact when she was done looking around. She had been commanded by her last master to never speak unless she was asked to, and because of her damaged mind, she was still acting on that order and would be until it was rescinded.

When a man, who had not been there before descended the stairs, she immediately tensed up and started to raise her palms towards him, as if initiating an attack. However when he bowed and repeated, with the same nuances, what the girl had said, Adrasteia relaxed and lowered her palm. But, she still could not speak and although she was clearly registering what they were saying, she could not break pattern......perhaps she could though. It was beginning to occur to her that she was no longer in the presence of the army and thus the orders were possibly not withstanding.

She twitched aggressively for a moment, drew her knees to her chest and hovered there before opening her mouth. out came the gravelly resonance of two voices; her own and the void's.

"I do not require immediate assistance, I wish to rest here." Her voice had frightened many, including entire garrisons, but if observed closely enough, one could tell that she was afraid.

Hearing a ungodly voice Reheim turned to see where the voice came from. Looking around the lobby it had peaked his interest always a man for new and exotic souls and people he searched until he saw a girl with her knees on her chest. "Excuse me ma'am but can you speak again for me" He asked bending down to one knee and looking into her eyes.

Chazel waited in the water, silently observing the noises. The footsteps grew closer, he could tell, when suddenly they stopped. A few seconds later, the sounds continued. Not in the same enthusiastic tone before, but in a duller, more dead pattern. Chazel floated through the water closer to the lake's edge, on the path the footsteps were coming from. The siren listened carefully for the footsteps to fade before he got out of the water, but in doing so he heard something else. He heard the hum of a young girl. Intrigued about why a small child was in this dark forest so late at night, he waited for the humming and the footsteps to fade into the sound of nothingness before getting out of the water to purse her. Quietly, Chazel followed down the same path he heard the sound from, unknowingly towards the Lunar Lotus Inn.

Hearing her voice, Annabelle nearly gasped, but held it in, knowing that would be highly unformal. This girl was extremely off center, almost frightening in a way. But she had to fight that feeling. All customers must be accepted, human or non human. That was a moral of her own as well, for both sides aren't essentially bad, just misunderstood. As is everything in life. So she smiled gently, pushing off her feelings of unease before speaking again. "We have a few rooms available. I'll go and grab a key for you."

Walking to the cork board on the wall behind the bar counter, she grabbed a room key, before walking back and handing it too her. It's nice that we finally have customers coming in..

Excuse me miss but do you know this one? Rehiem asked annabelle pointing at the Grimdark.

Hearing the mans query, her face burned up a little. It was a strange question, and it made her worried. "I'm afraid not sir. Why do you ask?"

"Well I can say that this on is very special" Rehiem said smiling "Well I see you work here" he said raising his eyebrow.

Yukito Himura

A53M3vN.png

As the young dark haired male had stood before the young female that was considered to be a new customer to the whole inn. He had kept a warm smile across his lips the entire time as he did his absolute best to show respect towards her but as well as kindness to state that if she was human or not, she would be clearly welcome here. The last thing Yukito had ended up expecting was the instant that the female had ended up pulling her own knees up towards her chest before hovering in midair before him. The sight of this giving away the plain and obvious fact that she was not human; and just listening to her voice it was almost clear enough to the young male that this woman was afraid. The once kind and welcoming smile that had been upon his lips had immediately faded only to leave concern in it's wake as he immediately watched as to how one of the maids of the inn; named as Annabelle had went off to grab a key for the same female before them.

Following her was another male; obvious from the unfamiliar look upon his face; the male was another new customer to the whole inn itself as well. Simply turning his head over his shoulder to watch as Annabelle had progressed herself to grab the key behind the bar counter along with beginning to speak with the other male; Yukito had returned his attention upon the hovering female before him before he would slowly reach out a single arm to place it gently upon the shoulder of the female. Tilting his head slightly to one side as he struggled to try to get some sort of eye-contact with her; thoughts of how there had been even children that had visited the inn before who were lost and had no family with them whatsoever. They were frightened of the strange surroundings and were even moreso afraid due to them being in an unknown place with a bunch of unknown people. Whenever it came to that sort of situation, Yukito had always did his best to give the frightened ones most of his attention to help them through their situation.
"If you wish to rest here...if you do not have the currency to pay for it. You may stay here for free as long as you need to." As the dark haired male spoke, he had waved a single arm towards the staircase to catch the attention of the small nine-tailed fox creature to rush over and immediately stand before the hovering female.

Patting the top of the head of Yuuki's small frame, the small creature simply gave a low purring noise towards the hand of his companion petting him while his large violet hues stayed focused upon the young hovering girl before the two of them. This had not been the first time he had allowed guests to come to the inn and actually live for free and it was sure not going to be the last time he was going to need to do so. Yukito had never thought of building the inn as a way to make money, but rather as a way to keep those who were needing rest or safety a place to stay and feel at home. Money was never much of concern to him as it was something he was able to simply work around in any sort of way he could.

"Would you like a drink..or something to eat..?" Stating yet another question, he would stay standing before the female, if she had wished to simply go to her room; she was more then welcome to do so as well, however if he could've helped in anyway; he was sure as hell going to try something.

While he had assisted this young girl, he had hoped that Annabelle and the rest of the employees of the inn could possibly help with any other new guests and customers that might enter the building that would require help. Quite obviously, whenever he could finish helping this girl; he would immediately go off and help out and welcome everyone else he could before heading off to go actually cook up a feast for the new guests and such. While he stood there though, the auras and energies that Yukito had felt from the outside of the building earlier were getting closer and stronger by the second. There was no doubt about it now, there were going to be plenty of new customers today.

As Emma walked towards the inn, her thoughts were occupied with her disappointment at not being able to catch the lotus flowers in bloom. The grass underneath her feet swished with every step, and the leaves above her rustled, as if alive. She had the uncanny feeling as if there was more than meets the eye to the forest around her, but shrugged the feeling off. Too bad, she thought. I really wanted to see those flowers.

Over the hill, the Lunar Lotus Inn started to come into view. The small-seeming inn looked homely, comforting with its welcoming visage. As Emma approached its entrance, she was hit with a sudden realization. She was too short to open the door. She stood there, the impassable portal looming over her, she ran scenarios through her mind. First, she tried to increase her height by going onto the tips of her toes, but came to the conclusion that this technique would not work, for to gain height, she had to sacrifice leverage. Emma paused, unmoving, as dread mounted in her heart. What if she couldn't get in? What if she was stuck there, outside the inn for the rest of eternity? Her panic only grew as she pictured her skeleton, still in that position, in front of the inn's door. She collapsed to her knees, tears welling at the corners of her eyes. The fact that she could knock on the door never occurred to her, and so there she remained, despairing at her powerlessness.

This forests air, was different. Not in the way of humidity or consistancy but as if it had its own vibe to it, I have never felt anything like it before. I heard of the inn by word of mouth, thankfully directions were given, if not thrown at, most people freak out over the chill air I produce, an old habit but none-the-less a rather unpleasant one for the common man. My horns and ears as well often gave the populace a raised eyebrow, but I paid them no mind. I was flowing with the wind towards my destination at this point however, nearing the inn. I was initially drawn here because I hoped there would be a job opening, preferably one involving security. As I neared the entrance I silently hoped my intuition was correct.

Pacing silently down the forest path, I listened intently for the sound of footsteps. Chazel did not want to catch up to whoever he was stalking in the night, for he was no good in a fight and had no will to talk to strangers. The scenario where the girl stopped, however, had not occurred to him. He heard the tears fall from Emma's face, but the sound blended in with the cricket's constant song. As he came to a clearing in the woods, he clearly saw the inn and the girl. Against his introverted nature, Chazel felt compelled to approach the girl.

As the man slowly came closer to the girl, he remained unnoticed. He looked back towards his lake with one last thought before his decision was final. Should he really talk to this girl, or should he just go home and wait for his life to pass? Without a moment's hesitation, he spoke. "Hey, person . . . Wh- What's wrong?"

As I neared the door I noticed two people, a young girl who could be no younger than 6, and a siren, who seemed hesitant on talking to the young girl. Not wanting to get in the way I patiently flowed through the winds not wanting to be seen. I wasn't good with meeting new people, I really only do so when ï need to, it'd be best to wait for the door to open and slip inside.

The flow of tears cascading down Emma's face slowed, as she heard an inquiry from behind her. She turned, and saw the siren. Any fear she might have reacted with was drowned by the roiling emotions she already felt at the moment. Emma gathered her wits, and, with no small amount of embarrassment, spoke. "I can't get the door open," she said. Her voice was quiet, barely audible, but her meaning was clear.

Despite the quiet nature of her miserable excuse for a response, Chazel could easily pick up what she was saying. Sirens are mostly known for their beautiful music, but they also have an acute sense of sound. With his newfound information, Chazel opened the door to the inn and saw a unique sight. There was a man with no real way to describe him. He just looked fake, in a way. Then, behind him stood, or more accurately floated, a short girl with skin darker than the night sky above him and hair that was whiter than the moon that watched. There is no reason for me to go in there Chazel thought, but his curiosity was unsatisfied. He looked down, seeing the chubby green-haired girl brush away another tear. An excuse was in order, so he decided that the girl in front of him would get slaughtered from this strange assortment of guests. Chazel had to go inside; the people inside stood there like a shelf of goodies in a bakery, each with a more interesting flavor inside than the next. So with a simple gesture, the man waved his arm signaling the little girl to walk on in.

As I floated around I noticed the siren opening the door for the young girl, now was my chance! I swiftly flew through the door just as it was closed. I quickly hid in a darker corner of the lobby, silently looking for the inns manager. By the looks of it however there was lots of people in here though. The only one that seemed to be working here was what looked to be a maid, but she looked too busy to be bothered. I decided to wait around, to see if anybody that looked like they were in charge showed up. I sunk myself further into the shadows.

After a moment of hesitation, Emma braced her hands on the floor and stood up. She peeked around the siren, and caught a glimpse of an unusual sight. Crowded near the entrance of the room, a grand assortment of strange individuals partook in a slightly awkward exchange. A breeze swept into the room from behind her, and she hesitated. Still carefully taking in the situation in front of her, Emma stepped past the doorway, and entered the Lunar Lotus Inn.

Adrasteia continued to float silently, believing that disregarding orders once was enough. Again she began to scan the room but this time for exits. She rarely entered a building without knowing a way out first but she had been so overwhelmed by the kindness. It was not something she experienced often and her old consciousness was practically screaming to be let out. However, because it was her mind, no one could really hear her cries and she went unnoticed.

When a hand was placed on her shoulder, Adrasteia's eyes whipped forward and stared straight at the owner of the inn and his small furry friend. Her blank eyes blinked slowly, and narrowed after a few seconds. After another moment she straightness out her legs and put her feet down on the ground. Then she kneeled and reached towards the small fox.

"May I pet it?" She whispered, completely disregarding the previous questions. It wasn't as if she was trying to be rude, she just happened to not need food or drink to gain nutrients. She kept her palms extended but made no move to actually touch the small creature, and she blinked up at the man waiting for an answer. She didn't want to do anything to make him angry.
