Sentient Tree
What, never seen a sentient, magical tree before?
-THE IMPURITY-
-STORY-
The world was unprepared. Many books, games, movies, works of fiction, have many topics. The concept of zombies were one of them. They are described to be dead humans who come back to life in the result of some sort of curse, disease or mutation, with a great hunger for Human flesh. For so long the idea of a zombie apocalypse was considered impossible and silly by the majority of society. But on September 4th, it was no longer fiction.
On that day there was an outbreak of an unnamed, new virus in the US. It would spread through contact with body fluids, bites, deep scratches and prolonged physical contact. Symptoms include headaches, aggression and mental impairment. After 2-3 hours, infected will experience vomiting and nausea. Death will occur in about 30 minutes at this stage. Then, in as little as 5 minutes, resurrection.
The virus spread around the whole country, even making its way to countries overseas, In just 20 days. The dead, infected, walkers, impure, or 'zombies' if you would rather call them, are unintelligent and slow, but are very dangerous in numbers and can only be killed if the brain is destroyed. There are also Runners, rarer forms of the dead which are agile enough to run and even climb. The dead will hunt down any Humans and sometimes even small animals it can find and eat them, to provide nutrients for the virus.
The story takes place in New York City, September 24th. 20 days after the outbreak. 70% of the population is infected. That remaining 30% will either survive until help comes (assuming there will be help), or die.
