Describing Reina just may be the hardest thing to do. The easiest description to begin with would be how brave and selfless she is. She will always put those she loves and cares about first before thinking of her own well-being. She’s almost never selfish, unless she doesn’t care about you then yeah she’s a selfish ass hole. She actually has about three different sides to her, all thanks to her bipolar disorder and being a spirit user. To numb these effects, she’s always drinking and smoking. To her, it seems to work. The happy side is a little too happy. She’s overly optimistic and excited quite frequently. Reina becomes the most outgoing person you can think of, wanting to befriend everyone she comes in contact with. At moments like these, her judgement of people isn’t all that good.


The neutral side of her is more common to witness. When she’s like this she’s more chill and laid back. Her cockiness and impulsive behavior is more prominent, as well as her rebellious ways. This is the Reina that everyone loves and can stand being around. She’s loving, but doesn’t show it for fear of people using it as a weakness against her. She’s also not shy of using sarcasm, mostly at the most inappropriate of moments. Reina is also very alluring and flirtatious, never wasting an opportunity to “get close” to someone she deems worthy.


The low side she feels are the worst. She can become depressed and angry and start hating everyone and thing around her. This is when she begins to have self-doubt and loathe her very own existence. This feelings can last for weeks at a time and during this time, she won’t eat or get out of bed. She becomes this mean person who doesn’t care about anyone else's feelings. In shorter terms, she becomes a vindictive bitch.

Lyla has been described as a little all over the place. When she was a little younger, everyone thought she would specialize in fire, considering her fiery personality. Lyla went through times where she would withdraw from everyone, but it seemed that those times never lasted long and no one really thought much about them. She's not afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right, but on the same token, she hates hurting peoples feelings. She's honest to a fault, but she's that type of honest where she doesn't wanna see you hurt. She's incredibly empathetic, to the point where she literally feels what someone near her is feeling.

Her bipolar disorder was discovered around the same time people realized that she had specialized, but not in one of the main four elements. She tried medication for about a week or two before refusing to take it anymore. Her main ability is influencing the feelings of those around her, but the downfall is that she takes their feelings into her own body and mind. She doesn't want to not be able to do that, or make others feel better, hence why she refused the medication. She deals with the mood swings. It's hard to deal with her own mental disorder as well as dealing with everyone elses emotions, but she manages with a little help.

Roje is a short-tempered woman. Say one thing wrong and she will flip out on you. Maybe even kick your ass for it. She takes no shit from anyone and doesnt care of the concequences. Even with that said, she's stubborn and will stand her ground till she can no longer do so. She's a smartass and loves to make her own jokes. However, this is just the outside shell she uses to protect what is within. If you are best friends with her, then you already know that she is nice, and she can be soft/kind when she feels like it. Roje could be funny and silly and a lot more open. When you're a stranger, you're gonna have to deal with her outer shell before getting to the mushiness inside. Romantically, she is a lot softer and a lot more giggly. Treating the one she loves with respect. Though if someone is trying to get all up on her, she will break their face. Aidan is the total opposite of his sister, Reina. While she’s three different people, he’s just the one. While he seems like the type of person who’s hard on the outside, he’s an absolute softie who yearns for love. But, being a dhampir, he feels like he has to be a badass 24/7. He’s always one you can feel comfortable around, no matter the situation. He has ways of making you feel included when you feel excluded. But this perfect boy has some issues; or rather had.

At one point, he was shadow kissed with Reina and felt everything she did. It took quite a toll on him, to the point where he tried to kill himself. It was a failed attempt and when he came to, it was discovered that their bond was broken. His mind is still sometimes plagued with those thoughts but now he lives his life to the fullest. He’s almost as impulsive as his sister and just as unselfish.

When it comes to relationships,while he wants one, he doesn’t know how to go about them. Therefore, he settles for what he does know and just sleeps with them. Aidan is a bit of a man whore, but no one really minds. At least he’s smart about it. He can come off as an asshole to some of these girls but that’s only because he doesn’t want to date any of them.

He and Reina have the same unfaithful Moroi father who got Reina’s Moroi mother pregnant and Aidan’s dhampir mother pregnant around the same time. Aidan is older by a month. ​

Nathan is a flirt from time to time, but he really is a dick. Not to mention sarcastic and a heartbreaker. Some people try to see if there is another light in him that they cant see but he hides it so well, sometimes they begin to believe that he does not have one. Nathan is somewhat a player, hopping from one girl to the next, not being faithful to them or fair. He more or less uses them and tosses them away whenever he's done. He hangs out around school, ditches classes, things like that. Nathan is definitely a bad boy that probably many girls want -and get for a limited time- and cannot get. However he is one to chase hard-to-get women and love the chase. Those are the girls he lives for! The only time you'll really see him genuine with things is when he actually cares. Getting worried, over thinking situations. Hell, even getting frustrated or nervous.

Misaki: Misaki was gifted with the affinity for earth. Making the ground move now and then isn't hard but takes concentration. She's still learning how to use the affinity.

Minako: Minako was gifted with the affinity for water. Making small water tendrils come up a few feet of water is what she can do for now but she's still learning.

Personality:
Misaki and Minako are alike and unalike at the same time. Misaki comes off as a standoffish and stoic while Minako comes off as bubbly and friendly. In reality, its the opposite. Misaki is the one that is friendly and bubbly but she has trouble with speaking with people and being near them. Minako becomes the face for them when Misaki can't talk and easily slips in and out of the mask with her twin. She terribly hates those that would try to take her twin away from her and Misaki is the same.

They have this odd quirk of having crimson butterflies appearing at odd times. Sometimes its while in class or during sleep. They have no control when the butterflies appear but the butterflies only come in 4-5 and have no abilities that they have seen.

Personality:
Roman has always been a gentle and welcoming soul that was born with a strong protective instinct, it probably stems from being the oldest with 3 younger moroi half sisters. Unlike most dhampirs that grow up in the care of their human/dhampir parent, Roman was actually raised by his moroi mother which will explain his strong nurturing nature. Besides his teddy bear like attitude, he can turn into quite a monster when in battle. Roman takes his job seriously and will put his life on the line to protect those important to them. Being 6'4" with a muscled physique has been known to scare people off and they mistake his relaxed demeanor as intimidating, his usually blunt honesty doesn't help at all when proving to others that he means no harm. He's an all-around fun loving guy that just wants to make the world a safer place for his family.

Cade lost his mother when he was just a baby, but he was raised by his aunt and uncle (and cousins), so he still had that female influence in his life. He's a big flirt, and a little pushy sometimes, but he would never force a woman to do something they don't want to do. Thanks to his aunt, he's got enough respect to not be that way. His mother was human, and his father vampire, making him the dhampir he is, but since he doesn't know either of them, he has his other family members to thank for who he is. He doesn't have any siblings, but his aunt and uncle had three boys and two girls between them. He was the youngest boy, but older than both girls.

His family never looked down on him for what he is, but when he got old enough to be able to physically harm the boys just playing around, they knew it was time to send him somewhere where he could get the proper training he needed. He loves being around women, and is a sucker for women with a personality. He likes fast cars and the ability to do what he wants, when he wants. He respects authority to it's face, although don't be surprised if you turn your back and he does the opposite of what he'd said, especially if he thinks its for the greater good.

Obstacles aren't obstructions, they're just opportunities he hasn't fully figured out. Anatoly likes people in general. Moroi, Dhampirs and humans alike don't seem to get different treatment. Neither do girls vs. boys. Friends and foes rise and fall on the basis of what they say and do, not because of who they are.

The son of a prominent Moroi industrialist, Anatoly practically grew up at a privileged boarding school in London. There isn't a drop of royal blood anywhere in his lineage but his family commands the other kind of attention; money. Anatoly himself grew up with a great deal of business exposure, encouraged by his parents to look for investment and capital realization opportunities.
It's something of a mystery why he turned up at St. Vladimir's Academy in America two years ago. Rumor has it that his parents have disappeared, either killed by Strigoi or possibly turned into Strigoi. Certainly the Ivanov's business interests appear to have moved on to other owners, suggesting his family's divested themselves in some way for unknown reasons.

But for the most part, she's content to blend into the background and be underestimated. Beneath her withdrawn exterior lies a fiercely competitive spirit, a passion for performance and a driving desire to achieve her purpose in life.
Dhampirs are welcome friends and beloved rivals, literally the only people in her life able to perform at her level and therefore able to inspire her to perform better. Moroi are...uncomfortable, for she didn't grow up with them, still finds their need for blood somewhat abhorrent, and she's intimidated at the prospect of measuring up to be worthy of guarding one. Unspoken is her silent concern that her eventual Moroi charge won't be worthy of her.

Jia has no idea who her father is. When her mother died in child birth, she was raised with her aunt's family in Hebei, China, and eventually adopted. From an early age, she showed tremendous physicality, learning ballet and Wu Shu with equal grace. Her family considered her blessed as she won competitions and outperformed everyone she met. It wasn't until she performed in an IWF fight in Europe that she came to the attention of the Guardians, who often screened sports and competitive events for 'lost eggs' like herself that slipped through the cracks. After being tested for her metabolism and heightened senses, a mentor named Kris Blengraad took her under his wing and convinced her where her real allegiance lay.
Jia now studies in the United States, apparently gaining an education at a fine private American school as far as her family in China is concerned.

PERSONALITY

Kira Marie Shirogane. Where do I begin? Shiro definitely lives up to the meanings of her name. Her calling means "Samurai male," to which she definitely relates to, despite it being a masculine name. (The Samurai, well-disciplined and highly trained warriors, were typically stoic in nature, and had a code of conduct valuing loyalty, compassion, courage, veracity, and honor.)

Shiro is very quiet and stoic. A woman of few words with a natural resting face that can make a fully grown man wet himself with one glance. When she does speak, it is usually a snide comment or fact, usually meant to insult someone.

However, Shiro is incredibly nice to those she cares about. Around them, she transforms into a more kindred spirit who is more open to having fun, and wouldn't dare think of insulting them in the slightest. She loosens up, and actually has the ability to see any part of the bright side.

This being said, Shiro is INCREDIBLY protective of her group and those she loves. If anything threatens them, she will turn into a mother bear of sorts. Very protective and harsh towards said threat, and potentially very violent. As much as she dislikes having to do it, Shiro is okay with killing someone. In this world, it's either you or her, and she would rather not die. If she feels the need to, she will eliminate you and neutralize any threat you pose. She is not bothered by blood, and is trained and masterful in several martial arts and weapons. It is easy for her to completely turn off her humanity or emotions if the need arises for her to do just that. This, in turn, makes her an ideal candidate for an assassin or punisher.

Being a former ambassador of sorts between her family and their rivals, Shiro is naturally very diplomatic. She maintains an aura of professionalism at all times, and is an expert at planning and solving problems. She is fair and takes both stories into account, weighing each carefully. Because of this, she is usually asked to stand as a peacemaker for when disputes take place.

One other value that Shiro holds is resourcefulness. She uses the bare minimum to get jobs done, and consumes only the resources she absolutely needs. She knows how hard it can be to find usable rations and other resources in the field, so she tries to conserve them and make what she has go as far as possible. This need to conserve sometimes drives her to not eat or drink anything for days on end, resulting in severe dehydration on occasion.

If need be, her selflessness can jeopardize her life. She puts everyone above her, and is willing to kill, torture, give up everything she had, or take a bite from a strogoi if that means protecting those that she loves or keeping them alive for as long as she can.

As a result of her past, Shiro is usually not the happiest around at any time. Sure, her life was decent before. But then the world turned to shit. Her brother was the first to go, then her parents. Their deaths have taken a toll on her, and she believes that she does not deserve happiness.

She can be easily angered, and her sarcastic and snappy personality comes out full fledged if you irritate her. She lashes out a bit, the severity depending on her current mood. But other times, she doesn't want to move. She doesn't run, doesn't walk, she won't even speak because her sorrow crumbles her to the finest dust.

Children and young adults are her weak points. When she sees one, she thinks of her late brother and how she failed to protect her. Because of this, she will protect any innocent, because seeing them die in front of her is something that will haunt her, as she will only be able to see her brother's and parents' deaths in her mind. And she will feel the same crippling guilt she has since the beginning.

BACKGROUND

Born to a Guardian male and a Moroi female of wealth, Shiro had a good life. She had everything she ever wanted during her childhood, and more.

When she joined high school, she began to hang out with the wrong crowd. Her clothing went from blues to blacks, and pearls were traded for chains. She did some pretty dumb things, which ended up in her being nearly arrested.

Seeing what she was becoming, the female centered her attitude. She focused even more on her studies, and os now on the fast track to graduating at the top of her class. She plans on going through her graduating tests easily, passing with flying colors.

However, her life soon changed, taking a turn for the worse, and Shiro lost almost everything. She gained word from her brother's charge that he had been lost to a Strigoi during an attack. And, soon after, that her parents had willingly become Strigoi to escape their grief.

Leaving with Guren, her husky, she began to travel on her own. Unfortunately, she had to save her name. And, because of this need, she drove herself to find her undead relatives. It almost killed her to do it, but she had to end their lives. They were no longer human.

After that, she returned to make alliances with other Guardians. Finding her name not fitting of her new strigoi-slaying self, she shortened her last name and became known as Shiro, meaning Samurai.

Using her prior and current knowledge, Shiro now awaits her new charge as she helps guard the academy and the students that attend.

However, she will not lose sight of what is important. Survival. And she'll be damned if she dies. ​
