Inside the city:

High Arc region:

magic_city_of_vane_by_alayna-d7pcmcq.jpg

Description:

One of the more lively places of the Avarice. Near the center of the city there is a ring around where the capital is, this ring of culture is home to the most wealthy and powerful people of Avarice. Generally having many different activities and at light it lights up with bright colors. Someone is always going somewhere and it is consider "the city that never sleeps" between parties and business, you can always see people and find things to do. Most of the council member live somewhere along the circle. The entire area is always being updated and the best magic and equipment are usually here. Visiting this place can be done by pretty much anyone, however to live here costs a large amount of money.

Abandon Mines:

arc_scr_1208_02.jpg

Description:

These are mines that were created within the city 100 years ago. Below the city of Avarice used to be a rich about out magical crystals and other resources. However 100 years later the mines are completely dry and no one uses them anymore. The empty mines were closed down and don't have any real use, there aren't monster within them because it's inside of the city. The lack or resources creates a big concern for how runes will continue to be made. Without more runes the cities barrier can't hold forever.

Fasmus Preer's Legendary Tea!

shop-1946005.jpg

Located on the west side of Avarice, hidden between rows of shops on one of the many cluttered alleys lies the city-wide famous abode of Fasmus Preer's masterful rejuvinating elixir. Despite its less than ideal location, entering the shop will feel like arriving at your home away from home! You can chat with campions over a nice cuppa' or simply relax and breathe in the lightly sented air. Yes indeed, Fasmus Preer's Legendary Tea is the home of serenity, comradery and tastes that are out of this world!

Tired of just tea? No worries! We have a selection of cake and biscuits to add that extra flavour to your beverage!

Avarice Academy for Junior Alchemists:

WR1.jpg

The Avarice Academy for Junior Alchemists, or Alchemy Academy, is the top notch school for learning how to practice Alchemy. It is located in the Northwestern corner of Avarice. The school has been and still may be a primary target for Azeron and Semangat radicals.

The grade system works relatively simple. There are 3 tiers, 3rd, 2nd and 1st. Each one is more challenging than the last, and only the smartest and most proficient students pass 1st Tier. Depending on the class, students can be risking their long-term well being in order to pass, due to sensitive or dangerous materials and recipes. Because of how the tier system works, graduates don't have a specific average age group, as some get out as early as age 10, and some as late as age 20. It all depends on how well one would take in the information and put it to use.

東部地区

also known as (Dōngbù Dìqū, Tōbu Chiku, Oriental Town)

IMG_5625.JPG

Oriental Town, as it is known in Avarice, is a district housing many of those from the East. Many temples of the many eastern religions can be found in this area. It sits on the northeastern portion of Avarice, with a small stream running through it. The further into the district, the more you'll see more noble families. It is known for housing many spirit and artifact users, although well known alchemists have come from here, having their own gardens provided by noble families. They are one of the few places that still retain much of their culture in spite of the closed walls of the city.

Kodama Furiko has a residency in what is considered a mansion, which sits next to a temple. Only faction leaders and council members have ever been inside her home.

Location: The Dead Forest (South)

Days trip(Not including return time): 1.5 to the edge, longest trip 3 days.

Picture:

eKE5D8H.jpg

Description:

The forest was discovered only 3 years after the city was finished being build. At first it didn't bring any attention. However after sometime it was noticed that the forests dead trees didn't decompose. Currently we are still unsure as to why the trees and plants dead trucks and sticks remain but studies are being conducted on the life to try and figure out why. There also seems to be moss and grass that are dead but remain as well, whether this could help in defeating the rain is unclear still. Another interesting fact is that we have not cleared the entire forest, it is massive and we can only make a 3 day journey through the forest, we wouldn't return if  we went any further. It is also difficult to get very far because the forest is filled with demons.

Location: Crystal Mountains(East) and Pure Lake(Just past the Crystal Mountains)

Crystal Mountains:

Days Trip(Not including return): 2 days

Picture:

Caspian_Mountains_1.jpg

Crystal_cave_by_joshualim91-d58spge.jpg

Description:

The Crystal Mountains get their name from precisely whats inside of them, a massive amount of crystal caverns filled with magical essence. The water, both within and outside of the mountains, is completely harmless. The Rain's magic of pulling life essence out of things doesn't seem to have an effect on this water, to be perfectly honest we have no idea why. It has nothing to do with the surrounding area because when the Rain happens the water floods all the caverns and around the mountains and kills anything within our around the mountains, meaning we have never been there when the water become purified. We thing it has something to do with the crystals but it is unsure as of now. Both the snow around the mountains and the river running through it are normal snow and water. The crystals, due to their magical essence, are great for runes and other magic essence based uses.

Warning: Many people have died trying to find shelter within the mountains because they couldn't make it to the city in time. All have failed, the water that comes down from the Rain will flood the caverns and kill anyone inside.

Pure Lake:

Days trip(Not including return): 2 days

Picture:

14351-dark-night-over-the-mountain-lake-1920x1080-fantasy-wallpaper.jpg

Description:

The Pure Lake's water comes from the river of the Crystal Mountains. Because of this the entire lake has normal water, whats interesting about the lake is that it shouldn't have normal water. Part of the water should be normal and part of it should be dangerous. Due to the Rain every week that lake should have part of the dangerous water mixed in with the normal water from the Crystal Mountains. But that is not the case, as we previously said the water is perfectly normal, and other than needing headed, you could drink it. We are still investigating this but until we can see what happens during the rain we may never know.

Location: Dragon Rock(West)

Days trip(Not Including return): 2.5 days

Description

A dormant volcano that has put to sleep because of the Rain. The inside of the volcano however is completely hollow and is home to many different types of demons. Mostly snake like creatures with wings. Dragons, as most people call them, but they are not the only variation. Somewhere within the volcano there is a rest, we don't know exactly where it is however we do know that there is a massive dragon with unbelievable power that guards the mountain and the rest. The dragon itself is a demon and can withstand the Rain, but often isn't that intelligent and you can sneak past it, provided you don't have an army with you. More than 100 people would start to make it difficult, but not impossible. The main problem being that it takes 6 days totally to get there and back, meaning you only have one day to explore and that's cutting it close. With 100 people or more you are certain to lose someone AND risk getting the dragons attention. However it is told that many great scrolls, artifacts, and other magics are hidden within. Some even claim that the dragons only egg is sitting in there and could be tamed. This is unclear, however if such a thing did happen than a massive dragon on humanities side would be of great help.

WarningIt should be noted that the snow on the mountain is NOT normal. It is the same type of snow in winter and keeps the essence of the Rain. Attempting to enter the mountain from the top, which would avoid the dragon, WILL get yourself  killed. Many have tried this however the Snow sticks to you AND drains you life energy. Do not attempt this!

Location: Poison Lake(West)

Days trip(Not including return): 2.5 days

Picture:

blue-lake-14521-1920x1080.jpg

Description:

As the name suggests the Poison Lake is made entirely of  Rain water. The lake is directly south of  Dragon Rock. The life sucking water from the Rain flows down to this lake and the entire lake is filled with life stealing water. Falling into this will result in a also immediate death, from lack of  life energy. We are still unsure what the difference between this lake and the Pure Lake is but more research is being make.

Note: Bouts can flout across the water.

Location: Greater Llyn (South West)

Days trip(Not Including return): 4 days

Picture:

Description:

The city was a massive ancient city, even before the Witch's rule. The city consisted of ancient ruins that were rebuilt and after time the city was home to some of the richest people in the world. The city was the midpoint between the east and the west housing most of the trading and flourishing in wealth. When the Witch came to power many people retreated here. When the Witch was killed and the fog made it's way across the world, Avarice hadn't been built yet, so most of the population was forced to stay here. 100 years later the place is nothing but ruins and it's too far away for anyone to get there.

However a very intelligent alchemist was able to predict when the Wind storms(see events page) would happen. With that in mind it's possible to make a 8 day trip(there and back) into 6.5 just before the Rain happens.  By leaving the city at 12am Sunday, with wind machine(Machines that have enchanted sails on them to move faster in the direction of the wind) and with runes, it will take 4 days to get there, but coming back you will have the wind, which will increase you speed to take only 2.5 days to come back. This still means you must survive 0.5 days in the Rain, but with powerful runes you can survive this. However you only get roughly 15 minutes to see the city. Whats interesting about the city is that where is moss all over it. Living moss, we have no idea why and a sample is being tested now. More information is to come.

Valhalla: Artifact Village

fantasy-windows-background-village-mountain.jpg

Valhalla Underground Central Court/Arena

aa743eff3f650e47cd124bbf35e028a1.jpg

Avarice is known for its many diverse cultures. From western to eastern, numerous survivors inhabit the city, and many different homes and structures are built to accommodate for each culture inhabiting the city. Just towards the outskirts of Avarice lie four eroded structures of land that the Azeron have called their home since the time of Zeron Alexander. Him along with the rest of the cultures of mortals and magic called these islands their paradise; simply known as Valhalla.

The islands inhabit and protect one of Avarice's few clean, natural supplies of water. This water comes directly from underground, unaffected by the Rain. The water is monitored by the Resource Island. The eroded islands are hallowed out and fortified to also connect with each other underground that is sacred to Azeron members only.  Its also important to note that the dwellings on each island are connected by Ro artifacts that appear only when stepped upon.

Resource Sector:

The island located in Northwest Valhalla is the Resource Island. This island is in charge of maintaining artifact material, artifact weaponry and potions, and the clean supply of water. The building connects to the Commander's Quarters (east) and Spirit Forge (south).

Spirit Forge:

The island south of the Resource island is run by Azeron's Spirit Smiths. The building is often the first visited by outsiders to Valhalla because the Spirit Forge is not restricted to just Azeron. Above and underground, the Spirit Forge connects with the Resource sector (together they provide Azeron's armory) and the Living Quarters.

Living Quarters:

Easily the largest island/building, the Living Quarters is just that! It provides a eatery and meeting room on the surface and luxurious rooms underground for those who want to stay at Valhalla/newcomers. Training is held underground in the Central Court. It connects to the Spirit Forge and the Commander's Quarters.

Commander's Quarters:

Home to Rhovanion, his daughter, and his Generals, the Master's Quarters is a place of responsibility and strict duty during the day. The only island that is not connected underground, the Commander's Quarters is where mission reports, faction communication, and negotiations are held. When Rhovanion is not on duty, he spends his time with his daughter Lucia, who shares a large room with him. When Rhovanion is away, Kiri and/or Ashley are posted here to have a watchful eye on Azeron and Valhalla. Ashley, however, finds the task too tedious, and instead usually hangs out with Rho's 8 year old daughter Lucia, leaving Kiri to do most of the work.
