Personality:
Kuro is extremely clever, but he's also extremely disorganized and scatter-brained, as well as he may be smart, but he's still a teenage sadist and will often use his smarts to play cruel tricks on others. just because he can. he isn't the type to help others for no reason, as he is extremely quiet and reserved himself, but will do so if he has an extra motive and can use them for something. Kuro isn't the type to respect and trust others because they have 'authority' or things like that, he will only do so if they prove it to him. he is fairly creative, though this often leads him to make no sense with strange ideas he came up with out of nowhere. he is exceedingly loyal and will do anything to protect someone who manages to earn both his respect and friendship. he is often mistaken as being apathetic for he doesn't show emotions to others aside from the people he lets be his friends, though he often tries his best to keep away from others as he dislikes them in general and is the quiet type lest he hasn't taken his medicine, then he turns into the type of person who goes out of their way to hurt others and to put them through harm.

Relationships:
Mother, Ayano Kenji- Status- dead, not zombified however as she died in Japan a while before the virus. Kuro doesn't really remember her as she died when he was 3 years old.
Father, Haruka Kaname- Status- Zombie, dead, Kuro had a very rocky relationship with him and gladly blew his head in when Haruka became a zombie.
Younger Sister, Shiro Megumi Kaname- Status- Currently Alive, Kuro and Shiro are extremely close, Shiro having been Kuro's only friend for quite a while, they are practically inseparable. Kuro's also very over-protective of his little sis and hasn't told her about their dad's death yet.
Brief description of life before apocalypse:
Kuro lived a fairly decent life, his mom died a year after Shiro was born. he was too young to really remember her much though, so it didn't really affect him much. when he was around 4 his dad got a job offer to move to Washington for a promotion, his dad accepted and they moved. when Kuro reached the age of 11, he began having signs of Schizophrenia , though his dad wasn't very concerned as he knew his side of the family had perfect mental health, he had no idea his wife's side had a very long history of mental health issues. when Shiro began to be overly hyper a year later, their dad finally decided to get their mental health evaluations done. turns out Shiro was just a bit over-excitable otherwise she was fine, but Kuro...the psychiatrist warned his dad to keep an eye on him and to take him back if he showed any more warning signs. he was officially diagnosed with Schizophrenia when he was 14, after an incident where he pulled a knife on a stranger on the streets and had to be sedated by police. this is when his dad decided to medicate him to extreme degrees. since then, he's lived somewhat normally, he still sometimes hears things like whispers that don't exist and sees shadows where they aren't, but it's far better since he got his medication.

Personality:
Shiro is a very light-spirited and cheery girl. she always does her best to make sure others are happy and is one to help without reason. she is extremely social, often greeting random strangers on impulse. she also isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, as she often neglects her studies in favor of spending time with her friends. Shiro was often the most popular girl in school due to her bright and uplifting attitude to everything. however, she often takes care of others to the point of forgetting to take care of herself and will idolize everyone around her. she's extremely creative and often is at her best at last minute thinking. she gives out her trust very easily and she is extremely gullible and naive.

Shiro lived an average life, she never knew her mom as she'd died when she was young and her dad was the best in her opinion. when she was 2 her dad got a job offer and moved to Washington D.C. taking her and Kuro along with him. as a child Shiro was often spending time with her older brother to try and comfort him as she was his only confident and often pushed him to find some friends. while she excelled in that area, he only seemed to flunk out big time. she was the most popular kid on the playground and everyone around her liked her cheery and bright attitude, it also earned her dad's favoritism. when she was 10 her dad got worried about her and took her and her brother to see a psychiatrist for her over-excitable behavior and her slipping grades. it turned out she was fine, but her brother wasn't. she started paying a lot more attention to him since then and worried about him often until the incident 2 years later where he pulled a knife, she didn't even know he had one on him, to a stranger who looked at her funny while they were walking on the street together, where he had to be sedated. he was officially diagnosed the next day to having Schizophrenia to which Shiro became hell-bent on understanding so she could help her dear brother, even though her dad told her not to worry as he'd been heavily medicated ever since. this is when she picked up an interest in both psychology and general medicine and has been studying the subjects ever since.
