Star emblem is a more traditional five point star than the Star Sapphire usual emblem of an 8 point star.

Bio and Personalty: Michele is the middle of 5 kids, and the only girl of the bunch. Her life was pretty uneventful till last year, when she, her family, and her boyfriend of 5 years were on vacation in Coast City when a Orange Lantern came to claim the Earth as his own. During the fight with the Justice League and other Lanterns, the Orange Lantern caused a lot of damage, which resulted in the death of Michele's boyfriend. In shock of the loss, Michele didn't notice the glowing Violet light until it had settled on her finger. The Star Sapphire Ring, sensing her lost love, crystallized Michele to prepare her to defend love. A few minutes later, she burst forth with the words "follow your heart" ringing in her head and joined the battle against the Orange Lantern. Though she didn't contribute much to the battle, the Justice League took note of her ability despite not having had training. Michele spent the next few months training of the Star Sapphire home world of Zamaron, learning how to channel and protect love. Once she was sent her own way, she returned to Earth, but feeling confused about what she should do. It was then that Wonder Woman, a personal hero of Michele, came to take the young Star Sapphire under her wing. Diana confirmed what Michele thought; that love was not limited to the romantic version everyone spoke about, but had other facets as well. The love for family, for friends, and people in general were as powerful as those for a romantic partner. With a firm vision that all lives that love connects is to be protected, Michele joins the Team with Wonder Woman and Hal Jordon's backing. She hopes to form new bonds of love for her team mates and follow her heart.
Michele is generally a happy, friendly person who enjoys meeting new people. She's funny and enjoys making people laugh. Though she enjoys and respects the power she wields, she does think it can be a bit sappy. A lot of her power comes from her love bonds with her family and friends, bonds forged in steel. Despite her personal loss, she remains hopeful for the future and what it brings. She understands better than most that love is something to be worked at, not to be abandoned when trouble rears its head. While pleasant most of the time, she has no problem confronting people when she has to. Due to the hot headed nature of her brothers, Michele is use to being the "common sense" of a group, so will usually approach situations with due caution and planning. Also due to her brother, she is a gamer and fan art creator.
