Personality:
Even though he’s been through some things he is still kind hearted and warm. Leonid no longer fears death but embraces it like an old friend so sometimes he’s a bit more adventurous then he should be. It’s hard to get on his bad side as he believes everyone has a good side to them or qualities that don’t make them as bad as they might seem. The one thing about him though is once you are close with him he’s super protective. He would never wanna see a friend hurt again so he will do everything in his power to prevent them getting hurt. If you really get on his bad side he can be cold as ice though it would take a lot to get on that side of him.


Despite being warm and friendly he can be rather shy when he first meets someone. It’s not a crippling shyness but it can be a hindrance at times when meeting multiple people at once. Unfortunately he can also be suspicious of new people after the accident it’s left him wary of people who might be out to harm others. Now he doesn’t hate strangers not in the slightest bit . He’s just learned how dangerous they can be so that makes him wary of them or at least have a healthy suspicion. Leonid is working hard towards a goal of curing illnesses or something that can help them maintain a more healthy environment for all not matter what class they are.



Leonid is a tidy person in appearance and room wise as he needs his space to be perfect so accidents don’t happen. He likes keeping everything in place or a certain location. It makes things easier for him when he knows where everything is exactly located. So he doesn’t really like it when people go through his things or touch them without asking. It tends to put him off since he works hard to make things neat and tidy. However he’s also been known to make a bit of a mess when working on a patients or working on the cures he hopes to achieve. So overall he can be a bit complex and hard to read at times.

History:
Leonid basically grew up within and around the castle with his father being the court physician before him. He almost always was at his fathers side learning about plants, medicines, how to heal. As he grew older the more he went from watching to helping his father when he went out to help not only the royal court but those in the village. This is when Leo dealt with a terrible loss a childhood friend of his had become ill. So Leo took it upon himself to try and heal him since his fathers duty was with the Royal family. Leo sat with his friend for days trying everything he could think of however in the end his friend passed away. With his dying breath his friend didn’t blame him and told him to continue as a doctor. So now Leonid works hard to come up with cures that way no one he cares about will ever suffer like his friend did.

History:
•Draven had a decent childhood other then his father being a cruel man. His father was stern and very cruel to those around him that included the servants, his wife, and child. His methods for his kingdom weren’t the best he forced his people to do grueling tasks and pay tons of money towards him. Though karma came for him an assassin slipped into the kingdom one night slitting the kings throat in his sleep. This left Draven as the king but being so young he ruled along side his mother as they repaired the state of things. Under their rule things became must more pleasant and peaceful. Draven helped his dear friend Ronan when it was time as well making sure his friend had all the support he could. After the day Ronan defeated his uncle the two became closer and continued to have a strong alliance.

•A wild young woman she often seems like the tigers she owns. Mysterious, exotic, and passionate. She was very excited to receive an invitation to the castle this year. A well rounded young woman she’s a bit of everything. A kind and caring soul she would do anything for those she cares about. She’s not going to deny helping but isn’t one who doesn’t understand when her good intentions are being over used. As the youngest, Esme has always been rather spoiled to make up for the fact that one, she's a girl and two, she would never take the throne. Not that it ever bothered her much, Esme, in her own opinion, isn't responsible enough to run a country. She knows she'll do better at being married off to keep relations good with somewhere else. Esme was born on a snowy winter day in December and has grown up loving the snow, partially due to its beauty, but mainly because it means it's close to her special day. While she can come off as selfish, she's actually quite generous it's just that she's afraid to leave the palace so she's gotten a reputation that is a bit of a negative one. It all makes her rather anxious, though she hopes to one day outgrow both her anxiety and the negative connotation surrounding her name.

She enjoys writing and has even begun writing her own novel, though no one knows that, not even her ladies in waiting as it would be looked down upon. She's excited for the masquerade ball because it'll be a fresh start and no one will have any preconceived notions about her, which is what always seems to push people away whether it be platonic or romantic relationships.

Esme enjoys teasing her siblings as well as others she's close with, nothing too crazy of course, just snipping a hole in their trousers or gathering up chicken feathers and throwing them around claiming them to be snow. She's fun-loving, witty, and a hopeless romantic which is a bit dangerous during courting season. It doesn't come as a surprise that her ladies are worried about her falling for the first man she sees, after all, she's young and has never been in love.

Personality: One of the greatest things known about the eldest prince is the fact that he is a notorious charmer. He loves giving the ladies his attention and affection with little care about who might know since it really has no consequences for him. He has been known to fool with women around the castle regardless of their status, so long as she has a pretty face he is very interested. The nice thing about him is that even after he is through with them he does feel responsible for them and does his best to make sure they are taken care of. He doesn't want them out on the street or fired or punished for just having fun so he will do what he can to look after them. He also is a complete gentleman towards the ladies, never doing anything they aren't comfortable with and giving them the respect that not many men give ladies. When you are his lady he showers you with gifts and affection, bringing you food, jewels, clothes, and taking you on trips. The greatest challenge with him is keeping his interest because once he gets bored he tends to move on to the next woman.

Robert is also very protective of his siblings. When an attempt was made on Emma's life several years back and her friend died instead, Robert made sure the assassin didn't even make it to the dungeon. He tackled the servant after they stabbed Emma's friend and took a knife to the gut during the process but also beat the man to death, only seeing red as he pictured this man hurting his sister. He did his best to be there for Emma through the loss of her friend and as he recovered from his injuries but alas it was hard to get through to her as it seemed she changed after that day. Still, the prince does all that he can to love and support his siblings, cleaning up their mistakes when they are made, being there for them when they need him, making sure to spend time with each of them so they know they are loved.

Along with his siblings, he also cares greatly for his people. He is a man who feels responsible for each of his subjects and takes their hardships very seriously. He does what he can in order to prepare to rule them, wanting to know all he can about them and their struggles. During the main harvest season, Robert actually takes several of his men out to the fields and works alongside the farmers.

History: Ever since Robert was young he has been readying himself for the job of being King that he would inherit one day. He excelled in his lessons for many years but as he grew his fascination with women grew and he became distracted by the lovely ladies around the palace. His studies began to take second place in his priorities and for a while, it stayed that way. However, when an upset servant tried to take his sister's life Robert's priorities changed once more. He began to take his duties and lessons more seriously because he knew the danger his family faced if he failed as a ruler and wants to do all he can to protect them. He still enjoyed his time with the ladies but became far better at managing both parts of his life so he could have fun but also be prepared. Two years ago he was seriously considering proposing to one woman he had been enjoying time with but when she left the palace very suddenly it left him broken-hearted and in a terrible mind space that he took months to get out of.

personality: Brandish isn't like most women you might find in the palace, she is strong, fierce, crude, and independent. While her name may be that of a Rose she is certainly no delicate flower. She will let no man tell her what to say or do or how she should act unless that man is paying her damn good coin, and even then he had better mind himself. She is no ones play thing, she is no ones toy, she is a warrior, a fighter, a killer, a thief, and she is damn good at what she does. Of course since she is a sell sword her skills and loyalty can be bought but if she likes an employer enough it might make her not wish to seek out further contracts or make her less willing to be bought off. She is certain to tell each of her employers that if someone with a bigger purse comes along she will do what is best for her business, but deep down she would likely stay loyal to someone she has been through a good amount with. She can be crude, direct, and even disrespectful, using her looks to lower her foes guard then striking when the time is right. She does not often show mercy but refuses to kill an innocent child, she would never harm one so young. Deep down Brandish has a good heart but she knows that having a good heart doesn't mean you will survive the cruelty of the world and so she will do whatever she needs to in order to make it to the next day. In private she does what she can to keep the customs of her people alive since she is the last of them after the genocide that wiped them out. She is flirty and funny while also clever and cunning.

Growing up is tough, but growing up alone on the streets is far tougher. This is the life Brandish knew after the slaughter of her people. In her mind there are almost no memories of warm hugs, soft kisses or lullabies to drift off to sleep to; there is only the need to survive, the cries of horror and bloodshed, and the pain of being too weak to protect herself. Yes, growing up alone on the streets is hard especially for a little girl. She cannot remember every face that caused her pain because there are too many to count, people took from her what little she had, called her filth, beat her and worse. Eventually Brandish became the property of a low life who forced her to steal for him, to serve him and do anything and everything he wished and when she didn't obey or even if he had an off day she was what he took out his frustrations on to the point that she still Life held no joy for Brandish, only fear and a need to survive, a need that grew as she grew and became stronger as she grew less scared and more enraged at being the property of this man.

Eventually one night when her master had had and off day and was in a particularly violent mood he came to her to try and release his frustrations on her. When he grabbed her she fought back like she never had before, she struck out and her most basic instincts told her exactly what she needed to do to survive and so she killed him. Blood poured from throat and dripped from the small blade in her hand and for the first time Brandish felt free and felt true joy because she had finally become strong enough not to just survive but to take a hold of her life and protect herself. After that night Brandish set out to learn from any who would teach her in the art of combat so that she would never again fall prey to the cruelty the world shows those who are weak. She trained with some of the most elite fighters in across the kingdom and became a legend in her own right. With her skills creating a name for herself became a sell sword who worked for whoever would pay her best. Now she enjoys the luxuries of her labor and her name means something to those who hear it. Now she is no longer the prey but instead has become the predator.Her skills ended up catching the eye of the royal family of a kingdom she was passing through and after being promised all the coin she could desire she agreed to become the personal guard of one of the royals who often found themself in trouble. Their bond has become very strong over her time working to protect them and she has honestly found a friend in the young royal.

When she loves it is one of the truest and purest forms of love you can imagine because Gavy doesn't just feel bits of emotion, she feels all of it with every piece of her being. She is sly, flirty, and very very clever, always gathering secrets and information to share with Emma so her princess is always in the know. She is also not as helpless as she might appear at first glance because she is a master of poisons and after almost losing Emma to an assassination attempt once already she keeps a fast-acting poison needle on her at all times hidden within her ring.
History: Gavy was actually born into a very wealthy family that was great friends with the King and Queen of Alor and grew up running around the palace at grand social gatherings with Emma. Unfortunately, when Gavy was 11 years old her parents passed away when their vessel was lost at sea, leaving Gavy alone with her family's great fortune but no one to look after her. The royals of Alor welcomed her into their home and there she grew alongside Emma, quickly going from being Emma's playmate to her Lady in Waiting. It was a great honor that Gavy takes seriously but that is not where her loyalty to Emma comes from. Her loyalty to Emma stems from the dark nights when she was full of sorrow and crying herself to sleep when Emma would come to her and hold her as she grieved the loss of her parents. Emma was the first and one of the few people to actually care about her and what she was going through and Gavy never forgot it.

He is the kind of man who protects his loved ones with everything he has and the kind of king who would turn one of the extra castles in his kingdom into an orphanage so the orphans have a warm and safe place to live. History: When Ronan was but a child both of his parents perished in a carriage accident on the mountainside. Ronan was too young to rule alone so his uncle was made acting regent until Ronan came of age. Ronan was set to learn diplomacy and spend time at a neighboring kingdom where he met his lifelong friend Draven and the two grew up together. When Ronan was about 16 years old he learned that his kingdom was not thriving in the way his uncle described in his letters. For years Ronan had been kept in the dark about how his uncle was running the country into the ground and taking all he could from its people. This would not stand. When Ronan made it clear he meant to return and take his throne back his uncle sent men to kill him, men who failed. Ronan snuck back into his country and began to hide among the people, helping them, ambushing his uncle's gold and food stores, taking out his uncle's allies one by one, and giving back to the people. As news of the young king and his efforts spread more and more people came to support Ronan, fighting by his side, lending him aid, his people chose to follow him. By the time Ronan was 19 he was knocking down the gate of his palace and dethroning his uncle, allowing his fate to be decided not by himself but by the people. This is why Ronan's bond with his people is so strong, why he cares so greatly for them because it was them who decided he was worthy of the crown not because he was born to it but because he deserved it.

For a long time she believed this and was compliant with her place in the world. This changed however when she was pushed too far one day and began to crave the power that would allow her to take vengeance for herself and her friend, the only person she truly cared for, who was beaten to death for someone else's mistake. Eventually, her beauty caught the Pharaoh’s eye and he decided to make her a consort which granted her certain powers and then his wife and as she got more power she craved even more and so she took it. As she took her place in his bed that night she took a dagger she had hidden there earlier and proceeded to slit his throat and watch the life fade from his eyes as he choked on his blood. She then cut herself and screamed, alerting the guards outside before knocking herself unconscious. Given her rank and the fact that she looked to be a victim as well no one suspected that she took her husbands life, especially since she had made sure to make it appear as though he was a beloved god among men in her eyes. No one questioned her as she pretended to grieve and since the Pharaoh had no heirs she took his throne. She pinned the murder of her husband on an unknown assassin and left evidence that pointed to the idea he was aided by the slave masters and heads of staff who used to beat her and tell her she was nothing.

History: Waverly quite literally came from nothing and somehow managed to make himself into someone that mattered. He grew up in a small orphanage after his parents died in a barn fire, he had nothing to his name except all that lay within his mind and heart. At a young age, he would sneak away from the orphanage and down to the slums where the beggers dwelled. It was there he learned from an old man named Prescot how to play his first instrument. Prescot taught him all he knew and the beggers all grew fond of the little boy who came to learn from one of their own. As Waverly grew he learned that family wasn't just blood but it was a bond you could share with those who bring you into their hearts and homes (no matter how small they may be) and treat you with love. The beggers became his family and when he was 12 they pooled what little money they had to buy him a small wooden flute. Waverly cherished the flute and the lute that they gave him and as he started his journey to travel the world he promised he would be back to take care of them. A couple years later the young boy who left returned as a young man with fame and money but no real desire to spoil himself but rather those who had always put him first. He took care of those beggers and treated them to new homes, plenty of food, and the best care he could afford. Even now as he travels the world playing his music and painting his masterpieces Waverly always manages to make his way back home to visit his family and meet any new members who they picked up while he was gone.

alizeh kaya was not born with such a name nor has she always been a royal servant of alor. once upon a time, she was alizeh demir, the daughter of the king and queen of safran and the proclaimed crown princess of the kingdom.

as the only child of the royal pair of safran, alizeh was naturally spoiled with riches and received some of the best education within the kingdom's bounds. safran had been in an unstable state for generations due to the crumbling political and social systems. her parent's attempt to modify the system over the years was not met without opposition either and rebellions were not uncommon. so, along with her pretty dress and academic studies, alizeh was also trained in self-defense and how to wield her surroundings as a weapon.

one night, when alizeh was around thirteen years old, rebels stormed the palace, killing most that were inside--including her beloved parents. the young princess, however, managed to escape through the hidden passages within the structure with the help of a young guard whom was the son of a trusted family friend of her parents. together, the two fled to alor, leaving everything behind.

after her successful, grueling escape to alor with the guard, the two had little to no money on their hands. so, the two of them sold whatever they had on them in favor of basic needs and changed their names. they vowed to never speak of their former identities. for years, alizeh worked multiple jobs to make ends meet as did her loyal companion. even between the two of them working together, they did not always live comfortably.

after many years of struggle, alizeh was recently able to score a job as a servant at the royal palace.

Titled "Empress of Beauty and Blood", Lixue may be small in height but she makes it up with her dominating presence. She is a very beautiful woman of Asian descent, considered especially beautiful amongst women with her monolid doe eyes, small nose and petite frame. Lixue is a tiny woman, unassuming and as pretty as a red rose. That is what makes her all the more dangerous of a force to be around. Upon first greetings, Empress Lixue is one to acknowledge whomever stands before her and adjusts her mannerisms accordingly to appear as charming as possible. Her subjects see her as a divine being, untouchable to any mortal and revered, but outsiders find her to just be plain frightening. For a monarch, Lixue speaks kindly to everyone she comes across -choosing to be a benevolent individual to those in need. It is one of her most well liked qualities as an empress. She does not domineer over others instead remaining quietly assertive, understanding the power and wealth she holds. Even though she possesses these highly coveted qualities, Lixue is not a self-absorbed ruler like many others; she chooses to be fastidious with how she uses both.

She places high value on elegance, finding nature and animals to hold some of the most elegant sights; her secret love of gardening -specifically flowers- helps to calm her mind. Her unusual need to do things without the aid of servants in specific tasks may stem from her childhood. Even so, during these moments of relaxation, it is difficult for her to not think of the work she has to do; she can easily overwork herself into a state of sickness and can get tunnel vision towards her goals without regard to her wellbeing. While she finds others important, Lixue does not find herself to be all that important -just another ruler who will be forgotten with time.

When it comes to all matters of romance, Lixue has many restrictions. As an empress, her mother always told her to marry for political reasons while her father pushed for a marriage based on love. It resulted in her views on marriage to be a precarious balancing act. She has no issues speaking with men and women, even going so far as light flirting through soft romantic words and thoughtful gifts but that is as far as she can go. Lixue doubts her ability to properly care for a significant other, believing her life of work would prevent her from giving them the attention they deserve. She tends to overthink what the right course of action is towards those interested in her. Unfortunately, she has had to learn that many people are only interested in her title, not her. It has made her a hesitant person towards affection directed towards her, unsure of what there interest may be thus her mannerisms could be confused as shy or coy; it is just her exercising caution, to size up what there true intentions may be.

Lixue was born in the early morning on November 2nd, the first snowfall of the season symbolizing her namesake. She was the third child -second daughter- to the 87th empress, Fen-fang, and her official husband, Xing. Her birth was celebrated by the people for a little over a week, receiving gifts from all over to give blessings of good health and fortune. Growing up, Lixue could have everything she ever wanted but she was never a selfish child; in fact, she was quiet, unassuming and compassionate. She was favored by her father, the Emperor, who was a soft-spoken man that rarely left the inner palace. He would often tell her legends of the empire, walking through the large garden his wife had gifted him years ago and play hide-and-seek with her. Her time spent with Xing far outweighed the time she spent with her mother. The Empress rarely had any time for her daughter except for meals but even so, Fen-fang was a cold woman -nicknamed The Winter Empress- even to her own flesh and blood. The empress would spend the rest of her free time indulging her many consorts.

By the time Lixue was eight, she had become the older sister of five sister and two brothers making Fen-fang a mother of ten children. At that point, Lixue had begun her royal education. She had to learn politics, etiquette, music, literature, archery, equestrian and so many more subjects than she could possibly imagined. It left her with less time to spend with her father and siblings. Her brothers did not receive the same education as her and her sisters, seeing much less of them. In the time she had, Lixue would sneak over to see the palace gardeners who taught her about how to care for flowers. It took quite some time before her mother caught wind of her escapades, punishing the servants for speaking casually to a princess and increasing Lixue's workload. Lixue was twelve when the first assassination attempt happened. She had been travelling to the summer palace in a carriage with her oldest brother and sister, fourteen and seventeen, when an opposing political faction of violent individuals attacked there caravan. While they had been aiming for the carriage of the empress and emperor who were actually in the back, they ended up attacking Lixue's carriage. The guardsmen were highly outnumbered and before reinforcements had arrived, they managed to fatally wound her brother and permanently scar her sister -both protecting her from death.

Empress Fen-fang was enraged by the attack, growing more harsh as a ruler towards her people and increasingly paranoid. Lixue grieved for a long time over the loss of her siblings but being thrust forward as the next crown princess didn't allow her to fully comprehend the loss. When she was fifteen, her mother began to change; her actions became less refined and more violent, she started to see things that were not real and go into ranting fits, talking to nobody but herself. She began to lose sleep due to unexplained anxiety and paranoia that she was going to be killed. Lixue watched in horror the slow mental and physical decline of her mother. Doctors could not explain what was happening to her and tried many medications to try and cure her madness. It took months before one doctor figured out she had Jimsonweed poisoning. An investigation found that one of her consorts had been slipping the plant into her tea for quite a while; he was swiftly executed but not before the damage had been done. Empress Fen-fang was unable to be cured thus she passed away when Lixue was seventeen. Becoming the 88th empress as a teenager was difficult; she had to fight to be taken seriously by her competition and reverse the damage her mother had left behind. She was twenty when another attempt on her life was made, an assassin sneaking into the palace and attempting to shoot her with poisonous needles. The attempt failed.

Her response to the attempt earned her title, Empress of Beauty and Blood, by launching what was called The Spider Lily Purge. Soldiers were sent throughout the kingdom to execute Lixue's strongest opposition, there family members and any who followed them. It was a violent and bloody political decision that ultimately paid off for her. Many of her enemies were not good people that preyed on the weak so commoners found her actions to be helpful while noble families and officials saw her as barbaric for it. Being so young and making such choices solidified her position on the throne where she has remained. Shortly after her 28th birthday, an invitation arrived to a courting event in the kingdom of Alor, far across the land and ocean. It had confused her so she asked her father about it; he had apparently been acquainted with the king before he fell ill thus they received an invitation that was originally meant for her long dead older sister. Lixue knows she is not getting any younger so decided to accept the invite and began making plans for travel since it would take nearly five months to get to Alor.

Lixue is unfamiliar with most royals of other countries since very few -if any- visit her empire. The customs of Xīnghóng can be very off putting to most. However, due to the courting event, she had some agents gather intel on who would be at the event so she wouldn't be surprised and could plan ahead on how to interact with them. She was surprised to see Natalia Deliora on the list of invited since she had met the woman before. Natalia was a well respected researcher that had visited her empire. Lixue was a little hesitant towards the woman but eventually found her to be charming and valuable intellectual; she had been the first person given permission to explore the complex tombs of previous empress'. Natalia was gifted a golden Zan (hairpin) when she left as means of giving her access into the empire if she chose to come back again.

Xīnghóng Empire

Also known as The Scarlet Empire, it is a land to the far east of the world. It is surrounded on all sides by the perilous Yīng mountain range that has prevented invasion from most other countries for years but has also isolated them from most of the world. Huì pass is the only way into the empire, a long and treacherous path through the mountains. The weather tends to be more humid with a plethora of lakes and rivers across the land; summers are very hot while winters are mild with little snow. There thriving economy comes from the exportation of goods, particularly the high amounts of rice and iron they provide to other countries; they also export jade, amethyst and peridot in high quantities. They are also known for having a large and powerful navy force, dissuading attacks from countries via the sea.

The empire has a long history of being a matriarchy, ruled by an empress, and having a matrilineal inheritance. Quite opposite to the western countries, men are traditionally lesser than woman and face inequality throughout society. Most men excluding the emperor and highest officials, have no political power (unable to vote) and are expected to be subservient to there wives. They tend to have jobs in medicine, the arts or small business owners; most can learn archery but not swordsmanship and have the option to join the military but it is not required from them. Unmarried men cannot approach unmarried women; women are expected to start a courtship and provide for there husbands. Men are considered adults at twenty. Once married, many stay home to raise the children while there wives work.

On the other hand, women are held to unreasonably high expectations of providing for there husbands and children. They are able to vote, own property, run a business, etc. Every woman excluding the royal family has to serve a mandatory military service of one year at sixteen while it is optional for men. It is frowned upon for a woman to not know swordsmanship since it is seen as a form of protection for her family. They pass along there property and fortune to there daughters. The death of a noble family is a saying used to describe mothers that only have sons and there is a high stigma of women birthing a son first, seen as a sign of misfortune. Women are adults at eighteen. There is much less push for them to marry young as compared to men.

The empire follows a caste system, often referred to as The Huāyuán, that separates people based on merits and honor, not wealth. It is represented by circle of rings that steadily trail outward. The center circle Liánhuā, contains the Empress as she is the highest and most supreme power in the empire. The next ring is Huābàn which has the royal family and government officials. Next is Gàn where honorable spiritualists, people of the military, artists and surprisingly, farmers take precedence. After them is Yèzi, a faction of high-ranking families, merchants, artisans, business owners and laborers. The final ring Gēn contains criminals and fallen nobles with no merits or honor to there name.

She was gifted a gorgeous Eastern Imperial Eagle when she ascended the throne from her father. She named the large bird Zhìzhě or Sage for it's beautiful green eyes and sharp intellect. The bird is more of an independent pet that is always nearby though you may not always see it.

Lixue's mother tongue is Mandarin, particularly a dialect belonging only to the royal family. She has learned how to speak English, Japanese, Korean, Italian, German, Spanish and French throughout her education as well; her French and Spanish are her weakest two so she struggles a bit to make those out.

Enough resources to keep going and good company are plenty for him.

History: Ruggie grew up with his parents at the edge of a relatively large town. He played ball with other kids, looked out for those younger than him, and enjoyed a relatively peaceful existence. At least, that’s what he thought. As he grew and watched his parents interact, he realized their marriage was a loveless one. Even more disheartening, he realized that seemed to be completely normal. He assumed that emptiness would never escalate to something more until his childhood home mysteriously burnt down with what was thought to be his parents inside. Unbeknownst to anyone else, he’d seen his mother fleeing while everyone else occupied themselves with stopping the blaze from spreading. Ruggie, age 15 at the time, had gained enough life experience to realize what was going on. The second body they found in the charred remains of his home were in fact a woman’s, one who had chosen the wrong married man to make friends with. Ruggie had been working as an apprentice to a carpenter, though finding his true calling continued to elude him with every occupation he tried to master. His first introduction to the royal court had been as an assistant to a band at a party. While he himself wasn’t performing, he managed to make quite the impression telling jokes and socializing. He was surprised to find himself with both a job and a new sense of satisfaction with life.

She’s a team player, always striving for the least casualties and the best possible outcome. That just means she has to be incredibly over prepared for the worst outcomes. She tends to be a busybody, if she isn’t actively doing something it drives her nuts. She’ll settle down and relax after some rum, but even then she at least has to be humming a tune to feel at ease.

History: Renita grew up in a port town with her mother. Her father disappeared when she was young, though she still keeps a few memories of him with a locket he gifted her mother with when they first began courting one another. They didn’t have much growing up, but they were happy enough just being together. In hindsight, Renita’s glad she cherished that time with her mother in the moment. A few months before her 13th birthday, her mother’s health began to decline rapidly. She couldn’t work anymore and stayed home while Renita went out and did odd jobs at the dock. Loading, unloading, tying down the ships to port, even patching the sailors’ clothes became a regular source of income. Anything too expensive, she made by hand, and she took the best care of her mother that she could. All of the bed rest bought her mother almost a year of extra time with her, and that goodbye was the hardest one she’s ever had to say. At age 14, she met Marya while sewing patches in her captain’s pants. The two became fast friends, sharing their dreams. A life on the sea sounded wonderful, getting to see the world and live as she pleased had always been tempting. With a bit of extra convincing from her newfound companion, she felt that her mother would’ve wanted her to leave and find her own happiness where ghosts couldn’t hold her down. She’s followed Marya ever since, living on in memory of her mother.

Personality: Dimitri is a bit on the quiet side, preferring to listen and gather information from a distance. Once you get him talking though? He’s got plenty of philosophy to share and ideas he’s been dying to run by people. He tends to be a bit idealistic, trying to see the best in people despite the truth of the world. Learning and teaching are his passions, he wouldn’t be a tutor otherwise. Naturally, his line of work has made him pretty good with kids and still acts young enough that his older pupils feel comfortable sharing their struggles with him. He’s incredibly patient and rarely raises his voice unless you’ve really managed to anger him. Usually he’s level headed enough to leave a situation and let things simmer down, especially when it comes to anyone of higher standing. The last thing he needs is to have his hard earned reputation ruined by a silly argument. Despite being more of the “booksmart” type, he’s fairly skilled with a dagger and can defend himself as needed. He has a very limited social battery and will usually break away from crowds every so often to compose himself. As someone who values his peace and quiet, it can be a little overwhelming.

History: Dimitri’s parents weren’t exactly nobles, but they did own a plot of land that produced a decent amount of crops and animal products. While his days were usually spent helping them tend the fields or take care of the animals, he spent every spare moment he had with the limited library his parents kept. What he couldn’t find out in books, he’d try to find out elsewhere. On their trips into the town’s market, he’d do his best to find the right people to take his questions to while his parents handled their business. As he grew and learned to save money where he could find it, so did his collection of books. When the time came for him to seek apprenticeship, he turned to the local scholar. The elderly man shared what resources he had, only furthering DImitri’s curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Eventually, the man passed and had named him his prodigy. Unlike his teacher, he left his doors wide open so anyone in town could come to seek answers with him. Of course, this didn’t do so well for business. He found himself living off what little people had to donate until word of his teaching prowess spread. Soon, he was offered jobs teaching the sons and, occasionally, daughters of nobility. He left his own apprentices in charge of maintaining his position during his absences until he finally felt one of them was ready to replace him. No longer tied to a local position, he began taking jobs further and further from home. Getting to travel and to teach? What more could he ever ask for.

Main Strength(s): One of the main strengths that Harry possesses is his ability to hold a conversation. He isn't afraid to live nor die, and he isn't afraid to take risky chances even if it's almost certain to end fatally. He is afraid that he'll reach the hard end of not having any more of a mountain to climb. At the very top, would he still long for more or would he feel like he finally got all that he wanted? At that point, would death be the only answer that would finally free him?

Bold, defiant, and determent are just a few words to explain the vibrant personality that Harry possesses. He knows that he has an intelligent mind and uses it to his advantage every chance he gets. Among his friends and family, Harry is known as someone who is always kicked into overdrive and loves every moment of it. In addition, he will never be seen standing on the sidelines or not standing up for what he believes in. Headstrong with the pre-mentality to persevere and thrive no matter what the situation may be. Defending his loved ones comes naturally to him, and he will never let you down if you are on his side. However, Harry often forgets to take the feelings or lives of others into account when he is trying to advance or better himself (not to be confused with ending up getting someone killed, but more-so like changing this one thing without asking someone else or without thinking about how the other will feel). To those on the outside, words such as "self-fish" or "egotistical" could be thrown around carelessly. For those that know him, they will say that he tries to build a better legacy for everyone who is in his life. Unfortunately, he overestimates situations a lot and sometimes makes matters worse than better even if it is with good intentions. Although true, he is not afraid to admit his mistakes and slip-ups.

For his enemies, he keeps a close eye on them. He hounds over knowing their every move depending on how and why they became foes. Harry is above getting pay back the original way and rather destroy the competition in the long run if he can. If not then, if within good reasoning, he is prepared to go face to face argumentatively. Unless it is something serious, Harry does not hold grudges against anyone. With that being said, he also does not forget any encounters and will most likely avoid that individual unless it is necessary not to.

Love interests for Harry come often due to his status, but he doesn't indulge or give into them as much as one may think. It is not that he ignores them, but he often finds those interests boring or so dull that he wouldn't be able to last much if he were to go after them. When in relationships, his partner will quickly realize how much his time is divided between his desires and other projects he decides to work on. They will often feel like whenever they are at an amazing place with him, Harry will long for something higher or more excited than what he has. Most noticeably with him is his ability to be unpredictable and spontaneous, often paired with his need for adventure. He has a tendency to take off somewhere but would always let his partner know before he does (even if it's literally before he does). The most important takeaway from this is that one of his core morals is loyalty and honesty above all else. When he runs off in the middle of the night, he is not running off in the middle of the night to cheat or dishonor his relationship.

History

Harry was born into royalty within France, which surprisingly he spends the least amount of time in. His parents will constantly tell him that he needed to be at home more, to which he does try his best to until he gets bored again and runs off. That's how Harry was, even as a little child he would run off into the woods by himself. Of course, as all little children do, he got into danger more times than he could remember. In an effort to stop his little feet from taking off so often, his father decided to gift him literature that when counted, added up to more pages than any of their ages put together. Now, this was supposed to be a way to keep Harry inside for as long as possible... but what should have been read within a month was finished within a week. That was where his love for reading and writing came from, and he hadn't put down a pen since.

He wasn't the only child, Harry had a younger sister as well that he frequently got in trouble with. Although they were born at different times, it was like the two of them were glued together perfectly. The troubling thing is, when you have two headstrong children who beat to their own drums, well it would eventually pay its own price.

The two of them always had devious plans between the two, one of which happened more recently than others even though they were told not to. The battling grounds were never a place for children, but Harry and his sister always hid away in their usual spot. For the most part that was true, except this time felt particularly off (as Harry would put it if you asked him). That day he repeatedly told her that he did not want to do their daily routine, but he was never the person that would be satisfied with her going alone. The only problem is that she was already halfway there and Harry lagged behind. It was no big deal though, the two of them always ran off ahead to check the area for any grown-ups that would catch them. The sound of clanking got louder for him as he got closer to their spot, that was before shouting and the sounds of running followed immediately after.

It was a tragedy that Harry witnessed firsthand at such a young age. Ask him about it and he laughs it off, saying it was a blur even though it has played vividly in his head for many years. Within the few months, after it happened, his father had made it known repeatedly that they were supposed to be together and that they didn't need to be over there in the first place. By now he has apologized for it, but Harry believes that deep down his father will never forgive him for it.

People always tend to ask him why he can't stay in one place or why does, it is because he refuses to suffer the same fate. Living and dying in the same place without an ounce of impact on the world? Harry would disagree.

Bonus: Harry started his larger adventures on his own right after his sister was laid to rest. He couldn't get the gruesome images out of his head and the smell of her was so bad that he threw up repeatedly. So instead of wallowing in self-pity, he took initiative.

    luca has naturally wavy hair that grows rather quickly so he likes to keep them short. it is very soft to the touch and can get very unruly in the mornings. in the sunlight, his tresses are pretty shades of oak, mahogany and tawny interwoven together with ebony strands but in the shadows, it looks either dark brown or black. a small braid is interwoven near his left ear, decorated with several silver ornaments.

    luca works with birds all day, birds with very sharp talons and beaks which has given him a habit of being bundled and layered up for safety. due to that logic, tightly-fitted leather gauntlets starting at his wrist and ending over his elbows are rarely take off. fingerless leather gloves are also found on his hands as well. since leather cannot be dyed, luca sews dark green linen over it that he changes every so often. he likes to be comfortable more than anything and has a large assortment of hooded cloaks. very rarely won't find him bundled up in a cloak.

elias exist between the planes of good and bad. he is both and neither at that same time. but, that is what happens to a man who has had to sacrifice some of his humanity in order to survive and fulfill the duties he has bound himself to. he does not always enjoy doing so, but if he deems it necessary, well, then it is a necessity. though he can certainly be ruthless, violent and extraordinarily cunning, he can also be charismatic and appears to be relatively easy-going under the public eye. he has a witty tongue and enjoys messing with others. he enjoys a little bit of humor and adventure, you know? at the same time, the young man knows when to be serious.

elias has proven himself to be a devoted individual. he is a man of his word, though he can be crafty when it comes to making promises. even so, he is a person with a lot of secrets much like alizeh. but unlike his adoptive sister, he might be willing to do anything to keep some of those secrets. as one can imagine, trust does not come easy to someone like him.

there is a lot to unpack with someone like elias, but, perhaps, that is just what makes him an interesting individual.

history









elias kaya was not born with such a name. like alizeh, he once went by a different identity--elias velasco. the velasco family was a highly influential family within the kingdom of safran and was deeply devoted to the royal family. his mother had been a lady-in-waiting to the former queen before her marriage to his father. so, it was naturally assumed that elias would be given a trusted position within the kingdom when he came of age.

as his parents spent a lot of time at court, elias grew up mostly within the grand palace's walls. like most children of nobility, he had access to some of the best tutors in the kingdom. while he did attend his studies as a child per his parent's influence, he was more drawn to the art of war, and though his parents were reluctant to allow their only son to participate in such, they gave in to his desire.

at the age of seventeen, elias was appointed as crown princess alizeh's personal guard. though he was young, the king and queen were highly impressed by his skill in the art of battle, and because of their close bond with his parents, he was found to be the most suitable candidate for the job.

when rebels stormed the palace when he was nineteen, the young guard was the one to save the young princess and help her escape to alor. like his companion, he had lost his family that night. though he had wanted to save them too, he had to make a choice and, well, the oath that he had made when he had become alizeh's personal guard had won.

after their escape, the two had little to no money on their hands. so, the two of them sold whatever they had on them in favor of basic needs and changed their names. they vowed to never speak of their former identities. for years, elias took on multiple jobs in order to keep them afloat, but sometimes it was only enough to meet the very basics.

when alizeh decided to take a job as a servant at the palace, the former lord managed to secure a position as a guard in order to stay close to her.

This is just a short bio for now until I am able to fill it out completely!

Genevieve's parents were poor and saw their opportunity of having several children as a way to make a profit. Gene, being the youngest, watch all of her siblings go until it was down to her. Forced into a lifestyle she didn't like, Gen decided to take matters into her own hands and escape the grasps of the people her parents sold her to. The first several times she escaped, she would get caught and be brought back within minutes of being out until she got wiser with her efforts. Her soon-to-be "husband" decided it was best if Gen had been locked up, which didn't go so well for him as Gene developed a plan that successfully ended in the death of the man and her parents. She did not do this alone though, yet such a past like this is never spoken about. She will either tell you her fantasy story of perfect parents who died of illness or that she was raised by travelers.

Her choice to become a bounty hunter fell in line perfectly with her trying to also get away from her painful past. It had taken her a few years to not be actively on the run, but she knows that there are people still out there looking for her. Because of how frequent bounties move about and travel around, it was the easiest and most undercover thing Gene could have picked up at the time, and so she took it. Was it her first choice? Of course not, her first choice would have been to let her parents have it right then and there if she knew of her capabilities. Almost any job could have been safer and far less enemy-making, but staying in one place for too long was never her thing to begin with.
