I'd like to say I didn't cry, or beg.

"No, no please. Please, don't, I'll do anything, I swear!"

I'd like to say that. But that would be a lie.

Not only did I beg, I tried to escape. They had to tie me up, in the end. I could see my feathers turning black as they fell out, but I was much more preoccupied with the pain. It hurts, more than you can imagine. No novacaine, no pain medication. They grip your wings, the Arches, and they tear them off. Some people pass out. I've made people pass out. I always felt a little bad, while I was doing it, but I told myself it was justified. And, you know, I thought it was, until I met her.

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Height: 6'6"

Weight: 205 lbs

Body Type: Tall, muscular, slender

Position before Falling: Archangel

Personality: Ryder doesn't talk. When he does, he's probably going to be rude. He's a womanizer, a rule breaker, and a jerk. At least, until he opens up to you, which is not something that happens. If and when it does, it's clear that he is a tortured soul, haunted by his past.

Ryder had been an Archangel for two years when he met her. It was something about her, he couldn't ever say what it was, that called to his innermost self. It was a year before he acted upon his feelings. He traveled to the Lower plane, and met with her, a demon.

It has only happened three other times, an Archangel falling. The first, the angel was attempting to match demons and Angels to end the war. THe second was involved with a Human. The third thought himself higher than the law because he was an Arch. And Ryder, the fourth? He fell for a demon.

When Ryder's wings were torn off, he blamed Crowley. He told her he would never see her again. That was a year ago, and so far, he has kept his word.

Name: Zaid Evers

Position: Angel

Age: 32

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight

Height: 5'5

Weight: 140lb.

Body Type: Thin, Sturdy (Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes)

Appearance:

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/image.jpg.04a39875b671aeb44ad965e47f502c5d.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="88014" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/image.jpg.04a39875b671aeb44ad965e47f502c5d.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

History:

About a decade prior, Zaid was originally a guardian with his own human to protect. It was a time one could say was his prime. There was even talk among his friends that he would go up to be an Arch with all the effort he put into his duties. Personally, Zaid wasn't sure where the praise was coming from. He protected a six year old girl with wealthy parents who had their own experienced guardians. Even if he wasn't around, there was no way any harm could ever befall this girl. At least, that's what he thought. One night, as Zaid napped at the bedside of his human, the sound of shattering glass came from a distant window, yet it wasn't until the father of the girl barged into the room did Zaid wake to a man with blood trailing off his back. The house was under attack, and the bullet wounds in the father's body were a good indication that survivors weren't likely. Just as quickly as the father showed up, the other two guardians in the house arrived to warn Zaid of the incoming attackers. The other guardians would ensure the parents would protect the child, but the only option left to Zaid was to run. If only... Zaid doesn't talk about what happened to the girl afterwards, but it was enough to have him lose his title as guardian.

Personality:

After the decade of being a regular angel, Zaid has become rather jaded as he waits for an end that will never come. Many of his former guardian friends now refer to him only as a simple worker, and his work ethic has changed to an ever present lethargy. As such, he has a sarcastically, bad attitude toward strangers. In general though, he likes to keep an aloof and happy demeanor as time seems to flow faster that way rather than moping about.

Writing Sample:

"Hey, check this out." Zaid said with a smirk as he brought his cigarette to his lips. His chest visibly expanded as he inhaled the toxic gases. Adjusting his lips, he exhaled to create a large, round cloud above his head. "Halo." he pointed out after catching his breath. "Almost makes me look like an angel, right?" Before he could even get an answer, his less than entertained partner quickly packed her belongings and walked away. "Oh, wait. Don't go! We just met!" he exclaimed. "Well, so much for that." Defeated, he snuffed out his cigarette in a nearby ashtray and pulled out a business card from his chest pocket. Glancing over it again, the name of the bar he was in and a time, currently past due, were written on the card. It wasn't even his, but he couldn't help being curious. After 10 years of a dull life, even something as small as this could bring about something exciting. "Another dead end, I suppose." he muttered as he checked his watch. "Maybe, I could finish that task for the Arches... Nah. It's not like they gave me a time limit anyway." With a shrug, he held the card with both hands prepped to tear it. Before he could though, the card ignited and faded into ash. "Shit."

I remember the first time. It was the middle of the night. I was 12. I was supposed to get another year before I turned into this... thing. Anyway, the light woke me up. But I'm used to it now. And the pain. No one ever told me it would hurt. The first time, it felt like a thousand white hot knives cutting into me, but now it's just dull. I think that's the worst part. I had to get used to it. I wasn't always like this, you know.

Age:24

Gender:Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Height: 5'3"

Weight:100 lbs

Body Type: Thin, short, curvy

Element: Blood

Personality: Crowely is quiet and shy. She thinks little of herself and her appearance, and prefers to be alone.

Crowley was always shy, even before she gained the powers of a blood demon. But afterward, she was downright reclusive. No one ever paid much attention to her, except to stare and whisper, so when Ryder began to show interest, how could she deny it? She always thought the war was stupid anyway. But the guilt she felt when he fell was undeniable. It is rare that she ever leave her home, and if she does, she is on the Earthly plane in the forest.

ASPYN LOCKSER

"God damn it!" I screamed as I threw my glass vase across the room, ignoring the sound of shattering pieces as it made contact against the walls. I was breathing heavily. "She's not gone! I know she's not!" I just continued to scream, bursting out words of defiance and reluctance to believe the truth. "She's not that kind of person! She told me she wasn't, she can't!" I just crouched down, staring at the floor while hugging my knees close to my chest. The floor was covered with all kinds of junk that I threw and tossed during my ballistic rage after finding out. I didn't even notice the tears that raced down my cheeks. My head hurt. It felt like a siren was going off in my mind, telling me to stop. But I can't. I don't want to. There on the table was the empty seat, and the now cold food that was supposed to be for her. No one told me about this. No one ever said a word that this would happen. I was only 13, but why was I the only one in the dark? My shoulders couldn't stop their shaking, and I couldn't stop hiccuping between sobs. This cursed power. It was the power's fault. Why did you take the only one who was important to me away? She did nothing wrong..

Name: Aspyn Lockser

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Height: 5'5

Weight: 114 lbs

Body Type: Slender, Fit, Average, Slight Bust

Element: Water

Personality: Aspyn is a very headstrong woman, and you can say she's hotheaded, which is ironic considering that her element is water. She seems to leave a bad first impression at first, always having something sarcastic to say, and may even at times seem cold, but truthfully this is only because she has a hard time with communicating. She's very cautious of herself, preferring to not interact with others because she doesn't want to experience the pain of losing someone important again. Aspyn truly doesn't have anything against angels or humans, but she doesn't really take them seriously as she should. She also tends to speak without thinking..a lot, which gets her into all sorts of trouble, earning her scoldings from the others. Aspyn doesn't really care though. That's her thing. Don't give a damn.

History: When Aspyn was small, she was always well taken care of by the previous water demon. She grew to cherish her like a mother, and would always spend time with her no matter how busy her schedule. The two grew close and formed a mother-daughter like bond, one that Aspyn would never forget. It wasn't until a little over the time she turned 13 that she found out what happened. Aspyn was shocked, angered, and ridden with despair that her foster mother had died. Why? Because the power transferred to Aspyn herself. Aspyn wasn't even aware of the consequences that a water demon had, no one told her. She felt ridiculed, angry at the fact that her caretaker never even told Aspyn herself. For a long period of time, she resented having her powers, locking herself away in her own home. She continued living in isolation for a few years before she came upon one of the previous water demon's old belongings, a pendent that was colored with the most brilliant cerulean blue. What hit her most was what was engraved behind it. "There's a reason why the past is called the past," an old saying that her caretaker always said. Realizing that Aspyn had done nothing, but waste time in her own puddle of grief, she found the inspiration to once again return to the outside world, instead of staying inside alone. Although the previous water demon's death still affected her greatly, Aspyn had found the reason to continue to push forward, moving on past this obstacle.

It wasn't fair, why should they die. Out of everyone in the world the two kindest people she knew died. Adrienne sobbed as she punched the wall . The only people who had ever loved her and her sister were the ones who had to die. Just so they could get their useless element, Adrienne was shaking as the tears rolled down her face. Why didn't they warn us, why didn't they just tell us. Why didn't anyone ever warn them! Then we would have tried to stop it.She would happily swap it just for another second with them. Her and her sister had been alone on the streets for years then they took them in and raised them and now they were dead. It wasn't fair. Looking around she knew her and her sister would have to leave. There was too many ghosts in that house, too many memories for them to stay. She muttered softly for herself "Us against the world Diya. Us against the world."
The Basics

Name: Adrienne

Age: 17

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Body type: Thin , tall , not very curvy

Element: Dark

Weight: 150 pounds

Height: 6 foot 1

Digging Deeper

Personality: Adrienne is the leader of the twins and is the complete opposite of her sister. Adrienne is a hot head who tends to be quite violent and unforgiving when she's hurt or betrayed. If she has a problem with someone she will usually just tell them as she tends to be brutally honest. She isn't very good at dealing with emotions so she will get frustrated and angry which makes her lash out. She has better control of her element compared to her sister, who tends to just hope for the best when it comes to using her ability.

History: Adrienne grew up with only her sister. They were taken in by two demons when they were 8, a set of twins, with the same element as them, a man and a woman. The father always took Adrienne out to the earthly plains to observe the humans. Adrienne found it funny watching the humans and their lives and wondered how they could enjoy something so boring. The mother taught the twins about their powers and that the twins could never leave each other or they would grow gravely ill and die. The day the twins turned 13 both of their adoptive parents grew ill and Adrienne and her sister tried to nurse them better but they died. Adrienne knew that she couldn't help them It was that day that the twins gained the element. Adrienne gained her fathers element , dark. Whilst Diya gained light. After the adoptive parents died, Adrienne convinced her sister to come travelling with her. Now they just move around.

Name: Diya

Age: 17

Sexuality: Bisexual

Body type: Short , thin , cuvy (but not very)

Element: Light

Weight: 150 pounds

Height: 5 foot 3

Digging Deeper

Personality:

Diya is kind , bubbly and rather gullible. She tends to be enthusiastic and optimistic compared to her sister. She is more thoughtful than her sister and tends to be the one who deals with emotional situations as her sister tends to act or rather punch first and ask questions later. Unlike most of her kind she doesn't have any resentment towards Angels or Humans but she would rather that she didn't meet one as she didn't know what their opinion towards her would be. She loves her sister and would do anything for her. She is scared of being alone as she knows that would kill her.

History:

Diya, grew up with only her sister by her side. Diya was the youngest of the two and her sister took care of her until they were taken in by two demons with the same element as them. Diya grew close to their adoptive mother their mother would take her to the library and she would read all the books about Angels and Demons and humans. She was quite smart and learned a lot about Angels and Humans during her time with her adoptive parents. She used to run around with her sister playing games. She found it funny that Adrienne was her twin , they were opposites and didn't even look very similar. Diya liked to dress quite daintily whilst her sister was more about practicality and darkness.

rq__an_accident__rin_matsuoka_x_oc__by_misaki_kurenai-d86ojy1.jpg

Name: Aaron

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Height: 6'4

Weight: 197lbs

Body Type: Lean, great muscular definition and tone

Element: Air

Personality: Aaron is both an intimidating figure and one of the "nicest" demons anyone would ever meet, that is if you're on his good side. The reasons for both are not exactly tangible or have to do with things he’s done but rather with who he’s become over years of coping with the other demons' and some fallen emotions. He has become a very open individual, often blunt in how he feels towards other people. This can either put people instantly at ease or immediately on edge upon first meeting him and helps them realize what kind of person they are dealing with right off the bat. With some of the other demons, however, he tends to dial it down quite a bit in an effort to not pry on their conflicting emotions or personal dilemmas. Which can prove frustrating to a point where he might become persistent in ‘pushing’ them in the direction of what he feels will make them happier.

History: Aaron's past was always a bit of a mystery but there are people that would tell you that he was the type of child who was fun-loving, to say, always pulling his pranks and shenanigans, even in the dark city. But after the power transfer he changed, not enough for him to become a different person, but he did. At first he found it hard to use his element in a way that was worthy of his demonic title, So the time he usually spent goofing around then became him constantly putting himself through violent and rigorous training regimes. Back then he was a little more reserved than he is now but through the training he became the man that he is today.

Writing Sample:

I was young and I was exhausted. I allowed him to be beat me senselessly. It was nothing bad, he was just the only fallen willing to help me out with my bizarre training sessions. Every time he threw a punch, I made an effort to jolt out of the way and get him from the other side but I never did succeed. The next punch got me bad, his heavy fist hit me straight in the gut. I felt the impact move from my middle to my throat and then suddenly I bent over violently and had blood spewing out of my mouth. I felt horrible, but i mentally scolded myself for being unable to stay up. After that he stopped hitting me and I could tell it was because he felt sorry for me, something about that irked me. Although half of me was relieved there was always that damned side of me that always wanted to be better, i never wanted anyone else to give me that look. So what did I do? I spoke out to him and told him to keep going. Not the best time for me.
