House Kandy has ruled the continent for many years since uniting it's civilized people in Year 0 A.U. (After Unity). Things are looking bleak, however, for their continued influence.
King Kit K. Kandy has become very old in his ruling age, now bedridden indefinitely. The Ex-Queen, Darry Frostine, has left to continue her services as the Keeper of the Ice Palace. The King's only daughter Jolina-Dott has disavowed herself from her title as Princess, living as a simple Duchess of Ringlik instead.

With these dangerous forthcomings, the knowledge of who will be ruling Saccharum has for once in many years been left unknown. Many Dukes, Marquis, Lords, and other figures of power begin expanding their territories, exploring more of their passively magical country, and pining for a place under the Candy Crown.

S:SS is a Nation Builder RP, and the first one I'll ever run. It'll be a mix of roleplaying and light dice-rolling, as well as exploration and political intrigue. Discord is a must and will be used for behind-the-scenes interactions and combat results, with the major actions and world interactions on RPN.

Each player will begin as a noble or leader of a settlement within Saccharum, somewhere on the candy continent with its own people and banner. S:SS has many clear inspirations, like Game of Thrones and Candyland (neither of which you have to be familiar with at all), meaning that nations will rise and fall. No worries though; if a player loses it all, they can continue as a different character or survivor, or if they think it will be narratively satisfying, completely drop out. The stakes will be high, folks.

As per other Nation Builders, players will usually have three Main Actions and a number of free actions as they would choose. Main Actions include items like constructing buildings, meeting with another settlement to broker a contract, or equipping a unit for combat. Free Actions, on the other hand, include things like exploring the wilderness further, making trades, using an established skill or ability, etc.
 
Do we have to be specifically candy themed, or can we be themed after other things?

Like pastries, or even bbq?
BBQ isn't exactly allowed, but anything with sweets (even vaguely associated) can be included, meaning Pastries are in that group!
 
Weird and potentially horrible question. Could a nation of cream filled sweets/pastries infiltrate other nations by seizing citizens and secretly converting them into cream filled items?

Interesting idea. Just doing that by itself wouldn't work, as it would simply be mutilation at best, but if some sort of ritual or magic item was used to enchant those that were converted then it's plausible.
 
I'm also very interested ! The setting look cool. I have ideas to play cookies or chocolate or heck marzipan. (Everything has no meaning except the fact I like those sweet)
