nate was born and raised in rockport, maine, beside carter and julia. he was always the black sheep of the family- preferring to spend holidays and weekends with julia and her family. when he was forced to move cross country his freshman year, he reluctantly went along, unfortunately losing contact with julia along the way. he decided to stay with distant family instead of his own, upset at their uprooting of his life. he eventually became estranged, and now barely speaks to his family.

Looks: Serena is pretty – she doesn’t deny it. Dark hair and dark eyes, her Hispanic heritage shows through. She doesn’t get places because of her looks, but she is the first to admit that they help. Short and skinny, Serena can often be seen dressed to the nines, wearing heels and dresses/skirts at every event as she trails Carter and keeps him on task.
