Fandom Star Fox: The Lylat Wars

Jedi Sentinel

Truth Seeker
A Star Fox RP based in the later end of the Timeline, post-assault

RPers will primarily take the roles of new members of teams Star Fox and Star wolf as they clash during a new war between Venom and Corneria

It has 5 years since the Aparoid crisis first struck the heart of the Lylat system. Although the combined efforts of the heroic team Star Fox, their perennial rivals team Star Wolf, and the continuous efforts of the Cornerian Military eventually managed to put the cap on the interplanetary scourge and even provided a brief moment of peace for the embattled star system, it was ultimately not to last.

Old wounds still linger from the original Lylat conflict and once again Venom has mustered its forces against Corneria and the Lylat system at large under the guidance of a new leader calling himself General Oliver Saruman. Under Saruman's guidance the New Venomian Army has proven themselves a thorn in Corneria's side and fighting has reached as far in as the Meteo Asteroid field.

However, every cloud has a silver lining, at least for some and business is booming for the Mercenary teams of Star Fox and Star Wolf, which have seen a flood of contracts from both Armies and numerous planetary defense forces, as well as the odd transportation company. The teams have had so much work they've been forced to expand to keep up with the demand, scalping new pilots from the top ranks of any source they can and it's only a matter of time before these rivals clash once more.

Setting-

The Lylat System
is a collection of planets and other celestial bodies that orbit two binary stars. It has long been the home to multiple species and governments and the battleground for many interstellar wars.

Lylat Prime

Star Type: Class B - Blue Giant

Lylat Prime is the large Blue star that dominates the system and from which its name originates. All planets including its sister star Solar orbit this giant celestial body.

1265154.png

Macbeth

Planet Type: Class D - Barren Dwarf

Features: Barren, Largely Uninhabitable

Planet Number: 1 (Lylat Prime)

Macbeth is the first planet in the Lylat system and orbits only Lylat Prime. The planet surprisingly supports a thin but breathable atmosphere despite its close proximity to its host star. Macbeth's central location in the Lylat system has made it an ideal logistics and supply base during war time, once for the Cornerian army and later for Venom during the first Lylat War

Fortuna

Planet Type: Class M - Major Temperate

Features: Terrestrial, multiple biomes with minor polar ice caps and oceans.

Planet Number: 2 (Lylat Prime)

Fortuna's wild and chaotic ecosystem have made it difficult to colonize despite its ideal atmosphere. Many military bases dot the planet but it has yet to develop many major cities. Fortuna has long been the victim of conflict between the Cornerians and Venomiams, often changing government many times throughout a single war.

Katina

Planet Type: Class H - Arid

Features: Mostly barren desert, minor lakes and ice caps

Planet Number: 3 (Lylat Prime)

Katina has long served as Corneria's first colony and military training base. The planet's orbit is close enough to Corneria to be seen from the surface every sixty three years. Katina is also known for its large fungal growths that spread across the surface of the planet for hundreds of miles during autumn months.

Corneria

Planet Type: Class M - Balanced

Features: Terrestrial, multiple biomes with standard polar ice caps and large oceans.

Planet Number: 4 (Lylat Prime)

Corneria was the one of the first inhabited planets of the Lylat system and is believed to be the origin of the Cornerian peoples. A fully developed and civilized world, Corniera is largely commercial with minor industrial activity. It is the center of government and military for the Cornerian Army and a prime target for her enemies.

2157899.png

Sauria

Planet Type: Class M - Major Tropical

Features: Terrestrial, multiple biomes with standard polar ice caps and large oceans.

Planet Number: 4 (Vulcan orbit with Corneria)

Sauria shares a vulcan orbit with Corneria, rotating around Lylat Prime at the same rate and direct opposite side of the star. It is likely this orbit is what keeps Katina from colliding into Corneria despite their close proximity. Sauria is rich in flora and fauna but its lack of resources and vicious natives have made it a somewhat ignored target throughout the history of the Lylat System. After the Saurian incident the dominant Sharpclaw Tribes briefly entered an alliance with the Cornerian Army, though lately an increasing number of them have been breaking off to form pirate fleets and raiding parties that have put a strain on the relationship between the two planets. Some have become understandably concerned that these new troubles could give the Venomian forces and entry point into the inner Lylat orbit, or worse, a new ally.

5641975.png

Meteo

Asteroid Field Type: Class C

Meteo is a rare Class C Asteroid Field: its contents are dangerously close to each other and make navigation extremely difficult. Many ships prefer to go over or under the belt, though a fleet that can sneak through the hazards can catch nearby planets and fleets off guard.

3157807.png

Fichina

Planet Type: Class P - Glaciated

Features: Mostly tundra and frozen land. Very few uncovered liquid oceans.

Planet Number: 5 (Lylat Prime)

Though Fichina is mostly barren and not suitable for colonization, it has long served as a deposit for many Cornerian research projects, notably bomb development. Many military outposts dot the vast surface of the planet as well, making it an ideal location for refueling Cornerian fighter craft during war time.

2492685.png

Aquas

Planet Type: Class O - Pelagic

Features: Ocean dominate, no land masses.

Planet Number: 6 (Lylat Prime)

Long before the Cornerians became a developed and space faring people an ancient and technologically advanced civilization of amphibians thrived on the planet of Aquas. It is unknown what led to the demise of their people, though surviving members claim they were destroyed in a war centuries prior. The survivors have long worked on Aquas to rediscover their ancient technology with the help of the Cornerian Army.

485334.png

Papetoon

Planet Type: Class K - Arid Terraformed

Features: Barren, minor deserts.

Planet Number: 7 (Lylat Prime)

Originally an uninhabitable and barren rock with no atmosphere, Papetoon underwent minor terraforming but was later abandoned because of the planet's lack of resources and small size. Since then it has hosted very small colonies that have carved out a meager living on the harsh outback surface. Imported plant and animal life have already begun spreading slowly across its surface.

6642915.png

Solar

Star Type: Class M - Red Dwarf

Solar is the sister star of Lylat Prime. Significantly smaller and cooler, the temeratures of Solar are low enough for land masses to have formed. This has caused debate amongst the astronomers of Coneria on whether to classify Solar as a star or planet, though many prefer to define it as a star because of its gravitational effects on several planets in the Lylat System.

7569774.png

Sargasso Region

Asteroid Field Type: Class B

The Sargasso Region is a sparse asteroid field that orbits Solar. It is composed of the remains of the planet Eladard which was destroyed by Venom mining operations. Many sensor disrupting gasses from Solar become trapped in the Sargasso Region after solar flares, making it an ideal hideout for various pirate and raider bases.

4295393.png

Titania

Planet Type: Class H - Arid

Features: Major deserts, no ice caps or bodies of water

Planet Number: 8 (Lylat Prime) 1 (Solar)

Titania is a massive and barren desert planet that has served as a military base and bio weapon development center for Venom. The planet is distant enough from Lylat Prime to be effected by Solar, orbiting both stars. Titania passes very close to both Solar and Lylat Prime twice in its orbit, forcing most life to retreat underground during these periods.

8274709.png

Zoness

Planet Type: Class O - Pelagic

Features: Toxic ocean dominant, minor land masses.

Planet Number: 9 (Lylat Prime) 2 (Solar)

Zoness was once a beautiful and completely habitable ocean planet that served as a waste disposal dump for the Cornerian Army. After Venom's takeover of the planet Zoness and the destruction of Eladard it became their chemical production and waste dump as well. The planet's atmosphere and oceans are now lethally toxic to most life, save for the few lifeforms that adapted to the horrid and corrosive waters.

3987872.png

Venom

Planet Type: Class Y - Demon

Features: Toxic atmosphere, balanced land and ocean masses.

Planet Number: 10 (Lylat Prime) 3 (Solar)

Venom was once a barren but habitable planet at the edge of the Lylat system until Andross experimented with terraforming the planet. Unfortunately his developments damaged the planet further, killing off many of its inhabitants. Promising to the save the local reptilian populations, Andross struck an alliance and the planet developed into a major industrial center, a trait it retains to this day.

5403379.png

Sector X

Nebula Type: Class X - Xenon Gas

Sector X is part of the large gaseous ring at the very edge of the Lylat System. The orbit of Solar around Lylat Prime occasionally brings the majority of Sector X near Fichina and Titania. Sector X has a tendency to cause electromagnetic disturbances and messes with scanning devices, making it an idea location to hide fleets and even entire bases from enemies.

2607878.png

Sector Y

Nebula Type: Class Y - Chlorine and other Noble Gases

Sector Y is part of the large gaseous ring at the very edge of the Lylat System. The orbit of Solar around Lylat Prime occasionally brings Sector Y close to Corneria, Katina, and Aquas. There is nothing really notable about Sector Y as its gases have little to no effect on ships passing through. Corneria occasionally uses Sector Y as a staging area for its fleets depending on its distance from enemy targets.

3152171.png

Sector Z

Nebula Type: Class Z - Neon and other Noble Gases

Sector Z is part of the large gaseous ring at the very edge of the Lylat System. The orbit of Solar around Lylat Prime occasionally brings Sector Z close to Zoness and Venom. Venom once used Sector Z as a staging area for their fleets and it currently houses a forward base of operations for their resurgent forces.

Hi there! I saw this and I'm quite interested in it. Is there any criteria needed for involvement?
