  Hi everyone! Thanks so much for showing interest in this roleplay of mine! Character sheet submissions will be due 12 AM CST on July 20th, unless an extension is requested, in which case we can work something out c: Before you get started on your character sheets, here are some things to keep in mind:

  This is a roleplay centered around murder, so feel free to give your characters some dark, juicy secrets. It's the 80s, after all, so don't be afraid to get wild.
  
  -- MOTIVES --
  Give your characters a reason to have wanted to kill this man. I know that sounds horrible, but all six characters are high suspects in a murder investigation. Did they hate him because he was always getting them into trouble? Was he a bad principal that enforced stupid rules? You get the idea.

  caroline is what most would consider a type a personality. she is competitive, hard working, regimented person. she has always been this way. she was the type of kid who was a wreck if they were off their schedule. but, though she is a bit rigid, she still knows how to prioritize fun. everyone needs to relieve stress to function. caroline is most definitely not shy, but she tends to hold back until she gets to know a person. she does quite enjoy attention once she is around people she is comfortable with. she has grown much more private since the rumors started to spread, not wanting to contribute in any way. she can be confrontational and even bitchy at times, especially when it comes to comments directed towards her. however, she doesn't bother denying the rumors anymore. she's tried, but nobody believes it. why would they when there were pictures to back it up?

  caroline and principal moore do not have the best relationship. she is in and out of his office all the time for little to no reason at all and she hates it. she is sick of it and things are very tense between them.

  caroline was a bit of a surprise when she came along seven years after her brother. henry and marybeth only planned on having one child, but were more than happy to add to their little family. her entry into the world was also a surprise with her arrival being nearly three weeks early. thankfully, things turned out okay. her early childhood was fairly average. both her parents worked, so they had a fairly comfortable lifestyle. they were by no means rich, but they had enough for what they needed and were able to take a nice vacation once a year.
  
  however, when caroline was six, her father got sick. brain cancer. caroline was really too young to truly understand what was happening, but shortly after she turned seven, her father was gone. things for caroline changed after that. they moved to a smaller house, her mom worked later hours, and there were no more vacations. essentially, caroline and her brother were latchkey kids. aside from her ballet lessons, she had nothing special in her life. though she never wanted much. she spent most of her time at ballet class or sitting by the pool with her friends.
  
  in school, she was in the middle. she definitely was not part of the popular crowd, but she was not an outcast either. she was just... there. she had her group of friends and stuck to them. that is until her sophomore year of high school. she had gone to a party with her friends and had a bit too much to drink. one thing led to another and she ended up in a bedroom with a guy. some polaroids were taken, but nothing actually happened. they just ended up falling asleep.
  
  next thing caroline knew, everybody knew about the pictures. everyone assumed things happened between her and the guy and it's not like the guy denied it. rumors begin to spread wildly. through the rest of the year and her junior year nearly every guy had some sort of "experience" with caroline though she had never actually been with any of them. in fact, she's never had sex with anyone. sure, she's had her fun, but the rumors went far beyond that.
  
  now, she has a reputation that everybody is aware of. whether they judge her for it, don't care, or want to hook up with her, everyone knows who she is. since then, she has quit ballet and started working to save up and go off to college somewhere far from her high school where she can get away from this reputation.

  honestly, caroline had no problem with him until the rumors got out of control. naturally, he started targeting her. dress code violations mainly, but he's get her in trouble for anything he could. he basically said she needed to focus on her education and stop spreading her legs. granted, she was not the most pleasant to deal with during these interactions. she was tired of it. also, how can she focus on her education when she keeps getting pulled out of class?

He is a little lazy; he likes to work smarter instead of harder, but isn't to adamant about this. Marc also always has a plan for anything that can have a plan. He tends to dedicate certain days or hours for certain things; for example, Saturday is a day for relaxation; Monday is a day for studying, etc. While he has empathy, Marc doesn't always show it. Instead, he keeps his face emotionless, both deliberately and unconsciously. Marc tends to let others take the fall, and doesn't stand up for them. Marc grew up in a middle-class family with an older brother. He was a very good reader, although he wasn't interested in books at first. Instead, he was just a nerdy kid, who spent most of his time playing in arcades or on his NES. Once high school started, Marc's interests shifted to reading. He got a library membership and used it often, going through both the nonfiction and fiction genres. Recently he's decided to buy books, and while his parents gave him money at first, they told him to get a job after a while. Marc found one at the Daily Scoop. At school, he built a reputation as the smart kid, who was willing to give answers for homework. Some people think he's a sociopath, but most people don't think about him.​

  description stevie is a little spitfire with a mouth too big for her own good. she's notorious for stirring up trouble whether she means to or not (let's be honest, though, most of the time it's intentional). she has a permanent seat in detention and is well acquainted with the inside of the principal's office. she can be a bit mean-spirited, especially if she's had a bad day, so don't be surprised if she starts hurling insults. even though she acts like she's unbreakable, stevie is actually pretty sensitive, but she does her best to hide that part of her so as not to seem "weak." she's afraid of not being good enough and losing the few people she cares about. because of this, she can be a little overprotective at times, which can come across as overbearing if she's not careful. she rarely lets down her walls to let people see what she's really like, and if that means having the reputation of a mouthy asshole then so be it.

  history stevie was born to curtis and cynthia tate on a cold november day. ever since then, her life has been filled with that same coldness. her mother died when she was only four years old, leaving her in the care of an angry, abusive father. from an early age, it was instilled in her that she would never amount to anything, so, just like any self-fulfilling prophecy, she didn't. without someone there to nurture her, she became just as bitter as her dad. on some nights, she simply stood and took the hateful words he would throw at her, but sometimes she yelled back, which often earned her a slap or two. on the occasions that he hit her, stevie would sneak out and go for a late night drive with no destination in mind, only wanting to run away. she always came back in the end, though, because deep down, she knew there was no one else to turn to.
