Seraphim~ A winged race created by the God Tempest, Lord of the Storms. Their wingspans vary, as do the colors and patterns that make up their feathers. Seraphim are generally a peaceful race and rarely do they ever dispute over territory but that does not mean they will not take up arms to defend their home. In order to soar through the skies, Seraphim are born with lesser bone density than other species which in turn allows their wings to lift their lighter frames off of the ground.

    100 lbs | 45 kg

    hair.

Long curls that tumble towards her waist, white in color. Most days Caelia will let her curls tumble loose around her shoulders or she will pull small sections away from her face and secure them with a bow at the back of her head, with some loose pieces framing her heart-shaped face.

    eyes.

Her most notable characteristic is her vermilion eyes. They are generally bright with joy but will turn a darker red whenever she is upset.

    physique.

Lithe and slender, Caelia seems small for a girl her age and is often mistaken for being younger than she actually is. Her vermilion eyes are her most noticeable feature, set in a heart-shaped face with rounds cheeks, full lips and a delicate nose. She walks with an air of pose and grace that comes from years of etiquette lessons during her years as Crown Princess.

(OC is mine and was made for me by the artist listed in the image please ignore the info in the center save for the name as it is info for a separate storyline of mine)
Name: Oihrig (Their kind do not use last names)
Aliases: Devourer of Tainted Flesh
Age: 26
Height: 7' 2"
Gender: Non-Binary They/Them
Sexuality: Pansexual
Species: Creachadair

PERSONAL:
Personality:
Oihrig has a stern air about them and usually has a look on their face that might say they were agitated or tired, but if you were to approach them they would greet you with a weary yet kind smile. They might come across as harsh but they mean well and just have a hard time engaging with others sometimes and they are often lost in their own thoughts. Because of this they also try to keep a peace about them so they don't anger as quickly as others and even in some situations can seem off putting how relaxed they are by a situation. If you catch them on off day you might see their eyes filled with an anger that they almost never show on the outside and I look filled with grief and unsorted trauma. They know this isnt because of the people around them though so they try their best to put on an air of calm so they don't end up worrying or scaring others.

Despite her demeanor though she is kind in heart and quick to worry when someone gets hurt and is empathetic towards others. They might snap at you for being careless or stupid when you hurt yourself but they will be right there with supplies in hand before you can even blink to help patch you up. She may have been called the stressful parent type, they just accept this for what it is with their arms crossed with an embarrassed look on their face. Since they don't take compliments well they often storm off quickly to avoid it mostly because they aren't used to being thanked or called words of endearment and they feel their shyness could be taken for weakness. At least that's how it was treated growing up around their own kind. They are aware how they come across to others and they do start to wonder or worry how people around them might think of them and if they are reacting properly to others but they have a hard time with emotion management and are just trying their best.

Strengths:
-Protective
-Adaptive
-Problem Solver

Weaknesses:
-Insecure
-Takes on too much
-Mood Fluctuations

Membership Length: 6 months

Biography:
Oihrig was originally from a dimension much like earth but without humans or technology, their home almost all lush green with lakes scattered across the land. Her people were from a dense forest village cut off by one large lake called a' bheàrn and her village was called craobh adharcach which was one of three major villages that surrounded the lake. Each village hosted a different branch of her kind, hers being of the more wolf like herbalists and were known for being carnivores compared to the other branches. On the other hand was the faun like spiritualists that were strictly herbivores and to the south east was the more hot headed and greedy birds that coveted wealth and the need to be top of the food chain. But Oihrig's people didn't care for wealth or lush homes and power, they cared for their area of the woods and relied on nature to give them what they needed and when they needed food they only took the bare minimum so they didn't disrupt the forest ecosystem. Oihrig themselves was a hunter hand picked by their leader since they were quick to dispatch an animal swiftly. There had even been talk of them taking over when the current clan leader became one with nature again and though they didn't see eye to eye with their neighbors they never felt enough hostility to be wary of their current peace. But Oihrig was cautious nonetheless and did their best to train to take over the clan by being knowledgeable in healing, clan duties and food management.

What they couldn't see was the growing tensions between the raven clan and the faun clan slowly coming to a boil as the fauns felt that the wolves of Oihrig's clan were not giving proper place to their lands spirits and the ravens wanted the lush green landscape that Oihrig's people called home and all the while they were out of the loop on the rising tensions. The two feuding clans then decided on an alliance that would take the wolf clan out of the equation entirely and it would only benefit them both, the fauns would be rid of the heretics and the ravens would now have more prosperous land to call theirs. As all clans before this mostly kept to themselves there was no warning to the impending doom coming towards them in the coming weeks as it they started to become crushed between two clans moving in on either side of them. It wasnt until on one of their hunting trips that they were alerted to the war they didnt realize they were apart of. Oihrigs team were closer to the outskirts by the edge of the lake when they noticed the moving caravan of the fauns on one end and to the other the weapon wielding ravens dressed in their battle attire. Oihrig demanded that they hurry back to their people to warm them so that the elderly and children could be taken to safety while they stayed behind to confront the issue at hand.

They decided to rush the biggest threat first, that being the raven clan since the fauns rarely took part in violence themselves. Of course they were not greeted kindly with spears and knives pointed at them Oihrig tried to reason with them and figure out why they were doing approaching their territory in such an aggressive manner. They even tried to reason with them by offering a compromise but they were being held back at spear point while the group continued on, their leader having no desire to continue speaking to them. They kept Oihrig in place with 4 warriors to try and keep them behind, with only a bow and some hunting knives to protect themself with they figured they could take them on easily with their skill but just as they had been battered and brusied but on the winning end so far the ravens played dirty and had someone hiding in the brush when they launched a spear at them. With a hard and heavy hit to the leg they were at the mercy of the remaining two warriors. Oihrig still managed to take them out but the cost of a lot of blood where they ended up fainting before long. By the time they came too part of the forest was ablaze against a night sky. They rushed as fast as they could after yanking the spear form their leg but it was too late by the time they got there, hiding in the trees as they watched the raven clans leader in the chair made for the wolf leader, Oihrigs clan leaders body at his feet as he laughed and cheered while the fauns danced around a fire. All Oihrig could see were the bodies of their people laying about, even the young ones that they desperately hoped had been evacuated. In shame Oihrig fled as far as they could from the scene traveling for days on end with little to know regard for their health as they didn't eat nor tend to any wounds they had until they collapsed far away at the edge of another smaller lake in the middle of an open plain. There is where they met Coda, who offered to help with their wounds and Oihrig crumbled under the first sign of compassion they had received after everything and knowing they had no home to return to they asked if they could join Coda on his travels.

But they do at times find themselves butting heads and having a hard time agreeing in things, especially when Oihrig is having a hard time regulating their emotions. But their trust still never falters especially with Coda being the only one who knows of their trauma and past.

((This is really a wip. I just wanted to post it so everyone could get an idea of what I was thinking? Hopefully that's okay...maybe tell me how difficult it is to keep track of when I'm referring to Eadwara vs Saewyn))
BASICS:

1691511882669.png
Name: Saewyn the Swift
Aliases:
Age: 16
Gender: Their society and language does not differentiate gender. English is strange in that way to them. They do not understand gender roles, nor why you would want to divide people up. They use they/them for everyone unless asked otherwise, but they’ll often forget.
Sexuality: Pansexual
Species: Human, their tribe is shorter, always less than 5 feet | they are 4'3"

PERSONAL:
Personality
:
Currently, their heart still weeps for Eadwara. They are quiet. Sometimes they climb to the highest parts of the ship, to be alone. Other times they make large empty nests of the soft things in the ship, unsure why the others don’t join them in them. They do not realize they’d have to ask. The ways of the others confuse them. Slowly, their curiosity is unbudding, and they are starting to learn about this new world they are in.

But they are still true to who they have been. Fearless, even now in this new world where gravity holds weight. It was them who flew with the fastest birds, who’d dive from cliffs, trusting their companions to catch them. One might call their actions reckless--as jumping off cliffs usually is--but for them it is easy. Their trust is unshakeable. They have expanded their trust to include the club.

Their flock is everything to them. Though they will always miss their original home, they already have fully committed to this one. Family, tribe, clan, these words are small in comparison to how much what they represent mean to her. And Coda’s friends are her new one.
Strengths: Integrity, Speed, Patience, accuracy
Weaknesses: Their grief, reckless, blind to faults, pacifistic--would never consider fighting a sentient, nor that one would.
Membership Length: 1 month
Biography: Saewyn was born to a tribe that evolved alongside giant raptors. These sentient creatures paired up in the times before, settling as one tribe. Children would grow up in the skies, learning how to fall and then grab onto the bird below them.

Though friends flew together, most would switch amongst themselves. But for a few, a special bond would grow between them. This allowed emotions and for the deepest, thoughts to pass between the pair. Though some do grow romantic, it is not required. Saewyn's was not. Their bond was unusual as it grew between an ancient owl, Eadwara. They were very wise and would tell the children stories. And Saewyn loved them. Constantly begging for more stories, the old owl would agree, providing more than that, instead teaching them to tell their own.

Together they would work their craft, not noticing when ideas weren’t always expressed aloud. Eadwara attempted to separate when they did. For a pairbond only happens once. They had lived many ages alone and knew their time was near. The loneliness was not something they would wish on anyone. But none, not even the wise can control a bond. It formed regardless, even as Saewyn respected Eadwara’s wishes to stay apart. But soon its futility was obvious. The young child managed to convince their elder to use the years they had left.

And they did. Well. Saewyn began to transcribe the stories of Eadwara amongst new creations by the two. The papers were bound into books, for the words never seemed to end. But time is relentless. Even when joy makes it seem to stop. And soon, it was Eadwara’s time. They made them promise to find something as wonderful as a pairbond. Perhaps they could manage what no one else had, creating a second. But regardless, Saewyn swore to find something.

But it still hurt. More than they were expecting. They were supported by the clan, who let them grieve. When it overwhelmed them, they would take them flying and just let them fall for as long as possible, another below to catch them. They tried to tell stories, but their stories were not like Eadwara, whose came from their knowledge. Theirs were from their dreams, latest of which they dared not speak aloud.

The tribe was tightly woven, supporting each other with little conflict. Their village was high in the mountains, where few could reach. As time has passed, they've grown into myths and legends to the people below. Rarely do they find outsiders. Which is what made Coda such a spectacle.

They were more confused than wary. Saewyn greeted the newcomer with curiosity, a light shining through the fog that had overcome her. He was welcomed into the village, fed and taught some of the skies, though like a child someone had to fly with him at first. They listened to the stories of other worlds that Coda had visited, stories more fantastical than they had dreamt. They were sorry to see him go, but the tribe had seen this human bring life back into Saewyn. They encouraged them to accept the invitation, which they did. Now they can experience new stories to save.

Name:
Trill
Aliases: Will respond to “Subject,” but. Maybe don’t do that.
Age: 22
Height: 5’6”
Gender: A game that Trill is going to win. She/he/they/etc., takes pretty much anything people default to. (I’ll probably change it from post to post, but others can stick to just one, whatever that character would do.)
Sexuality: Asexual
Species: Technically still human, but she might more accurately be considered a magic-made chimera of sorts.

PERSONAL:
Personality: Trill wears the title of “scheming rat” with pride. They’re opportunistic, always jumping at the first sign of a potential plot that could get them ahead in life and willing to con almost anyone to achieve that. The only exception has become their traveling companions, who are universally exempt from Trill’s trickery by virtue of the fact that they live together. They want to keep the peace, after all, and even anyone they don’t get along with quite as well is safe. In fact, they absolutely refuse to tell any kind of lie to the group members… including ones that would spare someone’s feelings. They’ve never seen the point in that sort of white lie in general, especially for people they feel they’re close to. Everybody else is fully fair game, though, and they occasionally like to make a game out of seeing what sort of tall tale they can get away with.

Even without deception, Trill still has an edge to them around the group that tends to come out as various levels of snark. A childhood on the streets kept them sharp, and they saw too much there to have any illusions about life’s harsher truths. They’re frequently prepared to respond to any kind of active threat with immediate violence, whether or not they actually act on that instinct. The only truly pure soft kindness that comes out on any regular basis is when they’re around animals, which they feel a sort of kinship to after everything that’s happened to them. Their companions can also see a version of this, but usually only on the ship, where Trill nowadays feels most comfortable and relaxed. Off the ship, it tends to be a coinflip, and in a public setting around strangers their lighter side essentially never comes out, too guarded to allow it.
Strengths:

- On-the-spot improvisation
- Cunning
- Resolved to do anything for the group’s sake
Weaknesses:

- Excessively blunt with companions
- Low emotional awareness
- Very stubborn
Membership Length: 1 year
Biography: The world of Shialene is populated by two sentient species: humans, who build their cities in the valleys between the countless mountains, and the kirrigal, giants dwelling on the peaks who seek a full understanding of the workings of the universe. Kirrigal are mostly known to humans as the towering mages who descend every few decades to ransack a settlement, taking whoever they find as fodder for their strange experiments. This has naturally led to a deep-set fear in humanity, because they are incapable of using magic and thus have very few ways to defend themselves beyond simply fleeing, which is equally difficult because again: magic. Despite this, due to the infrequency of the raids, the people of the valleys still manage to find ways to thrive, finding areas they’re safely able to assume are far enough from inhabited peaks to not be invaded. The attacks are still devastating, though, and all dread the idea of being taken to be a test subject.

Which is why it was especially surprising when during a raid, the kirrigal found a child who climbed the highest tower to negotiate a home for itself.

Trill (at the time nameless) was orphaned at a very young age, never truly knowing their parents. After spending their first years in a rather unfortunate orphanage that treated the children… less than ideally, they snuck into a caravan and made their way to a different town in search of better things. Their luck continued to be poor, and this pattern repeated until they found themself in a town targeted by the kirrigal. Rather than fleeing, though, they considered their options, and decided that being a willing test subject was probably going to be at least marginally better than their life so far. With that, they managed to con their way into being willingly taken in as an experimental subject, under the condition that they would be given food and a comfortable place to sleep. The kirrigal saw them as a novelty, and happily took them in with curiosity on how a willing subject would differentiate from an unwilling one.

For eight years, Trill lived as something of a subject/pet to the giants. They were actually taken care of quite well, considering the situation, as the researchers wanted to keep them alive as long as possible and thus didn’t use them for any of the more potentially dangerous tests. They primarily went through preliminary enhancement experiments similar to animal testing; things the kirrigal would consider using on themselves provided the results on Trill were good. In addition, they also tested animal fusion-based rituals on Trill, though they only ever gained invisible traits from those. It was one of the researchers working on them that named Trill, in response to how they liked to sing to distract themself during testing.

Giving them a name was unfortunately a turning point, however. Although they were very useful to have, as a happy subject seemed to be more receptive to the magics being used than the norm, many felt that some of the mages were becoming too attached to the little human. On top of that, it was becoming more and more difficult for the rituals to actually work, and the kirrigal thus learned that it was possible for humans to develop resistances to magic with enough exposure over time. This frightened them, and discussions began on how to quietly rid themselves of Trill without upsetting those who had grown attached to them.

The combination of their larger, louder voices and Trill’s strong hearing made it impossible to hide from them, though, and they decided it was finally time for them to move on like they used to. With the strengths given to them by the mages, paired with their old ways of living on the streets, they managed to escape from both the facility they lived in and the mountain city altogether. It took them a couple months to find their way back to human civilization, and it was then that they met Coda. After relearning what human society was like alongside him, they decided that they found it lacking in comparison to his offer when he gave it, and were eager to join him on his journey.

SKILL-SET:
Abilities:
As a result of the experimentation he was put through, Trill’s physical abilities have been enhanced in various ways beyond the typical limits of a human. Additionally, he’s resistant to most forms of magic that directly tries to change anything about its target; for example, a spell to induce sleep would just make him somewhat drowsy, but summoning and throwing an elemental attack at him would act as normal.

  • Strength is at an abnormal level for his physique; can carry things up to 250 pounds without much effort.
  • Senses: Greyscale darkvision, can track by scent, can hear a whisper from across a room.
  • Increased stamina; could probably run a nonstop marathon with ease, though he’s never tried.
  • Lung capacity has been increased dramatically, can hold his breath for up to 5 minutes without health concerns.
Weaponry: A collection of knives, ranging from blades actually designed for combat to one particularly well-used chef’s knife. What she has on her varies depending on her expectations for the day, but she never has fewer than three when out and about.
Items:

  • A collar with inscribed runes that label them a research subject. They almost never wear it, but refuse to get rid of it.
Skills & Specialties:
  • Very stealthy when he needs to be
  • Good at navigating the backstreets and the seedy underbelly of cities, both physically and socially

RELATIONSHIPS:
TBD, let’s chat about it now that I actually have this posted!

MISCELLANEOUS:

  • Tends to sing while she does tasks, and picks up songs/tunes as the group travels to add to her catalogue.
  • Tries to get at least one new knife in every world, and seeks out the most unique ones.
  • Prefers blander foods; the type of person to eat entirely plain pasta and be completely satisfied.
  • Very open about her experiences both as a lab rat and street urchin.
