Rules for Rise Battles


Rule #1 - Only 1 battle may be held at a time in the main thread tournament. Practice battles may be held in the out of character chat while a tournament is occurring in the main thread.


Rule #2 - Tournament battles have designated time periods, usually lasting about 75 minutes. If a combatant is not online and does not participate in his/her battle, the battle shall be postponed and reassigned a time.


Rules for Rise PVP


Rule #1 - The Battles shall utilize a true to life damage system. Such as, a stabbing in the heart, would kill a combatant. These attacks are called kill blows.


Rule #2 - Killing blows with be decided with a 8 side die, and all kill blows can only occur after 20 minutes have passed. Receiving a 1,2,7, or 8 on the die will result in a failed kill blow. The die is to be rolled only once. A failed kill blow will result in a 10 minute penalty, preventing all kill blows from the previous user until penalty time elapses.


Rule #3 - A combatant can not once again post an attack until the opponent has given a response to the previous one.


Rule #4 - An action must occur within 10 minutes of the previous action, otherwise the combatant who has yet to respond will be deemed AFK and the match will be ended or postponed, based on the AFK combatants excuse. If the battle is ended, the AFK combatant's opponent takes the win and moves on.


Rule #5 - If time ends and no kill blow is landed, there will be a time-out in the match, and it will be postponed.


Rule #6 - All kill blows must be identified by the referee and confirmed by the combatants before die is rolled.


Ex:


Combatant 1 - He lunged his spear to the opponents heart.


Referee - -Kill Blow?-



Combatant 1 - -Yes-



Referee - -Approved-



Combatant - *rolls die*



Die - 4



Referee - Land connects. Combatant 1 has defeated Combatant 2.






Rule #7- All other combat can be either RP-action or Die rolling. This is determined by the combatants agreement on it at the beginning of the battle. This setting cannot be changed mid-battle.
