<p>
To call Sid hot headed would be generous. Only a lifetime of practice has given him any ability to control his emotions, but they're always right under the surface. More than anything he hates inaction, and needs to be constantly moving and doing things to stave off a pervasive anxiety. Despite or maybe because of this he somehow maintains an absolute focus when he really needs it, but it dissolves the instant the crisis is over. With nothing to do he may turn to reckless behaviour, or drink. At the core he is as good a person as anyone really is now, which is to say he doesn't want to hurt anyone who doesn't deserve it, but he quickly jumps to violence as a solution to problems.

Bio:
</p>
<p>
Sid was born in the Inner Kingdom, the second son of a wealthy family that had risen to power alongside Ysanus. As such he was unreasonably well looked after, always having enough to eat, servants, clothing, but mostly ignored by his parents.
</p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
At ten he was given his first bow, with the expectation that at some point he would pull his weight as an officer in the god-kings sacred army. He took to the archery with surprising intensity for a spoiled child, but never did learn any discipline. When he was eighteen things took a turn for the worst in the Inner Kingdom. After a minor revolt Ysanus had grown increasingly reclusive, and his rulings became unpredictable and often violent. Families disappeared overnight, and houses burned. In the streets human sacrifice was performed with supposed traitors taken from wealthy houses, and their blood used to scribe the sign of the Third Eye on public monuments. The god-king's chimeric thralls roamed unchecked, terrorising the increasingly restless crowds into dispersing.
</p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
A year later Sid woke with smoke filling his lungs, and running through his parent's house found holy soldiers in the act of butchering his younger sisters. He ran, escaping through his bedroom window onto the neighboring rooftop, and by sheer luck made it away. The next day his parents and brother were publicly executed as traitors. Whether they were or not he had no idea, but it was now impossible for him to remain in the city. For the next three years he survived as a fugitive in the Outer Kingdom, where knowing how to use a bow was a genuinely useful skill. But the seed of rage within him sprouted, grew monumental. Enraged at himself for running he fantasised constantly about returning, putting an arrow in the royal third eye.

Unusually, even for an Inner Kingdom man Sid has no obvious mutations at all. Though he knows in theory what magic is he doesn't understand it, and has trouble actually believing that it works. He still, somehow, carries the same bow that he took from his room as he fled. This is an heirloom weapon, a real compound bow from Before that was most likely used in competition. Using it he can shoot further and with more power than most archers using inferior new-made weapons, but making arrows that will withstand the draw strength of it and fly straight is a problem. In the last three years he also gained some skill with a knife - being constantly mugged at night for your prize bow will do that for you.
