The Cabins

Ballerina

Freckle Faced Fidgeter
The ferry started to approach a small cluster of trees, this meant that they were somewhat close to reaching the Isle of Xem, the island where Orion Academy was located. Several disappointed expressions were seen on several different students as the boat, as the small cluster of trees, remained a small cluster of trees. As they began to dock, the island looked as if it would barely have enough room for just one deck of the ferry, let alone an entire school.

It had suddenly and strategically located itself in such a spot a spot that where if it wasn't so foggy, it would be almost impossible to miss where it stood no matter where a student was standing. One would think that after having such heavy rain only a few hours ago that it would probably be sunny, but Castov's weather had a mind of its own and rained, hailed, and got foggy whenever it pleased. The only parts of the figure standing atop of the ship that was visible were its slanted glowing eyes that peered down on the students and the faint silhouette of a grin. How it managed to climb to such an odd spot with barely any student noticing was a mystery, to be fair, everything about the vice principle seemed to be mystery. " Helloooooo students!" The

figure exclaimed exclaimed in a voice reminiscent to that of a radio announcer. " Welcome to Orion Academy! Do you like the view?" He asked, before it began to snicker at his own joke.  It took several moments before the figure was calm enough to continue speaking. " I'm just messing with you guys, here's how it really looks..." In the span of only a few seconds the light gray fog disappeared everywhere besides the figure himself, revealing a dark gray sky, a cluster of mountains, pine trees scattered everywhere and several large and ornate stone buildings that was most likely the school. " This is Orion Academy.... " Now I know that we are a bit behind schedule, I may or may not have lied about the trip only taking an hour, but come on, is two hours really that bad?" Even if it was only two hours, to the majority of the students it felt like it lasted for an eternity, or at least two weeks more than the vice principal was blabbing about. " I expect the students to leave this ship in an orderly fashion, we'll exit starting with the lower deck and work our way up. Due to the... uh... unfortunate weather, we'll be postponing the entrance ceremony until tomorrow, but in the meantime, you'll be assigned your cabins and have have plenty of time to meet your new roomates..."

TIMESKIP TO CABINS

After a lengthy walk through the woods, the students finally arrived to the cabins, or at least where the cabins were supposed to be. It was hard to tell since the cabins were very spread apart, taking at least five minutes to walk from one cabin to another. They stood in an area surrounded by tree since it was the only area that every single cabin was relatively close to.  The figure stood in front of the crowd of students, since his eyes were no longer glowing, only a sly grin could be seen where his face probably was. "Cabins are always grouped by age and each cabin has a mascot... I bet all of you are curious to know your new roommates for the next year. Starting with the freshmen...." The vice principal began to yell out the which cabin each student belonged to along with tossing them their keys. After about twenty minutes of nonstop yelling and throwing, he was offically done. " You are free to go to your dorms, just be sure to head over to the dining hall sometime around 5-7 for dinnner."

Klef's eyes were immediately drawn to the shiny silver keys inside the plastic crate once the vice principal set it down. She could cared less about what lied underneath his eery grin, the only thing running through her mind was how exciting it would be to technically live on her own. Sure, she was no further than a mile away from the staff's sleeping quarters where her uncle would be staying, but the idea of not having to listen to a certain redhead's rants about hair products and telenovelas 24/7 sounded very nice. Hopefully none of her new roommates would be put off by by her shenanigans. As she was storming up an ideas to make the best possibly first impression on her new roommates, wanting to come off as the type of person who could be a great leader something so wonderful suddenly hit her, literally. The something was a key and could have been easily avoided if she had just paid attention to the vice principal, but it gave her the perfect idea.

She was surprised to hear her name being called first since K wasn't the first letter in the alphabet, whoever made the list must have been too lazy to arrange the names in alphabetical order, but she probably should have still paid attention. It was rather odd that the vice principal already seemed to have known her, it was also odd that he knew some of the other freshmen as well. The more the vice principal spoke, the more apparent it became that he seemed to know everyone, that's some seriously good stalking abilities. Her eyes lit up after hearing that a familiar name would be in the cabin with her, Alecta. How cool was it going to be to have a ghost for a roommate? The answer was obviously 'very cool' to Klef.

Once the students were dismissed to their cabins, Klef made a beeline to where her cabin was. Fortunately, her cabins happened to be one of the closer ones to the campus, but being the prankster that she was, she also realized that they would be the perfect target for pranks. She kicked the door with her muddy boot, hoping that it would open. It did not. Klef looked at the door with a puzzled expression. Sure she considered herself an escape artist, but by no means was she an entrance artist. The girl wriggled her keys into the keyhole and proceeded to try to kick it open again, but to no luck. Hoping that her roommates would not be too far behind, she waited by the door that was marked up with muddy boot prints

Ursula blinked...then she wiped at her eyes and looked around to see if this was a dream, blinked again, then looked back at Takahashi. Did she say...yes? Did she...really say yes? As in, yes yes?! Like, Really Yes?! Ursula made a loud gasp, jaw currently agape, and gave the girl a two wide eyes, slits moving around, trying to analyze any hint at a lie...but there was nothing...which meant...her face slowly contorted into a big excited smile and she began to shake in excitement. With a massive squeal that sounded more like demonic torture than an excited teenage girl, she grabbed the smaller girl by the arm and pulled her, soon enveloping her in a bone crushing (Exaggeration) hug, inadvertently smothering the 'Ninja' with her bosom. She had a friend, she had a friend, SHE HAD A FRIEND! After all those years of doing everything alone and or with her parents, she FINALLY had a friend! The very thought caused her to jump up and down in excitement, the floorboards beneath her creaking and slightly cracking. "WhEEEEEE! tHiS iS goNnA bE GREAT! wE'lL tAlK aBoUt CuTe bOyS, aNd Do OuR nAiLs, AnD wAtCh mOvIeS, aNd ShOp tOgEtHeR, aNd tRy eAcH oThEr'S cLoThEs," And the list went on and on and on as Ursula swung her New friend back and forth. This year went from sad to 1000% BETTER! She was so happy she had a new friend, she could just hug her for the whole ride!

-

And that's what she did!

Humming cheerfully to herself, Takahashi still in her arms, she oogled at the cabins all around them. WOW! She was going to live on her own! She could do so many things she could NEVER do at home! Like go outside...uh-uhm...go outside...well, that was the only thing she COULDN'T do at home besides eat ice cream after midnight. And to be honest, she had learned her lesson after last time. She had a stomach cramp for the whole morning! Shivering at the thought, her eyes widened when two keys were thrown their way, causing her to quickly drop Takahashi to catch both of them. With a big toothy smile that showed her sharp teeth, she handed Takahasi her key. "HeRe yA gO!"

Azure Zelo

Azure wondered what his new living conditions were going to be like. Considering that he was being taken to go live at a school located... somewhere across the ocean, to a private island, was something he couldn't even imagine doing ever. He wondered if he'd be lucky enough to have his friends room with him. It'd certainly make living in a dorm easier, since his friends seem like reliable people in their own ways, but wondered what would happen if he ended up with someone that was out to get him. Could he appeal from a dorm change, or would he be trapped with however he was with? The thoughts made him a little anxious, and hoped that his bad luck would favor him this time. In the end, it turned out to be that his roommates were names he hadn't learned yet. It was sort of depressing... but on the other hand, he could use the experience he had forged from making friends earlier to make new ones. If anything, before was training for now, which is going to be probably for keeps. Either way, Azure wondered if he should head to the cabin first to easily pick out who he's rooming with. After receiving what he needed, he ran to his cabin and entered, to check it out, its immediate insides, before waiting inside about 6 feet from the entrance to greet and befriend the people he was expecting to come on through.

What a pain this boat ride had been. Some shut eye was all he wanted, and it wasn't just that he was denied. He was denied petty vengeance, the most important type of revenge that immediately concerned him. If there's one thing he learned last year, living in this school is all about dealing with nuance, and nuisances. He might not have all that much tact when it comes to dealing with it, but who needs that crap! If he's constantly worrying about how other people think, he'd never get his way. If you want something to be yours, you gotta put yourself first, and anyone else who isn't a pain can ride the path he's making alongside him. And it is that reason exactly, why he was going to be roomed with that annoying spider. He thought she'd be out of the way after he left since he knew he wouldn't be in the same dorm as Ella due to year based separation. Because of that annoying brat though, that spider is probably going to give him some beef. After the little speech that was given just like last year, he made his way into his dorm, and made himself comfortable, waiting for everyone to enter before he would make his intentions with living with everyone else clear.

Castiel & Isaac

Finally, the ride was over. Honestly the two just wanted to see the beautiful scenery of the woods again and see their new roommates. Sure the two siblings may enjoy each other's company; but from time to time it can get a little annoying always being together. The good news is this year, Izzy is bunked with Cas so there is no worries on future problems like Freshmen year. Once set foot on land, it felt a lot settling and a bit wobbly since the constant rocking of the boat sort of made their feet forget how to walk on land.

As the group started receiving their keys, Izzy smiles observing the out doors. "Just like home. Right Cas?" The boy just smiles and nods. "Looks like we're bunking together this year. That sucks! You're probably gonna keep us on the straight and narrow." Kuro huffs crossing his little arms.  Izzy growls and starts strangling the puppet having enough of it's cr@# while also dangling along Cas, Shiro crying on the other hand.

"You annoying little rabbit! Shut up! I have a fuse that's about to explode from listening to your idiotic stuff." Kuro makes gurgling sounds while Cas tries relaxing the hot head with a tug. Izzy snaps out of it finally relaxing her composure. With a sigh she releases the puppet causing it to cough. "Sorry got a little ticked. He ruined the moment. Anyways let's head to our room." Cas nods again ignoring rhe blabbering Kuro.

Upon arrival, Isaac opens the door to their cabin taking in the scent of wood and serene view. Cas and Isaac take the first beds close to each other for emergency purposes. Izzy already tired flops on the bed slowly dozing off after an exasperated sigh. Within seconds she's already dead asleep. Cas couldn't help but chuckle...well shiver as if he was chuckling. The one place it was obvious to find this sleeping beauty was in bed or somewhere relaxing to sleep like under a tree. Castiel wanders around the room and taking off his puppets for the day to put away his things already knowing what to do. Cas pleasantly waits for his roommates to arrive so that he may introduce himself.

Dismounting from the boat reluctantly, she liked being at sea, so much new. But what got her off the boat was, of course, the principal. He was quite the showman and as the fog unfurled the ghost gasped. The island was beutiful and a lot bigger then she was expecting! She couldn't wait to explre it so she rushed to the shore (Not even bothering with the gangplank) and could barely sit still through the cabin assignments. She didn't stick around for long after her name was called. She had a cabin! And people to share it with! So amazing! Excited to see the place she flew off to it. After all, she didn't really have any luggage to carry... Oh well. Ecstatically she flew through the front door of the cabin and zipped through all of its small rooms. It was so cool! It was small sure but her old farmhouse was tighter. But both were very homey. Quickly she picked the room closest to the center( So she could be close to the entrance) And marked as ehrs by throwing all the furniture and sheets around, attempting to make it look as haunted as possible. Then a heavy knock came.

Alecta stood ramrod straight. Another heavy thump echoed through the cabin. Oh dear. Was she not supposed to have entered? Was someone coming to drag her out? But she had just arrived! She was practically haunting the place already! Scared and angry she jumped up to the ceiling, hoping to get the jump on whoever was going to invade her haunted house. Ooooooh she was gonna shout boo so loud they'd have nightmares for months! But to her surprise there was no door opening, no thumping, just a moment of silence. Curious now, she quietly hovered over to the door and heard, angry muttering. It sounded like... "Klef!" Alecta shouted happily shoving her incorperal torso through the dorr, "Can you believe we're in the same cabin!?"

Fife

"Well that's a wee bit much" Fife muttered at the vice principal's grand display of fogmanship, "Whas next is 'e gonaa make it rain?"

Rookie snorted from her perch on his shoulder but Fife could tell she was impressed by the sorcery. And to impress the crow was no easy feat. Stompy of course was a little more open about it.

"Wooooooooooow!" He said in wonderment, "There was fog but now there isn't! Did you all see that!"

Fife and the other two demons nodded in acknowledgement that they did in fact see that. Fife sighed. A new school, he was more nervous then he wanted to admit. The cabin assignments were long and droning until they arrived at his cabin. "I'm a... coyote?" he muttered, "The 'ells a bleeding coyote?"

"A feral dog native to Southwest north america, " Rookie whispered to him.

"An' whas that gotta do wi' me?" Fife muttered back.

"Lets see," Rookie said innocently, "You're skinny a skinny viscous little runt with light brown hair with a bark bigger then your bite. I'd say it fits you quite well."

Fife was about to be insulted then realized that it was a pretty apt comparison and snorted with laughter. Easily hecaught his key and headed off to the coyote cabin whistling as he walked. finding it easily he unlocked the door and looked around. It seemed quite big to him, as he was used to having less space to himself, but he supposed that it'd feel quite full when the other three arrived. Calmly he sat on couch and waited for them. After all it would be rude to just claim a room straight out.

The ferry turned out to be far more relaxing than she’d thought; Even though there were a few students arguing it out like there was no tomorrow… It was a decent ride without her brother there. She only hoped that the cabins wouldn’t be as suffocating as they had been last year; She’d been stuck in a cabin the previous year with four other people. Talk about having no space, especially with three of the four being complete party animals. She wondered if they were still around Orion, because she recalled one saying he’d drop out. Only time would tell at this point. Her eyes would glance over to Arjean and Mei as their names were read off, and she grinned happily as she shot them both a thumbs up in congratulations. “Welcome to Orion!” She’d whisper in an excited tone, then shot her head up to continue listening for the cabins.

The moment she’d heard her name, she perked up again and practically bounded on her heels to listen for who else would be in her cabin… Until it had occurred to her. The color had completely drained from her expression, as her hands would shoot up to nervously rub as her arms; Her wings fluttered nervously yet again, though on the bright side she was able to keep her breathing steady Cody, Soujiro, and Seiji… Those were boy names!! Her thoughts screamed out, her shoulders quivering as her hands quickly shot down to grasp at her suitcase. What would Victor do? What would he say about this? She’d promised to video call him once she reached the cabin, but would she really be okay in a cabin where she’d be the only girl? Talia Dawn

Talia let out an excited squeal when she saw the outline of the trees from the Ferry, but her excitement turned to disappointment when she realized that was all she could see. She jumped slightly when the vice-principal called out to them all and she could barely suppress a groan at his 'joke'. She watched as the fog disappeared and revealed the school, it was beautiful in a slightly dark way. She started cursing quietly when the vice-principal made a comment about the time it had taken to get here, yes it was a big deal for people like me to had to practically suffocate themselves just so that they didn't barf all over the other students. And it had in all fairness felt like a century not just a couple of hours. She snorted when he said they would be leaving in an orderly fashion she knew it was going to be a mad rush no matter how hard they tried.

Talia walked off the Ferry trying to avoid being caught up in the mob of people, she was grinning like a lunatic Thank god it's finally over, I was five seconds away from being sick all over those people.

She frowned when she read what cabin she was going to be in Bobcats?...Really? shrugging she walked towards her Cabin. Wonder what they are going to be like? I hope they aren't annoying...and if they wake me up when i'm asleep I don't care if this is a school...they will be dead meat. Talia was quite excited to have a cabin, she was nervous about the roommate part but she just hoped that her roommates would be okay and that there wouldn't be too much fighting. Her worst fear was that her roommates would hate her or wind her up, Talia was usually pretty easy-going and nice enough but she could loose her temper and she hates it when she does loose it.

Talia couldn't really imagine what the cabin would be like, she just hoped that it was going to be normal. After all some of the people weren't even human so she wasn't sure how different their living arrangements would be to people like her. She supposed she should probably try and make friends with her roommates as that would probably make all of their lives easier if they weren't fighting constantly and she could do with some friends here, she had been pretty lonely at her old school. She had been a freak, constantly having to keep herself controlled and reserved and when she was home she was still the 'freak of the family' neither of her siblings were like her, it had made her feel really alone and tainted. At least here she knew whether she made friends or not she wouldn't be alone because everyone here was a freak.

When the Vice Principal started yelling again it was like everyone had dropped what they were doing and just went to the Vice Principal, like flies to the light. Ella of course followed them seeing as she was no different and watched the show with the fog. It did take her by suprise, but she didn't really want to show that it did, even though a breath of amazement did leave her mouth for just a moment.

After a long hike of walking through the pathways they had finally made it to where the Vice Principal was saying cabins. When Ella heard her name get called for cabin Bobcats she recognized two of the names, but only one of them to a face. The girl would definantly rather have a different animal as her Cabin's mascot, but at least she wasn't any Owl, maybe she could try setting that cabin on fire at one point, but then again that would get a spider girl on her back, and that didn't really seem that appealing.

When Ella got handed her keys to the cabin she began speed walking as she shoved through people as she looked for the BobCats' Cabin while holding her bags. The girl then made a quick spot as she had spotted her cabin. Making a sharp right turn the girl walked in the direction of her group's cabin until she made it to the front door. At first she started

pulling out her keys, but she then noticed that the door was already open slightly. Putting away her keys she pushed the door open and entered to see the guy from on the boat who got shoved by...some other kid who was angry about her blowing her airhorn.

"Hi! So your Kazure? Blazure? Azure? Robin? Wait defiantly not a Robin. Um, what's your name again?" Ella did remeber him and she thought he had already introduced himself to her but yet was having abit of trouble with his name. Hoping that he'll just answer and let her call the first room was mainly what she was waiting for.

Riley Witchson

Riley stood with the other students as they all stood around listing to the Vice principal give his opening speech, along with his show of fog manipulation. It reminded him of home, where his mom would ensure that the castle was always surrounded by an ominous atmosphere of death and gloom. So while other students gave out small yelps of suprise at the view, Riley gave out a soft "aww." He would have preferred it the first way.

As they moved on to the clearing containing the living quarters, the newly revealed sun caused a metallic object heading right toward Riley to glint, and he caught it as it hit his chest. It was a key, likely for his cabin, with the other "Coyotes." He liked that he was in a group named after an animal that ate dead things. He idly wondered how the groups had been organized. Riley dragged the bag containing everything he had brought with him as he unlocked the door. The cabin itself was a bit too..... cozy for his taste. He hoped he would be able to decorate his own room. Another boy, around his age, was sitting down in the living room couch. He had a crow on his shoulder. That was good. Riley liked crows.

"Heeeeeeeey roomie! Since you don't look like a Valanche or an Ursula, then you must be Fife! Cool name, sounds Gaelic. Mine's Riley, Riley Witchson, don't really know where it comes from. Have you claimed a room yet?" The zombie said, repeating the exaggerated bow and presentation of his hand.

Azure Zelo

Azure recognized the person that came through the door and into the cabin. It was that one girl who needed help earlier, and used an air horn to let others know, or something like that. What a stroke of luck, someone Azure sorta knew, and by extent, was known to her as well... hopefully. He thought he made a good first impression back then, but either way, it was nice that he had at least one familiar face here. "Oh, its Azure, that's the name, that's me." It didn't sound like he was all that memorable to the girl, and figured just as much that it was probably his fault for that, not standing out to much from the crowd. "You're one of my roommates then I'm guessing? I remember the vice mention your name, but... his order for who was were made it hard to follow. You are Ella right?" He was pretty sure he was right. As far as he knew, there weren't any other Ellas anywhere on the boat, and the school as well. May as well confirm that now though since he didn't think there were any cabin trades or anything.

He was cleaning the inside of his eardrum as the old man continued talking on and on about irrelevant stuff (to him). He patiently awaited for his name to be called out and where he would be going in the first place. To his surprise, he wasn't grouped up or put in the same dorm as his aniki, which would make his role difficult despite attending this place, but Crocodile sure had a good ring to it. He put his hand around his "friend / associate" shoulder and pulled him closer "Hey bro, how about we go check out these rooms? Who knows, maybe some hot chicks are going to be living with us, and you know what that means..." He indicated perverse thoughts, while actually thinking of skipping living there and just going to live with the boss instead. "Let's go check it out, if that's fine with you of course, Aniki" He completely ignored the ranting that his friend gave him on the cruise.

Ella Trics

Ella grinned when he said her name correctly (people usually don't forget her name for reasons...) it might've been common for her, but it still made her happy to be remembered. "Yeah I'm one of your roommates and my name is Ella, Ella Trics! So nice job on getting it right." The girl put her hand on her hips and looked up wards when she repeated her full name just to add a bit of drama and then took her hands off after a few seconds of the drama. Remembering that she was in a cabin by looking at her bags and that there was rooms calling her name to be chosen she decided to address that. "Talking about cabins, have you chosen a room yet or is there still a running spot for first pick?" When she finished speaking the girl began looking around to see if there was any signs that said it was his room or anybody else's room.

Jekkel became aware that they were fairly close to their destination. Excitement swelled out of the bottom of his stomach. He scrambled to his feet and stuffed everything into his bag, It was quite untidy, yes but he could not wait any longer. "Well guys it appears we have reached our destination," He said with a happy tone. "We will have to meet up later or something, I just really want to see what the whole place looks like!" He yelled before hurling himself over the railing of the boat. It was after a while a cluster of students roamed through the woods, but finally, they found their cabins. Jekkel had a particularly big smile plastered to his face. He could not help not expressing himself. This was one of the only times he has ever been away from his secluded spot in the woods, It was still a secluded spot in the woods but he would have friends to keep him company. The boy approached the door of the cabin, It had a cool looking owl on top. He opened the door a smidge to see what was inside. There was already someone in there. At this time he opened it all the way to reveal his entire body "Hey" He said to the other boy. Jekkel started to approach the beds "This will simply not do" He muttered under his breath. Everyone knows the creatures of the night like to hide under beds and closets, or that's the rumors he has heard back home.  He glanced around the room he noticed that he could hang his hammock on the rafters. This would be perfect for the young bender, He preferred to be high up anyways. He used his air manipulation to jump up on top of the rafters and strung his hammock to the rafters. Jekkel had finished his makeshift bed. "So this isn't going to bother you is it?" He said laying in his hammock. Even if it did he would not take it down. He was not going to risk sleeping in a bed.

Issen Raikiyo, Fourth Year

Even now, that uncouthh fool insisted on showing his lack of etiquette. Picking the wax out of his ears? Disgusting. The announcement only lasted a moment, and they were ready to be off. A very unwelcoming odor soon found It's way in to his nose though, as the deliquint got a little too friendly with him. He started to shake a little as he dared to wrap an arm around his shoulder. "Do you want to die that badly, monkey?" Throwing the thug's arm off of himself, Issen brushed the filth off his shoulder. "It seems you haven't cleaned out your ears well enough. We aren't sharing a cabin. Even if we were, I have no intention of staying in it. I shall be dutifully camping outside my lord's quarters from dusk until dawn. None shall disturb her sleep while I remain vigilant." Issen made that proud proclamation, but the truth was that he couldn't stay in a place like that where he would short out anything electrical. He had little choice in the matter. As for the topic of girl..."Mind yourself, scum. The only thought I have for the female body are my pure feelings towards my lord, Serena, whom I shall serve till my last breath. Command it of me and I shall strike down all your foes, or take my own life should you wish it." Issen got down on his knees to bow in front of Serena.

Azure Zelo

It seemed as though Azure was lucky. A good nice person that he actually was going to be roommates with in this cabin, how fortunate. Things could of easily gone from bad to worse, but for now, things were alright. She seemed like the spunky sort, or something like that. "Oh, ya, I'm glad I didn't get it wrong either." Knowing, that Azure already had at least one person he was sure he was on good terms with gave him some relief. No matter who his other roommates may be, he could probably count on Ella if he really did need help from someone nearby. People like Ella from Azure's past experiences are the helpful sort after all. It might also be why she maybe seemed antsy to claim a room for herself also, to unpack and all. It made him realize that he probably should unpack his stuff also. He had... Probably more bags than he needed, but he was taught that he it was best to be prepared for any possible situation, no matter how extreme... Or risqué. It'd probably be best to get his stuff under lock down before to long. He'd rather forget about some of the stuff he decided to bring in the end anyway... "Oh, I didn't pick a room yet, but I think they are all the same anyway." Maybe she was hoping that wasn't true, but it's not like he knew either. As long as he had enough room to store all of his stuff, he'd be satisfied with any size, no matter how small really.

Arjean Soie

Location: Walking to their cabin
Status: Dragging Junchi to their cabin
Objective: Meet their cabin roommates
Mood: Anxious

Arjean observed the scenery that would be their temporary home for a long while. It was so beautiful: surrounded by beautiful forests, diverse creatures, and water, it was everything they could want. They wanted to squeal with excitement at the possibilities of their new environment. They could fly through the forests, take a nice long swim, ask their schoolmates all about where they come from, and perhaps just sit outside near a tree and read silently. There were just so many possibilities that it gave Arjean a headache just trying to organize them all. However, it didn't take long for them to focus on the vice principal as they began to list off cabins, roommates, and throw keys at people. Soon enough Arjean heard their name, caught their keys easily, then heard Junchi's name after someone named "Rockafeller".

All of the butterflies in Arjean's stomach flew away once they heard Junchi was grouped with them. Visions of what they would do if they couldn't be with them flashed through their mind and blinded their vision temporarily. They would have screamed if they couldn't stay with their best friend and wouldn't hesitate to argue with the people in charge until they were grouped together. It was an immature thought of course, but it was better than being trapped with a bunch of people they didn't know. Instead of screaming though, Arjean grabbed Junchi's hands and began jumping in excitement as they giggled happily. Next, they turned towards Rosemary and thanked her for her help. "I think I'd be more anxious about this school if it wasn't for your explanations and help. Once again thank you." Before Arjean could even care to listen to Rosemary's response they went off to see their roommates, all the while dragging Junchi by one of their hands.

They hoped they were nice people and weren't too loud. Thoughts darted around Arjean's mind as they tried to think about the personalities of each of their roommates and how fun it would be to be with them. The only thing they disliked was how small and cramped the cabin would be with four other people living together. What if they're actually really mean? What if they're loud? What if they hate you?  It was hard for Arjean to differentiate if those were their own thoughts or just The Voices, but either way good points were brought up. Suddenly Arjean's running slowed until they were walking and staring at their cabin with anxiety. If their roommates weren't the way they wanted, then that could ruin their whole first year at Orion. That wasn't fair. Everything would be ruined and they wouldn't be able to change it.

Mei Junchi

Location: Their cabin | Their bedroom
Status: Setting their room up
Objective: Meet their new roommates
Mood: Relaxed

Redness covered Junchi's cheeks when they finally stopped walking to learn the cabins of the school and their roommates. For someone who was athletic and had to survive by traveling long distances, it was embarrassing to be tired out from a two hour trip on a boat and then a long walk through forests. At least there was a lot of ground and plants, so they could at least get some power practicing out of this school if nothing else. Before they could truly calm themself down and relax Arjean grabbed their hands and began jumping up and down. Realizing they were grouped together in the same cabins gave Junchi a mixture of anxiety and happiness. Arjean was their friend; their best friend in fact. They were also someone that scared the hell out of them and gave them constant anxiety for almost any reason. Some days Arjean was the sweetest person someone could meet, and other days they were an immature demonic being reincarnated into a giant fourteen-year-old. Junchi would have appreciated being separated for them for a while. Not just because Arjean scared them, but also because Arjean needed to learn how to survive on their own without relying on people close to them. No matter what Junchi told themself though they knew that Arjean still needed people to even survive in the first place or else they'd have a serious breakdown.

All of Junchi's thoughts were quickly cut off when Arjean grabbed their hand and taking off towards their cabin. Realizing they needed to thank Rosemary for all her help they shouted out to her, "Thank you! Sorry for the quick leave!"

For some weird reason though, after a few seconds of running Arjean slowed down until they were slowly walking anxiously towards their cabins. "You know, whether we get bad roommates or great roommates you'll have me, right?" It took Arjean a few minutes to respond, but they slowly nodded their head and sped up their walking to the cabins until they both entered. Inside the rooms were... nice. Looking up to see Arjean's expression, Junchi was met with a face that showed a mixture of of horror and disgust. It was obvious that Arjean was already thinking of ways to design the room to look better. Designing was something Arjean was great and, and so great in fact that they at times felt the need to push their greatness onto others. Eventually they'd be so pushy that people hated their 'help" at times. "Look, let's just deal with it, okay? You can fix up your side of your room, and everyone else can do things they like with their own little areas." Once again all Junchi got in response was a nod before Arjean went to their room to get set up. Junchi decided to do the same and get their own place set up, then take a nap maybe if they still had time. They really needed a break from this long day.

Serena Masuda

She and her entourage had disembarked from the ferry without any further incident. She looked on curiously as the vice principal made his announcement, and parted the fog to reveal the academy grounds, as well as the surrounding cabins. The construction seemed to be decidedly middle ages, and she began to wonder how many creature comforts the living arrangements would come equipped with. As her key was tossed towards her, rather than catching it, a tiny gold portal opened up in front of her in the key's flight path, as the key got sucked straight into it. As the portal closed, she took note of some more minor banter between her two attendants, before Issen addressed her directly.

"Well, then at the very least I'll see to it that you don't sleep on the ground like some sort of rabid animal. In the meantime, perhaps I should see what sort of living arrangements have been prepared."

Having said that, she waved her hand towards Issen, intending for him to take the hint and stop kneeling, as she immediately made her way towards her cabin. She was about to summon her key from her Vault, before she realized that not only was the door already open, but all her roommates were already there. She didn't seem to take note of or address them, almost as if she viewed them as just part of the scenery or furnishings. All of which were now under her scrutiny as she made her way through the door into the common room. As expected, the furnishings were entirely middle-class in her eyes, and definitely left much room for improvement.

"I will have need of your services soon, but you may go acclimate to your own cabins first if you so choose."

She addressed the two that had been following her, as she took a seat in the main room. Her brow furrowed, as she realized the stiffness of the chair she was on. She'd endure it for the time being, but it was most certainly annoying her.

She had been rather silent and unassuming during the ferry trip, instead opting to observe as much as possible during the ride there. Upon disembarking, she slowly made her way to where the other students were gathering, carrying some sort of chair with runes engraved on it. She took careful note of all the different people, the vice principal, her rapidly shifting surroundings, as well as the cabin assignments. When her name was called out and her key tossed to her, she managed to free up a hand and catch it. After the assignments had been laid out, she immediately began to look for the Eagle cabin, assuming they were sufficiently labeled or otherwise marked out. Upon her arrival, she opened the door, and walked inside, her footsteps making very heavy clunking noises as she stepped on the floor. She noted that two people had already arrived ahead of her. Not wanting to make any mistakes, and seeing a good opportunity for social interaction, she spoke up. Her voice had a bit of a shallow echo to it, as though the sound was passing through a solid object, rather than organic material.

"This is the Eagles cabin, correct?"

The moment Arjean and Mei were gone, she waved happily at them before she would frown and look over to her cabin with a sigh. Rosemary brushed herself off to look presentable; She had definitely forgotten how chilly it was at night, in her cream suspender skirt and short-sleeved button up. She drew in a breath, picking up her bags, and strode to the Crocodile cabin with her head held high and her chances of ‘survival’ this year extremely low. Maybe it wouldn’t be that bad and she was just overreacting… Yeah, that had to be it. These guys had to be kind and nice, unlike the ones yelling on the ferry… Right?

As it turned out, she was the first there, and stood there in a daze momentarily. A smile slowly crept onto her lips, as she let out a cheerful squeal and rushed to her room of choice; Rosemary would drop her bags and quickly dress herself into something a bit warmer than a skirt. Their lateness to getting to the cabin already brought a first impression to her. Maybe they wouldn’t be present as much in the cabin, giving her peace and quiet! What a dream… She sighed, dressing herself in a brown off-shoulder sweater, black tights, and brown riding boots. Something about dressing up pepped her spirits, and with that she found herself strutting up to her mirror and posing playfully. Victor would be laughing, if he were here… She sighed, pulling her phone out and walking into the living room, plopping down upon the couch and texting her brother as she awaited a new face to enter. Rosemary was scared and anxious, her legs crossing nervously as she hoped for the best.

Olivandra and Oliver Kelspar

"So, otters, huh? I mean, otters are great, but owls will forever be my favourite animal, and frankly, I'm disappointed," Olivandra commented as she and Oliver walked up to their cabin. She twirled her keys around a finger while her brother had already pocketed his and was pulling both his and Olivandra's suitcases behind him, seemingly without effort, although it was really only because he was used to carrying Olivandra's luggage for her, and he packed pretty light, partially due to that. He didn't mind though, after all, he was capable, and why torture his sister just for the sake of it? Of course, he would do that later, probably by switching her shampoo around with the citrus one she hated, but right now, he was the saint of a brother helping his darling sister out.

"Otters aren't all that bad, but yeah, I'd love to be in the eagle cabin. It's a surprise that they put us together though, I would have thought Dad would have told them to separate us," Oliver commented.

Olivandra sighed. "Yeah, I don't know. Maybe he just didn't want to make us even more angry at him, or he just couldn't care less, thinking that we'll be harmless without our powers." She pulled her carry bag up over her shoulder, and grinned back at her twin. "Hey, you know what would be great? We could become pranksters. It'd be so cliche but so amazing! Plus, we could just low key charm everyone into putting the blame onto someone else. It'd be great! Sure, we wouldn't be gaining a following of adoring fans, but this is basically the next best thing."

It was Oliver's turn to sigh. "Really, O? We are not doing anything like that again. Do you ever want your powers back? Because that isn't the way to do it, I can guarantee."

"I know, V, but I'm going to die here if I don't get some daily fun in my life. Either way, I need something to do," Olivandra replied.

"Seriously? How about, oh, I don't know, studying?" Her brother said, slightly annoyed. "Please, just don't stuff this up for me at least. Unlike you, I actually want to move on with my life, away from the past."

"Yeah, you know I wouldn't mess up your life on purpose, right?" She asked. "It's just... I could explode. You know me. You know what I'm like."

Oliver smiled. "Yeah, I do. It'll be okay, O, you'll see. We'll rock this schools world."

Olivandra smirked. "Damn right we will."

The siblings reached their cabin, and, upon putting their bags next to their chosen beds, went out into the main room to wait for their other cabinmates.

After his amazing nap on the ship after helping the klef girl Jaws awoke to the sudden stop and departure of everyone. The whole getting off the ship and getting his key was not much to mention. Nothing really happened, Jaws was groggy and tired so he did not talk to anyone. He saw a couple of people he knew from third year. One of which turned completely white and looked like all happiness had been drained from her. Sadly he had no idea why she was so spooked because he was paying no attention to what the guy was saying. The head of school. Not that he did not care he just was waiting for his name and everything. Deep in thought Jaws heard his name finally, he was part of the otters. Odd that he was an otter and not a crocodile but he shrugged it off. Crocodiles were lame anyways, sharks were way better. Jaws read off the names to himself as the headmaster said them. He did not recognize any of them, he must have never met them before or it was there first time or something. He realized soon enough that was not possible. After that he watched as everyone departed, Klef and Alecta both went off to their cabin together seeing how they got put together. He saw some spunk in the two, they would do swimmingly here. But alas he had to go figure out who he was living with. It sounded like they were mostly female, except Oliver. He was sure that was a guys name. He did not really mind who he lived with, he would always make it work and if not he just would never be around just at night. It was easy to fix these certain problems.

Jaws yawned really loud as he slowly approached his cabin, he noted all the unique people running to their cabins with lights in their eyes. He always loved to see all the happiness on the first day. It was so nice. Jaws walked up the steps and crouched a bit to make sure he did not hit his head on anything and took out his key, upon putting it in the door he turned the key locking the door then went to open the door and smashed his body into the door because he wanted to fling himself into the room and see who he was living with but he failed. Jaws looked at his key in disgust "You have betrayed me" he says as he goes to unlock the door again and after many attempts finally flings himself into the room. "HELLO FUTURE FRIENDS." he yells out throwing his hands up just to smash his hand into the ceiling and then instantly fall to the ground grasping his hand not even looking at the two in the room. "The ceiling has betrayed me as well" Jaws whispers to himself before flopping onto the ground "I no longer like ceilings, I am no longer....a ceiling fan" Jaws says making a pun even though he was in pain. But the pain did not last, in about 4 seconds he flung back up again to face twins "Oh its you guys, probably should have guessed. Yo life is going to be.....two-riffic with twins" Jaws says his signature finger guns pointing multiple times as he slowly moved to an available room. Thus far that idiot called Jaws did not seem to think either was attractive at all, not that he would date oliver but still, he just was making awful puns and acting weird.

Nyx Ryzrel

"Oof...what's going on?" Nyx muttered sleepily, slipping the dark velvet blanket she was napping under over her head. As it fell back slowly onto her small shoulders, she saw that they'd finally arrived at their destination. Everyone was piling off the ferry, eager to head out through the forest. "Oh," she gasped softly, her crystal blue eyes watching everyone with curiosity, "where are we going?"

Realizing she must've slept through the entire boat ride, her cheeks turned rosy pink with embarrassment. Quickly, she stood up and gathered her things, throwing the blanket she'd made into her big brown bag. "Wait...wait for me..!" Nyx called out, rushing behind the group. Where am I even supposed to go? she wondered, biting her lower lip anxiously. Did they already assign cabins? Oh gosh, I must've missed the announcement!

Nyx followed the group through the woods in her little black booties, eventually deciding to fall back and take in the dark surroundings of the forest. She took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet scent of nature. Her eyes trailed along the crevasses of the bark on trees, the shadows cast by their beautiful outstretched branches, and smiled merrily to herself. After a long ways of strolling peacefully through the woods, she stepped out into a more open area with a few cabins. She stopped, her mouth gaping momentarily to adjust to the fact that this was where she'd be staying from now on, and then continued to move along. Oh, gosh! she thought, mentally face palming herself, I don't even know where I was assigned...

Deciding she might as well begin to make some new friends, Nyx stood up straight and allowed her eyes to fall on a random cabin to approach. She then began walking again, popping a piece of bubble gum into her mouth as usual. She headed up the steps of one of the cabins and was pleased to see that the door hadn't shut completely. She pushed open the door and headed into the cabin with a beaming grin and sparkling blue eyes.

"Hello?" she said aloud to the three people in the room.

There were two boys and a girl, two of which looked as though they must be twins. They both had fiery red hair and were dressed in red overall as well. She thought the two looked quite interesting, really. The third person, the boy, had grayish skin and a rather strange texture of some sort along his neck. He was also dressed up very cool, like the others, and Nyx appreciated their unique senses of style. She had no disappointment in choosing this cabin to meet some new people. Judging by the boy with the gray skin, she was also relieved to see that there were others at this academy who were not human. She was a bit concerned that she would do things that humans would find abnormal, and then oppose her because of it.

"Oh, I'm sorry--I didn't mean to interrupt," she exclaimed, "I just am unsure of where to go...so I just came over here for now. You don't mind do you? I mean, if you do it's fine, I can always go somewhere else..." Nyx eyed the others with a lost expression, blinking her large eyes softly.

Olivandra and Oliver Kelspar

Olivandra and Oliver were interrupted from their waiting when a large boy crashed into the cabin, making Oliver jump up from his seat in surprise and Olivandra raise a hand to her chest. The boy yelled out a greeting, before hitting his hand on the ceiling due to his large size and falling to the floor with a loud thump. He noticed the twins, and made another vague greeting, ending with a... terrific pun, and exiting into one of the other available rooms. The two siblings remained in stunned silence for several beats, before Olivandra burst into peals of melodious laughter, raising her other hand to her chest and leaning over slightly, her hair falling a little over her face. "Did... Did you s-see that?" she managed to say in between giggles.

Oliver leaned a hand against the sofa he had previously been sitting on, smiling amusedly. "Yes, I did indeed. Who do you think that was?"

"I honestly don't know, and I don't really care, but that was ab... absolutely beautiful," she laughed.

"I think that was Neptune Jones, considering all the other names seemed more feminine. Plus he kinda looked like he had shark skin, and Neptune is the god of the sea... Are you even listening to me?" Oliver asked, noticing that his sister's shoulders hadn't stopped shaking.

Olivandra dismissed him with a vague wave of her hand in his direction. "Whatever, god of the sea, shark boy, ceiling fans... Oh man, this has made my day. Now all I need is a cute impressionable boy to fall in love with me and I'll be set."

"Hey, I thought we were done with that," Oliver said, frowning slightly, but their conversation was interrupted by the entrance of a girl who looked quite young, perhaps a freshman. "Hey there," said Oliver, standing up fully and smiling kindly, trying to take away from the unfriendliness that would have been on his face just before.

The girl apologised for interrupting, and explained that she was a bit lost as to where she was supposed to go. Oliver shook his head, walking over to her. "No, no, it's fine. We're the only ones here along with another boy so far, so we've got plenty of room. If you want I could go try to find the list of cabin allocations?"

He gestured for the girl to sit down beside Olivandra, who moved over, smiling at the girl herself and brushing her hair back from her face. "My name is Oliver, and this is my sister Olivandra," Oliver introduced himself and his twin to the girl. "What's your name?"

Nyx Ryzrel

Nyx's rather "lost" expression quickly dissipated as the redheaded boy welcomed her warmly and introduced him and his sister kindly. Her pink lips curved into a satisfied grin, her eyes sparkling with merriment. She scoffed at herself mentally, feeling silly for even being a teeny bit worried. Nyx loved making friends.

After dropping her bags onto the wooden floor by the door, she stood up straight, smoothed out her watermelon pink skirt, and walked over to the two. "Oh, goodie!" she exclaimed. "I mean, yes that would be super sweet of you to help me find out what cabin I'm assigned to! Ah, to be completely honest..." she giggled, clasping her hands together behind her back and rolling her eyes in self-amusement, "I sorta fell asleep on the way here. So like, I guess I missed the announcements--hence why I'm wandering around in confusion already. Ah, but anyway! I'm Nyx!"

She swung her arm forward to shake hands with Oliver and then Olivandra as she blew a small bubble with her gum. After it popped and she retrieved the remains back into her mouth, she repeated her name. "Nyx Ryzrel. Junior here, just started. Wasn't so sure I was off to a real good start here at first, but then I met you two." Her eyes twinkled flatteringly, noticing how beautiful the two before her really were. So pretty, she thought, and quite handsome. Wonder what they smell like...probably something nice!
