Man and the Beast have always existed side by side. Our darkest sins have always manifested themselves in the Beast; terrors from the void, vampires, werewolves, the undead. When we settled the New World, the Beast was different, but the method by which we fought them was the same. We exported the Slayers from Europe, who tamed first New England, then west to the Mississippi.
The year is now 1850. Fillmore, the newly inaugurated President of the United States, has begun his candidacy by deploying as many American Slayers to the recently annexed territories of the Mexican War. Among them is John/Mary Rosen (some character creation will be done by vote), a German-born American who recently became a full-fledged Slayer.
The RP will follow Rosen's journey into the West, beginning in Chicago and following his/her Hunts through the untamed American frontier.
