We are going to trust the giant flying sharks?
Heavena Angeia also known as HAA is a country that sits up in the clouds hidden from human eye, where Angli live and originate from. The higher up you live in the towers, the higher up in society you are. Most local building are at lower levels like the post office. Though it is in the same tower as a library, the library would be higher up due to it possessing knowledge.
Angli are winged beings who appear to look a lot like humans. Their wings are white, large, and feathery though if you undergo training for the Council they gain yellow undertone and if you are apart of the Healia you gain speckles of yellow dots. These people are much like their angel counterparts but there is a deep dislike for them, Angli see them as the drunk aunt at the party. Angli are the better version of angels with set morals and beliefs who are the bringers of peace on earth. They tend to appear right after wars and help rebuild these countries till they are back to functioning then disappear again.
Magic: Almost all Angli possess a sort of magic that was given to them by the goddess. All pertain to light or earth like things. Though they donβt have the same power, they can have variants of one. Like someone being able to cause rain showers and someone else being able to summon small streams. Some rarer ones are able to bend light to form shapes or heal.
Life and Death: The Angli prepare the dead to return back to Lys who in returns places them in the sky as stars. Their light is said to not run out yet so they still shine, with all their beauty and helping guide people home. During life the more that appeases the goddess, the brighter they are said to shine after death. If you do have a deep connection with her and become a favorite of hers she can cheat rules and help you live longer or after death keep you to herself and raise you again. Angli do believe in reincarnation of the body but the soul goes free to the sky.
If you cheat the goddess or donβt follow the rules you get burned to crisp by the goddess.
Communication: Since speaking is forbidden due to it being believed it is dangerous and lure people in. They have learned to adapt, speaking sign language. Mainly taking the form of ASL and all Angli are fluent in it along with other languages that they can listen, read, and write but not speak. Mainly do this to understand others when on Earth.
Religion: The religion, Artisans de paix (Which translates to peacemakers in French) worships one goddess named Lys. It is said that Lys has watched over the earth sice the beginning of time, helping guide those who appeared on a righteous path though as time went on and more civilizations popped up, she witnessed the world scum to war and bloodshed. Growing tired of these beings not listening to her, she started crafting the Angli into existence. Meant to be the ideal species that brought peace, hoping to show the brutes how to not be brutish anymore. She spent years shaping the towers that hovered on clouds in the sky, wanting to give her creations a perfect home made of a thick brick like material and clouds. The towers were skillfully hidden from human eye. Then she got to work making the beings. She plucked rays of the sun hoping to give them the brightness they needed to succeed and all around happiness, chips of the moon for their beauty, clouds to shape their wings and add flight, water to add tranquility, and earth to add their carefulness.
While they do not worship daily, they tend to hold bigger services and offerings to the goddess on the third and sixth day of the week. Though with the occasional stopping by throughout the rest of the week. On the third and sixth day they don white clothing to celebrate their purity.
Tree of Life: The Tree of Life is the only living tree given to them by the goddess, that holds the deepest connection with her. There you are able to connect with her better and speak to her if gone through the ritual to summon her. The tree has a twisted trunk that runs rather high up. During the spring clusters of red fading to yellow heart flowers bloom. Giving one to someone is meant to show them that you have faith in them and you are loyal, meant as either a platonic or romantic gesture.
Feast of the New Sunrise: A celebration where Angli from all across HAA get together and hold a banquet within the Great Meeting Hall. Their celebration for the New Year that they call the rebirth of the sun. They toast in the honor of this and eat sweet food or anything that is close to the color of the sun.
Night of Luminescence: Held in the Great Meeting Hall one night every year and is to celebrate their first country they helped rebuild and restore after war. Turned off lights are strung around the room to resemble all the lives lost in that war from both sides of it. Everyone each lights one to signify they will not be forgotten
Celebration of the Stars: This is currently unknown but having to do with shooting stars.
Festival of the Goddess: A three day celebration where they celebrate Lys for bringing them into existence. Also known as the day of the first Angli ever made. Day one they spend making food and drinks and spending time with family. Day two they bring the food to the Great Meeting Hall and eat together as a community, donning traditional white flowy clothes and dancing. Day three they all gather around the Tree of Life and break off a small branch from it, kissing it then setting it at the base of the tree. Meant to send their blessing to the goddess as it connects them with her.
Fate of Voices: The Fate of Voices is an event where the council and a selected few go to the Baths of Light. The new council members get sunk into the water (which is said to hold a connection to Lys), if their wings change to add the yellow undertone it means the goddess has spoke. They are then accepted onto the Council and a feast is held in their honor along with a party.
A council ran by 100 Angli. A group of anyone with the rarest powers above the age of 18 is elected to undergo training to become part of the council. They go through a three-year training where the oldest members of the council teach them everything they know. They then take a series of difficult tests, they can only take it once. So depending on their score they attend the Fate of Voices and the goddess decides if they are worthy. Their wings change to add yellow undertones to signify this.
Healia: UNSURE YET! Meant to be the healers of HAA and are some of the most respected people, almost as much as the ones on the council. They also undergo hard training but can only join if they have the gift of healing.
The Rules of Angli is the most sacred document to Angli which holds rules set into place by Lys to insure they are the most peaceful species of all.
These Rules consist of:
-You shall not take any life as if it belongs to you.
-You shall strife for a life in harmony with all.
