History

Kazuko had lived in Japan his entire life. Living under a highly disciplined roof, virus or not, there was little time to relax and play the kid he was supposed to in his younger years. Through the time before the virus his older brother, Atsuya had been a light in his world still acting as the great older brother he always was and even sneaking him out of the house to enjoy the little things and build moments between them.

However after the virus struck there was anything but joy for anyone in the world. Their parents worked under the famous Hiragi family for some time and were able to vaccinate and protect their two children at the cost of their own lives while attempting to give the same safety to others.

Quickly being thrown into the life of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army his older brother showed great potential as a leader while also giving personal training to Kazuko even as they were moved into diffrent units. It was no shock when Kazuko graduated from JIDA's basic training but it was a very unusual when he decided against picking up a infamous cursed gear. Deciding he would rather rely on humanity and his own skills. Using an Enchanted gear in the meantime and was just as deadly as his fellow comrades in the Moon Demon Company.

As his older brother continued to climb with his own power and extraordinary abilities Kazuko broadened his trust and friendships eventually becoming near blood brothers with a fellow soldier Hakuro. While the two were close, Atsuya warned him of Hakuro's wild card like nature and how he had publicly disregarded authority as well as a direct order of a Hiragi in the past and was seen as an active troublemaker. Taking his warning but still held respect for his close friend before their last mission together would further change the young man.

It was a simple reconnaissance mission. Scout out further past their borders at Shinjuku and eliminate the few spotted Horseman about in the area. All was well until the last hour of their mission when suddenly they were surrounded by vampires. Completely caught off guard and under armed with only four cursed gears the battle was difficult but they managed to slay their foes quickly. Hakuro and Kazuko taking the main initiative and now winded as they tried catching their breath. But then the groups leader stepped forward seemingly out of nowhere. Kazuko looking in disbelief. A Progenitor stood before them.

Lucien, the 12th Progenitor stood looking over his fallen men with a sigh as two female vampire nobles now stood at his side. "Thank you for thinning out my ranks. I swear Balor never gives me any being of substance. I prefer working alone with these lovely doves anyway. I will reward you with a quick death.." He said and in that instant the two noble vampiresses had struck down their team. Taking only moments before Hakuro and Kazuko stood back to back while Lucien barely seemed to pay any attention only looking down at one of their fallen teammates and picking up the weapon before it faded away in his hand.

Hakuro seemed to twitch as anger swelled within him and as Kazuko began to question him, his friend began to change. His voice shifted and horns began to sprout from his head before laughing maniacally. It all happened so fast. His friend became possessed and the vampire noble actually showed signs of interest. "Well well....this should be..." He said before he turned to face behind him and sighed. "Come you two...I will have to find these two again I guess...Balor calls."

They were now alone. Hakuro seeming to struggle as Kazuko watched helplessly to his possession. In the single moment of struggle their eyes met and Kazuko pierced his friend's heart with his own cursed blade. The demons eyes looked to him before laughing maniacally and after the ordeal was over Kazuko woke up in the medical bay back at HQ with Hakuro's cursed gear in his own hands. The once black and green edged blade now edged crimson and he heard Hakuro chuckle madly in his mind.

Since then his trust towards the Hiragi's and his older brother has diminished but even so he had climbed up the ranks from enlisted to officer and now was positioned as the XO of Team Talon, only now he was under the command of his older brother.

We are fighting for our very survival in a world that seems to be ready to be rid of us entirely. If we do not fight we surrender ourselves to extinction

It happened and there is still much the general public does not understand. My doubts have been growing more and more that it was a simple vampire ploy as the higher commands demands us all to believe

The Vampires
Regardless of anything else they are selfish beings bent on turning us into slaves and food supply. Vampires enjoy killing those weaker than them by the dozen for no reason outside of sport....I intend to show them I have picked up their hobby

Views on the Horagi's - Has dark suspicions about them that have caused distrust towards them and in turn to his older brother who follows their orders without question.

In the public eye Atsuya and Kazuko treat one another as proper military members but behind closed doors there almost seems to be a powerful hated linked between the once close brothers.

A great and proven leader since he joined the JIDA, Atsuya has been a loyal officer to the Haragi's but none question that as the factor for his promotions as his skill of mind and blade on the battlefield are evident. Always willing to do any order he sets out to his subordinates himself and has his fair share of experience and logic to boot. In addition to his command he is also the overseer for the schooling and basic training of recruits and newer enlisted members into the moon demon company.

Married to Mischa, his former squad leader and bearing a son and a daughter he has even more to fight for as well as his brother who was once so close to him but now is barely able to interact with anymore than an officer to subordinate relationship.

History
Very little is known about Lucien other than that he refuses to play in the political games of his fellow progenitors. He could care less for ruling in the slightest and only desires to continue on and enjoy this war of his. Even through his brief moments of joy he can never find individuals worthy of facing him. Longing for a real challenge almost as badly as the thirst for blood.

At his side stand two powerful noble vampires by the names of Silvana and Zelena who are eternally loyal to him and he respects that and pays it back in turn which is surprising to most of his kind. While he is a progenitor, his power far exceeds what any of his kind originally believed. Proving once again that the number in line of succession does not determine one's power. Few have seen anyone come close to holding against Lucien and even the JIDA High Command know to be wary of this particular noble even if he is seemingly alone and defenseless, placing him as one of their highest priority targets.

To even get a chance to die at his hand one would have to pass his two deadly attendants who never allow weaker beings even close to his presence, further on than that Lucien has sent back the corpses of slain teams sent to areas that he resides and continues to show up every so often.

The War and the JIDA/Humans
War is all he craves and desires. He will follow any leader that promises to prolong the conflict or offer him a worthy challenge. The humans have been proving to become more than just livestock and he hopes their research into Demons and Seraphs lead them to become more powerful and add actual interest into his dull life.

Strengths:
Akagi's strengths reside within her confidence in dire situations. While reserved, she is determined to get the job done - driven purely out of her conviction for her family. While usually indifferent, she is keen on communicating with her comrades, making her a capable and competent warrior on the field.

Weaknesses:
Akagi's weakness are influenced by her philosophies of survival. While she is willing to endure troubles that comes her way, she is one to dismiss a threat altogether should she reason it to be unnecessary. A practical personnel of interests, she is propelled forth only if needed. Otherwise, she can put up resistance and question orders if they are not aligned with her interests. Another, if not the biggest weakness that Akagi bear is her responsibility for Kaga. She can display irrational emotions if something happens to Kaga.

Akagi is well-versed when tinkering with things. She is generally seen working on certain equipment or simply fiddling with her gramophone.

Fears:
Akagi worst fear is losing Kaga, her only familial kin.

Secrets:
Akagi despises the Hiragi's familial assertion and influence within JIDA. She views it as a nepotistic system that only guarantees one's status according to namesakes, rather than rewarding those with ample capabilities. As such, Akagi is keen on the disassembly of this flawed system, and yearns to achieve true discipline within the armed force. Akagi also discerns herself from the causes of her allegiance to JIDA's cause. While she fights for mankind, it is only out of necessity and the current situation.

Akagi cursed gloves give her exceptional strength and reflexes with close-quarter situations. Combined with her agile form, Akagi is able to deliver substantial amount of damage over a short period of time. As she is an agile fighter, Akagi prioritizes speed over raw strength and defense. When her demon is called forth, Akagi's hands are reinforced with obsidian-like material, effectively turning her gloves into a pair of reinforced gauntlets. Other notable physical changes include glowing violet markings that covers her body, as well as a distinctive surge of dark energies that surround her - particularly her glowing gauntlets that also emits a violet hue.

While Akagi is a competent fighter, her main abilities rely on pairing up with her sister Kaga in order to make the most out of their combined abilities. When working with Kaga, the twins make good use of their abilities via different combinations of combos and attacks.

Virus:
Akagi regards the viral catastrophe that befell mankind as an essential, albeit begrudged judgment. When the virus took her parent's life, Akagi was left to fend for her sister Kaga, and herself. This would mold their survivalist instincts, forging them to be progressively strengthened in their goals for survival, and nothing more - no matter the costs. As such, Akagi is solely focused on keeping her sister safe, and in doing so will regard anything deemed as an obstacle to be dispatched with haste.

Vampires:
Her views on the vampire and the war between mankind and the prior are of little passion, as Akagi prioritizes her family's survival above all else. As such, she is less keen on furthering or advocating the eradication of the vampires. Despite this, she has her controversial disdains regarding vampiric activities - deeming the kindred community as no more than humanity's savagery. Both have their evils, as she perceives it.

The War:
As long as she and her squad lives, everything else matters little. As thus, she is neither impetuous nor negligence regarding the status of the war.
[/div][div class=header2] History[/div][div class=text]Akagi is the eldest daughter of William Baker, an American marine stationed in Okinawa, and Yuki Tachibana, a Japanese accountant. Born in Japan, while having an American dad, Akagi and Kaga are well-versed in English and Latin. As her dad was a marine stationed in Japan, Akagi picked up on his resolute traits since a young age, and was well-endowed with much knowledge pertaining to curating and tinkering with complex designs - such as fixing a fuse box or disassembling a weapon. When the virus breaks out, Akagi and her little sister Kaga had to fend for themselves before being taken in by the recently-established Japanese Imperial Demon Army. Having witnessed her parent's death, Akagi vowed to protect her little sister. For better or for worse, as long as they would live to see another day, it did not matter to Akagi what evils they must commit. As fate would have it, JIDA had found the twin sisters near Mino, where they would be taken into custody, sparing them from the fate of those subjugated by the vampires.

During her time in the academy, Akagi picked up on a multitude of skills, while reinforcing her mindset to obtain strengths where she lacked. The young half-Japanese and her sister, however, were usually looked down upon as gaijins (foreigners), due to their appearances. Where they were sometimes shunned for their different look that resembled most fair-skinned vampires, this culminated in the development of Akagi's humility and resolve to protect her sister.

As time went on, she eventually enlisted in the Japanese Army, in hopes of getting stronger to protect Kaga, of whom she held dear. But instead of sparing the latter from the fates of soldiering, the two would end up serving alongside one another. During the assessment of Demon Extermination Unit for viable candidates, Akagi and Kaga were deemed fit, and the two were given their trials. In the hours of life and death, Akagi came through unscathed, as did her younger sister. Acquiring the powers of a cursed pair of gloves, Akagi furthered her training as time went on, and became well-acquainted with her weapon, before being transferred over to team Lycan.
[/div][div class=header2] Other / Extras[/div][div class=text]Akagi has a particularly peculiar fondness for flowers, as well as meddling with older technologies. She has a miniature pot of teal-green echeveria that she takes care of daily, as well as an old gramophone that she works on in her free time.

Another thing of note is that the Beika twins are usually around each other. At times, Akagi can become concerned if Kaga is out of her sight for more than a few minutes.

The current war between humans and vampires is seen as a way for her and her sister to rise in status, making their life much easier and safer. The youngest daughter of William Baker, an American marine, and Yuki Tachibana, a Japanese accountant, Kaga was born and raised withing the gates of Okinawa, Japan of which her father had been stationed and settled down. Picking up her mother's cooking skills and her father's stubbornness she had quite the persona as well as being multilingual. As the virus took control, killing her parents, Kaga was heavily traumatized and had been mindless for a time as she drifted with her sister. Having been barely scraping the barrel for survival, they were then picked up by the Japanese Imperial Demon Army headed by the Hiragi family.

Being educated at the academy, Kaga paid attention during the classes and did what she could to pass, while mostly being adamant in cooking and athletics that she enjoyed. The young half-Japanese and her sister, however, were usually looked down upon as gaijins (foreigners), due to their appearances. Where they were sometimes shunned for their different look that resembled most fair-skinned vampires. Though Kaga's resolve did not tremble and often got into brawls with others.

As time went on, Akagi would decide to enlist into the Japanese Army which Kaga had decided to follow suit in to be with her sister. Fatefully, they were paired up and trained in the arts of soldiering. Being candidates for the Demon Extermination Unit, Kaga and her sister passed and were put into the trials. The two went through hours of mental and physical exhaustion, both eventually passing and made their contracts with their cursed gears. Having paired up with a deck of cards, Kaga became trained eagerly to become accustomed to her new powers and cards. Soon enough Kaga was deemed ready and ordered alongside her sister to Lycan Squad.

[div class=header2] Combat Information[/div][div class=text]Skills: Polearm proficiency: Nao has been training with a variety of polearm weapons, especially spears, for as long as she can remember, and has understandably grown used to utilizing them in battle.

High Agility: At the cost of not being the most physically enduring individual, Nao has shown to be particularly fleet-footed and capable of performing acrobatic jumps with relative ease.

Demon: Ikuchi, an alluring yet simultaneously menacing and manipulative demon that regularly attempts to have Nao embrace her flaws rather than fight against them. Nao doesn't like the being one bit, partly because Ikuchi's promises sound far too good for her liking.

Weapon: Nao’s contracted weapon manifests itself as a spear roughly 6’5” in length. The spear consists of an undecorated pole combined with a thin but long spearpoint with two smaller blades coming diagonally from the base. At the back end of the pole, another thin cone-shaped blade is situated. The spear itself is almost completely jet black in design, with the only details being a typical green trim around the outer edges of each respective blade.

Being a manifestation type weapon, Ikuchi has the minor ability to shrink down to a pen-length rod with three smaller rods branching out from the top to resemble the prominent spearpoint. This ability is purely for the sake of convenience since it allows the spear to be transported more easily.

Weapon Ability: Minor: Perception.
While cursed gear has the natural ability to heighten one's capabilities, Ikuchi has an additional bonus when it comes to increasing Nao's stance in battle. Diverting from a snake's inherent ability to feel the slightest change in their environment, Nao is more susceptible to noticing alterations and experiences an increased reaction speed. While not all that of a significant increase, its nevertheless a nice addition to have.

Major: Demon Manifestation.
Upon thrusting the weapon into or towards a large solid mass, the demon’s incorporeal form escapes from the weapon, erupting from the chosen surface (the ground, a wall, etc.) in front of her as a horned snake-like creature. This serpent manifests itself at a seemingly unlimited length (although it is tied to a 20-meter radius from the spot it was manifested from), and is about 1 meter in width.

Swift and powerful, the black ash-like bodied serpent is capable of rapidly manoeuvring itself around its given radius, allowing it to adapt to the battlefield itself with deadly expertise. Based on the given command by Nao, who has to guide the serpent as long as it is active, it can be used to lunge at opponents in an attempt to latch onto them, biting into an opponent with its sharp teeth only to then use its sheer strength to generally entangle said target in place or to push/pull them into a certain direction. In instances where multiple enemies are in need of displacement, Ikuchi may also just be used to blatantly charge into a target or slam them aside with the remainder of its large body.

This ability grants Nao greater control over the battlefield by displacing enemies and temporarily immobilizing certain targets. As long as Nao remains focused on the serpent, she can keep it up for about 5 to 10 seconds without the danger of any consequences. If she chooses to mentain the serpent longer, it will come at the cost of potential risks. It should also be noted that Ikuchi's strength and dexterity come with the cost of being susceptible to damage, as well as having a particularly low constitution to pair. Nao is also left much more exposed while the demon is manifested, so caution is needed.[/div]
[div class=header2] Biography[/div][div class=text]Views on situation:
While the world isn’t regarded as completely black and white, it sure comes close to it. Vampires, in her opinion, are nothing more than savage beasts that threaten the very existence of everything she loves, and the war is the perfect tool to prevent that from happening. Nao has completely demonized the bloodsuckers in her mind, leaving them void of any quality or sense of humanity. As a result, she can kill them without a single drop of regret or empathy.

As mentioned before, Nao’s stance regarding the war is a positive one in the sense that she believes it to be mandatory and most definitely of use. With the enemy being the manifestation of true evil itself, she believes it is justified to use any means to achieve their eradication. With that said, being driven by emotion and strong morals, she is quite idealistic in the sense that she wishes to save everyone they can. While occasional rational thinking may lead to her understanding the greater good, she will rarely step down without a fight when there is a chance of saving a human life, even if that might mean disobeying commands.

As for the Virus, Nao has forever remained confused and sorrowful. The loss of her family struck her harder than anything ever had, and it filled her with an intense sense of wrath that motivates her to keep fighting. Nao holds the vampires accountable for the virus, for she believes them to be behind its release.

History:

Spoiler: Backstory

There was once a time where Nao Minami, the youngest child of three, spent her days comfortably and happily alongside her notoriously big yet nevertheless nurturing family. Life was comparatively with little concern for the young daughter. There was enough money, enough care, and more than enough entertainment thanks to the immense network of nephews and nieces she had. Things were great, truthfully, but they, unfortunately, came to an end.

On the day the virus struck, Nao could only watch in awe as her family one by one fell down to the ground. Her mother, father, and two older brothers were gone, wiped out in a mere set of minutes, leaving only herself and her younger brother alive. Needless to say, it was harrowing, and it only kept getting worse.

Having grown used to the comfort of always having someone look after her, Nao didn't know what to do at all. Initially staying put, hopeful that someone would come to save them, Nao eventually ended up taking to the streets upon seeing several hooded figures run past. Beyond puzzled and frightened, she ran and screamed for help as hard as she could, eventually grabbing their attention. Turns out those 'people' were far from a rescue.

Instead of running into the arms of kindhearted saviours, Nao's bad intuition lead her straight to a group of fanged monsters that forcefully took her away to a sinister place. The young girl, once eccentric and full of confidence, was slowly but surely degraded and drained from any positive emotion. She was merely one of the many children that lived their lives as livestock, kept eternally frail and afraid of what might come.

Nao tried to stay as strong and brave as she possibly could. Seeing the way the vampires treated them, clouded her mind with thoughts of violence, and of possible rebellion. Alongside several equally idealistic kids, she managed to rally up a large group of 'livestock' all wishing to escape. Things, unfortunately, didn't go well though.

Before the escape attempt could even come into action, the group's plans were uncovered and slammed into nonexistence. Nao witnessed the very people she trusted and believed in punished and tortured into a state of mind that was nothing like their former selves while she herself remained relatively unscathed.

The days went by painstakingly slow. Minutes felt like hours, hours felt like days, and days felt like an eternity. Nao slowly but surely grew ill and frail, void of any dream or aspiration. She was very close to completely giving up, but help finally came.

Months after being captured, the location Nao was imprisoned at was breached and cleared out by the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. Nao, like many other saved kids, was brought to Shinjuku where she would eventually enrol at the academy in hopes of growing strong enough to fight back against the vampires. While admittedly not the best of the best, Nao showed a high amount of raw talent in combat and a seemingly high resistance for demon gear that would eventually make her stand out in a recruitment assessment for the Black Demon Company.

Several weeks of rigorous training later, Nao successfully contracted with a relatively high-end demon that gained the new recruit a spot in a soon-to-come extermination unit. Having rebuilt her confidence throughout her time with the JIDA, Nao has high hopes for the future and heavily longs to make herself of use in the upcoming battles. It's time to fight back.

[div class=header2] Abilities[/div][div class=text]Skills: Agility - Due to the nature of his Cursed Gear, most of his training focuses on him being able to escape and avoid any one-on-one battles. Quick on his feet, his main objective is to dodge and hold out when it comes to direct fighting.

High Stamina and Lung Capacity - Trained extensively in this, Yukishiro can last a long time in the battlefield even while playing his flute while running around. He also doesn't get out of breath too quickly as the consequence of that would be not being able to play. Still, he is at his best when he's stationary and in support.

Demon: Tokatzu; an easygoing demon that is in this for the ride. Though still feeding Yukishiro's insecurities and often teases him mercilessly with the aim of somehow taking over his human host, the demon finds great pleasure in watching Yukishiro fight and interact with others.

Weapon: Silver Flute

Abilities: Continuous playing is a must. At least two seconds of playing must be done before activation of any ability

Minor Ability: He can cast a protective barrier for a short moment within a ten feet radius. These barriers can protect from most attacks but they disappear immediately after being hit. Simultaneous attacks would be a good counter to this. He can also summon a group of bat-like creatures and send them forward - much like a projectile - towards an enemy within the ten foot radius. While these attacks can harm an enemy, its main purpose is to push an enemy back so that the user can either escape or aid another.

Demon Manifestation: Through a series of notes, the manifestation can be activated. Once the last note of the incantation is reached, black smoke will pour out of the flute and slowly manifest themselves as a colony of bat-like creatures. This colony can be freely controlled through the harmony of the flute and can travel in a fifteen feet radius around the user of the flute and the user is able to freely move around. The longer this manifestation is held, the greater the consequence it is on Yukishiro's body.

For a supportive type of cursed gear, the manifestation is rather versatile in the battlefield. Yukishiro mainly uses it for support, ordering the colony of creatures to surround an enemy in a flurry of creatures slowly trying to cut them up while flying around them. He can pull these bats back and turn them into a continuous projectile that would be enough to cut a limb off if aimed correctly but his method of fighting makes him end up using the former all too often.

While attacks aimed for singular opponents would be nearly ineffective to defeating the colony, area of effect attacks can easily wipe them out. One can easily outrun them once you find an opening to escape the vortex too.

Views on Situation: Yukishiro seems to be completely impartial to most when discussing the events. He expresses a strong dislike to vampires but he seems to bear a similar dislike to anyone of higher power and holds it over others. He doesn't seem overly fond of remembering anything before the virus.

[div class=header2] Backstory[/div][div class=text]Yukishiro Hamada was not born in the best of places. With an alcoholic father in a failing business and a submissive mother, he was subjected to verbal and physical abuse from a young age. Whenever his father was away, he and his mother would get a moment of solidarity through the learning of the flute. Though, Yukishiro will always tell people that he had a normal childhood but would never go into more detail than that. So when the virus had come in and he watched his mother and father die, Yukishiro had become free from the grasp his father had on him. In return, he was thrown into a world devastated by the virus's effects.

He was picked up by the Japanese Imperial Demon Army after finding him sleeping in an abandoned mall by himself a few days after the incident. He was then entered into the academy. He had admittedly been hard at work. It was one of the first times that he could truly put an effort into things without his father breathing down his back. As soon as he had graduated from the academy, he wasted no time into enlisting to the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. It was what he had promised to those that had picked him up that fateful day.

Yukishiro had completed the basic training and passed the aptitude exam for Cursed Gears. He was taken down to choose his own and he had quickly decided upon a flute for himself - which his superior had questioned but allowed him anyway. Plunged into his own mind with the demon, he had managed to conquer Tokatzu and came out without any problems. The demon taunts him with memories of abuse but Yukishiro knew how to deal with that - stay silent and bear it.

He's been in the army for a year now and has been sent on some simple missions but nothing too big.

Strengths:
Yasu's greatest strength is his physical prowess. He is a bit of a big guy with some growing to do still, but he is physically imposing to anyone smaller than him, especially in terms of raw strength, even without his weapon. He is also quite adept at rolling with the punches as they come without any complaint at all.

Weaknesses:
His voice. While he can speak very, very softly or yell for a few seconds, speaking normally and frequently is simply out of his ability. To add to his lack of normal communication, he is simply awful with people, by choice. He is often rude when he speaks, or at the least very blunt, as long as he gets his point across.

Talents:
Whistling. He can do all sorts of different kinds of whistles, in many different pitches! And he can do sign-language fairly well, too. But more often than not he is just a really good miming things.

Fears:
Losing a limb or some other vital thing like an eye or a bunch of fingers on one hand and suffocation of any kind. Absolutely cannot stand people having their hands (or anything else) anywhere near his neck.

Secrets:
He expects to die well before he turns twenty and makes no effort to leave anything behind. The personal items he keeps are few and replaceable, much like he believes himself to be. Endurance & Strength - Due to the type of weapon Yasu wields and prefers, most of his training has been focused on his ability to take getting thrown around and still be able to hit back afterwards. It takes a lot to keep him down.

Sword Proficiency - Yasu has a liking for swords of all kinds, especially larger ones such as his contracted weapon. He can use just about any bladed weapon very well, he excels with longer blades. Maybe not so much with ones that require more precise movements or aim, but he can still use them better than a spear or anything else.

Demon: Kemuriame; An antagonistic demon that finds nothing more thrilling than the heat of battle, internal anguish, and destruction (of anything and everything). Him and Yasu get along like a house on fire in the middle of summer.

Weapon: Yasu's contracted weapon is a Claymore. It takes the appearance of a dark metal blade of roughly five feet in length with a double edge that is black in relation to the deep steel-grey of the rest of the weapon. It often requires two hands to wield. Not exactly a weapon of finesse, but fantastic for a target rich environment in close quarters!

Weapon Ability: Ability - When called, Kemuriame greatly increases Yasu's natural strength. The enhancement of his strength will continue to grow with all the bitter, nasty, and wrongful emotions he might have bottled up. Like this, Yasu is able to wield the Claymore with one hand quite effectively for a time. But the ability to do so dwindles just as fast as his bottled feelings do. There is a slight regenerative factor to this as well, but it is so minimal that it only mends small cuts or scrapes.

Minor Ability - Through his possession, Yasu gains faint markings that trail up from his arms to around his neck in a dark swirl of tendrils. This enables him to whistle incredibly loudly; enough that he can shatter glass, pop eardrums, temporarily stun someone, or some other crazy thing people can do with a high enough volume. Its use is strictly limited to sharp whistles or carefully controlled short bellowing yells, as the more it is used, the less of a voice Yasu is able to maintain. Which, unfortunately, he is already very limited with.

Views on Situations: Unsurprisingly, Yasu keeps his views on everything to himself. The bits people have found out can all be summed up into a few simple words: He does not care. Wars are common in history, the virus caused all kinds of harm that he survived, and vampires are their own can of worms he is impartial towards.

Aware. He’s not exactly easy to fool since he’s needed to keep both eyes open for not only himself, but his sister as well. Quick footed and fast hands. Weaknesses
He isn’t the best in understanding practical knowledge. He has trouble reading very complicated writing, and orders that lack clarity in their meaning. Threats to his sister are the one things that will set him off whether it be an assumed threat or a blatantly stated one if there’s anything that’ll set him off it’s threats to his sister.

His little sister is the only person that has his true undying loyalty. He's willing to sacrifice anything, and betray anyone so that she may live happily. If worse came to worse he'd even give himself away to the corrupting influence of his demon simply to protect his sister, and keep her happy.

Skills:
Quick Hands and Quick Feet: He spent his time before joining the JIDA and before the Virus as a pickpocket, and thief. He's quick on his feet, and quick with his hands. When he was younger he'd perform slight of hand tricks for his sister to keep her entertained though he never really learned any tricks he just took the basics of pick pocketing and misdirection to trick her. He once got her to believe that he had made a pebble disappear when in reality he just put it in his pocket. He's picked plenty of locks, and run away from even more angry adults, but they were hard pressed to catch up to him.

Sharp Eyes: He's had to be aware of his surroundings before the virus came, and even more so afterwards.

Demon: Azrael. A straightforward demon that doesn't bother with lies, and deceptions when it comes to interacting with their host. Instead they utilize facts, and undeniable truths to goad their host into spilling more, and more blood. She craves violence, and will urge Vendrin to use her power to kill. She will at times mimic his sister's voice to agitate him while fighting so that he gets more susceptible to using more, and more of her power.

Spoiler: Azrael

Weapon: Serrated one foot long knife knife with white tips on the edges.

Abilities: Able to emit a red wire so long as the user is touching the knife along it's blade. The wire is incredibly durable and is manipulated by the user so long as they remain in contact with the knife. If the user ceases contact with the blade the red wire recedes back into the knife.

Minor Ability: He is currently only able to manipulate the wires only about a foot in front of him any further, and he can't use them for anything to intricate after they reach longer than that distance, but he is still able to do simple actions with it such as creating a small shield, bringing an item closer to him, and using it to cling onto surfaces. His max reach with the wires is currently 10ft, but he's only able to use it for simple actions.

Manifestation: To summon the manifestation he must embed the knife into his body. Afterwards the red wires shift into chains that reach up to ten feet in length. He is currently only able to summon five chains, but they are able to be summoned from any part of his body. The strength of the chains is relative to their length with chains of 1 foot able to lift up to 200 pounds the amount that is able to be maintained decrease by ten percent for every foot the chain grows causing a sacrifice in strength in exchange for reach. The chains current max length is 15 feet at the cost of a 150% decrease in strength.

These chains drain him rapidly so he’s currently only able to maintain this state for one minute before risking being completely overtaken by his demon.

[div class=header2] Backstory[/div][div class=text]Vendrin had grown up with only one person that he could trust, and the one person that he'd protect no matter the consequences. His little sister.Though he doesen't remember much before his parents gave them to an orphanage he knew that he was the only person that can protect his sister. At the orphanage he hung around the more troublesome older kids that taught him how to pick locks, and take peoples wallets. A shame that they fell victim to the virus. They would have been proud seeing him break into wherever to scrounge for supplies for him and his little sister during the aftermath of the virus outbreak.

Eventually they would be found by a private of the JIDA who didn’t exactly think very postively of Vendrin considering that the young boy had attempted to stab him after the private looked at his sister in what Vendrin interpreted as a threatening way. Not too long after that he would enter the academy though he requested that his sister be denied entry. They saw him as decent enough cannon fodder for the war, and decided to abide by his request for now. His time at the academy saw him doing fairly well in close quarters combat, but since his hit typically lacked much strength he’d have to rely on weaponry, and agility to provide him any sort of edge in combat.

After the academy he enlisted into the JIDA which as whole has been relatively boring with him not exactly enjoying how far away he was from his sister, but she was currently protected by the most advanced military so he didn’t worry as much as he normally would. Determined: "Make your Combat Stance Your Everyday Stance": determination/stubornness is an important characteristic for a Minamoto, after all, a family that is dedicated to the practice of kenjutsu needs it in order to continue with this tradition. For him, determination is not about to set rules for a goal, but to set rules for your life, in that way you will achieve your goals naturally or die trying.

Distant/apathic: well he is a child raised in a powerful family with an aristocratic past, for many people he is gentle but distant, the kind of guy who never used slang, and the straight A student type but also a very apathic boy who sometimes can be bossy or abusive.

Intolerant: he is intolerant and conservative to many things due to his aristocratic roots, not to the point of being homophobic or xenophobic, but he distrusts or dislikes, impolite people, foreigners and homosexuals, in some occassions he expresses this intolerance more openly and harshly.

Likes: Japanese classic literature, reading about history, training, fighting (& winning, since he's a sore loser), katanas, cats.

Views on Situation:
The JIDA: he respects anyone who fights with bravery but distrusts those in the top ranks of the JIDA and particularly the Hiragi family, he also finds very annoying when is assigned to squads of rookies because of his age.
The vampires: they are the enemy that has to be defeated at any cost, he shows the common dislike for them and feels a special anger to them, specially to the nobles who killed his sister, but knows that he need to repress that anger to avoid it can affect his focus and better judgement during combat.
The war: at first he didn't like war, but as he considers himself a swordsman, he started enjoy fighting the vampires and the excitement of putting his life in danger or entering into the heat of the battlefield, to the point he thinks and his life would be very boring if the war ends. Although he knows this growing taste for fighting might be influenced by his demon, the people around him might see him as a future bloodthirst soldier or simply as a war addict.
His own family: he resents that in his own family there are members who resist the idea of seeing him taking the place of his deceased sister in the leadership of the family due to his age and lack of charisma.

Daisuke is the older surviving son of the noble Minamoto family, a family which has a long tradition in the kenjutsu practice. The members of this family, particularly the children of the main family branch, are expected to train the bodies and minds to become proficient kenjutsu fighters, and what was a tradition before the virus attack is now a need for survival.

Daisuke, like his elder sister, Kyoko, passed by this intense training with excellent marks, however, after the virus attack -which took the life of both of their parents and msot of the elder members of the clan- his sister took the lead and made a deal with the Hiragi family, offering a force of well trained and disciplined swordsmen in exchange of privileges among the JIDA.

Indeed, the Minamoto, especially Daisuke and Kyoko, were very capable when it comes to hand to hand combat and swordfighting being taught some lethal techniques that were not allowed or forbidden by mainstream martial arts schools, and that had been passed from generation to generation of the clan.

The years passed and 2 years ago, Kyoko went in a reconnoisance mission into vampire territory, although she had done these missions many times, she never came back and her mutilated corpse was found some days later, since then the Hiragi family is taking more and more decisions in the Minamoto family while Daisuke is looking for answers about the death of Kyoko.

An orphan that lost everything at the age of 14, this tale is nothing unusual given the state of the world. That is, if the reason was at the hands of Vampires...

If desperate, humans tend to betray their own kin for food and supplies, such was the occassion where a group of bandits lured a large group of horsemen to raid Midori's village, killing the majority of the humans residing there, and after the incident took place, this group looted what was left to steal and kidnapping the survivors. Midori, powerless hided below corpses on the ground as she stared the men do as they pleased.

Not long after the incident she was found by a passing group of members of the JDA. With a new opportunity to start anew she joined them and eventually enlisted.

Despite her personality, she managed to pass the tests that allowed her to form a contract with a demon; a demon that found peculiar was not her desire for power, but a grudge deep inside her heart, a grudge against her own kin.

Sia has a wicked stubborn streak in her that pushes her to her fullest potential. She's constantly willing to learn, train, and improve upon herself. Demon: Kraven - Kraven is a very lazy Demon, preferring to watch on the sidelines as humanity destroys themselves than actively participate. But he can be persuaded rather easily if you can outsmart his little games. When he's motivated he is one of the more powerful demon's out there. He takes great pleasure in being the most unpredictable, his objectives and desires as wishy-washy as a tornado so you never know just what he will do next. But for reasons unknown to even Sia herself, Kraven has taken a liking to her and their bond is strong.

Weapon: Sia's main weapon is a large dark-steel Claymore with black Demonic designs on the sides. The Claymore measures at about 5'8" from pommel to tip and weighs around 140lbs.

Weapon Ability: Minor Ability -When drawn Kraven enhances Sia's physical strength immensely as well as her endurance and agility. Kraven has the natural ability to create "mirages". He can create a mirage of himself so the enemy thinks they are blocking Sia's claymore only to have it be a mirage while Sia herself strikes in the next moment while her opponent's guard is down.

Major Ability - Sia and Kraven hold an unusually strong bond with one another. Enough so she can go into a full on half-possession without losing her mind over to Kraven. When this happens her pupils turn into slits similar to that of her demon and one horn like Kraven's also protrudes from her the right side of her head. Doing this provides her access to over half of Kraven's true power. She is able to conjure multiple copies of herself that look exactly like her but these are physical unlike the mirages from before and can attack/be killed, though their power is half of Sia's true self. Sia's power is also enhanced even further in this state.

Views on Situations:
Vampires - She doesn't believe every single Vampire is evil, just like not every single human is good. But she isn't willing to let the ones that seek to destroy and imprison humanity have their way so she will do what she must to protect her kind.

The Virus: It wiped out her family, friends, and life. She hopes whoever created such a monstrosity is suffering in the pits of hell.

The War: She grows tired of the endless slaughter of both sides. She honestly wish there was a way to live peacefully with the Vampires and maybe use their strength to save humankind. But she knows that this is just a pipe dream and Vampire's will never cooperate with humanity.

Roughly 8 years ago the world changed and Sia's life was left in ruins. She was 12 at the time, just under the age limit for the Virus to take effect it seemed. Unfortunately the rest of her family weren't so lucky, though what her life became was anything but lucky. She spent years trying to survive in a harsh world bent on destroying humanity while Vampires sought to keep whatever was left as their livestock. She came upon a group of children ranging from 6-10 who managed to work as a team to survive, scavenge, and avoid enemies. Sia became fast friends with them and took on the role as leader/substitute parent even though she was little more than a child herself.

She stayed with the group for over a year and they stayed constantly on the move so the Vampires wouldn't find them. But....Eventually they did. They were in the middle of moving locations when they came across 3 Vampires fighting older humans, they wore uniforms and had scary weapons. At first Sia thought they could skirt around the battle and escape while they were distracted. But one of the Vampires spotted their band and took the opportunity to use them as hostages/leverage against the opposing humans. The humans hesitated and that was all it took for the Vampires to take them out, although in the midst the Vampire holding her captive was killed and she was able to make a break for it. But not before witnessing the other children, children she had grown close to, that she had become a big sister of sorts to, get brutally murdered. It made her sick to leave them, to escape, but there was nothing she could do for them now. So she ran and she didn't stop for what seemed like miles.

By the time Sia did stop she was so exhausted her whole body was trembling as she collapsed in an abandoned Gas Station. The only thing she could think about was how the Vampires mercilessly took her friends lives, like they were nothing, just dirt beneath their feet. A rage burned inside her, a rage she had never felt before. She wanted them to pay...She wanted them to suffer. It took awhile for Sia to recover, deciding it was best to stay in the station than move in her condition.

A few hours later she heard footsteps outside and her stomach hit the floor thinking the Vampires had found her. But she heard grunts of pain along with shuffling footsteps, would a Vampire be in pain? Either way she stayed hidden as the figure made their appearance, it was a man, a human man, and he was wearing a uniform like the other humans that were fighting before. But this one was alone and he looked injured as he slumped against one of the broken down machines. Sia wasn't sure what she should do, should she help him? What if the Vampires came for him? Should she run away? She struggled with her instincts for survival and her morals for a few minutes before finally deciding she couldn't live with herself if she abandoned someone in need.

So Sia revealed herself to the man who was surprised to see her. She offered to help but he refused. "No dont, I'm already dead..." He explained as he revealed a terrible wound to his abdomen that made her want to vomit. "Whats your name?" He asked and Sia hesitantly answered. Thats when the human did something very peculiar for someone dying, he smiled. "Your strong, I can tell. Sia...Do you want to survive?" What kind of question was that? If she didn't she would of died a long time ago. So she answered with a confident yes. With a grunt he lifted his giant sword up to her, a sword she could hardly hold let alone carry. "Than live, this is Kraven. He's a Demon...A very lazy Demon at that-" 'Only because you humans are so bloody boring!' A male's voice sounded in her mind and the man chuckled like he heard it too. Sia on the otherhand was scared out of her mind and ended up dropping the sword. "Wh-what was that?!?" She questioned and the man calmly explained what Kraven was and that he could help her not only survive, but exact the revenge she wanted so badly on the Vampires.

It was scary at first but Sia wasn't weak and she did want revenge. So she accepted Kraven from the man, Kraven on the otherhand.... 'What the hell you pathetic human your handing me off to a child?? What can this little girl do?' He voiced some complaints. But Sia was having none of it, Demon or not she wasn't going to let him tear her down. "You listen Demon! You dont want the Vampires to get you right?" He interjected 'Eh they might be more interesting-' But she cut him off "Then what do you want?" Kraven hesitated before answering. 'I want entertainment...And not just slaughter, mayhem, chaos, blah blah blah.' He explained in a bored tone and Sia got an idea. "Okay what if I play with you? If you loan me your power so I can get my revenge and protect those I care about. I vow to play whatever you want everyday...And you'll get some action on top of it all. Deal?" Kraven was so silent she began to think he was ignoring her.

That was until suddenly in a swirl of black smoke the very Demon she had been speaking to in her head, now appeared before her. Though she could tell he wasn't actually there since his body waved in and out of existence. Nevertheless his presence was intimidating, especially as her peered down at her with his yellow eyes like he was debating whether she would be a good entree or not. 'Deal....But if you prove to bore me as well. I get to devour your little soul.' His demand caused her to gulp but she didn't have much of a choice, she was dead anyway. "Deal." With a grin Kraven swirled back into the Claymore. 'Survive this and I'll give you all your desires.' Kraven explained but the human man spoke up with his last breath "Please...Avenge my comrades..." with that strange marks started appearing up her arm and she was pulled into some kind of ethereal world where Kraven resided.

Awhile later she woke up and the Claymore was suddenly a lot lighter, light enough she could carry it though it did take effort. It wasn't long until she got to experience Kraven's power firsthand as she came upon a straggling Vampire. It was a tough battle, she didn't come out unscathed, but in the end she destroyed the bloodsucker. About 6 months later their demonic bond was much stronger as was Sia herself. This was when she came across another one of those humans in uniform, a girl this time. The girl was completely surprised she already had a Cursed Gear, which she would learn later was what all Demon possessed weapons were called. The girl's name was Rinka, she was a soldier of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, a human army that used Demon's to fight back and kill Vampires. Rinka recruited her into the army and helped her get her strength back as well as trained her in swordsmanship and how to unlock even more of Kraven's power. They became fast friends and unlike others Sia didn't judge Rinka for being a Hiragi, not that she liked the other Hiragi's but she didn't judge on a last name, but on the person.

Sia eventually rose up the ranks in her 4 years of being apart of the army, she was Sergeant now and Rinka was her Squad Leader.
