A little bit, but not a lot compared to buying them with money, or doing the daily quests for gold. You get rewards for earning points playing ranked, which can include card packs.

I haven't played Shadowverse, lol. Hearthstone is pretty fun, but the current meta's gotten mildly cancerous.

The meta is pretty bad for shadowverse too. Everything is playing the same 1,2,3 point cards, or using a blood deck. Good thing there's going to be nerfs in several days.

Warrior: Spam taunt. Your opponent will never hit your face. Ever.
Hunter: Spam attack face, fuck everything else
Rogue: Spam your whole hand. No cards? Your opponent either surrendered or is dead by then.
Mage: I have no idea lol
Priest: No idea either
Warlock: Spam the board with 1 manas
Paladin: Spam
Shaman: Spam
Druid: Spam
you get the point...
