Fantasy Scholomance Academy of Monster-Slaying (Open and Accepting)

Nyla witnessed the rest of the sibling’s forces destroyed and felt a pang in her heart as they all were swept away by the disgusting creature before them. No bodies to bury, no one will be able to see their loved ones to the afterlife; a cruel and sad fate indeed. Her eyes snap to the white haired siblings, one was shooting the slime with enchanted bullets while the other stood there perfectly poised to draw her sword from its sheathe.

The essence in the air siphoned towards the sword she kept sheathed while the male continues to distract and dodge the slime. Eventually the usually unseen essence that was pooling into the sword would become visible and eventually a bright light shone from the sword even though it was sheathed.

The intense flow of magic made Nyla’s eyes widen, she could see the girl’s aura flowing into the sword as well, as if using her own life-force to steady the influx of magic being pooled into a desperate attack. “Don’t be a fool, you’ll kill yourself!” Nyla shouted at the girl, wishing to end this situation as quickly as possible and avoid anymore death.

As most monsters were sensitive to the works of magic, the silver haired girl siphoning power to her blade did not go unnoticed by the monstrous slime. It’s attention turned towards the girl, despite the brother’s best efforts the bits of the ooze that had been blown off would either reform quickly or land nearby and turn into separate sentient chunks of the monster. Some made their way towards his sister while others made their way towards him.

@the lick

A pile of conscious goo would land near the corner rubble of a long-forgotten building, a semi fused mouth would form and soon the being found a new nearby pretty to target, a boy with long purple hair who seemed to have just arrived. The bubbling ooze approached the male, stinking just as badly as the rest of the slime. The living gelatin would push parts of its mass towards the boy and make it form into a spike, aiming to impale him and probably consume him whole afterwards.
After seeing the creature the boy just sighed "corse....." he leapt back, pulling out his whip as he slung it forward cracking the air with great force. "You foul slime beast!, do you not know who I am, I am nigrim mortem, the black death, the human who ate a monster"

His smile grew widely, he weren't trying to avoid fights because he was scared. He was trying to make sure he didn't lose it. "But if you wanna fight....then fine" using his shadow magic, he placed hus hand into his shadow and pulls out his chaos saber "come on!" He begun to zoom towards the slime.

Andrew saw the slime creatures approaching, and he did the only sensible thing he could: He pulled his revolvers out, and began firing as fast as he could, taking out as many of the creatures as he could. He knew he couldn't fight them forever, but he would then see the Teacher from before trying to stop her. "Miss, get out the way! I trust my sister, and you should as well! "He yelled, though in his body his was screaming with worry.

Isabelle would continue to siphon the magic into her blade, causing the aura around to her react very unstabily. She would, however, look up at the monster, with the hugest smile on her face. "With my sword now, I want all monsters in the world to hear........this is my vow......"She said, as she looked towards the beast, before drawing her blade, as the magic started focusing in her, though many could see that this magic would be hurting her a great deal. However, this didn't seem to do nothing, but embolden her. "This is my vow......of defiance! Monster, it is time for you to go back to the underworld! This is human land, this is a human world!.......GO BACK TO WHERE YOU BELONG!" She then began running towards the monster. However, she began using the magic in the air around her as a.......catalyst. Every time she jumped, she detonated it, causing her to be sent higher. She proceeded to do this, until she was above it's head.

Taking her sword in both hands, she raised it above her head, before she let it come crashing down. A sound akin to a dragon's roar would emit from this woman, as the magic would lash from her blade, striking the creature full force. IT would be blasted in half from the sheer weight of it. Though Isabelle knew she did a number, Isabelle saw that it's heart crystal was still intact. They needed to do one last strike.......but Isabelle was falling from the sky, her energy spent. She would look towards her brother before yelling. "
Andrew! Now!"

Andrew saw her falling from the sky, before he would put his revolvers back, and aim his rifle at the crystal. He then closed his eyes as he heard something overhead......a bird? His eyes would shoot open as he quickly took aim, and fired. This bullet would swore through the air quicker than normal......and run straight through the crystal. Andrew would then watch as the being roared, before it began dissolving, the creatures attaacking the students now looking at them with......fear? Soon, the monsters would retreat back into the forest, as Andrew would run to where his sister had fallen. "Heh.....heh......you're fucking crazy, you know that sis?"He asked,

Isabelle would simply stand up, though wobbily, before yelling. "Andrew.......THAT WAS AWESOME!"She yelled, before she heard......cheering? The two siblings would look over, and most of the surviving students, though there were few left, were stepping forward, cheering them on. Isabelle would stare at them all, before her grin would just return, as she looked towards Andrew.

Andrew would return the grin, before seeing the group of teachers at the edge of the forest......among them? His sister. He was in too much of a good mood to be pissy, to so he chose to be snarky. "So, oh 'brilliant' sister of mine.......when can we eat? I'm starving. "He said, and truthfully he was. Going through a forest with little to no hope of survival was rather draining.

Kelli would stare in upmost shock to see her two siblings were still standing, though she could see they were drained, both physically and mentally. She would close her eyes, sending a slight thank-you prayer to Godiva, before looking towards the remaining stuents. "First years! IF you have injuries, see the Lady of Aura for healing.........Miss Nyla, please see too it that the students are tended too properly. The Exam is official over......welcome to the academy. "She would say, before turning to look towards Smiley. "Consider yourself 'very' lucky, Alistair......Your child still lives. "She said, before walking to get things prepped at the school.

Yongzheng sighed as he finally made it to the clearing where the other students had gathered. He had sustained no wounds nor encountered hostile monsters. He looked around the clearing and saw several fellow students suffering from various degrees of injuries. He couldn't heal anything major but he did his best to assist in the healing of the injured.

He broke out his tools of healing and attended to anyone within range first, knitting flesh together with stitches and disinfecting wounds. He entered into an enlightened state in order to attend to the large amounts of injured people present. He began healing wounds with incantations and healing talismans. He also stopped the loss of blood from various students who were bleeding copiously. He felt the strain of his powers and quickly cut them off, leaving the rest of the injuried to the teachers

It had been only a few hours since Sebastian had heard of the Scholomance school, and he had boarded an old steam engine train with the elf he had met just a day earlier. The train had more passengers than he expected so he sat in a middle seat amongst the others being sure not to hide his mask, and placed his father's cane to the empty seat on his left. Many of the others would stare, glance, or murmer about his mysterious appearance, but he did not care. He welcomed the gossip. Surely anyone who wears a mask all the fin would be some form of teacher. When asked about this, Sebastian merely responded that he was another student, doing so in a positive manner. The elf sat next to him, his glowing blue eyes filled with concern.

"Y'know, wearing that mask all the time can brand you an outcast. Are you sure you want to wear it all the time? It's better for you to show your face and be one with the crowd." The elf said, sipping a bottle of grape soda. Sebastian smiled under the mask, patting his friends shoulder.

"True, I may be seen as a weirdo but I don't mind." Sebastian replied. "I don't intend on being alone either, when the first group forms count me in. Besides I wear it for my father." He tapped a simple rhythm with his feet, adding some cheer to the uneasy crowd of students. The elf sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"Well I only want you to be safe, Sebastian, monster slaying is not for the loners." He chuckled, reaching into his robes. "I have something for you." The elf pulled out an antiquated wheel lock pistol of simple wooden make and design.

"A pistol?" Sebastian scoffed.

"Not just any pistol boy" the elf scorned, "this pistol can shoot pure Arcane energy which is drawn from your own energy. Call it an instant spell if you like. The only real draw back is that it takes twenty seconds to fully recharge. Take it." He said, handing the pistol to Sebastian, who hesitated.

"Are you sure? You've helped me a lot already." Sebastian said, lowering his head in shame. 'It's true, this elf has given me a lot since he saved me from that demon.' He thought, tears forming.

"Just take it, you'll need it more" The elf insisted. Sebastian took the gun feeling the energy stored within pulse gently in his hands. He smiled, placing it in his jacket pocket.

"Thank you friend." Sebastian gratefully said.

The elf smiled and pulled a hood over his head to nap. Sebastian watched out the window, gazing upon the ruins of former cities ravaged by war. It was a horrible sight seeing once glorious structures of humanity reduced to safe havens for Angels, Demons, and monsters. That would change once Sebastian became a Hunter, a bastion of light against the unending darkness.

The train screeched to a halt outside a dark and gloomy forest. The other students swarmed out of the train, like bees leaving their hive. As Sebastian left, he grabbed his father's cane and carefully stepped over his sleeping friend, joining the crowd of students who have massed around a large sign with the following words written in a fading red ink.

"To proceed to our halls and gain the knowledge to venture past our halls, pass through this forest and live. But beware what dwells within, there is no turning back past this point so if you are afraid turn Heel, and return to the station. No one will blame you. You have been warned young one."

Sebastian felt the ill omen sweep over him, he hesitated, was it really was to enter a dangerous forest just to attend a school? Some others had also thought about this and returned to the station, but for Sebastian there was no choice. He must attend Scholomance, and it appeared that a group of students were rallying together so Sebastian joined their ranks, readying his pistol in his left hand with his father's cane on the right. Together, they marched into the Silent Forest.

Rea headed to the clearing where everyone was gathered at. She felt bored and useless when the fight commenced. While the others were fighting she was exploring the goddamn forest. She growled, angry at herself for not having the chance to vanquish any tough monsters. She had no injuries, which she was glad about that.

She looked at her soon-to-be classmates. Some had fatal injuries while others had minor ones. She just smiled and shook her head, glad that nobody died.

@Andraus

Nyla would gasp as the dragon's roar resonates throughout the forest and soon the slime was cleaved in half. Its core was revealed and the brother delivered the final blow as the sister fell from. The sister was on the ground breathing but unmoving. By her side, the silver haired boy celebrated his sister’s accomplishment. The slime dissipated into nothingness from whence it came and the day was saved. Now came the aftermath: bodies strewn across the forest floor, blood soaking into the earth, and injured crying for help.

The headmistress and the other teachers that had been watching from afar arrived and welcomed the students to their new home. The headmistress would barely have to open her mouth after the welcome and Nyla knew exactly what to do. Her blue hues passed over each student, analyzing their auras in order to judge the severity of their wounds. She then swept through the crowd, healing their injuries and soothing their undoubtedly scarred minds.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw a male administering care to several fellow classmates, a smile and a nod of approval and thanks were directed towards him. With so little of the students surviving, Nyla would take as much help as offered as she couldn’t heal all the wounded. Some injuries were completely healed and others would take a couple of days to return functions.

She finally approached the white-haired siblings, kneeling on the ground where the swordswoman lay, carefully examining the girl. Nyla winced at the burns that trailed throughout Isabelle's forearms; it looked as if they were struck by lightning. "It was foolish if you to do such a thing...You could have killed yourself, or worse everyone around you!" The Mistress of Aura’s hands began to glow as they held one of her arms, a tingling sensation followed by cold alleviate the burns while the skin began to cinch back together.

Face glistening with sweat as her power was spent by healing the children. She looked towards the brother "I don't see any injuries on you...are you hurt?" she asked, wishing that he would be the last that needed healing.

Yongzheng sat down to recover his breath. He had expended a large amount of spirit energy. Even if he had a monstrous recovery rate, he still needed to recover from the strain healing put on his body.

One teacher had smiled and nodded at him and he simply nodded back. There were no words needed to convey her thoughts. His thoughts overrided the welcome the faculty was giving them. He didn't really care about congratulations. He had made it this far and wasn't about to quit. This school was definitely going to be interesting.

As it's name suggested, the Silent Forest was indeed silent. No birds sang, no animals called, there wasn't even a breeze to rustle the trees around them. Sebastian's group advanced, with a confident woman leading them along a ruined road. Suddenly a large roach-like creature appeared from the forest, startling the group, and in the commotion Sebastian stepped on a spring trap, sending him flying through the forest, accidentally setting off his pistol causing a concentrated stream of purple energy to shoot out into the forest grazing trees and thankfully missing other students. However the force caused by the shot sent him flying even farther, causing him to crash land in a spot that was far away from his group.

"Oof... Instant spell? More like instant flight. Well that could've gone worse." Sebastian groaned painfully. When he tried to get up, a sharp pain in his stomach stopped him, and when he checked himself he found a large branch impaling through his stomach. "And it just got worse, damn." Loud noises of combat and screams filled the air, breaking the silence. Hopefully no one was injured, but if there were large bugs in the vicinity surely other possibly worse creatures could be lurking. "Shel's blood, this officially sucks!" He yelled angrily. Realizing the grim situation, Sebastian had to move and get to the other side of the forest. First he had to mend his wounds without a healer, then find a path where there were few monsters and he had to do so quickly or else he would bleed out eventually.

In order to fix the impalement problem, Sebastian figured he could remove the branch then use a ward spell to keep his blood in his body while using ice magic to null the pain. A tall order considering he had no proper conductor to fuel the ward magic. Before removing the branch, Sebastian drew a magic circle to center any residual energy from the forest causing an aura of blue Arcane to envelop him, and by using all his strength he pulled the branch out from his body making a load bellowing cry that might've been heard for miles.

"Gah! Mmmph okay keep it together..." He said to himself, conjuring energy. "Brelnor Meshtek Sai'Latus!) He chanted, shaping the magic into a perfect plug for his wound. Pain riddled his body, making it incredibly difficult to move, and unfortunately he used his entire reserve of energy to make the seal so it would be a long excruciating day at best. Using his father's cane, Sebastian pushed himself up limping back to the path, finding the Roach creature beheaded.

" Serves you right" he spat. As Sebastian limped along the path, nighttime had fallen which meant more beasts could be lurking. The forest was again silent, any other students had to have already finished or been killed by now making him the last one in the forest. It was both soothing and unsettling because the other students could have killed most of the monsters making the trip much safer.

Hours passed, and finally Sebastian had made it through the forest finding a grand structure standing like a beacon of hope. Some other students were still out, either waiting or mourning and when a strange woman with flowing silver hair approached him, he only asked one question.

"Do you have a nurse here?"

Rosemarie Leighton

The young female ran her hands through her hair, exasperated. Her mother hadn't trusted her to get the train to the school - though her fears had been well founded, the idea of having an escort was appalling - especially as she figured she could take down Eric the big back of meat who was her escort if need be. She eyed him warily, not only was she late because of the sack of meat, but she was the only one going into the renowned forest, and the whisky she had been drinking on the way here probably had a not so positive effect on her skill. She mused on that taking another long swing.

Her motivation to stop moping about her degrading circumstances came from seeing the old and rotting sign at the edge of the forest with a clear warning which sent a chill down her spine. The Silent forest. It was that moment that made her understand why people so often though that nothing was scarier than silence. It left a person vulnerable, every sound, whimper, crunch of leaves resonated and echoed in the space but with her light and nimble feet Rosemarie stepped lightly, as stealthy as an alley cat, even in her slightly intoxicated state. She didn't turn around once she stepped inside the cloaking forest, knowing Eric the ball of sack wouldn't follow her ahead, his job was done, whereas hers had only began. The journey through the forest was simple, being what she suspected last meant all the monsters she expected were lying in heaps, mutilated by guns and swords, slime and goo covering trees and grass. She avoided those spaces, but she had to admit that their presence gave her comfort as amidst the shrubs she was able to tell her way.

And then came the moment the journey stopped going so smooth. She cried out in pain as something hit her back while she was examining a dead beast and with my guard down, she flew into a tree about 10 feet from where she had been previously crouching. Wincing at an incoming pain at the back of her head she scrambled up, half sitting and disorientated and assessed the beast infront of her. A Psi-hound, a rabid demon dog half a meter tall snarled from where she had previously been. Psi-hounds had their coats covered in slime that caused burns in contact, welts that would stay around for days, removing any possibility for hand to hand combat and therefore removing any chance of her decapitating the creature.

In the blink of the eye that she managed to asses this information, the creature had pounced towards her - trained to kill and rip to shreds all humans and untouchable to one, she rolled away as quickly as she should manage, away from the deadly beast, and when it pounced again she had her pocket dagger out, ready to slash it until it landed on top of the girl and all thoughts of attack were replaced with excruciating pain as the smell of burnt leather and flesh filled her senses as she let our a shrill scream of pain. She pushed through the pain, holding the knife out weakly as she focused on blocking the impending jaws of the monster away from me with my burning hands. With a moments thought she buried the knife inside the neck of the best who released a sound between a growl and a yelp, and black blood sprayed out of the wound. In the instant the animal was wounded, it stopped burning her as it attempted to conserve it's energy.

Pushing the animal off Rosemarie leaped away, letting the monster die as she landed on her hands and knees choking and fighting against giving into the pain of the burns on her sides and arms. Even though she had killed it, she felt defeated as she gathered her strength for a moment before finally pushing herself up warily.

I just need to get out of here. That became her mantra as she walked, brushing against trees as she leaned on them for support until she finally reached an opening. The clearing was filled with people, some milling around, mourning, others as tired as she. She gathered the last of her strength and stood up straighter, walking towards the people in her torn clothes and burns.

Tama Yoshimitsu

w4YDV3J.jpg

Throughout the entire battle between the students against the large slime-like creature; although not physically seen from how Tama had been standing, he had been making sure to take multiple notes about each of the fighting styles of each of the new students for this year. Knowing exactly where he was going to be training the newer students in their flaws and making sure to take usual uses of their strengths as well. "Interesting..Indeed.." As he spoke with himself until the battle came to an end; once it had finally finished, the first to actually speak up towards the white haired instructor just so happened to had been none other then Allistair once more, directing his own crystal blue gaze over towards the grinning male; the only thing Tama would do in response at first was simply give a shake of his head along with a low chuckle. "Hah. Not at all Mr. Allistair. I had simply been observing the new students. They seem..to work rather well together. However, as you must see; they have a long way to go. This battle took much longer then expected against such a simple beast." Stating his own small notes about the whole fact, as the headmistress stated up right after about those who were wounded could be healed by yet another one of the other instructors known as 'Nyla', Tama had only nodded his head to himself yet again before finally gripping a firm hold of the hilt of his blade and yanking it out from the ground itself; turning his back towards the group of students who were to be healed; he immediately began to progress his way towards the school along with the headmistress.

Only coming to a mere halt for a moment as he had kept his own attention forward throughout the entire time he would speak.
"Mr. Allistair. I think, it is just about time...for us to return tot he academy. Do you not agree? We have much to prepare for these students...and I am quite sure. You have some surprises for them up your own sleeves, do you not?" As Tama spoke once more, the last thing to leave his lips was his own silent chuckles yet again.

Kyosuke Nishikawa

o4ivxl6.jpg

After finally defeating the group of undead along with informing the Lich that had summoned the creatures to leave only to return when it was stronger to face Kyosuke again another time; the dark haired male simply began to continue on his way forward towards the direction of the academy once more. Knowing well enough that as he had left the outskirts of the large dead city; he was going to no doubt be passing right by the Silent Forest where the first year students were going to be attending their trials to see if they were fit enough to truly be trained by the academy for such tasks. This held no concern to Kyosuke simply since who passed or not had nothing to do with him since he hadn't known really any of them to begin with, the only thing that had mattered to him at the current time being was for him to reach the academy and get his schedule for the year so that he could begin training and learning more about his own abilities that he may have already not known about.

Just as he had taken about a step or so forward upon the large dirt path before him, the instant the sounds of several mere slow footsteps coming up from behind him caught his attention; the dark haired male had immediately come to a halt simply to turn his head over his shoulders and find that two young women now stood before him, questioning him about whether or not he could direct them towards the same place that he currently was headed within. For about a minute or so, the only response that Kyosuke had given in return was nothing more then silence; these two females were rather strange to even be by any chance human, they spoke in unison but yet as well in rhymes as well.
"That is the exact place I am headed to. If you wish to be lead there, you may simply follow me. Are you...new students?" As he spoke in his usual near silent tone of voice, the young male had once more began to progress his way forward down the path.

Although he may not had shown it immediately at first glance, even as he had his back turned to this unknown duo; his guard had always been up at nearly all times just in case these two just so happened to had been yet another form of the undead from within the city. With the fact that a Lich had appeared so far outside of their usual place within the city in general; at this point, he wouldn't had been shocked if yet another undead being decided to somehow learn a way to make itself further out from it's usual spot as well.

Continuing on his way forward upon the dirt path, it was only a matter of time that that it was going to be a bit of a further walk to reach the actual place, but at the very least; it was in view now. All the while, as Kyosuke had continued forward; he would constantly turn his head from over his shoulder to take a light glimpse over towards the two that he had just met just moments ago to check whether or not they were following him.

Gina swooped down, transforming back to human as she hit the down. She grinned, and cheered along with the others. A small part of the monster attempted to knaw off her leg before disappearing but failed to do so as she blasted it with a little flame. Gina stretched her arms and shoulders, feeling sore from flying. She followed many others to the edge, where all the teachers stood. Some of the students received medical attention due to being injured in the forest so she tried to help them as well. People questioned the tears brimming in her eyes but fell silent as she helped with healing others' wounds. She saw another also helping students, but left him to what he was doing.

What had caught her attention was the shrill scream from before. Gina pushed her way through the crowd, eventually stopping at the sight of a girl with her skin nearly melted off. Instantly, she allowed plenty of tears to flow down her cheeks and scooped them up in a small vial already containing some of the clear liquid.
"Hey, you look like you could use some help." She tipped the vial slowly, allowing a small stream to cascade down the other girl's shoulder. Slowly, the welts and burns cleared, leaving her skin a slight bit pink. "How does that feel?" She asked as she continued.

@Bhlow

Alexander Keeley

Alexander's gaze had been set on the monster seemingly alert of his presence, while his visibility was hidden. He was calm and unflustered, as he stood up in the tree he had climbed wily, managing to make no sound or acknowledgement to the monster set before him. In the time span he was here, he'd encountered several monsters, all varying in different sizes and strengths. This one was the icing on the cake though.

The second he jumped down from the tree, the monster came charging at him without hesitance. He withdrew his sword from its sheath within his next attack. The monster was growling, it's attempt at intimidation. He swung his sword, aiming for the monster's right leg which he observed was his weak one due to the lack of pressure he was putting on it. The monster's response was a loud groan, vocalizing it's pain. It swung his hands at him, rapidly and repetitively. With ease Alex was able to dodge them. But as Alex clenched his sword, ready to deliver the last blow, the monster's claws raked his arm. Without a second thought Alex thrust the sharp blade into the Monster's chest, twisting it and pulling it out. The unmistakable sound of the liquid that had always seemed to ooze out after, gushed out, making a cringe worthy squelching sound in the process.

As it's lifeless body fell to the ground, Alex took this time to examine his wound. Sure enough three long gashes had run down his arm. Before, he couldn't feel the pain because of the adrenaline, but now that he had taken notice upon it, the pain was seeping in and the blood was seeping out. He held his arm as he trudged forward.

Eventually the forest opened up, revealing groups of people in worse conditions than his own. He put his sword back into his encasing, leaning his back onto a tree for support.

Rosemarie Leighton

@Puggie

There weren't many times that Rosemarie Leighton was left speechless, and when she did lack a quippy comeback or a witty comment, the world was either about to end, or it was a day to mark on the calendar - it seemed like Gina could mark it on a calendar now, although she didn't know how unusual it was for Rose to stand and look at her with her mouth hanging open.

"I...how..." She trailed off touching her red skin tentatively, which now only itched.

"Nevermind, I would have managed, you didn't have to" she finally replied haughtily, returning to her former self. "Go bother someone else, like him for example" She muttered, pointing to a battered guy that had come through into the clearing and looked like he was about to faint.

(@ambiguities )

She walked off, away from the now probably startled and hurt girl, running her hands through her hair. At least I wasn't the last one out.

Rose shrugged off her battered and ripped jacket, revealing a simple black tank top, and took the whisky flask out of her pocket, taking a long drink, all the while moving towards the commotion, where those who looked like teachers seemed to be arguing. She stayed a safe distance trying to listen in.

Nyla begin to walk towards the entrance of the school but many more students came from the forest, late and injured. Exhausted, a few pants escapes her lips between her tentative healing. Other students seemed to be adept at healing in their own ways which comforted and helped her in her endeavors. Her eyes spotted a male speaking with Isabelle, his clothes red with blood and his skin nearly white as snow; her ears had picked up one word from his sentence: “nurse” and she would rush over as quickly as possible.

Her hand gently removes the covered wound and notices the ward that he placed over the hole in his stomach to keep the blood in. ”Smart and resourceful…” she complimented the boy with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood. A hand would press against the ward and her eyes would shut, a warming green glow emitting from her hand as it has so many times. The glow was brilliant and over time it would sputter and eventually fade, though the internal wounds were mended the external point of entry and exit were still inflamed and scabbed over. ”Ah…I am sorry…It may be a little while until I can properly treat everyone…If you need to be fully healed, see me again when we enter the academy…” she gave a soft smile before turning away. @Onyx Energy

Her energy was spent, there was no way she could continue to heal anymore not without a break to restore her personal energy. Her usual colorful skin had become pale and her steps were clumsy and slow. As she made her way up the steps to the esteemed academy she would gaze up at it and shake her head. So many should not have died today…and yet they did. She was infuriated at the trial, the overpowered monsters were never part of the tradition; it was supposed to be challenging not a slaughter!

The maroon-haired maiden entered her domain of the academy, a small pristine infirmary. There was an assortment of medical supplies from bandages to crucial herbs used for salves and ointments. There was a quaint room that served as her office as well as a place she could meditate if need be. Staring at the various beds she shuts her eyes for a moment and upon opening them she sees students laying wounded on the beds, bleeding and in agonizing pain. Nyla shook her head violently to dismiss the image from her mind. A sigh escapes Nyla’s lips as she enters her office and takes a seat in the chair behind the desk. Finally a chance to relax…until the vigil for those who have fallen. Cradling her lute in her hand she delicately plucks the strings, remembering the notes to play and the words to sing.

It didn't take long for Sebastian's crys to be answered, a woman approached, her face just as pale as his own. She glanced at Isabelle and then at his wound that had a Meshtek Ward plugging the hole in his stomach, she admired it's design, how it perfectly held back the liquid life within.

"Smart and resourceful..." She said with a faint smile, exhausted through what must've been hours of work. Sebastian smiled behind the mask, nodding proudly accepting her warm compliment. She then held her hand onto his wound, a soft green glow emanating from it, glowing like a candle in the night. Energies surged into his wound, causing his pain to numb slightly much to Sebastian's relief. His wound actually started to close right before his eyes, pink flesh replacing the grotesque gore, but the woman was shaking and Sebastian knew all too well the effects of using too much energy so he firmly grabbed her hand stopping the energy flow.

"Stop, you've done enough already." He groaned, his voice monotonous due to his mask. The woman faced him with an apologetic look in her eyes.

"Ah... I am sorry..." She panted. "It may be a while until I can properly treat everyone. If you need to be fully healed, come see me when we enter the Academy." Sebastian thanked her, letting her go, and sat down by the steps to the Academy. @Nunali

When he looked around, he saw the carnage caused to the other students. Most were wounded, and others were barely alive. Sebastian felt guilt overflow inside of him, he didn't even fight a monster and prove he could be a Hunter. There was nothing he could truly be proud of, no trophy or spoils of victory. All he had was life, how pathetic. A thought crossed his mind, he must repay the healer. Sebastian still had plenty of energy to conjure a simple energy potion, one that would atleast help ease her duties, so Sebastian took his cane, and drew a conjuring circle.

"Esteliaz Seiatiin" he whispered, causing small vials containing a blue liquid to appear. These potions wouldn't completely ease his fellow students pains, but they would definitely make them feel much better. He spent the next hour handing them out to his comrades, receiving both thanks and scorns, but at least he did something.

Yongzheng found a place in the clearing to recover his spent energy and to meditate on the experiences he had. He was one step closer to vengence and the end of his internal strife. He wondered what he would learn here and the people he would meet. He was excited at the prospect of new allies he count count on. The creature that slaughtered his parents and master wasn't easily killed or it would have been removed from the mortal plane long ago.

His eyes snapped open as he looked around to his fellow students and realized how weak he was. If he had run into one of those beasts, he didn't know how long he would have lasted against one of those mammoth creatures.

He stood up and felt a bit more refreshed than before. He continued attending to the wounded as he did before and helped with retrieving the corpses of his fallen comrades. He said a prayer for each fallen soul. He would have to burn incense at the wake for the fallen. He wanted their souls to reach paradise after all.

Saikin listened in as the monster sounded like it was in pain, she held her staff close as Lyba sunk a bit deeper into the tree, just to make sure no one else saw him as a precaution. Saikin heard his steps as she placed the staff behind her, "Mister, wh-where are you going?" Saikin asked, turning her head as her hair shifted with each movement. Lyba blinked once before looking down towards the blind child, "I just need to be hidden, until this is over." He said as he turned his attention to the two people, a boy and girl, they appeared to be doing well with the group they were with. It made Lyba a bit curious as to how they were lasting this long.

Saikin turned her head towards the noises, tilting her head slightly as she took in all of the noises and cheers going on as the students had killed the monster. Saikin couldn't help but to smile at the feat, it seemed to make the other students very happy that the Swamper Slime was killed, it wasn't until she heard another voice, a older woman speaking up. Saikin shifted her head upward before hearing the sounds of Lyba leaving. "
Mister?" She called out with a soft voice as Lyba spoke up again before stopping, "You are safe now Miss, my master needs me to return to the cages or we will get in trouble. I wish you luck in your time here." He bowed his head before disappearing within the trees.

Saikin nodded once before turning her head back, sensing the woman, who she assumed was the one who owned the school and a few others around her. Once she said the exam was over, Saikin just smiled before making her staff vanish, while she did feel bad for not helping out, she was happy to hear at least some students made it alive.

Gina blinked once then grinned. So she wanted to be like that? I'll get to her. When the other girl walked off, she turned her attention to the guy whom Rosemarie had referred to and walked over. Studying his figure, she took note of the three slashes on his arm where blood was quickly seeping out.

She pulled out what remained of the vial's contents and added a few more drops.
"It seems that you use a little help." This was more of a statement than a question as Gina took his arm and, using the cloth she had covered her own wound with, mopped away at the blood. She then took the vial and opened the stopper. "Sorry but this might sting a little because of the open wound." She carefully poured a few drops onto the wounds, leaving behind three pink scars.

Gina placed the stopper back on the vial and then mopped away the remaining blood. She patted his arm.
"There, good as new. And before you ask, I am a pheonix. Name's Gina. How 'bout you?" She started packing everything back up, accidentally revealing her whip and pistols.

In the peripheral side of his vision, Alex could see a woman walking towards him. He looked at her and stood upright as she studied him for a few moments. She then pulled out a syringe looking cylindrical object, taking his arm and dribbling the liquid inside down his gashes. Alex winced as he began to feel a subtle stinging sensation. Well she was right about that, He thought. In an instant his open wound was sealed, and left behind was a fresh scar.

when she introduced herself, Alex narrowed his eyes. He didn't understand why she was being so forward, but he didn't question it either. His interest perked up slightly when she revealed that she was a Phoenix. "I'm Alexander," he paused, "Thanks by the way."

Andrew looked over towards the Nurse, as he brought his sister to the infirmary. He took her hands, and bowed his head to her. "Thank you.....You may have saved my sisters life. You've already done more than that idiot you call Kelli has done for us. "He said, as he went by his sisters side. It was obvious these two shared a close knit bond, one that was not easily broken. They balanced eachother out, and they looked out for eachother. It was the perfect existence.....

But to some monsters, it'd be the perfect weakness.

Andrew looked over as Isabelle finally woke up, hugging her. "Holy hell, sis! I was so worried.......how are you feeling?"He asked her.

Isabelle looked around, before staring at her hands. Where the magic had burned into her skin, there were now lightning shaped scars and burns dotting her hands. More likely than not, she'd have these for the rest of her life......and this alone brought a smile to her face. "I faced a level 15 monster, and I managed to somehow make it back alive......I'm better than good, I'm fucking awesome!"she said, always the optimist. She then clenched her fists, before making a soft 'hum...' noise.

Andrew looked at her. "What is it sis?"

"I don't know why but.....my arms feel a lot......'stronger' than normal.........it may be because I was healed, but I feel like that wound did something to my muscles. "she said, as she flexed the muscles in her arms. They felt.....different, almost new. Did the magic that burned through her have a body-altering effect? She shook the thought of her head, before leaping up, cracking her back. Even though she was technically considered wounded, she just looked like she was out for a run: Out of breath. "Thanks for the help, Miss Nyla. I'm a big fan of your work. "She said, bowing her head. Nyla would be able to see that she had in her eyes the 'right' amount of determination and stubbornness, the makings of a leader. Given that she managed to lead a group of students through a near suicide mission in the forest, she also had charisma.

Andrew would look around, before seeing that one of the females had a spot of rotgut. Walking over, head low, he would whisper. "I'll buy you the next 3 you drink if I could have some right now. "He said. Though there was no drinking age, that had long since been abandoned, there was still the stigma of drinking at a young age. However, Andrew's body hurt all over: He had run across an entire forest, gotten attacked by monsters, and he would soon have to deal with Kelli. He needed to relax.

Kelli walked the halls. Normally, after every trial, they'd be bustling with new students. However, the halls seemed.....quieter now, almost somber. Thanks to Alisters version of fun, several dozen students were now dead.....The trial was meant to be a test, not a massacre......Kelli could almost barley contain her rage at what Alister had done. Breaking the rules of tradition was one thing, asking her to craft papers for a student that wouldn't survive without aid was another, but sending in higher level monsters after students......Kelli would have to remind Smiley who exactly 'Held the leash' here at Scholomance. He may only listen to Saiken, but he worked for her.

Tama Yoshimitsu

Once actually stepping into the large school walls as he had stepped beside Allistair the entire time, the white haired man had simply chuckled to himself about the words that the smiling male was speaking about how he'd have to wait and see about the possible surprises he had in mind for the newer recruit students that were coming for their first years at Scholomance. It wasn't until he had stated that the two were to get to work before the 'harpy' was going to become angered; obviously mentioning none other then the Headmistress herself. Shaking his head in response to this; Tama would've just remained silent with his usual chuckle as he only separated himself from Allistair when it had come to a slight fork in the hallway where one direction had actually lead the way towards the larger room where Tama had taught his own class.

The classroom that the white haired male had for his own room was a rather large and seemingly empty room that expanded in a far range that soon enough came out to a large open field. The reason for his room to be like such was simply due to him teaching and training his students in a real-time battle situation as though they were actually facing danger in the real world rather then it being a trial or test of some sort. Of course, during these sessions; Tama would be watching and studying his students to either give them advice of what to do during their battles and only stepping in if it truly required it to be so..such as someone being nearly at the point of death.

Kyosuke Nishikawa

Continuing on his path forward on the large dirt path towards the academy in the distance; throughout the walk there, the only thing that ever came from the dark haired male was complete silence. Never once did he actually state anything towards the two females that had followed him simply because he had wished to be cautious around the two of them in case they were dangerous at all. The only time that anything was ever spoken up about was once, one of them had decided to question the male about how long he had attended the academy for. Even as he kept walking forward without so much as turning his head over slightly; Kyosuke would still speak with the two of them in his usual tone of voice. "I have attended this place for three years now. This shall be my fourth year here." As he spoke up to the answer the simple question; he would simply continue his way forward for another several minutes to be able to reach the academy until a question of his own came to his mind to ask of the two females. "So I take it. You two are also trying to learn about either yourselves or your powers to be attending this place?" Even as he spoke, Kyosuke would've kept his back turned to the duo until he had finally ended up reaching a large ach that separated themselves from the academy grounds and the outside area of it.

"If that's your attempt of asking me out for a drink - it's rather poor" She muttered, passing the flask to the guy. "This your first year?" She asked, figuring that maybe she could get information out of him on where their rooms were and when their luggage would be delivered. She glanced down at her torn leather jacket. With my luggage I could get a new jacket, I feel like I've lost a hand without it.

"Don't drink all of it" She warned, with an edge in her voice, realising that until she got her luggage she would have to go sober, and if anyone between that time realised that her mother was hailed monster hunter Janine Leighton; she would have to be very drunk to bear the comparison.

Nyla was busy checking on other students that had found their way to the infirmary after the mass of monsters outside the academy’s bounds. Exhausted from her healing, Nyla turns to her knowledge of salves and ointments to ease the sufferings of the wounded. As she attended to Isabelle’s arms she would smile at the thanks Andrew’s sister gave her. ”Your muscles may have been affected by the amount of energy you channeled through them...If basic motions become a problem please come and see me again and I will help however I can.” Isabelle’s arms were wrapped in bandages and Nyla was busy unwrapping them and tending to any leftover scrapes or bangs. ”No, don’t thank me for doing my job. I just wish I could have done more to help you out there...” her movements paused for a moment as she momentarily reflected upon the countless lives lost at the hands of the academy. Alistair...It just had to be him... she thought to herself, knowing that Kelli respected the tradition and would have never interfered with them. ”If you would excuse me...” she said with a trembling voice before leaving the siblings. She felt her hands shaking and soon her entire body was quivering either with rage or sorrow...or perhaps both.

The door to her office shut, hands gripping her forearms in an attempt to calm herself but she couldn’t. Nyla had never been beyond Scholomance during the exam until this year and what she had seen was harrowing. Her nails dug into her skin and the pain snapped her out of whatever dark corner she was sinking into, eyes red as she walks out from the office and heads down the hallway.

Nyla had opened the door the Kelli’s office, expecting her to be there the usual cheery demeanor in her face had faded and as she approached Kelli’s desk her hands slammed down onto its wooden surface. ”What the hell was that out there?!” she shouted, voice cracking as raw emotion drove her. ”You need to keep that monster under control Headmistress or so help me…!” her eyes widened as she noticed her tone of voice with the leader of the school. While what happened wasn’t entirely Kelli’s fault it was no excuse to lose her cool. Her hands slid of the desk and she took a few steps back. ”I apologize Headmistress...I just...” Nyla’s hands formed fists and her jaw clenched as she spoke. ”It was him, wasn’t it?” her voice quivered as she spoke, obviously not wanting to lose her temper again.

Andrew just chuckled, taking the flask. "Sorry ma'am, but I came here to kill monsters, not get hitched. Besides, you look like someone from one of those regal families outside of the Six cities, I was born up north in a little hamlet. "He said, as he felt the flask. "Bleh, things warm......"He said, as he pressed a finger to it. His hand would glow a soft white until a small mist emitted from the bottle. "Perfect. Hope you don't mind, but I prefer my whiskey cold. "He said, taking a drink. "So what brought you here? Famous family member like me, or did my bitch of a sister recruit you?" He asked, handing the flask back to her.

Isabelle would turn around and sigh hearing this. "Brother, I wish you would get over this Grudge with her about it. Yvonne is- "

"Don't call her that! That was the name mother gave her, and she forsook it. Call her by that name she wants: Kelli. Also, hell no will I drop it, I don't see how you could Isabelle. "He said. By the amount of hate in his voice, it was clear that he was rooted in his position. "Bathamul, Anari, Mother, and Matthias: She left them all to die, she deserves no better. "He said to her, as he leaned in his chair. If what he said was true, then the head-master of this school was his sister.

Isabelle opened up her back, taking the snack-foods out. "I haven't forgotten, nor have I forgiven......but she's not worth the effort to hate, Andrew. "She said, as she looked around the infirmary at the other students. She'd then push her food out. "Anyone want any, take some. I got plenty back on the train when we were on the train."She said, smiling.

Kelli would simply stand from her desk, before lightly touching the crystal at the base of it. She listened to the Mistress of Aura carefully, before speaking. It would broadcast a message to all the teachers. "To all staff, please report to my office immediately. "She said, as she pulled the crystal out.

"
I understand your feeling, Miss Nyla. While I wish I could be rid of him altogether, we need him, he's an exceptionally skilled monster-tamer in his own right........but we won't need to worry about that much longer."She said, as she pulled out two folders. "A student by the name of Saiken is his 'Mistress' and I intend to remind him that, if he wants her to stay safe, he'll remember who pays for her tuition.....and he'll be happy to know that I managed to find an Alchemy teacher: His sister, Clowette. "She said, with a smile.

Yongzheng humbly accepted the food graciously. Running through a forest full of overpowered monsters and death traps was taxing on one's body. He nibbled on the food one of the faculty was handing out. It wasn't like the food from his homeland but it wasn't bad.

He continued snacking as he looked around at his fellow students how had survived the ordeal in the forest. It had brought those who survived much closer and made them stronger. He reckoned they were all a bit tougher after such an event. He hoped nothing like that would happen again soon. He wanted to focus on training and learning ad much as he could before he graduated. He hoped the smiling man would not be one of his teachers. He was a scary teacher!
