! β PERSONALITY :
mostly eremitic and withdrawn, especially at school. soft-spoken. naturally shy and spacey. always day dreaming. hates school because of pressure and anxiety, however is appreciative of the hectic nature that allows her to indulge in bad habits that won't be noticed as easily as the others. very good at hiding her feelings, except to people who may get close enough to know the differences. awkward and constantly overthinking things she says and does. apprehensive to trying new things, in fear that she won't have control. control is her life, it's a big reason why she has an eating disorder. secretly pretty curious and often seeks the why's and how's in life. has a to be more open and try new things, but is scared. feels mostly unnoticed, lonely and lost. can occasionally get into episodes where she spirals into deep depression, skipping school and and aimlessly existing. is truly sweet when she gets past the barrier of acquaintanceship, but it takes a bit to get there. with friends, she's doubtful of their interest in their relationship. always thinks everyone doesn't like her, but isn't vocal about it--just disappears instead. however, with good friends and love she's extremely loyal to the point where she'd do anything for them. could be very overprotective and jealous, but would have a hard time expressing it healthily. would fall in love too hard.
β ! β HISTORY :
born to a 15 year old mother and father. her biological father died of a heroin overdose before she was old enough to remember anything. her mother turned to sex work and eventually married an older man who was a drug dealer. he made a good amount of money so davis and her mom were doing fairly well. he went to jail a couple times throughout her childhood, but eventually stayed out of the law's eye. however throughout her childhood, davis witnessed physical abuse from him onto his mother. and he started grooming her and developing a very one-sided inappropriate dynamic between the two and giving her drugs such as xanax or opiates to keep her sedated. he was also verbally abusive to both davis and her mom, but her mom ignored all of the abuse because she was financially dependent on davis and also had bipolar disorder. the man seemed to exhibit manipulative behavior and would encourage davis to not eat, giving her drugs and telling her she was bad or unattractive as a means to hurt her self-esteem when she would act out at home. she became very shy and quiet because of this and developed an eating disorder because she felt that she was constantly in situations out of her control. her weight and appearance was something she felt like she could control, but in the most destructive way. she began self-harming as well. recently for the last year, her step-dad had gone away to sell drugs in another city and she forced herself to stop taking xanax as much as she did and hoped in fear that he wouldn't come back. although, she never knows when she will. her mother returned to sex work and doing drugs so she tries not to be home as much as she can, but her mother's relationship with her is so hollow it barely matters when she is home. she just hates being around her.
