Long ago, the world of Terra faced a threat, unlike anything it ever encountered before. Creatures of unknown origin appeared suddenly, and piece by piece, The denizens of Terra were torn apart. However, in its time of greatest need, a single spark awoke within a chosen few...the gift of Ether. With this newfound element, Terra was able to develop magic. That which once was thought to only be a myth became the path by which the races of this world found their salvation.
Today, the people make use of Ether and the magic it makes possible for all manner of common applications. But with the dark memories of the past hanging over them, and the possibility of history repeating itself at the back of the collective consciousness' mind, certain individuals took it upon themselves to prepare a new generation to defend their world.
And so, we come to Avalon-The city in the sky. Home to the greatest individuals Terra has to offer. Here, individuals with the gift of magic are trained to control their abilities and charged with defending the world below from the dark forces that would destroy it...
