Oh boy here we go... again..

Heyo folks, Hen here. I've been on and off the site recently as my workload is rather all over the place at the moment. Seems that things have calmed down somewhat on my end for now so I thought I would take the time to throw this on the forums. I tend to reply between once a few days to a week depending on my mindset at the time and I prefer to write in the 3rd person. My writing length tends to be on the large side, usually two to three paragraphs depending on the situation or once more, my mindset. I can go smaller or even larger if its requested; furthermore I don't mind romance but I prefer to leave it as a 'open' option. I rarely plan for it to happen as its just turns out to be a "Why don't they just kiss already!?" situation. A far as my advice goes, if you want a bit of romance; try a bit of flirting with your character. If mine ignores it or something that doesn't necessarily mean 'no romance'. Pick yourself up and try again at a later time, I feel that relationships should forge over time and not just be a feral feeling like its mating season. :xFwink:

What do I look for in a partner? To be honest, it's difficult to take into account everyone's individuality so I just have a couple of ground-rules.

1: I don't mind brave, 'putting myself first in every situation characters' but eventually your luck will run out and given whatever the situation may be, you could very well end up dead. So with that, I prefer characters that aren't walking gods that can shrug off whatever comes their way. That said, I don't mind characters that have specialist skills or experience but even a veteran doesn't win every-single-time. I guess i'm one of those people that enjoys failure and over-coming challenges than waltzing through anything and everything.

2: I don't mind the odd spelling/grammar error, i'm just as bad so don't worry about it.

3: Whilst I do my best to build a world with plenty of lore, I would really like for a partner to pick up the torch once in a while. It gets rather dull for me if I have to lead every session in terms of situations, pacing and placings of locations/objects. I get the feeling that my partner is no longer interested in the RP if they only ever respond to what my character does/writes. The most common excuse I've heard whenever I have challenged such lack-luster is usually "I don't want to mess with your world/lore." I do not mind alternate things happening; in fact, I really enjoy new situations that I perhaps hadn't thought of in the first place. So please, do not be afraid to put forward contributions to the story's development and can help generate ideas, I do not bite! <3

Things I am craving at the moment:

I've been wanting to take a break from group Rps for a while now, mainly because I just don't find them as enjoyable anymore. Perhaps even more weirdly ~ for me, I've been thinking about branching out of my initial interests. Seeing the same cliché characters and situations pop up in a post-apocalyptic world can become a bit wearisome after a while. I've originally always had a interest in action, survival and warfare RPs and perhaps like a weary soldier ~ I've grown tired of war. Therefore I am looking to try something new for me, whether that be a adventure RP; setting out into the world to discover something amazing or delving deep into the political sphere of Medieval Nobility. I haven't done a slice of life RP in many years now so that could always be a thing. Heading out to explore new planets and live life amongst the stars sounds rather interesting too!

I just want to break the cycle, stop going in circles and see what else is out there. <3
