    Jasper is a serious man, after all, he is in a serious line of work. Studious and careful, he is tightly focused when he is on the job. If you could get him out into the countryside and away from work, the relaxed Jasper bears little resemblance to work Jasper. Still quiet, but capable of having a good time, and far more sociable than his work persona.     Jasper's skill in magic is quite high, but his actual power is not. As a result, he spends much of his free time making Trinkets. These are carved disks of wood carrying runic enchantments that he can activate, using his personal power to call on the greater stored power. Magical alarms, trackers, and even flash bangs are in his arsenal, though each takes him days, or even weeks to make and seconds to expend. He has two long term Trinkets, a pendant that he can use as a magic detector, and pair of glasses that he has enchanted to give him thermal vision. Both recharge from his personal power as long as they are in his posession, and each can be used for around 10 minutes before their power is depleted.     The product of a human and a sorcerer, Jasper is no stranger to the Supernatural, nor to the high price it can exact from those who try to police it.

    Jasper was born in South Carolina to Max Tiegs and his wife Sarah. This, in and of itself, was unremarkable, but the fact that his father was an accomplished Hunter, and his mother was a witch who often assisted his father on his missions, made Jasper's life interesting. Early on, his mother determined that her son was a sorcerer, though not a very powerful one. As a result, she and his father decided that Jasper should be brought up as though he were human, relying on the skills his father could teach him. Not teaching him never was an option, since both his parents were deep into the supernatural world. So, from an early age, Jasper was taught about the things that go bump in the night, and how to deal with them. Since most supernaturals had significantly better reflexes and strength, Jasper's father made certain that the young man's training involved Aikido, even going so far as to call in favors with some of his were and vampire friends to help Jasper understand what he was going to be facing. Meanwhile, Jasper's mother was teaching him everything she could about making the most of his limited magic, mostly in ways to disguise its existence. The greatest thing she taught him was the making of trinkets that could be empowered over long periods of time, and then release their stored power in a single burst. Jasper became an expert in their manufacture, though it took him far longer than his mother to make one. Just after he turned 16, Jasper's parents began to include him in their less dangerous hunts, teaching him the patience required to watch, sometimes for days, or even weeks at time for a sign of his quarry. As Jasper's skills improved, he began to help in more active ways, acting as an advanced scout, covering avenues of escape, and acting as an active protector of his mother as she worked one enchantment or another to assist his father. Things were progressing smoothly, until just after Jasper's 22nd birthday, when he and his father were involved on what should have been a routine Fae hunt. Reports of a Fae getting close enough to a small sub-development to endager the humans who lived there had caught Max's attention, and he and Jasper set out to determine if there was any truth to the rumor. They discovered evidence of Fae presence, but months old. What they hadn't expected to find was an entire sub-division full of Ghouls. Max and Jasper managed to fight their way out of the gated sub-development and burn it to the ground, though the hunt wound up costing Max his left leg below the knee. Forced to retire to non-active status, Max and Sarah passed the family tradition of hunting to Jasper's hands, along with a wakizashi of Blessed metal that Max's father had presented him with to mark his first solo hunt. Jasper has been masquerading as a non-powered human hunter for the last two years, gaining the reputation of negotiating before resorting to violence, but willing to take action when necessary.

    It had seemed like a joke. A letter, complete with an old style seal, arriving at his bungalow from out of nowhere. Only the crew of the Sirens Fancy knew who, and more importantly where he was. Ryan had found it sitting on a chair when he returned from his final lesson with Ye-Lin.
    
    
    
    
    "No more can I teach you, " the old man had said, shaking his head. "This island grows too small for you I think. Take these as a symbol of your mastery of all I could teach you. "
    
    
    
    
    Ryan had managed to stammer out his thanks as his former teacher presented him with a pair of collapsible batons, perfectly suited to his fighting style, then made his way home in a daze. The letter had sitting there, no postage, no return address, not even his address. He had read and reread it several times, shaking his head, wondering who had gone to all this trouble to prank him.     Putting on one of his favored outfits, boots, loose fitting pants, his favorite jacket over a fitted shirt, and finger-less gloves he tucked his new batons into the back of his belt and walked out onto his porch.
    
    
    
    
    "Okay, " he announced, staring out into the night. "Let's see what the game is. I accept! "
    
    
    
    
    As he pressed the letter to his chest he expected someone to burst out laughing, instead the Universe dissolved around him. Light, soundless sound, cold, hot, nothing, everything. He felt it all in an instant that nearly broke his mind as it ended.
    
    
    
    
    Ryan found himself at the bottom of a sweeping stairway. He was vaguely aware of others around him, but a figure on a landing above captured his attention. An androgynous figure wearing an odd mask and dressed like he was ready to attend a formal dinner stood in front of, something that twisted his vision with strange light and nothingness. The same light seemed to emanate from the eye slots of the odd, bird like mask the figure wore, but that was all Ryan had time to notice as the figure fell back into whatever it was, and vanished. Before the disappearance had fully registered, six new figures made of the same, odd glow had appeared, moving to the position the first figure had vanished from. As the new figures struck an odd pose, the original reappeared, stepping through the obviously planned pose even as the six figures vanished in soundless pyrotechnics after a simultaneous bow.
    
    
    
    
    "Welcome, one and all, to my world. It's a pleasure, honestly. I'm certain you all have questions, as do I. But why don't we get into a more...comfortable location first? Follow me please."
    
    
    
    
    As the figure moved away, Ryan shook off the stupor that the little show, coming so soon after his own, experience, had generated.
    
    
    
    
    "Gonna have to assume this is real." he muttered as he followed the figure through a well appointed hallway that ended in a well appointed lounge, looking for all the world like a rich man's version of a man-cave. The figure was busying himself, Ryan was fairly sure it was a he by now, at the well stocked bar.
    
    
    
    
    An odd hum was tickling at the back of Ryan's brain, but after looking around he chalked it up to the lighting, and returned his full attention to the figure calmly preparing to pour wine.

Tattoos: Black silhouette of a raven, wings spread and profile face, in the upper portion of her back.

Where She is Strong: Can absorb wraiths into her own body. Can sense ghostly presences. Can easily exorcise ghosts and poltergeists. Can allow wraiths to devour poltergeists and energetic beings. Can release wraiths from her body and behave as an anchor. Strengthens wraiths in her immediate presence, including ones not attached to her. Can meditate and relax into the limbo inside her body - connecting with the wraiths dwelling there. Can actively communicate with wraiths. Body can defend itself when fallen unconscious under extreme duress (rare, limited ability).
