This Clan, though small in numbers, lives amongst Soul Trees, traveling from place-to-place in the Forests and Jungles of Pandora. Going wherever Eywa guides them. The take the Three Laws of Eywa very seriously and live a minimalist life-style. They also prefer to live a vegetarian diet, gathering fruits and plants, though they do consume Teylu. Because of the Na'vi's believes that Eywa created all things, plants, themselves and animals, they forbid their clan from killing animals to eat, though they can in defense. They also forbid Humans and their Avatars from approaching Soul Tree Sites and will not hesitate to put an arrow or knife into someone.
The members of this Unknown Clan are proficient riders of the Forest Banshee. These Clan members are lighter in their bone structure, giving them the ability to ride their Forest Banshees without trouble or hindering their mounts. They are skilled gatherers and can move in near silence through the Forests / Jungles.
Members are also skilled at weaving clothing and gathering baskets.
Overall, they are a peaceful clan that prefer to avoid war and fighting at all costs. They also tend to make clothing and headwear that match the color of the trendils of the Soul Tree.
Only the Olo'Eyktan wear the Cummerbund of this Uknown Clan.

Clan Totem Animal: Forest Banshee

Rites of Passage:
When birthed, the children's mother's travel to the Tree of Souls location and instantly connect their baby's Queue to the tree then travel back to the clan on their Forest Banshee. They discover their Spirit Animal when their Queue's are bonded with the tredils.

When the child turns sixteen, they must pass their own version of Iknimaya, choosing and bonding with a Forest Banshee (the smaller cousin of the Mountain Banshee). When completing their Iknimaya, the Na'vi is sent off on a journey to collect a Woodsprite and bring it back to the clan. Only then are they considered adults when they can complete their Rites of Passage and are allowed free speech.

Every Na'vi on the moon of Pandora worshiped Eywa. Some simply more then others. But there was one clan who lived and guarded the Soul Tree Sites that the Humans were destroying for the Unobtanium in the ground. This Clan lived by the Three Laws of Eywa and took their duties to her very seriously. They lived a minimalist life style. They even lived a vegetarian lifestyle, refusing to kill the creatures and animals upon Pandora, since they are also Eywa's creations. Though they did consume Teylu on occasion.

This Unknown Clan is a peaceful Clan and avoided confrontation at all costs. The Chieftan and his mate, Karu, banned Humans and even their Avatars from Soul Tree Sites and didn't hesitate to kill intruders from Earth. Oftentimes Tomak, the clan's Olo'Eyktan, would lead raids against the Humans and their mining machines. Attacking upon their Forest Ikrans and using Direhorses. They were swift but brutal attacks, but they were effective.

The clan was few in numbers but they all kept watch over each other and were happy living amongst the trees, listening to Eywa. The clan consisted of skilled gatherers and weavers. Only Tomak was allowed to wear the Cummerbund around his midsection. His middle Daughter, Taya, would soon be completing her last Rite of Passage. To Bond with a Forest Banshee, then be sent off to bring home a Woodsprite. It would be a long and hard journey, as Woodsprites could be quite illusive when they wanted to be.

They had a fourth child on the way. When ready to arrive in the world, Karu would travel to the Tree of Souls and connect the baby's Queue to the pink tredils of the tree. That was the Na'vi child's first Rite of Passage. Once the initial Bond was complete, Karu and the newborn would travel back to the clan on her Forest Banshee.

This Unknown Clan were the only ones known so far to be able to ride the lightweight Forest Banshees. The clan had lighter bone structure's, much like birds. Though they were still strong. The Forest Banshee is this clan's Totem Animal. This Clan had high respect for the Forest Banshees, as they were their means of traveling great distances through the forests of Pandora. Going from Soul Tree to Soul Tree Site.

Rylu yelled happily, running into thick grass. Many Fan Lizards suddenly appeared, whizzing around. Besides being her Spirit Animal, the Fan Lizards were her favorite animal on Pandora. Being only ten, she was to young to form a Bond with her own Forest Banshee, unlike her older sister, Taya, who would soon be going to a nookery where the Forest Banshee nested and lived. She watched happily as the Fan Lizards whirled about, chirping. She tried to catch one, but they were quick moving when in the air.

"Ha!" She cried, nearly managing to touch one as it quickly spun away from her outstretched finger.

The clan was often moving about from one Soul Tree site to another. The adults were ready for battle at all times. Especially Ketuik. Ketuik worked hard to make sure no Na’vi or wild creature disrespected the Soul trees. He loved every second of protecting Eywa’s creations and he loved every second of destroying humans.

Virhen’s rites of passage were nearing. He laughed off every challenge he was supposed to accomplish. The rites of passage were simply a formality, and Virhen believed it would be easy.

Virhen was out leading his own small group of young Na’vi around his age. They were scavenging for fruit and vegetables. He always led them expertly, his memory was amazing when it came to the vast landscape of every soul tree site they visited. He lead the group every time with stories of other clans that did things different. Today’s story was about the ocean Na’vi and the great Akula hunter.

Meanwhile, Inirhäi was atop a tall tree. He had a small creature cradled in his arms. It was a newborn Riti (stingbat). Just moments ago he found it attached to the branch of the tree with no intentions of letting go. It didn’t look harmed but it was smaller than most Ritis at that age. Inirhäi knew that, because he often watched them from afar. Without any other stingbats in sight he kept the small thing warm. Inirhäi made sure that its stinger was kept away from him, and he scaled down the tree with just two swift jumps. Just a short distance away he heard a “ha!” Being exclaimed. It took Inirhäi a moment to convince himself to go towards it. The sound led him to a more open grass area.

His big yellow eyes followed the fan lizards that swirled in this direction and that. He looked back down at the clasping hands, not at all surprised to see Rylu, the Olo’Ektan and Tsahik’s daughter. “You have a better chance at them landing on your head than doing it that way,” Inirhäi stood just beside a tree.

Hearing the new voice, Rylu looked over at who had appeared. It was Inirhai. "Very funny." She stuck her tongue out at him and flicked her tail. "Where did you find that?" She wondered, wandering over to Inirhai to see what he was holding in his arms. She blinked when saw what it was. "Wait that's...Are you going to actually keep that thing?" She breathed, taking a small step back. Stingbacks weren't known to be the smartest creatures of their world. The Riti kept flying to Human enclosures and getting shot up.

Her sister, Taya, who was sixteen, would soon be completing her Rite of Passage at that age. Rylu was envious of Taya. She wanted her own Forest Banshee but wasn't of age yet. After all, she was only ten. Too young to wrestle with one of the creatures. In fact, Taya was out meditating. A common practice among their clan. They connected their Queue's to the trendils of the Soul Trees and simply sat with Eywa, their eyes closed. Sometimes she showed them something, most often she was silent.

Rylu had always liked Inirhai, who was a year older then she was. Rylu's mother would be having her fourth child soon. Which meant traveling to the Tree of Souls and having the baby with Eywa. A Na'vi child of this clan was instantly connected to Eywa. When born and after performing the Bond, Karu would travel back with the newborn on her own Forest Banshee.

She looked down at the tiny Stingbat, not sure what to make of it. While she wasn't afraid of Stingbats, they weren't one of her favorite animals. Usually foul temperate and not the smartest of creatures.

Inirhäi’s chest rumbled with a chuckle. His tongue slipped out just the same as hers. He was always seen with a small animal. It was usual for him. Even Ketuik couldn’t stop him.

“The Riti got lost,” Inirhäi knew that it would be nearly impossible to find the right Riti pack. There were many around and based on the Riti’s age Inirhäi was sure that it was abandoned.

His eyes looked at her with a dull expression. His head tilted off to the side, strands of his hair fell in front of his face piece by piece. Inirhäi cared a lot about animals. It was just a baby and if he didn’t keep it..who else would? “Until it’s big,” Inirhäi shrugged his little shoulders and his ear wiggled gently. “When it can survive on its own,” he continued, he knew that would take some time. But, he was more than willing to take care of the Riti himself.

Inirhäi turned his back to Rylu and he walked back towards the nearby soul tree, where they settled for now. “It’s getting dark.” Inirhäi did like Rylu, but Virhen often told him to stay away from her. Because Virhen liked Taya and he didn’t want his younger brother embarrassing him.

Viren’s group of gatherers were heading back as well. Their eruption of laughter could be heard from nearby. And then, it was quickly hushed down. “skxawngs…(idiots)” Inirhäi rolled his eyes and he continued to walk on. Kenlì was practicing her healing rituals. By now, she knew them all by heart and she could sense it would really help.

"'Bye." She called after him and departed. Animals were scared to this clan. After all, Eywa had created them. Though the clan did on occasion, consume Teylu. Mostly they ate Teylu on special and rare occasions.

Taya had returned from her Meditation. The lead family of the Clan chose fruits to eat for their dinner. Taya was more then happy to not eat or kill animals for food. They only killed as a last resort, being a peaceful clan. After all, Eywa provided. Eywa will provide. A phrase that all Na'vi lived by.

They all greeted each other as others of the clan arrived for their community meal. From an early age they learned what fruits and other plants were edible, and which ones were not. They also learned how to tell and harvest the ripest fruits and plants. Tomak and Karu's eldest, Charuk, was a very skilled gatherer and took his duties and role in the clan very seriously.

Rylu found Inirhai and sat down next to him. Enjoying the glow of the Soul Trees trendils. She felt safe among them.

"How is it?" She wondered in an undertone as she bit into juicy fruit.

Inirhäi made it to the Soul Tree just before dinner. He walked on the outskirts of their small camp, keeping his newfound Riti away from prying eyes. Stealthily, he moved to his grass bed and he laid the sleeping Riti on his bed. He used small fibers to cover the Riti’s stinger and he wrapped it around its tail securely as it slept. Their stingers were small at this age, but the venom was just as deadly.

When dinner came Inirhäi covered the Riti and he rushed to the groups that formed. Virhen and his groups had already carried in their baskets of gathered fruit. Inirhäi sat to eat his fruit with his eldest sister Kenlì. His head tilted over to Rylu and he greeted her with a smile. “It’s okay,” Inirhäi mentioned, hoping that she wouldn’t mention the Riti explicitly.

“Rylu, is it true that a pack of humans are nearby?” Inirhäi heard that rumor going around earlier in the morning. He thought that Rylu would have known more about the situation because of her parents.

Virhen stomped down in front of Taya. He sat down next to her and with a smile on his face he looked at her. “Ngeyä tìlor, (your beauty) Taya. I will yora’ (win) your txe’lan. (heart)” he spoke confidently and just loud enough so that only she would hear.

They’d be doing the Rites of Passage at the same time. But a few other would be also. Virhen was now in the phase of wanting to find his life mate. Just last month he had a fascination with a different na’vi.

Having just bit into her fruit, Rylu swallowed slowly, wiping away the juice that had dripped down her chin, twitching her ears. She shook her head, shrugging a little. "I don't know." She answered honestly, not having heard. Being only ten, her mother and father kept her innocence. Especially when it came to the humans and their avatars. They forbid any human and their avatars from their Soul Trees. Humans were the destructive kind, trying to strip their world of all Eywa had created for their own gain.

Hearing this, Taya looked over at Virhen, who was the same age as herself. She flicked the tip of her tail and ears in annoyance. The entire clan knew what he was like. "Skxawng (moron)." She said so that only he could hear this and bared her sharp teeth at him.

"Having problems here?" This came from the eldest child of Tomak and Karu. Their one and only son so far, Charuk. He was the complete opposite of Virhen. He took his duties seriously and would be the next Olo'Eyktan of the clan. He had been given the choice to select his own Tsahik, something of which he was considering carefully. In his mind, she would have to be at one with Eywa.

Taya smiled and shook her head. "No Brother." She told him softly. She placed a hand on his knee assumingly. "It's okay." Her brother was very protective of his younger sisters and the clan and Soul Trees in general.

Rylu finished her fruit and had a worried look in her eyes. She would have to ask her mother and father of this disturbing news. The entire clan would have to battle if humans got too close. And though the clan preferred to avoid battle, they made sure that everyone who could was well-skilled for it.

“You don’t believe so?” Virhen asked with his arm leaned on the ground, his other hand held a small leaf basket that carried berries. The way she barred her teeth made him smile even more at him, a charming and relaxed grin.

When Charuk stepped to them he looked over with the same smile. He didn’t care that Charuk was his elder, or that he was to become Olo’Eyktan.

Virhen did take his responsibilities seriously. And he did them well. But he always had his complaints and questions. He, unlike many of the other Na’vi in this clan, wanted to explore different ways of life. He was most likely to start a rebellion out of them all. “Charuk, brother, what problems would I cause?”

Inirhäi lowered his ears and he leaned over to Rylu’s ear. “Eyleywok said there was human machines on the last battle ground,” Inirhäi heard those rumors being whispered around the clan.

“Inirhäi,“ Kenlì bumped her knee against his and she wrapped her arm around his shoulder. Inirhäi was horrible at whispering. “Don’t let humans occupy your mind. They’re for us to handle,” Kenlì pulled Inirhäi close and to a side hug. They were very close, like most siblings.

Humans...Humans were obsessed with machines. From the tiniest to the largest. They had stripped their world clean and were now working their way across Pandora. Only the Na'vi knew and understood their world. Some Na'vi more then others.

This rumor of Humans nearby troubled Rylu as she sat with Inirhai. Why couldn't Humans understand that their was value in simply living and understanding their world around them? To co-exist. Rylu turned her troubled gaze to the stars. That's where the Humans had come from. That's why they were called Sky People. Because they traveled from the stars from a planet far away called Earth. Initially, they had come as explorers, deceiving the Na'vi of their true intentions.

While Humans wanted to understand everything, they were scared of what they didn't and acted with fear and violence. They were so confusing! Rylu frowned, not sure what to make of this news. Except that it was troubling. "I'll...See you later. Goodbye Kenli." She stood and made her way to her family, seeing Virhen, she sat on the other side of her older Brother, Charuk.

"...You know exactly what kind of trouble." He was saying as she joined him and her sister, Taya.

Virhen huffed out a few words that were nearly inaudible. He smile slowly dropped and his posture straightened. “In fact, I don’t,” Virhen responded to Charuk. Charuk was nosy…he wouldn’t ever let him speak to Taya without him butting in. He was too overbearing. “Never mind, Taya,” Virhen swiftly jumped to his feet just as Rylu came. He walked past Charuk, and on to another na’vi around his age. Many of the others who were soon to complete their Rites of Passage were also looking for mates. Many of them were scrambling because their clan was small not everyone would be able to pick a mate so soon. Virhen, didn’t want to be like his sister at her age. Kenlì didn’t have a mate yet, and she wasn’t desperate about it at all.

After dinner Inirhäi ran back to his grass bed. He checked on the small Riti. It was still asleep. He had saved a small pouch of berries for the small thing. It wasn’t particularly hostile, the only thing he had to worry about was the stinger, but he already covered it.

Virhen was already at his grass bed when Inirhäi had arrived. “What’s do you have there, skxawng (idiot)?”

Inirhäi would cover the Riti back up with the speed of light. His big yellow eyes looked at his brother innocently. With a head shake, Virhen laughed quietly. He already knew that his young brother liked creatures. He would take care of a baby Thanator if he could find one. “Ketuik is going to have you for wutso. (dinner)”

“Don’t tell him,” Inirhäi whispered on, and they spoke until most na’vi were at their grass beds or hammocks. Kenlì and Ketuik were the only ones out of their small family that weren’t in bed. Ketuik kept guard loyaly and Kenlì collected certain plants she needed for her rituals. But, she wasn’t far at all.

Name: Ina
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Species: Forest Na'vi
Height: 9' 19"
Clan: Unknown
Rank: Gatherer
Personality: Quiet, Intelligent, Observant, Loyal, Kind, Protective
Spirit Animal: Forest Banshee
Personal Story: Ina is one of the most beautiful of the clan and seems to have captured Charuk's attentions. She takes Eywa very seriously and even appears to have strange abilities that no one else does. Charuk feels she would be the perfect (next) Tsahik. Ina and Taya often Meditate with Eywa together. She is a skilled Gatherer of the clan and worships the Animals, especially the Forest Ikran. The Forest Ikran is the most common Spirit Animal amongst them due to their ability to ride them. Ina also has one of the most beautiful Forest Banshees of the clan.
Forest Ikran / Banshee:
Name: Lo'a
cba09d2ca6febf37578741e978fa5898311474f5_hq.jpg

Like Inirhai, Ina had also heard the rumors of Humans nearby. It worried her. Slowly Ina exhaled. Often times Ina was one of the Na'vi that stood guard through the night. She liked the peace and quiet it gave her. In her hands was a very ornate staff. It was her own that she had made, and it was decorated to match colors of her Irkan, that she had named Lo'a. Her Forest Ikran, she cherished with her life. So far, this clan was the only one that could ride the Forest Banshee because their bone structure was different from all other Na'vi. Their bones were light but strong. Just like a bird's on Earth. Not all Na'vi named their Ikran of course. It was a personal choice to do so. Even the clan's Totem Animal was the Forest Banshee. It was also a very common Spirit Animal amongst the small clan. This clan used their Forest Banshee to travel easily long distances through the Forests from location-to-location.

With the Humans close by, they would be staying at this location until Eywa determined it was safe. At least for a while. Their Olo'Eyktan (Clan Leader), often lead raids against the Humans. Killing them and destroying their machinery. Eywa's first Law afterall, was not to mine for materials in the ground. Ina held great respect for their clan's leaders and admired their eldest son, Charuk. She doubted whether or not he admired her in return. Charuk was very level-headed.

As the Na'vi of the clan were tucking themselves in, some making grass beds, others finding a comfortable root to rest against, or simply using the base of a tree, Ina made her patrol around the perimeter. Her eyes scanning the surroundings in case of danger from the Animals or Humans. She could see smoke from the distance in horizons. She flicked her tail in distaste. As long as the Humans and their precious machines didn't come any closer. She tightened her grip around her staff. The crystal glowed softly like a light, allowing her to see better.

Name: Mason Rodriguez

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Height: 11’11

Clan/Species: Human

Rank: Avatar Driver

Personality: Determined, quick-witted, decisive, vigilant

Background: Mason was hired by the RDA to be an Avatar Driver. After years of training and developing mental and physical strength he was determined to be one of the best picks. He is one of a few soldiers that have their own avatar and can freely use it to move around their base and just beyond it. He has learned about Na’vi culture and he mostly understands their language. But he has yet to interact with any Na’vi other than battles.

Ketuik guarded the ground and he stayed focused on anything that passed nearby. At some point, his nose twitched. A strong waft of thick and polluting smoke filled his nose. In silence and with swift movements he climbed his way up a tall tree all with a quick and swift few motions.

His eyes squinted, the dark sky illuminated by stars and in the distance, high above the tree line he saw smoke rising. Humans…they didn’t care who they alerted. They didn’t care who they disturbed. What an abrasive species. Ketuik allowed his eyes to wander for a moment before he made his way down.

In the morning, most of the adults were aware that a raid would need to happen soon. Soon or they would be the one being ambushed.

Inirhäi was scrambling to make sure that his new Riti didn’t fly away. Everyone else was busy with their human talk, so no one cared that there was a baby Stingbat being chased by an eleven year old. Virhen, like many of the other Na’vi his age were asking to also be involved in the raid if there was one to come. Evayi, their mother, said disagreed no matter what Virhen said. He was too young, and he hadn’t even completed his Rites of Passage yet.

Also like Ketuik, Ina wrinkled her nose at the smell. She had no idea how the Humans could stand such smelly and noisy machines that did nothing but destroy everything in their path. Ina flincked her tail in annoyance.

Besides being the most beautiful clan member, she was also very strong and a very skilled Banshee Rider. Unlike Virhen and Taya, she would be allowed to participate in the raid. In fact, Tomak had lead many successful raids against the Humans. Despite all of their technology, it wasn't much of a match against the Na'vi and Eywa. Humans were an invasive species that needed to be destroyed...

...Come morning, Tomak was gathering those capable and willing to go on a raid. Tomak's eldest son naturally volunteered, and so did Ina. Karu, the current Tsahik of the clan, pregnant, would not be going with. She would stay on the ground and protect the young ones and elders.

The mood was tense. Tomak despised the Humans and forbade them from Soul Trees. Humans and their Avatar Drivers. Ina let out a long, deep breath. They would be attacking on their Forest Banshees with bows and flaming arrows. This clan rarely used fire except for cooking fires and flaming arrows to attack Humans and their machines. Tomak paced as he waited for others of the clan to go on the raid with them.
