Still Looking!!! 1x1 romance lightly/mildly based on The Last Of Us game

Ember Spark

Sparky AKA Flint
I have a character I am putting into a few RP's to test him out. I would like to put him in another 'zombie' RP. You dont have to know anything about The Last Of Us. The storyline is basic.

Joel is a single father living in Texas with his twelve-year-old daughter Sarah. In the early hours on his birthday, a sudden outbreak of a mutant

Cordyceps fungus ravages the United States, which changes its human hosts into violent monsters. As Joel, his brother Tommy, and Sarah flee the chaos, Sarah is shot by a soldier and dies in Joel's arms.
In the 20 years that follow, much of civilization is destroyed by the infection, with pockets of survivors living in heavily policed quarantine zones, independent settlements, or nomadic groups. Joel now lives in a quarantine zone in Boston, working as a smuggler alongside his partner, Tess. They hunt down a local gangster, Robert, to recover weapons stolen from them. Before Tess kills him, Robert reveals that he traded them to the Fireflies, an insurgent militia fighting against the authorities governing the quarantine zones. Joel and Tess encounter the Fireflies' leader, Marlene, who promises them double their stolen cache in return for smuggling a teenage girl, Ellie, to Fireflies outside quarantine.

Ellie is revealed to be infected after she, Joel and Tess escape a patrol. Full infection normally occurs in under two days, but Ellie asserts she was infected three weeks ago, and that her immunity may lead to a cure. Fighting toward the drop-off point, they find that the Fireflies there have been killed. Tess reveals she was bitten while they encountered the infected and orders Joel to take Ellie to his estranged brother, Tommy, who used to be a Firefly. Tess sacrifices herself against approaching soldiers to give the pair a chance to escape, believing in Ellie's importance as a cure.

Okay. So as you can tell We wont be playing Joel and Ellie. I will be playing Felix and you will be your own character. My character is 29 so dont make your character 16 or something. That wont be... right. Try and shoot for 20 or older.

Runners are the first stage of the Infected who have recently entered their transformation. Since the eyes are first targeted by the fungus, runners have poor eyesight, but maintain many human instincts. For example, their moans are still human, just like their overall appearance. A way to tell them apart from normal survivors is their lambent red eyes. Their body language is sluggish while they are passive, suggesting they are resisting the fungus's influence. Sometimes they do not attack at all, even when non-infected individuals are right in front of them. These non-aggressive runners will only attack if attacked first or when an object is thrown at or near them, thus losing control. Much like sneezing, the urge to attack after such interactions happens involuntarily and unwillingly by the host. Runners are confirmed to be able to attack in packs flailing their arms trying to trample the survivor.

Stalkers are the second stage of the Infected. They have the vision and speed of Runners. They are hybrids of Clickers and Runners. The most notable physical traits that define the "Stalkers" is the distinct croaking noises they make, the beginning of fungal growths on the head and face, the development of pseudo echolocation, and their discretion when chasing a victim - they will strafe and take cover, eventually closing in on the victim, hence the name "stalker".[2] Stage 2 may take place anywhere between a few days after the start of the infection (Stage 1) and up to a year (Stage 3).

Clickers are the third and most distinctly recognized stage of the Infected. They have had prolonged exposure to the fungus, and now possess strength that significantly surpasses the average human. This makes them deadlier, but at the price of being completely blind due to fungal infection overtaking their face. However, Clickers are able to maneuver through areas by utilizing echolocation, which produces noticeable clicking noises to locate sources of sound.

Clickers appear less human than Runners, with faces that are skewed and scarred by fungus developed from their infected brains. Clickers are dangerous and much more aggressive than Runners, and no longer resist the fungus because their humanity has been eliminated. Interestingly, most of the Clickers seen in the game appear to have been female humans.

Bloaters are the fourth, final, and most dangerous stage of the Infected and are immensely strong. Bloaters take the longest to develop, making them the rarest of the infected. They are covered in thick fungus that effectively doubles as plate armor. Due to this protective covering, they can withstand multiple hits from weapons such as the Shotgun and Hunting Rifle, and even hatchets and machetes making them extremely tough to eliminate. Bloaters are extremely aggressive, but are rather slow-moving causing them to be more predictable than other infected. Like Clickers, Bloaters 'see' using echolocation to locate and trap a survivor as the fungus has completely deformed their face and blinded them, though their echolocation is a lot less refined than the Clickers. If a Bloater grabs a survivor, it will forcefully rip their jaw apart through brute strength. There is no way to defend yourself if grabbed - the result is an instant kill. Bloaters will throw balls of spores from their own body as a weapon, which disperse into a spore cloud on impact. These will eventually damage the health of anyone in the immediate area, even if they are wearing a gas mask. Their spores are not shown to be effectively infectious.

(I do not own The Last Of Us information. Only Felix ^^)

Hi! I'm interested, did you want to sort of recreate the plot with OCs? So with one of our characters immune to the virus?

Yes! Your chara will be immune and my chara will be helping yours get out of the city and to a place where a group of rebels will try and take the immunity from you and make a cure. But in the end they will have to kill you for the cure. And it being a romance ny chara wont let that happen.
