Realistic or Modern SCHOOL OF BADASSDOM

Aubrey nodded, "True, Jess, true. Thank you, and yes my summer was amazing!" Aubrey checked her phone, "You know, I'm not actually surprised you went on your phone do send this." Aubrey laughs and types in response, so going to be there! *purple heart emoji*

Celia

Celia walked through the halls hearing the several footsteps and mindless chatter of bubbly children, what a pain. -Bzzz- she came to a halt feeling her phone vibrate in her right pocket and reached for it sliding the device open in a flash, she squinted mumbling the small printed text along with other responses that soon flooded into the chat, Celia saw no reason to participate in lengthy conversation so she just sent a simple "chill" in return to the public text.

She made her way through the halls slowly, finding no point in rushing to class, her dark green eyes searched for her first period class while stopping to give out a view winks to flustered pink faced on lookers "
How adorable.." Celia whispered to herself in small satisfaction but soon shrugged it off seeing as how she was a few minutes late for class.

Mitchell

The buzzing sound of Mitchell's phone trapped within the fabric of his pocket got his attention pretty quickly. He pulled out his flip phone and flicked it open, almost dropping it when he read the mass text his number had somehow been included in.

"A party? Are you for real?" He closed his phone, not bothering to answer. Kids like him weren't likely encouraged to come, even though they were invited. Still, he couldn't stop his mind from wandering far away from him. Romeo and Juliette met at a party, becoming star crossed lovers who felt love full and fast. They were foolish and their haste became their downfall, but it still brought a certain air of intrigue to the idea of parties.

In fairy tales, a prince holds a ball for all the fair people of the kingdom to attend. Masks hide the true self, and love can be found from the lips of a stranger. Romance, mystery and probably a bit of inebriation. That's what a party was in Mitchell's mind. Of course, he had never actually attended one before, so it was just as likely that parties were a place where people talked, got smashed and made bad decisions. Who was he to say?

He waved goodbye to Kylie before heading into his classroom, setting his textbook out on the desk and silently hoping that nobody would sit next to him during his first period of the day. Or at the very least, it wasn't one of the jocks he's so used to picking on him who became his tablemate.

Coraline finished setting up her locker. The song that was now playing on her phone was, "Tragic Magic" by Falling in Reverse. Out of boredom Coraline walked through the halls humming to the music, accidentally bumping into some people during it, but you know, what else can you do when your in a crowded hallway, pole dance? No.

Then her phone beeped, the text was from Jessaline, it said there was a party, "Bullshit..." Coraline mumbled as she continued to walk through the crowd, Coraline would think about going but her kind... As people like to call the weirdos weren't really liked if they came to a party, looking completely different than the rest of the people, with our dark clothes and such. Coraline didn't even decide to respond, since it was a complete use of her fingers.

Jess glanced down at the clock on her phone, and decided that maybe, just for the first day, she'd be punctual. Or punctual-ish.

"See you guys around." she said to her friends, then turned, still holding her juice, and made her way to her first period. She shot a smile at the teacher when she entered the classroom, and then scanned the students. One guy shot her a suggestive smile, which she returned with a sharp look that said "screw off".

Spotting an empty seat beside a bespectacled boy that seemed mostly harmless, she made her way over, plastering one of her rare friendly smiles. "Mind if I sit here?" Without waiting for a response, she dropped into the seat, dumping her bag beside the desk.

She retrieved a notebook from her bag and began penciling some melodies from her head, humming lightly as she went. "What's your name, by the way? I'm sure you know who I am." Jess asked him, without looking up.

Lane felt his phone vibrate. He pulled it out and read the text and read it. He didn't like parties, they're too loud and crowded and people bump into each other and get horrifically drunk, not to mention that he never really gets invited. This being said he did plan to attend, it could be quite the experience. Just then he fumbled and dropped his phone. He rushed to pick it up deciding he would check it while in class. He sped walk to class, sat in the closest seat to the door and checked his broken phone. He lied his head on the desk and groaned.

Melanie

Melanie smiled at the party girl as she joined them, and glanced down at the text on her phone. She wrote a quick ‘of course’ to the invitation, before putting the pink smartphone back in her skirt pocket. Then she glanced over at Colton. “Hope to see you there too, if you ever take some free time from your activities,” she joked.

Then she put a hand on Aubrey’s arm. “Promise to tell me all about your Italy trip later,” she said and smiled at her.

"Yeoboseyo, you have mail!" A cheery Korean boy's voice came from her smartphone, stirring Elizabeth from her sleep. Hesitantly, she opened her eyes and grabbed the phone to see what the hell was bothering her blissful slumber. A text had gone through, there would be a party later. But more importantly, she was horribly late for school. With a shocked gasp, the brunette all but jumped from her bed and dashed towards the bathroom, washing up and getting herself ready and presentable in a record time of less than 5 minutes. Deciding that today was definitely not the day to be meticulous, Liz put on a fresh pair of teal pajamas, grabbed her sling bag and headed down.

On the way, she crossed paths with her 'butler', Scott. The middle-aged caretaker gave her a warm smile and a curt bow. "You have a good day, Elizabeth." She returned the gesture. "You, too. Don't forget to feed Butts!" She didn't stay for long and rushed for her car, determined to make it before she's
really late. She turned on the engine, slammed the gas pedal and sped off towards school. Teslas have amazing acceleration, so with a bit of reckless driving, Liz was in the parking lot of Lynchfield, far sooner than expected. Uttering a few words of encouragement to herself, she exited the car and entered the facility, ready to take on her dreaded first day of school.

Her entrance drew quite a few looks, most of them confused. Who could blame them, she
was wearing pajamas. Liz found her locker and grabbed her notebook from inside it. Now it was off to the library, quite possibly the quietest and most tranquil place in the school.

Annalise Annalise pulled into the school's parking lot just as her bag started vibrating. Pulling out her phone, she saw a massive group text inviting her, and probably the rest of the world, to Jessaline's party. She had to admit, she was a bit shocked that she even got invited, not that the guest list was exactly exclusive. It's just that the one person in high school who is adamantly against underage drinking, premarital sex, drugs, and revealing clothes isn't the first person you think of inviting to these types of functions.

Pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind, Annalise got out of her car and waded through the crowd. Being slightly taller than most people, did have its advantages, since she could see a few feet ahead and get through the hallways fractionally faster. Finally, Anna arrived at her locker. She opened it up and started unloading some of her textbooks, and organizers. The less time she had to spend looking for her books, the more time she could spend in class. Clutching her notebook, Anna walked to class imagining what it would be like to be anywhere but here.

Craig had arrived six minutes late, seeing as they'd have to cut him some slack since it was the first day, Craig always took advantage of the extra time allotted to him. He walked through the school's empty corridors with an unlit cigarette hanging from his lips. He continually readjusted his jacket as he neared his class. Before he entered his class his phone vibrated in his pocket. Taking his time to enter the classroom, Craig yanked out his phone and checked the text promptly.

Party at my house, 8pm. You should know the way

He slipped the cigarette out of his mouth and placed it in the pocket of his jacket. With out anything else to do to stall, Craig slowly entered the classroom while the teacher was at the desk, occupied by the overwhelming onslaught of paperwork and new students. Craig quickly found a single seat towards the front corner of the class as it was the only desk left open. Craig never liked sitting in the front, as it often led him to blocking many other's view of the class.

Moss green eyes widened in shock. It took Mitchell a moment to recover before he pushed up on the edge of his glasses, looking at the blond who had so unceremoniously sat beside him. "It's..Mitchell." His nose flared, wrinkling slightly at the scent of alcohol that seemed to be clinging to his new desk buddy. Or maybe he was just smelling the bottle she had been carrying around.

He pulled out his copy of Pride and Prejudice once again, trying to find some sort of excuse to busy himself if the conversation became too uncomfortable. "You didn't really mean to invite the entire school to that...thing, did you?" There was a part of him that wanted to go, just to see what all the fuss was about. He could always duck out early, or just spend his time observing the other students who would attend. Besides, he couldn't be the only socially awkward student who was curious enough to go. He would find people to mingle with...right?

With a grumble, Liz realized that she had no time to catch up reading in the library, so she headed towards her first class. Inside, it was mostly full. She could spot a number of familiar faces, but most were new, judging from how shocked they were at seeing the brunette in her PJ's. This was an excellent opportunity to make new friends. This was what made going back to school oh so sweet. Without further ruminating, she claimed a seat that was close to the front of the class. In front of her was a dashing white-haired boy who looked quite down. Always the aspiring problem-solver, she gave him a tap on the shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey, what's got you so down this early in the day?" Liz asked, flashing her trademark diplomat's smile.

Jess scribbled another note before turning to take in his face, saving a mental image linked to his name.
Mitchell... okay. she thought to herself. She reached for her bottle and took another drink from it before setting it down again. Crossing her legs, she shot him a sideways glance as she scanned her notebook, looking for any particular part of the melody she needed to give second thoughts.

"Of course I meant to send it to the whole school." The blonde turned and tipped her head to one side. "Why wouldn't I? Back to school parties are always the best to get a look at some of the new blood." She turned back and eyed one of the heads in front of her. "Plus, it's a great way to meet new people. Which I gather that a large portion of the student population needs to do right now." Jess winced again as her head pounded once more, and she reached for her drink again. As she twisted open the cap, her eyes darted to the cover of his book. "Great choice of books, by the way. Jane Austen's a personal fav for classics."

Brushing her hair behind her shoulder, she took a few sips before screwing the bottlecap back on and stowing the bottle into her bag before resuming her work on melodies. "Oh, and by the way, I don't plan on listening in class, so I'd appreciate if you don't rat me out, yeah?" Her words seemed friendly and polite enough, but it was only a single layer over a threat to set the jocks on him. Thinly-veiled threats are what high school's all about, anyways.

Aubrey smiled, "Well of course I will." Aubrey looked on her iPhone and noticed the time, "I should be going, you know, its never good being late on the first day back from summer. See you at lunch, Mel." Aubrey quickly hugged Melanie and sashayed through the halls to her next class.

Once she got to her class Aubrey waved at the teacher, "Happy back to school, teach." She then made her way to one of the seats in the middle of the classroom.

Mitchell

He smiled for a moment. Jane Austen really was one of the best authors when he felt like reading the classics. The way she wrote strong heroines in a time where women were more like paintings than people. He only hoped that his excitement for this party wouldn't rival Lydia's excitement for the ball. "She's one of my favorite classic authors as well."

However her next statement made the hairs on his arms stand on end. Just when he thought that maybe he'd gotten a break from sitting next to bullies and jocks, the next best thing was right beside him. The smile was quickly wiped from his face as he shrunk into himself a bit and stared forward to where the teacher was preparing things for class. "I'll be paying attention to class, so how would I know if you were listening or not?" he replied tensely, hoping that it would pacify her without making him look even more like a carpet to be walked all over on the first day of school.

Coraline made her way towards her next class, now blasting in her earbuds the song "Polly" by Nirvana. It took Coraline a few minutes but she finally made it to her first class of the day. Coraline hoped there wouldn't be anyone she hated, which was a lot of people, but not everyone. Coraline walked into the classroom and looked around, good there wasn't anyone in class that she didn't like... Yet... Coraline walked towards the back of the class, took off her leather jacket and placed it on her chair then sat down with her arms crossed on the table as she laid her head on them, waiting for class to start, continuing to listen to her music.

Annalise Annalise made her way into the classroom and sat in the back at a desk against the wall. She had learned many years ago that being tall, and sitting in the front don't mix. So despite her desire to learn, she willingly sat in the back to avoid unwanted complaints. She slid her bag off her shoulder and set it down on the floor next to her chair. Playing with the necklace sitting in the hollow of her throat, she patiently waited for the teacher to arrive, and the class to begin.

He looked to the girl who had approached him and held up his phone that was now covered in cracks. "I dropped my phone, a fate most would agree to be worse than dropping your infant child fresh out of the vagina." He spoke a bit too seriously with the line clearly meant to be a joke. "So I broke my phone the first of school." He ran his finger up and down the cracks.

Teacher

"Alright get your heads out of your rears and get ready to learn, there's a single text book inside of your desk so don't come whining to me about being confused since there's no reason to, if you don't have one just share with the person next to you." Mr.McCabe ran his thick fingers through his glistening grease covered hair, he hopped onto the cushioned Spinny chair twisting around to write his name on the board in giant thin letters.

"The name's Mr.McCabe you kids can call me Michael, now that I've introduced myself we're going to do that middle school activity crap. I'll point at random towards any student and each of you have to tell me your names. It'll be easier to get them instead of making kids sticking on jolly stickers to your damn chests" his New York accent could be heard only slightly, the tall man squinted, his dark hazel eyes hovering over the class. "You." He pointed his ruler at the blonde sitting in the middle of the classroom "Tell me your name, Get on with it, then choose someone to speak."

Sensing the tension in his voice, Jess arched an eyebrow, cast one look at him and returned to her music, now with a bemused smile spread across her lips. "Relax." Scribbling the final rest, she flipped to a new page. The blonde turned to face him again.

"Look, Mitchell. You're the kid that keeps being picked on by the jocks, right?" she pursed her lips in thought, and put on a mildly condescending, mostly kind smile. "If I were a jock, I'd have punched you by now. If I were Aubrey, I'd be plotting your demise. But I'm Jessie and I'm making small talk with you."

"As long as you're nice to me, I won't mess with you. Stop being so terrified." she continued, laughing a little at his worry. Jess reached for her phone and smirked cheekily. "I do hope you're going to the party. You need the rep support."

Catching sight of the teacher beginning to speak, she turned her attention to her phone and began scrolling tumblr, feeling a twinge of pity for the girl that was called out by Mr. McCabe.

Her lips pouted. "That's a damn shame. But there are worse things you can do on your first day," she said. "I speak from experience." She cringed inwardly as the rather embarassing memory flashed through her mind. Indeed, Liz's first day of 10th grade involved crashing her uncle's old car into the principal of her old school's private garden. Needless to say, she didn't last long there.

She would have gone into more talk, but then the teacher walked in. Or not. Frankly, the man up front looked nothing like a teacher. Regardless, the brunette adjusted her position and paid attention to what this 'Michael' had in store for the class.

Coraline took one earbud and looked up from resting her head on her arms and pointed at her self with her eyebrows raised, "Me, well," Coraline waved awkwardly at the teacher, "I'm Coraline Woods, I like the color black, music and... Um thats it." Coraline said quickly and looked around the room for his next victim, "Err, lets go with..." Coraline pointed to Jessaline, "You." @Mayfly @Galactic Cloud

"You're just gonna leave me on that? Damn." He chuckled and put his phone in his pocket. He turned to look towards the teacher and sighed lightly. He felt as though this would be a long year. Lane pushed back his heavily bleached hair that always found itself falling into his eyes.

Leina

Leina let out a stressful sigh as she quickly rushed into the school with a large bright leather bag hanging over her shoulder, she had seemed to be late for the first day of school and was very irritated with herself, she didn't even get to show case herself to the several freshman that had flooded into the school this year, oh well, there was always more time next period.

Leina made a turn down the long hallway and finally arrived at her first class, she fixed her hair slightly before walking into the room confidently and raised a hand up waving it slightly.

"sorry I'm late, you know how it is Michael~" she walked down the aisle of desks and spotted a girl in the front with dark hair, Leina shrugged and smiled brightly as she hung her bag over the chair next to her, "The name's Leina, I'm quite sure you know me, and you are?" She turned her head over to look at the student and quickly raised both eyebrows in surprise "Hey aren't you that french girl?"

Mitchell

"Right, no worries Jessaline. And...I might take you up on the party offer." He glanced at the students who began to give roll call, scanning the seats to see just what kinds of people were in the school. It would be good to know some faces before the party he'd just accepted going to anyway. The girl who'd just introduced herself to the class was pretty, but seemed like the sort to keep to herself and punch the nose of anyone who tried to make her change. Then there was one of the cheerleaders, twirling her hair as if it was a contest. Mitchell continued to survey the classroom before feeling his cheeks heat up when they landed on a bleached haired boy sitting in the first row.

"Woah." He said quietly, not realizing he'd actually verbalized it. He'd seen attractive guys, but this guy was something else, Mitchell could tell that much even from a few rows back and to the side. He shook his head, glasses slipping down the bridge of his nose slightly. Now was not the time to be thinking about boys. Especially probably straight boys who he'd never met before. Clutching Pride and Prejudice to his chest, he smiled a little bit. Maybe the party would be a good thing after all? It might give him the opportunity to meet new people. After all, he couldn't be the only boy in the school who wasn't thinking about women at all hours of the day. And making friends of any sort would be beneficial if he wanted to survive highschool in tact.
