Fandom Secrets of The Forest (CS Thread, The Forest AU)

30 passengers, 2 pilots, and 4 flight attendants had boarded
the Southern International Flight to Egypt.
Only 6 remain, stranded on an island with dangers unknown and
nothing more than a poorly kept survival guide to
keep themselves alive. Will this group of lucky survivors pull
together to keep afloat? Or will they be consumed by the
never ending secrets of the forest?

Spoiler: Violet "Vi" Jamison

Name: Violet Jamison

Occupation before the crash: Bartender
Reason for being on the plane: She was hired to serve drinks at a wedding in Egypt and planned to do some sight seeing in the meantime.
Were they alone?: Yes
Survival Skills (If any): Surprisingly very knowledgeable about berries and mushrooms that grow in the wild and which ones are safe to eat. She went on a nature retreat for work and got really interested in foraging. The best drinks are made with wild ingredients.
Brief History: Violet was raised primarily by her aunt after her mother abandoned their family. Her father worked odd hours to make ends meet, leaving him very little time to actually watch his daughter grow up. She didn't resent him for it, even at a young age. Instead, she learned everything she could from her aunt and strove to help pull her weight as soon as she was old enough to work. She was hired under the table at the local bar at age 17 to make drinks and worked herself to the bone until she had a suitable reputation. By 23, she started making more off her contracted jobs than her hourly wage at the bar. While she continues to work both jobs, she spends most of her time traveling for work.
Personality: Vi is an outspoken young woman who isn't afraid to make the first move to be friends. She's honest, but a good secret keeper. She'd dance herself dizzy around the truth before she spilled anyone's beans. She has a natural charisma that made her an excellent bartender in the first place. She can be incredibly hard headed and gets herself into trouble standing up for others.

Name: Dr. Jason Hawkins

Age: 35

Gender: Male

Occupation before the crash: Jason is a medical doctor and a specialist in communicable disease.

Reason for being on the plane: Jason was traveling to attend a conference in Cairo at which he would be learning new information about a novel flue virus that seemed to be spreading among birds in the region with possible vectors for animal to human transmission.

Were they alone? (Note, any characters not belonging to someone else are likely dead): Two of his colleagues were on the flight as well, but neither will survive the crash.

Survival Skills (If any): As a medical doctor, Jason has emergency medical skills although he tends to spend more time in a lab or pouring through medical journals than treating patients, so his bedside manner may be somewhat rusty. His work has required him to travel and work in a number of different countries and climates, so he adapts quickly to his surroundings.

Brief History: Jason's father was a family Doctor in a rural setting in Pennsylvania. He saw the impact that his father had on their local community, but also the strain that the increasingly obscure and complicated medical industry took on his father's wellbeing. He took his father's passion for caring for the members of his community and expanded his view to include the human race. he wanted to be on the front lines of combatting disease, especially in the corners of the world that were often denied the kind of care his father had given his community.

Personality: Jason is a reserved and mercurial figure. Years of study of micro-organisms, virus transmission vectors, and data around disease outbreaks does little for one's social skills. He is at him best when faced with a medical crisis in which he has the knowledge and skill to take action, but in situations that require a socially deft touch, he is often out of his depth and may come across as aloof or reserved. He is genuinely motivated to be of help to his fellow man and that desire does hopefully override some of his faults.
