Fandom Teen Titans: Mirror ((Full))

AngelofMusic

One with the Rhythm and Bass

  • Portals have been appearing, rifts that bridge the gap between realities. Most of them are small, the size of a cat, or a man, or maybe on the slim chance of a car. No one really knows what is causing them, nor as of yet is there a way to predict them. Many people don’t even notice when they pass from one world to the next and back, the shift so seamless as to be completely missed. That is of course assuming that the reality that they step into is one of those close to this one.

So far the portals haven’t really caused that many issues, more confusion than anything else as people with the same faces appear or people disappear. At most there have been villains leaking through, right alongside heroes. Other realities though haven’t been as lucky. Some of them have been the subject of those who saw the portals as an opportunity to expand and to conquer.

The Justice League has declared that they are working with scientists to find a solution to controlling the portals. Until then however they stand at the ready, as do the teams under them such as the Teen Titans. They are also willing to offer shelter to any of those who have had their homes destroyed, seeking to integrate them into the society of this reality.

Recently a call has gone up, passing through the superhero networks. A new team is going to be forming in the east, a compliment to the Teen Titans in the west led by none other than Robin himself, or at least a version of him.

Robin had to admit, walking up to the Teen Titans tower had to be one of the oddest moments in his life, and that was counting the trek to get there. He had been able to see it from the plane of course, passing through security in his civilian appearance. He had been able to see the entire city from that vantage, shining in the sunlight and filled with the sounds of people and traffic, with the sounds of life. The memories of what his own realities city remained, the burned out husks and the tower shattered and laying half in the water that had been its home. The clashing images made the experience somewhat surreal. The casual greeting and slight confusion once he donned his suit and mask remained painfully accurate as well, the fisherman who took him across to the island somewhat at a loss at to why Robin didn’t have whatever craft had brought him over to begin with.

It actually managed to get worse too, although he stuck to the plan. The tower acknowledged his approach the same way, accepted the same passcode and scanned over him in the way he had always known. Then the door opened into the same entryway that smelled like home and made him just want to go up to his room and go to bed, pretend the entire thing had been a dream.

This early he expected no one to be up. Certainly in his reality everyone slept in well past the sunrise when there wasn’t an active alarm or training going on. Only Robin himself had risen with the dawn to do his morning stretches and routines under the pale light. In this reality apparently Starfire got up early.

Robin stopped right at the doorway, knowing his eyes were wide, thanking that the mask mostly hide that. The tower was whole, secure and strong, and there standing in the kitchen singing a tune he wasn’t sure was off key or just alien was Starfire. Not broken, not bloodied. The bag he had been carrying dropped to the ground, the last of his possessions clicking in their cases within. It was probably the noise that drew Starfire’s attention.

Smiling brilliantly she flew up and over the counter and across. “Robin! Most glorious morning!”

He couldn’t help it. He knew it was a bad idea, that it would be awkward to explain later and that she wasn’t the Starfire he knew. Still, the moment she was within reach he caught her, dragging her into as tight of a hug as he could.

Her concern was instant. “Robin? What has happened? Please Robin-”

“Starfire!” Hearing his own voice wasn’t actually as odd as the rest, although he admitted that it might be because he was just accepting the surreal nature of everything. Plus, he knew exactly what fueled the concern in the shout, pitched to carry to any others within earshot.

His grip released, the mirror stepping back, hands raised. It left Starfire between them, looking from one to the other with open surprise and confusion. “Robin? Robin? There is two of you?” She reached out, touching the one that was actually hers.

“No.”

“Yes.”

Answering at the same time in the same voice was headache inducing. It got the original to stop as well though. Letting his hands drop slightly the mirror Robin smiled ever so slightly. “Robin, from a reality just one side step over.”

As it turned out once that little bit got explained and proven true, this realities Robin was willing to sit down and listen. Well, on the condition that the mirror stand off in the other room for a little while when Cyborg came in, just so that both version of Robin could come in and sit down on either side of him. Considering the heroes expression as he tried to figure it out it was well worth it. The trick worked just as well on Beast Boy, although this Raven knew immediately, about as he expected of her.

Old habits died hard. Years had passed since he had flown out from under a bat’s wing yet still he crouched on top of one of the buildings. To help some with the confusion that having two Robins in one area had caused the alternate Robin had struck out for the east. Not that anyone really knew that yet. Rumors were out and about of course although it could never get as strange as the reality.

Not that it mattered, whatever team assembled he was sure would eventually come around to the idea. The portals after all were becoming worse, opening and closing unpredictably and weakening even the best defenses. It was only a matter of time before someone figured it out, and the moment they did this world chanced the same fate as his original. They had to be ready before that.

Farther off behind him the foundation of a new tower was being laid, Cyborg enthusiastically improving the design from literally belowground up. A project that made it clear that regardless of the rumors about who was leading the team there was going to be a team. Now all he had to do was wait, and keep down the local crime while he was at it.

Lucky

A new tower. A new team. A new world.

Standing within the city, Lucky scratched the back of her neck and stared at the construction site for the new Teen Titans Tower. Though there wouldn't be a lot of 'Teen' left to it, not in a few years. Especially not if the leader of this team was older too, and recruited the same.

She glanced down at her newly redesigned costume, a purple and black themed outfit that was...older. I mean, yeah, it showed more skin and was sexier. A year or two ago, Lucky would have killed to be able to pull off an outfit like this and, thankfully, another year or two had filled out her figure enough to pull it off. But the reason for it, the boy it was for, was gone. Dead. Dead and somewhere else, somewhere she'd probably never see again.

The Hive had been a great team. Okay, a tolerable team. Okay, it had been a team but their hijinks, their training and education, their missions had been thrilling and delightful. But they were children. Their goals and ambitions had been the dreams of children.

It was time to grow up.

So Lucky stood at the site of the new tower and imagined herself among them. Truly, not just as someone's girlfriend, someone they couldn't bother to give a communicator to, but a real team member. Whatever her losses in coming here, a fresh start was precious. And she intended to make the most of it.

Then she craned her neck around and yelled out "Hey, who do I have to see about signing up? Anyone in charge here? Hello?"

Mason shrugged his shoulders, allowing the jean-like button up to fall away from his body. Sweat had already begun to form along the teen's skin as he let out a shaky breath. Kicking the thin material out of his way, Mason searched the small area for a suitable shadow; one that would be large enough for him to melt into without much strain. He had been trying to make a successful jump all morning. Which, only resulted in scraped palms and many, many run-ins with trees. But, no matter how many failed attempts, he wasn't easily discouraged.

Mason knew he should have been in school, seeing as how mid-terms were fast approaching, but he couldn't bring himself to care at that point. It wasn't like his parent's cared much, either. After Keith's accident, his parents had spent as much time as possible away from home and even less time socializing with their remaining child. There were a few rare moments where he'd find their distance not so suffocating. In those times where Mason would roam the hallways in the early hours of the morning, unable to sleep, he'd find himself clutched in his mothers embrace or his fathers hand on the back of his neck, mumbling how much they loved him. He knew his presence distressed them; he reminded them too much of his brother.

But Mason refused to let their distance shape him in any way. Instead, he forced himself to focus on his 'ability.' He didn't know too much about it, only that when he was a child, Mason had accidentally 'fallen' through a solid wall. His parents had pushed it off, pretended like it never happened. Only when the child began to grow and the strange occurrences continue, did they finally take notice. They had sat him down and told him, quite sternly, that he was to never talk to anyone about it. So, Mason hid it away from his family and as the years passed, they seemed to have forgotten about it.

But Mason never forgot. He knew that whatever was wrong with him could be used for good. That's how he had found himself in the woods behind his parent's estate. Mason tensed, slowly walking towards a shadow cast by a particularly large oak tree. He quickened his stride until he was full on sprinting towards it. Just before contact, the teen squeezed his eyes shut, stomach twisting. The world around him slowed, almost as if he was pushing through water. Ice water. Before the teen could possibly open his eyes, everything shifted and he was thrown to the ground. Mason's eyes opened, quickly taking in his surroundings. He was definitely not at the estate anymore. In fact, Mason found himself laid out on the grass in front of a construction site. "I did it." He whispered to himself, before the realization actually set in. Mason jumped to his feet, a grin breaking out across his face. "I did it!" He shrieked, happily running his hands through his hair.

Kage walked through the city greatly annoyed at her predicament while she was walking she saw the tower construction site and frowned alittle, she shook her head and kept walking her mask hiding her face from view of others and her clothes hiding her feet skin.

Soon she walked into the bar she worked at and went to work when she saw others walking into the place and went about serving those she could.

Aram looked at his watch as he dangled his feet over the building. He had heard that someone would be recruiting for a hero team or something like that. It was an interesting prospect. It hadn't been long since he had finished his basic training and not long since he had started adopting the name 'Black Light' to fight crime and the likes. He wasn't sure how the people are responding to his appearance - he just does what he does.

Though, thankfully, he's managed to survive off of what some of the people who thank him give. Sometimes they're food to last him the day or actual money, in which case he uses for stitching up clothing or for more food. He had grown up under the guidance of somebody after all and now that they're gone, he had nothing but the clothes on his back and his powers.

This could also be a chance to finally live like an actual hero - at the very least, he could eat three times a day of full meals. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all. His eyes glazed over the constructions site and then there were some other people. Other people interested as well in this new team, he thought. One even appeared out of nowhere. Teleportation maybe? That was cool. He descended the building and then stood on the ground with the others. He wasn't sure what an opening introduction sounded like so he kept quiet.

Robin turned at the first hint of someone appearing, the mask hiding the faint surprise. It appeared that rumor, backed up by the raw scar that would soon be a tower, worked pretty well. His estimation of just how well it worked only went up as he moved across the rooftop that he was on. By the time he had descended, two more had appeared. Fantastic.

The boy wonder leapt, touching off one of the pieces of equipment to land on light feet before the group. A little bit showy, not a bad thing. Especially as it made the differences that he had worked into his outfit clearer. Not that it had actually changed beyond changes to the color, just enough that if he was standing next to the Robin from this realm it would be somewhat clear which one was which. “That would be me.” Rising up he let his gaze sweep over them. It lingered for perhaps a moment too long on the first one, recognizing her. Well, maybe not her specifically which gave him the odd sense of surrealism again. In his realm he had known her as Jinx, a young villain pulled from the school for young villains to move at the edges of the hero world. He would have to see if this one’s backstory was similar, if they had already drifted from the hive or even actually joined the hero side.

The other two he didn’t actually know, although the second to arrive had already displayed rather impressively at least one power he was capable of although by the excitement it might not have the greatest control. It…might actually take a considerable effort of multiple tries given the condition the boy appeared to be in. The last was more reserved, just seeming to join the gathering without show.

“Robin. At least a version of him. Welcome.” Me. It was kind of a confusing concept. He was far from willing to give up the name or uniform however. His hand extended, willing enough to put his trust into the group that had appeared in response to a request for heroes. “I’m the one who’s trying to put together a team up here.”

Lucky

She's the first to admit being surprised at actually getting a reaction. I mean, c'mon, show up at an empty construction site and start yelling and, bam, people! Who would have thought?

It starts when some kid shrieks "I did it!" nearby. And he is just a kid, though she isn't sure where he'd been before. Lucky had glanced around the site and there hadn't been anyone here. Now, suddenly, here is this kid on the grass looking like he'd caught his tail. Sophrosyne Sophrosyne

At which point another kid drops in beside her. This guy at least dressed the part, even if he was smaller than she was. The green and brown were a good combination and she'd seen worse than the green bandana. He also looked the part, for there was something to that wiry musculature that suggested a scrapper, a guy physically fit to go the distance. Even if he seemed younger than her. AI10100 AI10100

That's when Robin lands. Lucky immediately pivots and slings herself backwards into an effortless, acrobatic dodge. She flips to get distance, lands on her feet and raises her hands. The merest hint of pink lights up her eyes before she chuckles ruefully and puts one hand down, using the other to self-consciously rub the back of her neck. "Sorry," she says to a former foe. "Old habits."

Amused, Lucky nods once when Robin reveals the reason for his presence here. "So, new team? And I get to be on the inside this time? Sign me up." Her pink eyes narrow then as she peers at the Boy Wonder. "A version of him? You mean, you're not local either?" AngelofMusic AngelofMusic

...

"HEY, am I the tallest one HERE?!?!"

Kage frowned as she felt something was off about the bar as she looked around she saw several villains one looking to have a stick of dynamite hidden away from view, another having a ray gun, and one having a handgun and several other weapons.

When she grabbed a bottle of wine a man by the name of mammoth walked up to the bar "hey have you seen this girl anywhere" he asked handing kage a photo of her in human form or his adopted sister in this case when she looked at it she tilted her head "afraid not sir and sorry I need to get back to work" she said handing it back to him as she was soon blasted into the rack of liquor bottles by the man with the ray gun who was clearly drunk "rahg WHAT WAS THAT FOR" she yelled as she held her head and sides as glass was in her back from broken and shattered bottles and blood fell down the back of her head. As she stood up she hissed in pain as she tried not to move as her body I'd to get the glass out.

After the adrenaline of his accomplishment began to fade, Mason took the time to survey the surrounding area. Only then did he realize that he was actually not alone. The teen could feel panic bubbling in his chest as he realized that the other person, a girl with an unnatural hair color, was, in fact, observing him. Had she seen him exit the shadows? He seriously hoped not. If word got out about Mason's abilities, he knew his parents would be harmed by it. Not in a sense that someone would purposely seek out the couple to physically harm them, but their reputation in society would be tarnished tremendously. His parents owned one of the biggest law firms in Jump City and were highly respected. Even after the accident the year before, his parents had to keep up the facade of nobility. Mason would never forgive himself if he were the reason for their downfall.

He quickly shoved his hands into his pockets, ignoring the light stinging from the scrapes on his palm. Should he possibly call out to her? Ask how much she had seen? No, that would be suspicious! If the girl really hadn't seen him appear out of anywhere, the best thing he could do was leave the matter alone. And, possibly leave as quickly as possible. Mason felt more like bolting than engaging in any conversation, any ways. Yeah, he reasoned, I should leave before she starts asking questions. But, before Mason is able to slip back into the shadows, another figure drops beside her. Where had he been this whole time? Had he seen Mason using his abilities? If he had, the boy didn't comment on it, remaining silent.

Mason seemed to have forgotten his panic when the leader of the Teen Titans appeared before the small group. Because, of course, everyone knew who the Teen Titan's were. The heroes of Jump City, the people every kid in his school would gush about almost daily. But, here he was, extending a hand towards the three as if he wasn't a freaking celebrity around town. However, the surprises didn't seem to stop there. The girl that had been observing him only moments ago suddenly had launched herself into the air, her hands glowing a soft pink as she positioned herself.

Mason took a step back, seemingly to process the new information before him. So.. she had abilities too? That means the other male probably possessed one form or the other. And... And Robin was recruiting a team? Oh, god, Mason wanted to scream out of excitement. It seemed that the girl had the same idea as him as she suddenly blurted out something about the heights of the others. "Um," He mumbled, "I think we're the same height, actually." He took a moment before continuing, "Hi, I'm Mason."

Kage glared at the one that had fired the ray gun and went after him after all the glass was out of her back chasing him out of the bar and heading to the construction site chasing him the entire time with him yelling out in pain and fear when she caught up to him as she started to beat him senseless in her anger she didn't she Robin and the others standing there

Aram seemed intent on being silent for the sole reason of not knowing what to say. He looked to and fro the other two people who was with him in this construction site. It was odd being around other super-powered beings without having to fight them. His mentor wasn't exactly a superhuman being himself, aside from some otherworldly knowledge that he somehow has. But that was it, nothing more.

There wasn't much to note about them. The pink haired one seemed experienced, in a sense. She was taller than him, but he wasn't surprised with that fact. Almost all people around his age was taller than him. He was sure he would learn a lot from her... though, they may not be similar in power. He really needed to find someone like him; if anything, it would at least let him understand more about him.

The other one he wasn't so sure about. He appeared out of nowhere, he remembered, but that wasn't enough to get a grip of what he is. Well, he'll find out sooner or later, he imagined.

And so, another figure dropped in. The only female out of them flipped hack and seemed to be ready to attack before realizing that there was no threat. She had apologized for that. See? Experienced. He looked back at Robin who explained what was going on. He had heard of the Boy Wonder, protégé of Batman, but he remembered him being stationed at another area. That was when he mentioned being a version of him - an odd thing to say. But the pink haired female seemed to know about this too. The other male couldn't care any less about that fact.

He couldn't help but chuckle at the pink haired female's outbursts about the height. "To be fair, I was born smaller than average." He commented, speaking for the first time in the duration. Shouldn't be too bad. He then bowed his head at them. "My name's Aramiel, but I prefer being called Aram." He didn't have much of a presence outside. Even if they did know his name, there wasn't any severe repercussions. He didn't even have a permanent place to stay in so there was no personal life to ruin.

He looked towards Robin and finally asked, "What do you mean by being a version of Robin?" He wasn't aware of the actual possibility that the portals that have been popping in and out were capable of actually transporting a version of someone and put him in another reality.

Jaiden quickly packed up his science equipment, stuffing it all into his duffle bag. The school had been kind enough to let him borrow out the laboratory after hours, though today, something special was happening. Word of a new Teen Titans team had been surfacing. Although he hadn't gone public about it, Jaiden had been experiencing the growth of odd abilities, he'd tested himself and was indeed a metahuman. He'd been looking forward to this opportunity since he'd heard of it, even though he had no idea what to expect. Was it first come, first serve? Or just tryouts? His excitement had always gotten the better of him and with that, he dropped the duffle bag on the wall of the lab and ran out onto the school yard. He'd already put on his knee pads, elbow pads and helmet as he dropped his skateboard. Placing his dominant right foot onto the board, he bent forward to gain speed as he pulled out his phone, following it to the site via his makeshift tracker he'd created earlier that year. After what seemed like hours though, Jaiden finally arrived at the scene, pulling up his skate board.

He hid behind a bush at first as he looked towards the teens that were already there. Robin was definitely someone he knew. Another pink-haired girl that appeared as... Jinx?! He shook his head, glancing towards the two other boys, a brunette and other light-haired boy. After a short time of eavesdropping, he picked up his skate board, holding it in his right hand as he stood up. A not so scrawny, average-sized boy would appear towards the others. Ginger hair and dark freckled skin. "H-hey." He stammered.

At home, to be exact the basement of her parent's house Alice was working on her "costume". A simple one piece women's XXL yellow swimming suit. Her dim light was her only light source to see her handy work. After a day and a half with various breaks in between the former human has done it, holding her master piece up to reveal that she had sewn a piece from a similar swimsuit over the chest so that she doesn't show cleavage as much. Wearing a large curtain the whale woman felt a bit of pride and prosperity, to go along with the new add-on to her suit she sewed a cartoonish whale near the center of her chest.

Once she got the yellow one piece on a heavy blush came on her face as she looked herself up and down in the standing mirror. Thoughts ran through her brain as she thought of situations and each one the criminals stared at the childish decoration which giving how tightly the swimsuit was squeezing would lead them to stare at her; then suddenly Alice tore the badge of leaving a hole in a much more embarrassing spot. "Guess no hero-ing tonight." The girl said her voice a lot deeper than her original high pitch voice. Sitting on her bed, the creaking of the bending wood echoed through her room, "And just as I thought I was heavy enough." She muttered before looking out of her window into the tires and rain, her eyes on the level of the sewers.

Taking a deep breath before exhaling the nearly nine-foot tall whale lady stood, her fists clenched as the flames of determination burned as is hell lied away in the back of her skull. "Like hell, this city needs a hero and I'm that gosh darn hero." She said before a gust a wind blew through her lightly exposed breast meat. Inhaling again and closing her eyes, "They won't notice." She half lied to herself so she can go out. Peeking out into the alleyway, doing a quick sweep of her surroundings Alice went out and locked the door behind her. "This is one small step for me, one large leap in my hero career.".

It's been four hours and there was no crime insight, she even treads through the roughest parts of town. "I knew this option was over saturated. Maybe the carnival has an open spot in the freak show, hell I can be the human Shamu. Well, human like." Alice spoke to herself as she walked through the dimly lit street. "Yeah, I can swim. Not like athletically more like I've gotten good enough to save one guy who had a cramp in his leg." She seemed to be talking to someone when no one was there to listen, not even an imaginary being.

Kage huffed when the guy was unconscious and looked around seeing Robin and the other teen causing her to frown as she simply left the guy and walked over to them her mask hiding her face from view. When she got to them she stopped and stood beside lucky who she looked up and down then did the same to the others and gave a shrug as she waited for something to happen or someone to say something

James stood at the top of a building near a gathering that was occurring, he had his hood on and his spear out which made him look like the typical spell caster with a staff. "Hmm, interesting, so it is happening, I guess I should go down and say hi...". James jumped and slowly descended in front of the group of teens. He say lots of different kind of people and Robin. ( WhyNot WhyNot my apologies I confused your username and your character's name)

"So you are trying to gather a team....I believe that my presence gives the clear message that I want to join you" James took his hood off used magic to make his spear go away and continued "My name is James McAbre, but I go under the name of eclipse" As he introduced himslef he saw a person outside of the group, a masked person that intrigued him...

Kage watched the group staying silent as she saw several others join them and she tilted her head in wonder her back still bleeding without her realizing it as she went to look at who had just joined them she felt dizzy as her knees gave out from under her causing her to groan

The thought and imagining herself in a circus must have clouded her brain and eyesight as not only was she lost, she was in the city about an hour and a half from her home. Panicking Alice looked around quickly running to find somewhere to hide. Not only did she thought of herself as a freak and dreaded the reactions of normal people looking at her, and besides the frontal cleavage wasn't helping. Finding herself in an alleyway looking towards a group of kids, most wearing costumes, while a few weren't "Wait...I didn't think a con was around." The oblivious female muttered to herself as the metaphorical hamster ran to mach eight speeds before a light bulb burst after seeing a young man in a red and green costume. "Wait, is that a hero?" She said numerous equations with R adding and subtracting from the crude caricatures that should have been looking like the other teens whizzing around her head.

"They're heroes aren't they." She said to herself before face palming herself before another idea snapped like a rat trap in her mind. Picking up the idea which was they were the ones taking all her sweet glory, mainly beating up the criminals selling illegal stereos and mugging old ladies. Then again they looked kind of organized so they must have bigger fish to fry, then again they weren't on the news so the only explanation was they were taking her somewhat daily ritual, clenching her fists with her weight heavy she walked over to the younger people.

Lucky

The arrival of a skateboarder draws a surprised smirk from the pink-haired girl. "And yet another boy. At least I'm used to it." Grinning openly at the new arrival, she winks and says "Hey yourself!" fin fin

At which point some guy waving a ray gun ran towards the construction site, only to be intercepted by a strange girl in a mask intent on beating the living crap out of him. Which she proceeded to do. Lucky simply stares in astonishment at the scene of brutal, unexpected violence. About the time she realizes that, having turned over a heroic leaf, maybe she should step in and help out the victim, the girl in the mask leaves the unconscious guy on the ground and walks up to join them. Her, actually. Was she checking her out?

"Uh, who are you?" Lucky asks, still surprised. Tilting a pink pigtail in the unconscious guy's direction, she adds, "And who's he?" raven flame raven flame

That's when a wizard shows up. Or someone cosplaying as a wizard. No, probably an actual wizard by the way he floats down. And then makes his big staff or spear or whatever disappear. "Eclipse, huh? I'm Lucky. And if my vote counts, you can stay. For no other reason than finally there's someone taller than me!" Narcissus Malfoy Narcissus Malfoy

At which point the masked girl folds over in pain, revealing a series of wounds on her back. Lucky blinks, glances around at the other heroes assembled and says "Uh, anyone know first aid?"

Looking over the fallen girl, Lucky's eyes go even wider when she spots a giant...orca...whale woman? Approaching them. In a swimsuit. A swimsuit with a rather strategic exposure in the bust. Lucky is a confident girl, especially after she'd bloomed in the last year or so, but the sheer size (and figure!) of the giant woman is completely overwhelming. Taking an involuntary step backwards, she watches the Orca's approach while muttering out of one corner of her mouth at Robin, "Uh, friend of yours?" WhyNot WhyNot AngelofMusic AngelofMusic

"Did I really just say 'uh' three times in a row?" Lucky grimaces and shakes her head. "I need to widen my vocabulary."

Good god I hate you Dr.ray" she muttered referring to the man she had just beat as he was a villain she faced every now and again in her home town the man was known for his love of ray guns and guns in general.

When she saw a giant orca she heard ask her for her name and if she was fine "kage kao and not really rgh OK that hurts I might still have glass in my back" she said truthfully to the girl as she tried to stand her scarf starting to move on its own as it moves to cover her torso to stop the bleeding tell she could get someone to get the glass out

Alice's brain just like an egg on a skillet was boiling and getting scrambled, a bit of regret of showing herself as she saw a short girl with a punk rock aesthetic. All of them was under six foot, they must still be in high school just passing freshmen year. Maybe the person who she thought was Robin wasn't really him, these were kids who were just wanted to help, but if she backed down now who knows what might happen. Alice spoke with confidence and pride scrapping random lines from the Saturday morning cartoons from babysitting her younger cousin, but all she saw was hunky animated army men which didn't help at all. "Should you guys even be out here this late? I mean there's a curfew and I wouldn't want you kids to get in trouble with your parents. If you want to help the city, try to volunteer or even have a canned food drive." Alice's hands were on her hips her chest pumped out as she could just feel the American flag blow behind her as she spoke.

Then a bit of wind brushed past the hole, suddenly she can feel eyes staring at it, keeping her eyes closed so that none of them can see her mentally duck taping and hog tying her insecurities and anxiety, locking them in the closet in the darkest part of her mind. Failing to put the metaphorical soapbox and stage back up, she can feel herself breaking, trying to keep herself sturdy as sweat came down the side of her head. The slight silence was murdering her, Alice needed someone to speak and speak quickly.

Suddenly another thought came to her mind, the word professional. What does she mean by that? She started three months ago and stopped at most ten crimes and five was small time theft. She had no idea how long these kids been going at this, she felt sick, maybe she can lie to them. Maybe they know and didn't want to embarrass her at the moment, what if they had phones, they were recording her doing her stupid speech. These thoughts clouded her mind, keeping her from listening to anyone as she stood there frozen in time the only moment was the slight shivering of not only embarrassment but also a bit of shame and regret even.

Robin was glad enough actually that Lucky leapt back. It gave him at least an idea that their idea of each others pasts might not be that far off. Especially as she picked up on the not so much from this reality. He would talk to her later about that though since the appearance of a few seemed to trigger a cascade of heroes.

He really hadn't expected so many to have heard the rumors, let alone believed them. And mostly enthusiastic to join too although the gathering crowd did make it somewhat hard to see what appeared to be a scuffle happening at the edge of the yard. Whatever it was...the ah..one of those involved came to join them. Alright then. They were going to have to add more bedrooms if this was actually the kind of interest generated. Maybe a pool too as his gaze caught on the newest approaching, an...orca? His hand snapped back, fingers closing on a weapon as the masked person dropped. Wounds from the fight? She started speaking a moment later so probably not anything vital although it was likely to warrant treatment. He knew the basics although with any luck they would actually have gathered a healer. He glanced around for any such indication. "Anyone?"

His attention caught on the largest hero as she...repmianded them. For a moment Robin blinked. Had she not come here for the rumors? Then he looked over the rest. She did have a point that some of them might not be..heroes per say. He would have to wait and find out though since they did in general all look to be pretty set up to be heroes. He shook his head. "This is the recruitment for a new segment of the Teen Titans." His thumb gestured to the construction site. "I wasn't expecting so many to respond so fast so the tower isn't up but it will be shortly. You are still welcome to join. Any hero is."

His gaze turned to the rest. "Thank you all for coming so fast though. For those just coming, I'm Robin, from one or two realities over. Just as real as the one still in Jump City."

James realized that the girl in the mask was injured and said "I am a healer let me take a look" James stood behind the girl, and with a movement of his hand a green light appeared and the glass shards began to come out as the teasue healed as if nothing had happened. "Good as new" James said coldly as he proceeded to move away from the girl. "I hope I wasn't crossing some line by healing you without your consent but it seems that you were in pain" raven flame raven flame

She huffed from feeling her body healing faster them it should "it's......it's f-fine thanks that helped alot" she said as her scarf moved to rest around her neck once more as she looked around at everyone and tilted her head the face on her mask changing to show a frown instead of a smile

One or two realities over? Teen Titans? What was he talking about, looking behind him which wasn't hard due to short he was soon seeing rubble, honestly, she thought it was a new restaurant or maybe a mall. How did he even get the money to even try to construct it? Questions ran through her mind like a minigun pelting her repeatedly so much her mouth couldn't choose which one to ask first. Shaking her head holding it before looking at him with a loud "Hey!"

"Did you hear me? This isn't a game kiddo, you can be from this reality or the mud dimension but you're young, don't you have school?" This was blowing her mind, Alice was confused, scared, tired and worst of all hungry. She needed to get home or something, keeping tabs of the street before running away into the alleyway knowing it'll take her a while on foot to get home.
