Hi everyone welcome to the new batfamily roleplay group, after few months of inactiveness and lost control of the group itself without realizing it. I decided to restart this group with a new plot in mind and taking back control to hopefully make this a fun roleplay.

This is a AU version of gotham city, its a mix of the animated series but also has a bit of harley quinn series mixed in. For example: while in the animated series was dealing with the modern past of clothing and the divided areas of gotham were the rich, middle class and poor. The harley quinn side would bring in modern clothing that wouldnt have been worn in the 30s/40s and allows modern weapon or even more.


Rules are simples:
1. Please be active once or so a week, i dont mind if you are busy but if you have a chance please reply or let us know if you are gone for awhile
2. Each character must have a crush..weither it be mxm, fxm or fxf.
3. Please do not pair barbra and bruce for crush.
4. You can have genderbent characters but there has to be a balance of how many guys and females are in the rp.
5. If you want to add an idea in please ask first.

NAME: lily walker

BIOGRAPHY: she used to be from another earth but it no longer exists, being born with powers then left at a doorstep, she left that earth due to troubled past ending up in starling where she joined the scpd after training a few months ending up with the job of a low rank officer, but during a fight at the docks arrow saw her powers being used against a criminal and decided to help train her as a part of his team....around few years at 23 she decided to go to gotham as its worse criminal rates are high despite batman helping.

Kate Kane was born on January 26, 1990 to Jacob and Gabi Kane, along with her twin sister, Beth, in Gotham City. From an early age, she was very close to her cousin, Bruce Wayne, who was like an older brother to her. Kate and Beth were inseparable growing up, doing everything together. The twins would often visit Bruce at Wayne Enterprises, after the twins Bat Mitzvah on their 13th birthday as their mother was driving them home, the family's car was rammed by the Joker who had hijacked a school bus, they veered off the road almost going over a bridge. However, Kate noticed Batman arrive and assured Beth they would be safe. he used two grappling hooks to attach the car to the bridge before leaving to deal with the Joker.
As Beth tried to wake their mother, Kate quickly climbed out of the car through the broken rear window, shouting for Batman and why he was leaving so suddenly. When the bridge's pillar began to give away, Kate tried to reach for Beth's hand to pull her sister out, but the car broke away from the bridge, plunging into the cliff's river below. A horrified Kate was left on the bridge as the sole survivor, but was unaware that a few years late

Following Kate's expulsion from point rock academy, Jacob suggested that she leave Gotham to travel around the world, training under combat and survival specialists...a few years later in 2018 she returned to gotham after finishing her training and we begin from there.....

Equipment

• Batwoman suit:Kate wears a protective suit as Batwoman, to protect herself and hide her identity from her enemies when she goes out fighting crime.
  • Red wig: Kate wears a red wig while fighting crime as Batwoman; so her enemies do not mistake her for Batman, or Kate herself as she has shorter brunette hair in her civilian identity. She also uses it as a memory of her birthstone.
• Expandable bo-staff: used an expandable bo-staff in her battle against Alice and her wonderland gang.
• Laser saw: The device can cut through anything.
• Motorcycle: has a motorcycle to help her travel around Gotham.
• Rebreather: used a rebreather from Bruce Wayne's collection of gadgets to save Beth from drowning.
• Bat-Belt: Just as Batman did, she has her own version of the utility belt. Batwoman's belt is very similar to Batman's in design, with the main difference of having a red-shaded coloration.
  • Batarang:Kate uses a roughly bat-shaped throwing weapon. Given that she her arms are shorter than Bruce's, Luke had to modify a new set of Batarangs explicitly for Kate to use, since she has trouble in that regard with the original set.
    • Recording device: Kate has a special Batarang with an audio-recording device built inside in order to listen in on both Roger Hayden and John Deegan inside Arkham.
  • Grappling gun: Kate uses a length of monofilament wire attached to a spool, and primarily is used for scaling buildings and ensnaring targets.
  • Subdermal transmitter: Batwoman uses a subdermal tracking device the size of a microchip in order to locate and pursue some criminals.
  • Voice filter: Batwoman uses a voice filter to disguise her voice from individuals who know Kate Kane to prevent them from recognizing her voice.

Name: Timothy “Tim” Jackson Drake

Age: 16

Biography: Tim was born to Jack and Janet Drake, the rich, but new-money, owners of Drake Industries and archeologists. The Drakes spend a lot of their time traveling and trying to fit in with Gotham’s upper-class, at the expense of spending time with their son. Tim’s independence and intellect made it very easy for him to become a vigilante in his early teens, becoming the third sidekick of Batman and using the name Robin. Tim tried to convince Bruce Wayne to find a new Robin after the death of Jason Todd and Batman’s subsequent dive into ruthlessness, but when his attempts to have Dick Grayson reinstated failed he blackmailed Batman into taking him on with the knowledge of his secret identity. Because of their rocky beginnings, Bruce and Tim’s relationship took a long time to develop into one of trust, so, despite Tim’s adoption and their current good standing, they can still run into some problems. Tim Drake is more of a detective than a fighter, though his training both from Batman and Nightwing and overseas has helped him become a skilled superhero.

Appearance: Tim Drake is Caucasian, has black hair, and sports light blue eyes, which can appear grayish in the right lighting. At 16 he is 5’5” and weighs 126 lbs. Because he’s a teenager, he’s lanky and a bit small, but insists that he’s going to keep growing so there’s nothing to worry about.

Character motivation: Tim Drake has always been a bit of a day dreamer, and his childhood also left him feeling lonely, so his largest motivation is his desire to create the life he wants. He strives to be a hero, someone good and noble, and to be loved and wanted by his childhood heroes, now his mentors, because of it. Tim works hard to fulfill his dream to be a version of himself that no one, himself included, could find lacking, which he believes will allow him to find a place where he belongs and be loved without conditions.

Writing sample: “Tim flopped back onto his bed, ‘I don’t think you understand how hard it is, Dick. This teacher legitimately hates me. Between being out or falling asleep because of my night life, and how dull this stupid class is, I don’t really seem like the kind of kid who puts in effort. If I ask for extra credit he’ll think that I just got in my grades and my parents freaked out, not that I actually want to try.’ He rolled his eyes and sighed heavily, before letting himself slide onto the carpet. ‘I think it’s just been too long since you were in school. You’re too old to understand my problems.’ The end of his sentence was muffled as he rolled out of his bother’s kicking range.”

Oh ok i understand that, you can drop bruce role then.
Since we couldnt find any bruce waynes after you disappeared i decide it would be best that bruce gave batman to one of his sidekicks
Either that he died or just faked his death and left to explore the world


Or option two we can still involve him but maybe he is more like a oracle or is retired.

Stephanie Brown aka The Spoiler || Robin/Wonder Girl || Batgirl

BIOGRAPHY:
Stephanie Brown was born the daughter of the Cluemaster, one of Gotham City's third-rate villains. Stephanie's father spent most of his childhood in prison or away from the family, and though he claimed to be "rehabilitated upon his return to Gotham", Stephanie was furious to discover that he was actually returning to crime without his need to leave clues behind. She decided something needed to be done. Stephanie tailored a costume for herself, and called herself the Spoiler. She knew where her father was hiding out, found out his plans, and left clues so that the police and Batman could stop him. Tim Drake tracked her down, and she joined in on the capturing of Cluemaster.

ABILITIES:
Powers

• Like the rest of the Batman family, Spoiler has no superhuman powers. However, during Gotham Underground the Penguin gave her an unknown device which allowed her to become completely invisible. According to Tim Drake, this "ability" was achieved through stolen technology.

Abilities

• Excellent stealth abilities, moderate acrobatic and hand-to-hand combat abilities which were later honed by training with Batman.

Strength

• Average strength for a teenage girl in good physical condition.

Weakness

• Stephanie suffers the same weakness of any normal human without super-powers such as illness, injury and the ability to die.

Equipment
As Spoiler, Stephanie carried a belt similar to that used by other Gotham vigilantes containing a grappling hook, tracking devices, and various other crime-fighting paraphernalia. During Gotham Underground the Penguin gave her an unknown device which allowed her to become completely invisible. According to Tim Drake, this "ability" was achieved through stolen technology.

After Stephanie took on the Batgirl identity, Barbara Gordon designed a new costume for Stephanie more in line with the rest of the Bat-family's. It is equipped with armor and insulation against ballistic, flame, and electrical attacks. Stephanie's Batsuit also carries a wireless relay within the cowl, permitting her to remain in contact with Barbara. The suit also allows Barbara to monitors Stephanie's vital signs. Stephanie now also uses a collapsible bo staff, similar to the one that Tim Drake uses and implied that she has been trained by Drake and Cassandra Cain in using it before assuming the Batgirl mantle.

BIOGRAPHY:
Jean-Paul Valley Jr was, unknown to him, a test tube baby created in a lab by the secretive Catholic Order of St Dumas. His DNA was spliced with an animal, giving him superhuman capabilities. Throughout his children he lived a relatively normal life. Whilst he was too young to remember, he was moved to Gotham by the Order with his father, the current Azrael. Gotham was all he knew. He went to school, highschool and then went on to study Programming at Gotham University. However, one night whilst he was still a student; his father came home bloodied and dying, wearing the armour of Azrael. It was here that Jean Paul first learned of his family legacy, and about the hereditary title of Azrael. His father tried to warn him, but in his dying breathes, he could only mutter the order's name, and 'run'. His father was trying to steer him away from being the next Azrael. From insanity. He buried his father in Gotham, recovering the armour.

Jean Paul used his father's life savings and personal belongings, which were now his, to fly to Switzerland and locate the Order. It was here he was indoctrinated, trained and broken by the Order until he was a perfected Catholic killing machine. A mix of his training and the dark aura from the Suit of Sorrows broke him, shattering his mind. They gave him the Sword of Sin; an ancient longsword that ignites in flames when drawn.

He didn't view Azrael as a title, in his shattered mind Jean Paul started to actually view himself as the divine angel of death. It was here, in the slopes of the Swiss Alps, that the true Azrael was born. Jean Paul and Azrael are in a constant battle for control over his body. When he's not wearing the armour, he can keep Azrael under control... But once the suit comes on, Azrael awakens.

ABILITIES:
As a genetically engineered test tube baby created by the Order of Saint Dumas, Jean possesses enhanced human strength and stamina; giving him superhuman capabilities. On top of that he is highly trained in all forms of combat but favouring the sword and his bare hands. He's quick, agile and acrobatic. As well as this, he possesses a mysterious ability he calls the 'wrath of god' which allows him to bestow visions and hallucinations onto people he touches.

His sword, the Sword of Sin, it has two modes. When unignited, it acts as a standard sword. When the blade is on fire, it passes through objects and people; in this mode it doesn't harm whoever is cut or stabbed, but it forces them to remember every single sin and act of wrongdoing they've ever committed.

APPEARANCE:
Blonde hair, blue eyes with a sharp jawline and beautiful features. Standing at around 6'2". HIs physique is toned and acrobatic.


CHARACTER MOTIVATION:
Jean Paul has always been a good man with a decent sense of justice. This became the foundation for Azrael, the angel of death. Much like the Batman, he seeks to right all of the wrongs present in Gotham city, but harbours a lot of hate and anger towards those who make others suffer. His approach to criminals is a violent and brutal one. Azrael works closely with the Bat family to maintain justice, and in turn they try to keep him sane, and in check.

CONNECTIONS:
(Still discussing this with Batman to see what he's comfortable with. Since in the comics Azrael knows Batman's secret identity, Batman gives Jean a job at Wayne enterprises and he works closely with Tim Drake when Azrael temporarily takes over the mantle of Batman.)

WRITING SAMPLE:
After a long day at work he wanted to relax. Night was coming, the perfect time to sit down and... Jean paused as he walked past the mirror in his apartment, pausing to glance at the reflection staring back at him. For a moment he saw it, the flicker of a red and white tabard. Was he imagining it? Azrael was getting restless, rattling the cage. There was a small shake of his head as he tried to have a normal night for once. A hand reached up to brush his fringe away as he heart started to up its rhythm.

A cold sweat formed across his forehead. That was when he heard the voice in his mind, it wasn't quite monotone, but it had a deep authority to it. "The thoughts of the righteous are just." Azrael was quoting scripture again. There was a call, a pull. It was dragging him toward the spare room where he kept the Suit of Sorrows. Where he kept the Sword of Sin. Once again it was time for the angel of death to stalk the streets of Gotham and make the criminals cower in fear.
