Grey Kitsune

Anime's Best Boy
566498

Long ago there existed a land in the heavens, a sanctuary for the last remaining humans left over from the great war between Demise and the Goddess Hylia. To recover from her injuries, the Goddess returned to her people, reborn into the world as , the Goddess-made-mortal and her destined hero of the sky returned to the surface to seal away Demise. In the process of sealing away Demise, decendants of the Spirit of the Hero and Hylia's would once again be forced to face the Demon King once again.

It has been centuries since the people under the watch of the Goddess Hylia, now known as Hylians, returned to The Surface. Together they began building a new civilization at the heart of the land known as the realm of Hyrule. Many citizens build their homes around the still expanding castle that houses the royal family, those whose carry the blood of the returned Goddess. Then there are those who choose to ventured beyond the safety of the castle town's fortified walls into the wilds of Hyrule to explore its wondrous perils, discover what treasures civilizations long ago left in their wake, and trade with the denizens of the land that had not taken to the sky.

Once a year, the people of the Hyrule settlement gather to pray to the Goddesses of Creation and the Goddess Hylia in hopes of continuing into another prosperous year. To celebrate, the Hylians bring offerings to the royal family, who in turn bless their people. Those who've shown great promise have even been known to develop magical prowess while others have shown more physical enhancement. Truly a testament to the power of those with the blood of the Goddess Hylia.

The festivities held in the castle town draw not only Hylians, but the denizen races who've lived on the surface much longer. The influx of guests bring many new trade opportunities, though the Hylians and their visitors are still wary of the other party, the cultures of each still new and exotic. Still, Hyrule Castle and its town have been designated a zone of Law, thus any disputes will be solved peacfully, at least while the Royal Guard are about.

It may seem business as usual for the most part, but this years festivities have been seeing set backs as monster sightings have been becoming more numerous around the wilds surrounding Hyrule, though confrontations have been minimal thanks to the ever vigilant Royal Guard.

Time of Day: Afternoon Weather: Clear Skies Moon Phase: 3rd Qtr

It is the eve before the Goddess' Day, the spirit of festivities can be seen from the banners hanging from the Hyrule Castle all the way to the little homes of farmers in the hills surrounding the kingdom. Stalls of all sorts have been set up along the main road of the castle town, vendors ready to tend to incoming customers with all sorts of eye catching services.

Cooks and chefs have various foodstuffs prepared, many promoting a new popular dish: Princess Parfait. Said to be the favored treat of the princess thanks to its sweet cream and fresh fruits, it's sure to be a hit!

But one can't have a Princess Parfait without first getting a charm from the temple monastery's donation stand. Small bangles and rings made by the priestesses have been said to be blessed for good health, while wallets and coins for fortune are being offered by priests; the proceeds offered go to building the temple.

Entertaining games that challenge wit, skill, and strength, and others that offer some miscellaneous activities. Even a contest has been in the works to promote good relations with the people.

The influx of so many from around the land has caused the inn owners to have to turn away people, though visitors need not worry. Several tents have been provided by the Hylian Royal Guard to shelter the visitors in the meantime, a few guards stationed nearby for some ease of mind. Caravans settled near the town have been allowed to set camp as well.

With all the excitement going on, it's not strange for a few things to be out of place. Namely some people have claimed that they've been robbed. Currently claimed are a bottle of prized milk, a collapsing telescope, and a recruit's training sword. Coincidentally, a cloaked figure has been seen sneaking around the stall at the time of their disappearance...

Yusaria
(Moon Phase: Last Quarter Unseen)
Yusaria gasped as she saw the huge gathering of people on the other side of a hill she was climbing. She'd never seen so many in one place before! They seemed to be gathered outside of a stone wall, which they were filing in and out of. Judging by what she heard from the people she'd met on her travels, she figured that must be Castle Town. Great, she made it!

She took a few moments to admire it from a distance. She could see the roofs of buildings just over the wall, but she couldn't see anything that was going on inside. Still, it was an impressive sight anyway, as she could never even imagine a construction like that herself. She was used to the simple camps and tents made by other Monsters, if they weren't occupying ruins or some such abandoned place.

After taking some time to take in the sight of the city, she slid down the other side of the hill and started running towards the town's gate, hoping to see the inside. This was exciting! She could see what the Hylians actually lived like, instead of just hearing it all the time! She couldn't wait.

Osanju
Within a horse drawn wagon a fairy hid between bundles of hay and restless Hylians. Each bump the cart hit sent a rough jolt through Osanju’s tiny body that shook her to the core. However she couldn’t voice her complaints. The ride was free and it would take much less time getting there than if the pixie decided to fly there by herself. Osanju and the other people inside were all heading to the Goddess’ Day celebration being held in Hyrule’s sparkling capital, Castle Town. Poking her head out from her makeshift hiding place, Osanju stared out in front of her and finally got sight of the castle. It was an absolutely breathtaking sight that she couldn’t compare to anything else her eyes had witnessed beforehand. Each tower stood hundreds of feet over any other building and dazzled with decorations. Osanju couldn’t wait to finally see it up close.

With a sudden stop her ride had finally concluded. Hurriedly, the fairy snuck out before anyone could notice her and flew her way towards the gates. Luckily Osanju could skip the long lines and flew high above so she could easily go over the walls and enter the town. Hundreds of Hylians, Gorons, Zoras, and other races could be seen inside the towns walls. Osanju had heard of the others races from her friends but it was the first time she had actually seen a species that wasn’t strictly humanoid in appearance. She was intrigued to say the least.

Landing on a building’s roof Osanju looked over the crowds to search for something that might peak her interest. There were stalls selling confections, games for small children, and even sparkling jewelry being sold. Eventually her eye were attracted to a place that was selling what appeared to be cream a fruit elegantly mixed together. Using her archaic knowledge of written Hylian she could make out the word Princess but the word Parfait was too complicated for the little fairy. She decided to take a closer look at what exactly they were selling.

Erith Rossank

Festivals, by means of their very nature, foster an environment of excitement and joy. For vendors the traffic is a dream, with lots of passer-bys window shopping to their hearts' content. For children the games and toys to be won are nearly endless. For Hylians like Erith, who toiled in the dirt and sun each day, it was a well-deserved break and a time to bask in the comfort of a community. Groups chattered amongst themselves, discussion where to visit next or how fun the last stop had been. There was much talk of contests and gambles. Erith preferred to live frugally, and didn't care to thrust herself into any needless challenges, but enjoyed the spirited energy that pervaded the air. She hummed to herself, a simple tune most Hylians living around Castle Town had heard at least once in their lives, as it was a common lullaby in the area.

Although she walked alone, she didn't at all mind her lack of company, nor did she feel awkward being one of the few attending without friends. The opportunity to look about and take in the scenery was more than enough to satiate her needs. Normally, without anything to occupy her hands with she would feel a bit fidgety, but she carried a wicker basket in the crook of her arm filled with the figures she had carved, and mindlessly thumbing the handle provided her with enough stimulation that she hardly noticed the lack of activity. With her good eye, she scanned the crowd for any subject of interest. With such a large population about there was bound to be some sort of unusual occurrence.

🍎 Apfel 🍎

Castle Town's streets bustled with all sorts of activity and excitement, the high volume of people that entered into the city to see the sights and take in the atmosphere of the celebration had made getting around the main streets a hassle. Traveling on foot in the streets was manageable, though one still had to watch out for the occasional hoof of a soldier on horseback or the foot of a lumbering Goron. Where on a normal day, Apfel would be quickly along his way, he now had to shuffle about and weave around clusters of gawkers and loiterers.

"What luck to have been blessed with such a fortune." Apfel cackled quietly to himself as he felt his once empty wallet bounce against his hip. He had several valuable gems in the leather pouch, but most of it had been put away into the treasury. All of the young chemist's medicinal stockpile had been in one day thanks to the surge of visitors. Travelers were loose with their money, or maybe it was the mystical allure of his wares. The special tiny bottles he used were stamped with his seal. Cork stoppers adorned with a polished colored stones in them noted the contents were concentrated; he made sure to hike up the price for such detail and convenience.

Apfel's grin fell apart when he found himself walking through a wall of scents that hit him in the stomach. He had made sure to not give into the temptations of spending his earnings, but his mouth watered at the sweet and savory smells, hunger setting in. He hated to admit it, but even the girly looking Princess Parfait that he'd seen advertised was something he was considering.

"Grumble grumble." He stood by a stand that had been preparing some of the dessert and leered at the yummy looking layered treat. After he put up his hood, he fished into his wallet, he plucked out a couple red gems put in an order.
